***sorry for the delay this morning….the computer and I were not getting along last evening*** 😈

In keeping with the theme of the week…
USE UP YOUR DESIGNER SERIES PAPERS
Today’s card is showcasing just that plus (2) of my favorite stamp sets…Watercolor Words and Flower Shop. When you get to the end of this post you will see that I just showed the Flower Shop as a bundle….well yep – I did that on purpose as you know that I do not steer you wrong, this set you really will want the matching punch!
I think coordinating punches are one of the best “speed tools” we can have and today’s card you can clearly see that the flowers are popped out perfectly….and that makes us smile! 🙂

It truly does not get any easier than this…I must admit, there are days that I look at my cards and think why does anyone need to see this as it is so simple and perhaps a bit boring….but remember when we have talked about developing a “style” that is in your comfort zone ~ well this is my comfort zone.
White card base…a layer on top…a 1″ piece of DSP…and the stamping….DONE = works for me!

In the above picture I popped up one of the flowers with one dimensional and then the flower to the right, I “doubled” up on the dimensionals – sometimes I think this just gives an extra touch, creating extra depth. The white accents in the middle of the flowers are a soft touch and they are much easier to mail (as the are rounder)

Let’s chat about this sentiment…don’t you just LOVE the font and the carefree script look it gives? I will be a sad Susan if this set, Watercolor Words gets on the retired list…I adore this set and have used it over and over and never get tired of it….this is what I call a true blue keeper set! (remember this list of retired products will be unveiled on Monday)
One thing that I do know…the Flower Shop Stamp set will be carrying over. Stampin’ Up! listed a very short list of some stamp sets that were in the catalog in case people wanted to make swap cards for the event that is taking place right now in Salt Lake City…….this makes me happy as I love these flowers.

Let’s pull it all together in the last picture for the day…I love it – how about you???? Simple, Clean, Special….I could go on and on. Now I ask you – can you see yourself making this card?
I say…PULL OUT THAT PAPER that I know you have and make some cards. You will feel so much better using up your DSP and then the bonus – you have some cards on hand so when you need them…you are good to go!

Have a great Saturday and my fingers are crossed that the cyber gods and I just were having a “moment yesterday”….it is to be a beautiful and SUNNY day here…no reason not to be happy and blessed with that!

Good Friday to all….for MOST years, today would be the end of tax season and our family would be super happy to have John back home and not to be burning candle as he has been BUT Tax Season is not over until Monday, April 18th (for all of you out there that need that fun fact)
I know that you all would be disappointed if I mess up our weekend fun of the (2) day post that you have grown to love ~ so today we are going to do some house cleaning…..date reminders! Below are calendars to give you a reminder!

- Starting today APRIL 15th ….CARD SWAP…Your choice ~ anything other than SNOW 🙂 ….I am wide open to whatever you decide (I would say think spring and summer).… ~ I am trying to get my Blog lined up while I am away in May….. so starting today and ending May 15th (that gives you a month) You know by now that I adore showcasing your work on my blog….so while I am away in May, I will showcase everyone’s work….all I ask is that you have it to me by MAY 15th! (that is the day that Hannah graduates from College – WOOT-WOOT).
Send me ONE card along with a self addressed and stamped envelope so I can send another work of art from their heart to YOU! This is always so fun to see. Please send it to and write on the outside of the envelope CARD SWAP to:
Susan Itell ~ 15002 Randall Lane ~ Williamsport, MD 21795
- Monday, April 18th – 3 P.M. EASTERN TIME….the retired list will be posted and I will share it with you as soon as I get it …..so I am giving you a HEAD’S UP to have your catalog ready as the retired items are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.….the early bird gets the worm….(sounds like a great time to take a break at work)
When the retired list is unveiled – it is always a popular time for orders as just because they are being retired does not mean that they are not “keepers” – it is always a bittersweet time for all of us …soooooo – if there is a stamp set, a tool. a die….whatever that you have been looking at and it is on the “bye-bye birdie” list….I would grab it, again…while supplies last.
- Monday evening, April 18th ~ The weekly deals are coming to an end but please check the offerings out here as there are some AMAZING deals at 25% off. Stampin’ Up! is planning to revamp this offering to a larger scale several time a year rather than something weekly.

There are some fabulous offerings….like the thinlits….they are all keepers – I have blogged many great ideas using them…and you know how I feel about bakers twine…regular and thick – LOVE IT!!!! Whenever a thinlit is 25% off…I say go for it! (I will have to tell you….if you were a hobbyist you would get the 25% off plus an additional 20% or 25% off….now that is WOW!) It really is that easy!

- May 3th – The Pre-Order begins for Demonstrators for the new catalog!!!! YIPPEE!!!! Why am I teasing with you that fun fact!?!? EASY = You can get a starter kit… be a smart shopper and get a discount, be a hobbiest (join the 97% of the company) and fill it with the NEW products for the upcoming catalog that are on the pre-order….yep – for $99.00 you can fill it with $125.00 worth of goodies that will not be order-able until June. Email me if you would like more details.
I will be ordering the new catalogs on May 3rd so if you have placed an order with me over the past year….I will be sending you a catalog. If you address has changed, please make sure that I have it as I would hate for you not to get your catalog etc…..
If you are currently not working with a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would love to work with you. Please email me and I will add you to my mailing list.
- PRODUCT SHARES – YES….I will be offering a PRODUCT SHARE and these are always sooooooo popular! I am as excited as you are to see the new goodies but trust me, when I can see the catalog and figure out the shares…I will pass them onto you!
When you receive your catalog…and see all of the new kids on the block, it is always great not to have to worry about buying all of the paper and ribbons etc….a product share gives you a taste of this and that without breaking your piggy bank (Daisey would be sad if you broke a piggy bank) 😥

- June 1st – The NEW Catalog goes LIVE for you to order….YIPPEE….this will be a popular cyber day and you bet I will do as I always do….have an offering exclusive for people that order from me!!!
WHEW…..there you go! I hope that these reminders were helpful to you and you jot them down on your calendar. I am super excited to see the new catalog and right now there are many PALS in Salt Lake City seeing the unveiling….I guess it is a good thing that I do not bite my nails….but trust me, when I am able to view the catalog online…you bet that I will have an endless cup of coffee! 🙂
I would love for you to be able to join the PALS fun and be a hobbiest…there are (2) thoughts about when would be a great time…please email me and I can further explain options and ideas!
- After Monday at 3 when the retired list is unveiled – this way you can get $125.00 of goodies and only pay $99.00 and then you will be able to view the NEW catalog on line and still take part in the pre-order. (also if there are weekly deals that you want, I would throw them in there as well)
- Join on May 3rd – and pack that kit with brand new product from the NEW CATALOG PRE-ORDER items
Either way you cannot lose, no obligations to do anything else, it is that simple. If you used to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, than you already know that it is that easy and I would welcome you to come back!
Hope to see you tomorrow for our weekend fun….have a FABULOUS day!

Good Thursday to you and you know what that means…time for a challenge with the Pals Paper Art Challenge. Today is a sketch challenge and look who is the guest designer today, yours truly!
Now I hope that you play along, especially since I came up with the design – I wanted to keep it super simple so hopefully many of you will play along!

Did you look at this inspiring sentiment and say….where in the heck did this came from? Making inspirational cards are always great to have on hand and did you notice…I am still using up DSP….I have a ? for you…
Have you been trying to use up your DSP???

This sentiment “dream BIG” is from the Photopolymer Stamp set called Enjoy the Little Things. (love this name of the stamp set) I’m a HUGE fan of the photopolymer stamps as I adore the ease of being able to see right where you are going to stamp.
This is a stamp set that you have not seen blogged a bunch about…but I invite you to look at it and break it down…there are some keepers in here. I know that many of you love stripes and using that small square stamp would be fun background and then POP a sentiment in front (sounds like I need to do a post on it)

I followed this sketch really, really simple and using up the Bohemian DSP worked perfectly for me today. My mission is to try to use up as much paper as I can before the new catalog comes out….as we all know what will happen…we will want it and guess what? –
I GET IT…AND I’M WITH YOU!!!

When you get to the end of the post and you see the supplies that I used ~ you will see that I used both a punch as well as a circle framelit. To me, these are both “speed tools” and there are times that I like seeing just a “smidge” larger (the effect is great)
The dashes and dots were also the POP factor to jump these sentiment up and off the page. I hope that you can see how using your DSP (even if it is a busy print) just works. I have been trying to inspire you to use up what you have, we all love having a stash of cards ready to go when needed or also making extras is a great gift to give (everyone always appreciates handmade kindness of cards.

A 1/4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry Scraps and then the DSP under it was the perfect accent to finish this card. I know that I do many cards like this and there is a simple reason….
- I like it
- You can get (12) envelopes lined like this) as I cut the paper to 2″ X 6″
Works for me….how about you!?!?

Here you your “scoop picture” – do not forget that I line up all of the products at the very end and all you need to do is a simple click and you are good to go!
I do hope that this card has inspired you to dream BIG…and that is one thing that we can never stop doing…dream…dream…dream – I am a firm believer that we all can achieve what ever we want – start small ~ think big, this is a saying that one of my peeps always told me as I admit, I am very hard on myself so I try to remember his wise words.

Many thanks for stopping in today and I feel very blessed and honored to be a part of the PALS and also to be on the design team. Remember that….little saying above, start small ~ think big…well in a million years I would have never thought that I would be blogging…being a part of a great design team as after all, I just purchased the starter kit to get a great deal and then be done….(I’m so glad I stayed…I love and appreciate my cyber friends) 🙂

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for April 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects that are all about our families. This is a great time of year to think about what to make for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or upcoming graduations. And, family vacations are just around the corner… how would you want to remember those special family moments? We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

I just love this theme today and I am happy and proud to say that our “red caboose” will be graduating from college next month…seeing the last to walk across a stage will be bittersweet for us – she has had a great college experience!
You cannot get any easier (or cuter) than this clean and simple graduation card. Very practical as you can use both the positive and negative to make 2 cards….below you will see what I am talking about!
The stamp set, Bravo is a true keeper! Just look at all of the fun sentiments in this set – there is something for every celebration you would need. The fonts are fun, the sentiments are fun….just one great set and to me the best thing – it is a photopolymer!

I wish that you could see these in person because the camera simply does not give it justice. The size is larger, a 4″ X 6″ card and the “flowers” for the girls and the “stars” for the guys made this a FUN card to make.
Can you see that the additional layer of white I used the simply scored? This is a simple and super fast touch that just “frames” the card to make the focal point POP! I think that you can also see that the different fonts for these cards are suitable for both the “girl version” and the “boy version”

Below you can see the scoring close up! I change it up often but today I chose to do 2 scoring lines on all 4 sides! Have fun with this – one time do just 1…..maybe do 3 on the sides and 1 across the bottom ~ just have fun.

Do you see the LIFT on the numbers? I just adore this touch. I just used fun foam and ran them through the Big Shot like normal. I think that the contrast in the white and black is perfect for this card today.

Flipping back to the masculine version, I chose to adhere this whole thing flat…and I liked the result! This is what is fun about doing what we do…changing things up from card to card keeps things fun and fresh to us – it is all about having fun!

Because I made an odd size card, I made my own envelope! Looking through my stash of products I saw the red envelope papers and it was like a BEAM OF LIGHT that struck me and I adore the result. (wanta know a super secret that will make you smile? ~ this is in the clearance and yep….I stocked up on it as it is perfect for other holidays)
I must admit, I have forgotten about our envelope liner papers…it comes together like a dream!!!

Here you go …you “how and why” picture. I highly recommend this card for a super clean and simple card for the graduate in your life. I was smiling when I completed them and I know that you would like them!
I realize that they simple…but that it what makes me roll. I am a timeless and classic gal that loves to share….now I know that you have a BUNCH OF HOPPING TO DO and I too am excited to see what the other PALS did today!
This is one talented group of stampers and you know what the best thing is…we have FUN! Now be a bunny and hop away!
