A Tuesday treat….

IMG_9161

Why did I call this post a "Tuesday Treat"?….Easy = I think that this is a super cute card and I hope that this is a "treat" to you to see a sweet card made with this new stamp set, Gift from the Garden. I must admit…I was totally on the fence with this stamp set but I broke down and it found its way to my home.

*** I am adding this paragraph early on Tuesday morning*** – Make sure that you read all the way to the end of the post and I will explain the "weekly deals" and more specifically the Bonus Products that Stampin' Up! is doing on the Tuesdays this month.

I had another card planned for you today but you will see that later in the week, I just couldn't let a day go by without sharing this sweet card with you! Also, I had over 30 DOG LOVERS that wanted the scoop on Mary Ann's card….I am grouping you all together for an email blast – you should get it by the end of the day.

I will be doing (at least ) 2 more posts using this stamp set as it is my goal to show you at least 3 different ways to use a specific stamp set so you can see a variety of ways to use it.

Enjoy the parade of pictures and also know that I was not able to list the individual markers as there are many markers that you cannot purchase separately…..I know that it is a huge investment, but I do recommend that you purchase…"BIG DADDY" of markers.

I purchased mine over 5 years ago and I still have each and everyone and they work like they did the day I purchased them….the reason I am bringing this up is that I used the brush tip end of the markers to  color the "tops" of the pots.

IMG_9171

The colors I used were Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Perfect plum. The pots are crumb cake and then I stamped them again and fussy cut them out and POPPED them up with Stampin' Vitamins! After coloring them in…I gave the stamp a big "huff of stampin' love" and presto – a cute image!

Look at the picture of the flower pots….do you see the one in the middle has that leave that drapes over? What I did here is on a scrap of paper, used the mossy meadow marker to color in the leave….stamped it and then cut it out and adhered it with a wee bit of green glue. Well worth the effort as I think it is adorable!

A simple tiny bow with the Bakers Twine added that little special something that added to the sweetness of this card! You have heard me say this many times – Bakers twine is the BEST bang for your buck…..

IMG_9168

To add the fun to the envelope, the Brights Designer Series Stack with the highlight, I just ADORE this bold polka dots….how about you? Don't they just make the card fun!

IMG_9167

You know what today is….the Tuesday deals….please click here to see the scoop this week. Do you have a favorite? Make sure that you also go into the clearance rack….lots of goodies on there!

I have my eye on the product that I think is a great investment – I will blog about it as I think people do not look at it a bunch because of the price but let me tell you…..whenever I make something with the Hamburger Box Die….

Ok….back to the card today…..

I hope that you can see that having a bunch of "white space" makes a clean and simple backdrop that allows the stamp and sentiment POP out and be the focal part. Pleased o not be afraid to fussy cut out simple things like these pots, remember – I am SUPER SIMPLE and if I can do it – YOU CAN@

p.s. – ok, here is the scoop….do you remember that last week the  clearance rack thing was a bummer for us….well on our updates this is what they are going to be doing this month!

On Tuesday we are already conditioned that we get weekly deals….THAT IS GREAT – well in addition to that, they are adding some "Bonus" products that are LIMITED QUANTITIES ……so if you see something in there….DO NOT WAIT – grab them.  Last week I know that there were several that ZOOM – were gone!

I do think that it is great that they are adding NEW product for these weekly deals/bonus products….some of my picks….(to me these are just great staples so why not) – the satin stitched ribbons and the card stock assortment packs….the new cotton stripe ribbon (this make a beautiful "flat knot" and also will be great with holiday fru-fru and packages….

Gotta run to get my order in…….please do not be disappointed as you can see some items have very low quantities for all of us die-hards!

Monday beauty queens….

Good Morning and here is to a great week! It was a fabulous weekend and I have been super busy trying to get the Product Shares (things that were back ordered, ready and out the door) -only to discover that there are other things on back order….Calgon, take me away!

Back-orders are frustrating but the great thing is that Stampin' Up! does do a great job in giving us "heads up" for dates that they will be available….so the GREAT news is that the Lace In Color Ribbon and the Timeless DSP will also be in this week.

YIPPEE SKIPPEE that the Regals and Neutrals DSP Paper Stacks are in and WOWZERS are they just beautiful!

I promise that I will be back in the groove with creating, but I also know that you all enjoy seeing other peoples work – we get inspiration from all over and the more you see…the more you will get ideas and hopefully give it a whirl!

I know that many of you have specific questions on cards that were posted last week, and I will reach out the the "artists" to get your questions answered!

Here you go….please feel free to comment and give them some woot-woot's and lovin'!

These 3 gals are the best….(2) are sisters and Robyn is a dear friend. They have so much talent and they love to reach out and try new things…They have beautiful hearts and are always so inspiring. I admire their passion and their love and friendship they have….(they said that they would adopt me and wow….what an honor)

Now is this AMAZING Watercoloring or what! Julie makes this look so effortless and I adore the purples…her shading and blending of colors are just over the top. When you hold this card, it is so solid  – using watercolor paper does make a difference and this is a great example a super duper watercolored card!

IMG_9054

Here is another spectacular card….do you remember that Roberta did a card several weeks ago ? I reached out to her to see if she could do a tutorial for her incredible shading…and I simply was not able to connect with Roberta (my fault) BUT…..I will be going past where she lives in August so I am hoping to have a great YACK & LEARN session.

She used a white glossy paper for this beautiful scape. The work is just meticulous and I truly do not think that I would ever be able to re-create a work of art like this, but I'm game to try to learn…..remember simple is my middle name!

IMG_8964

Now to go back to the card that I had many requests about the dimensions, the adorable "Dog" card…..and I said that I was going to create it and blog about it….(I will but I simply have been too busy to sit down and try to make it) so if you want Mary Ann's instructions, email me and put in the subject line Dog Card…and I will shoot you what she sent to me!

Hopefully later this week I will be able to do it….but if you do not want to wait – email me! Many thanks for popping in and many thanks for the talent out there but more importantly and special to me….thanks for all of the well wishes. I am going to have THE BEST ANKLE in the world!

Tomorrow will be a super clean, simple, fun card that will make you smile! Until tomorrow!

Step it up Sunday!

Did you get to see some fireworks last night? I did and they were BEAUTIFUL….I was able to zoom all over…I saw them in Washington DC…in New York…..In Boston  – I was just all over the place from the comforts of home… the TV!

I am doing great…and feelin' great. Each day I am feeling stronger and stronger and now I am to stand on crutches and slowly put weight down (just a couple of times a day) and then ZOOM – back to my scooter! I will have to wear that fashionable immobilizer until therapy starts in August as I just cannot flex my ankle.

Ok  – enough about me – let's get to the changes today! I just cannot say enough about this kit…it is just great! For those of you that do not like the word "kit" – don't let that sway you as you are getting a stamp set that is WOW and just think of how many other cards you will make with this practical stamp set.

Please pop back to yesterday's post to see all 20 of the cards that I put together, just as the instructions said and I think that they are great….but today I am going to tease you with (4) of them that I "stepped up"….I have made comments for you! ENJOY!

I will first have the card that I "stepped up" and then the next picture (collage) will show you what it looked like yesterday! (remember, click on the collage to make it bigger)

Well – there you go! Cute…right? In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with the way the kit comes…or the way that I have stepped it up today! They are both great and when you look at the additions, it are very affordable….bakers twine, the envelope liner paper…simple, basic items!

Here are a couple of comments about the kit…

  • There are extra wooden pieces left….(4 solid hearts, 2 open hearts & 4 butterflys)
  • You have plenty of washi tape left – (I actually did my 2nd set of cards with it)
  • Several leaves and a couple of flowers
  • Lots of sequins left.

This is just a great value, I think that you will agree that if you were to purchase this stamp set it would be at least $18.00+ ….just love the sentiments! Just think the stamp set and 20 cards and envelopes for just $35.00!

Do you want the rest of the "stepped up" images….easy, if you purchase this kit from me, I will be happy to send them to you! Hit that CLICK NOW button and get ready for fun!

You can see the extra items that I used in the scrolling store…and recommend the glue dots and the "green glue"…love these 2 items and Bakers Twine….a must have for sure!

Enjoy the day and I hoped that you enjoyed this showcase of this NEW product!

p.s. – For those of you that would like to earn hostess stamp sets and free product, this would be a fabulous opportunity for you to get a Hostess code from me…..send an email out to your friends and have your own Watercolor Wishes fun time!

With everything already being in the kit…it is a great way for you to invite friends and family to have fun and walk away with completed cards!
