Get ready for some SIMPLE STAMPIN' FUN over the next couple of days as I am in the mood of giving as I am so blest in many ways! I had a great report yesterday as the fracture is healing….and I do not have to go back for 4 weeks for an x-ray….but it looks like Mid March will be the goal to start to put weight on it!

Layers and Layers…..I just love the below card! I learn from your work! The embossing adds that FUN touch!
Is this super sweet or what – now this is what I call a true 2 for 1! Not only a beautiful card….I can "take it all in with a cup of tea" – I feel a CASING coming soon!
Color…color….rich and beautiful! This just screams an instant "Feel Better" I adore the richness of the blue…
By now you know that Polka Dots, Balloons and (Carmel Apples) make me smile! How can the color yellow not make you smile as well! I adore the color combination – so clean and classic!
Let's talk about that bow – such a simple touch that breaks the card up to make it POP! Love it!

I am o.k. with accepting that Leadership is not in the cards for me this year! True I am crushed as I was so hoping to get a hug from Mickey Mouse….seeing my PAL friends….my cyber friends and meet new friends and be a sponge taking everything in!
I am doing better and better each and everyday but the doctor thinks that flying is not the best thing…and it is simply too soon. We all know that I would be going full steam ahead with my "Wheely Knee Thing" and I figured I could use the basket on the front for card swaps!
It's all good as we will have fun together this week and I have some BLOG CANDY for you later this week! Heck, I figured if I could not go to Leadership….let's have FUN and have some great Blog Chats! Please pop back as I have put my thinking cap on for some fun days together!

This is created by a fellow PAL that is the "sweetest" – we had the pleasure of being together in Arizona at a retreat that Mary had and Mary Lou is one special lady….just love her! (she truly has the most beautiful smile)
O.k. folks…this is the most AMAZING stamp set out there and remember it is a FREEBIE with Sale-a-bration and there are soooo any amazing cards out there using it….just like this beauty! I have yet to get it "inky" but this is a new week and I am going to give it a spin!
These colors are sooooo rich and yummy – the hint of shimmer makes it super special. Annette also stamped the flower on the inside of the card with her super sweet sentiment to me….thanks! (loved your message)
Here we go again….is this the best or what! I am just amazed at how versatile this stamp set is and in these colors….it looks totally different!
Another thing that I ADORE about Julie's card is her paper piercing…darn, I forget about that – it add such a great effect and it is so easy….just something I forget! Thanks for this super seet card!
I still have more cards to share but tomorrow I am going to share with you the "swap" card that I made for the PALS "Sip and Swap" this week at Leadership! The theme was "Birthday" and I think that I made a "Susan style card" that will be well received!
The BEST thing about swaps is….you give and you get! I just LOVE that motto…the PALS were so kind to let me still participate…..and the BEST thing is….I will be able to share with you what I receive back!

Happy Sunday! Here is another post of fabulous cards and FUN that have have received while I have been on my BUM!
Confession….yesterday I was getting a little "stir crazy" so I went and took a nap! (This is something that I never usually do and I felt a bit quilty but heck – I really liked it!) When Hannah called to see how I was doing I told her I napped and she said – "Isn't it wonderful…I could have told you a long time ago…naps are under-rated" Darn I love that peep!
Here you go with more inspiration from some talented people! You will get a kick out of one of them….as Daisy Mae (the pig) got a hold of an element of a card and what can I say but pigs just do not listen like a dog!
This 1st card is right up my alley….very clean and simple and oh so versatile with many different sentiments! This is from the very talented Karen Hallam from sunny CA and I am proud to have her on my team! Karen always comes up with classic and clean designs and she has just started a blog….please pop on over and give her some love!
This next FUN and UNIQUE idea came from one of my "Old Faithfuls" Make it Mine Monday gals….(This is the goodie that Daisy Mae got into).….heck – her lips were chapped and she just needed a little help!
This is from Sharon Haster and what a GREAT idea! These "EOS lip Balms" are so popular right now (I think Hannah has 5+ of them) and just look what Sharon did….she made the flower on the card….and then the lip balm is the blossom!
Sharon sent me a beautiful "Pink" one….and it rolled off my table and Daisey Mae….SWOOPED it up! (I borrow one of Hannah's for the picture) – wouldn't this be a great idea for Valentines!
This card is very special to me for many reasons…it is from a Demonstrator that lives in my area and we were at a local flower nursery last Spring and she came up to me and re-introduced herself to me….(it has been years as she used to work for the dentist I went to) This as such a huge surprise and it truly touched my heart!
Another thing, Robin used a clear envelope to mail it and WOW – I felt so special and it has taught me that I need to use them to mail cards….it certainly makes a fun statement!
Now this FUN, you better bet that I will be CASING and also "snatching" this great idea (Hannah would love it during Exams)….the card is a bit longer than an A-2 envelope but I am going to put my thinking cap on and post about it for all of us to case!
Chris is also a PAL and always, always makes me smile! It truly would be a gift to meet in person as I know that I can always count on Chris's comments to brighten my day!
Now does this make you smile or what! I feel so bad that the pictures do not do it justice but I am in awe with how Cathi was so bold to put such unique and vibrant colors together…..here comes a woot-woot!
The 2nd one is better so I hope that you can "take in" all of the vibrance – I keep looking at it and say – "I need to get out of the boring box"….
Well I hope that you have enjoyed this parade of beauties as much as I have enjoyed receiving them…guess what – I still have some more!
We haven't talked about dear Rosie lately….here is her up date -the "Cone of shame" is off and she is my trusty companion that sits on the back of the sofa watching over the family room while her brothers are on the floor…..what does she think she is….a Princess?

Woot-woot…bloggin 2 days in a row ~ Now I call that an accomplishment!
Before we get to day #1 of the parade of beauties….I can only say – WOW….many, many thanks for all of your comments and well wishes yesterday! I feel like a kid in a candy store as I am so touched and smiling with your comments!
Below is a showcase of cards that I have received and there will be more on the way! I just adore showcasing work of art from your heart! Thank you…thank you ~ I apologize that the picture editing is not the best but I cannot get to the place where I usually take my pictures!

The below card is one that I am going to CASE and "tweek" it to make it just a bit different and also make it into a "Thank You" card to send out! (we have had many great dinners "dropped off"….and WOW -that is such a life saver)
This card was made by my downline and friend, Jeanie….she is a HOOT and truly one talented person…you have heard me blog about her many times and I know that this card will make you smile!
I just keep looking and looking and then BEAM as I love all of the textures of this card…a "must do for me" – try to use washi tape more….I love the way it looks in the below card – and these colors…..wowzers!
I just adore being a PAL, the below card is made by someone I have never met but at the same time someone that I know that I instantly connect with….LOVE her style….LOVE the clean and classic lines in her work – please check out her blog as she is one talented lady! I always say – we are "sisters at heart" with our cards!
Get ready for a BIG smile…this below is from a talented downline and WOW – not only was I smiling but I was doing the "happy dance" as look at these AMAZING yummy pretzels…and daily I have been enjoying them!
Don't you just love how Rosanne used such bold prints together? Again, these colors are so rich and FUN! I wish each of you could be holding this in your hands as the photo does not do this justice!
Now is this a beauty or what! I have not used this stamp set for some time but you bet I will be real soon. Don't you just love all of the different elements of this card…and the embossing…WOW!
Again, you can really see in the 2nd picture of the layering….using solid color paper and layering the shapes keep the card so balancd and allows the beautful stamped flowers POP!
Well I hope that this post has put a "Spring in your step" this Saturday and I hope that these cards inspires you to go and create! Please do not underestimate the power of sending a handmade card. It does make a differnence!

Hello…I am going to make lemonade outs of lemons and give you a list of 10 things I have learned since I have been on "my bum"!!! I am doing better and the swelling is now sooooo much better. I still have a sensitivity to the material of the "boot" but read #8 below and you'll laugh!
I am super-duber excited for today as….JEANIE IS COMING OVER and that means that I will laugh…and that means we will have fun….and that means that we will stamp….and that means I will be a SMILING SUSAN! (well…actually I have been smiling as I am very blessed)
Let's get going with today's 10 things I've learned from a broken ankle…
- I have the BEST husband in the whole wide world….he is beyond a keeper (as I type this he is making us dinner…and already fed the horses and dogs)
- I have the BEST "peeps" in the world….each and everyday I get a call….."Hi Mom….how are you doing…."
- I LOVE STAMPIN UP….I have the BEST downline,fellow demonstrators, customers and cyber friends….emailing me, sending me cards and inspirations….(so darn sweet!!!)
- Having a broken ankle is "speed bump"….is just that – a speed bump that will pass before I know it. It truly could be sooooo much worse with all of the "craziness out there in the world"….and "sadness in the world" – this is nothing!
- You only need to watch the news once during the day.…anymore you will be able to recite word from word what is going on….(and actually the news is pretty depressing)…I often just listen to music.
- I found new love….(I am not a t.v. person but believe me….I found a new favorite)…I adore Food TV and I love….LOVE the Pioneer Women show (she is right after my own heart….loves to cook, animals, photography, the outdoors…..yep – love it)
- Learn to bite your lip and be grateful….John hung a bird feeder out the window so I could enjoy seeing birds BUT.…the minute birds come and eat… the Jack Russells….all 4 of them bark at the same time and Daisy, the pig….goes right under the bird feeder and roots for all of the little pieces – therefore while he is at work the kitchen door is a revolving door! (I've learned to put the blinds down!)
- Learn to bite the other side of your lip! I have had a sensitivity to the material that the "boot" is made out of and John has come up with a brilliant idea and it really works….1st – do not throw away the odd socks in your house….they can be handy! John takes his old cotton socks and cuts them to put over my foot so my skin is not touching the material BUT I had to call him at work as I could not find my good Stampin' Up! Craft scissors…I LOVED his response – "Oh, you mean the sock scissors….they are great for cutting socks!!!)
- Listen to your body….take time to slow down and figure out how to enjoy the journey! I adore being at home, true I wish that I could zip here and there like I did but I know that part of life will return very quickly…and for right now…I am doing just fine!
- Animals truly are the best to talk to! My 5 dogs, wonderful pig…have been the best and they always make me laugh! I swear they look at me and say, "Wow – you really are spending a lot of time in bed"….but I love it as they are right here with me!
Each and everyday is a gift…and my spirits are good (can't deny that I have had many bitty party's but I realized that no one was show up except the dogs)….and what would make me feel GREAT is to be playing with paper and creating.
I have a make shift area in our family room and I am sure that I will be able to come up with some cute cards that hopefully you will like!
Many thanks to so many that have emailed me etc….I adore all of your well wishes and I cannot wait to share with you an amazing parade of beautiful cards that I have received…..you will be smiling promise!!!

Good Morning! There simply are no words that convey to you all how much I have missed you….missed blogging….missed creating….and simply missed being me! I am not one that is used to being down and not being able to do "simple things of dailiness"…
Today, (Tuesday the 13th) is the first time that I have posted since last Friday when I let you know that I fell and broke my ankle! I knew that it would be a speed bump but I did not think that the past several days would have been what they were….
The great news is…there is "light" as I am feeling much, much better. I had a reaction over the weekend and true I am stubborn as an ox and finally my dear John said – we are going back in to the hospital as something is not right (Sunday at 4 a.m.), he did make me laugh as he said…."let's just go now and beat the rush"….he is simply the best!
I feel like I am one tough bird but I guess I have super sensitive skin and even tough no one would believe that the pain was so bad…it was not from the break…it was an irritation from the material that was used against my skin!!! The minute they took everything off…..I was like wanting to jump off the table with joy!
The final scoop is…yes I broke my ankle and it is a spiral fracture. It looks like it will heal well without surgery but they are not going to make that final call until next Wednesday. I still have excessive swelling and now I am trying to be a GOOD GIRL and keep it UP as I want to get better!
I am soooooo hoping that I can go to Leadership at the end of the month so I really am trying to be a good patient…
The bad news is….my work studio is upstairs. I was on so many pain killers over the past several days that I have done basically nothing and be in bed but now that that the "weird sensitivity pain is gone" – I am not taking anything other than over the counter and I am hoping to be able to get back in the swing of things!
I have not been on the computer at all and later today I am going to hope to pop and see things I need to answer to etc…just to let you all know that are part of the product shares….(they will be out the door tomorrow) – John has been bringing me piece by piece to cut and I have it all done – I just need to package it and tomorrow he will mail them.
For those of you that are Stamp of the Month Clubbers…no worries either – I will work from the table downstairs and I am also going to ask Jeanie to come help me – we'll have fun! My order is to be in tomorrow.
Hopefully through my blogging you can see that I love life and that I love to experience so many different things…I deeply thank you for not loosing faith in me…I will be right back to where I was….it's just a speed bump and I need to listen to my body!
