I forgot to email you today letting you know who won the Stampin' Vitamins from yesterdays challenge. Many, many thanks to all of you that took the time to have FUN and make a card.

Here's what I made today! The three "colors" that I don't usually is loosely based on your challenge: early espresso, white craft ink (first time I have ever used it), and DSP (I always want to save it!).
Why is it that we all do this with our DSP….that made me laugh as it is so true – we look at it and say….oh look – it is soooo beautiful but what am I going to do with it…..(does this sound familiar)
You know what I am going to say…..USE IT!
Thanks to all that played yesterday and I already have another fun idea for next Monday! You all make me smile….

Hello…hello – it's that time again….time to share with you this month's kit! I was having a "creative block" and thank goodness it broke and I am super happy and proud to offer this kit to you!
I find that the easiest way to sum this kit up is…fun, practical, fresh, classic and super clean with learning some new techniques that I know that you will use over and over again with future cards!
I realize that this stamp set is not as expensive as other offerings that I have had in the past so this month I am going to add (2) more cards….you will get the (4) sample cards and then you will be able to make (2) of each = 8 cards this month plus your super cute thank you from me for you to fill with chocolates! You have heard me blog about this before…when in doubt – go with the sentiments and this is why the minute I saw this new stamp set, I knew that it was going to be a kit set…you are going to LOVE this kit and I am using the super DSP, Back to Black to accent and highlight the fun colors I am using this month.
I have come up with some fun and new techniques for the envelope decorating…that I am sure you will start to see new ways to make your envelopes beautiful and fun!
For those of you that have purchased kits from me before, (1st – thank-you) but I promise that this one will make you happy. They are just so darn practical that the minute you finish each card you will want to send it to a friend right away and then go make more!

Here is to a new week… new month so what about a personal challenge! Last week was so much fun and I hope that you will be able to carve out some time and give this week a try!
What is it all about???? Well, today it is about trying to use (3) colors of card stock that you have not used so far this year. Today I am focusing on 3 that I have not blogged about….they are – Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point and Basic Gray.
I think that we all go in spurts of using a "new favorite color" and true we also use colors that "feel" like the season we are in from what the calendar is telling us but I think we all have certain colors that just get overlooked so how about pulling the out and saying hello to them!
I want you to be able to find some time…grab your stamps and look at you paper and find 3 colors that you have not used in a while. What can you win??? - well first of all – time having fun creating…and then just email me your card and you can be in the running for a pack of Stampin' Vitamins from me along with this card I made!

Do you wonder what the FUN stripe paper is? It is the new freebie of a Sale-A-Bration item that Stampin' Up! is offering for this Month! You will get (2) sheets of each design of paper and all you need to so is place a $50.00 order and you can earn it!
I am able to "hide" the glue dots behind the flower and the banner and I am good to go! You can see my method as to why I placed the flowers where I did.
Vellum is luscious and it is a treat to work with but the tricky part is to conceal your adhesive! I decided to use one of my all time favorites, Flower Shop Stamp set! I adore this and even though I chose to only use (1) of the stamps, it is "keeper" as it has a matching punch….the pansy punch.
I must say…I really like these colors, I just have not used them for a while – maybe it is the time of the year…who knows – but I do think that we all get "set" into a comfort zone and it is fun to push through that!

Here you go….a stepped up version of yesterday's card…click here to see it and then you can see the little changes I did…Will had a great Birthday….I had a great day and had a SUPER surprise as John came home from work around 4:30 (tax season – he works 7 days a week) and said – let's go…we are going to get you out of the house and go to Virginia to see the horses! (He is a a great guy and can use my scissors anytime)
Can you see the differences? Darn, the pictures do not do either of these cards justice but the changes I did were….
- I used the "punched out" space of the DSP and did a mat. (I was able to punch bow ties for both cards with this mat and also extra scraps. (I adore this punch)
- I used the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder on the Sahara Sand
- I "Heat Embossed" the sentiment in clear embossing powder – this is a SUPER effect and one that think we forget about – it always created a great texture and subtle bling!
I think that I am going to submit this to the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge this week…..I think it is in the guidelines of the sketch but I need your help! Should I submit yesterday's card or today's card? Leave me a comment and I'll let you do the gambling for me!
