It happened…again – POWER went out last night! This is getting just too darn funny as this has never (guess you should never say never) but out the door John and I went and to my Dad’s. Good thing that Daisy Mae had a couple days of “piggy rest”…back to duty she goes!
Let’s get to the card for today…well by now you know that I make my cards for a purpose and this card was a “Thank You” to a sweet lady that belongs to the Country Club I work at as she made John and I some soup and the best loaf of Blueberry Bread when we were out of power last week!

This is very straight forward and over the weekend I had a HUGE date with my label maker as I like to put the item #’s on my punches as it makes it easier for me when I am creating a blog post. I labeled the Scalloped Edge Border Punch and thought…”I have not used this is a while” …so out it comes for you today!
Please click here to see the Tuesday Weekly deals…and guess what – this punch is on it! (now that's what I call luck as I had no idea when I made this card…woot-woot!)
- The card base is a regular A-2 Card in Whisper White and the stamp is from the hostess collection and the clear mount is just $9.00! (please email me and ask me how you can earn this for free!)
It is a great basic stamp and I can see many fun and simple cards made with it! I love it's name…"Let Your Hair Down" I think many of these images would be super het embossed!

- The All Abloom DSP is the POP of the card! As you can see in the below photo…it is a must have! My fingers and toes are crossed that Stampin’ Up! is going to have more of these Paper Stacks with the new Holiday Catalog! The width of this is 2”

- Pulling out some Strawberry Slush Scraps…I punched this adorable and simple border! I do not know what I forget about this gem…but every time I use it – I love it! The added “white dots” from the white gel pen gave it a bit of interest!

- I wanted to added a bit of extra femininity so I thought a simple flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack was the perfect choice…(this is another MUST HAVE) this little flower has been punched out soooo many times since the new catalog came out! A simple Brights Candy Dot was the finale!
- Because the print of the paper is so busy, I thought just a fun and classic liner was in store…so easy-peasy…the In Color DSP to the rescue!

That’s it for today! I am sooooo hoping that the power comes back on but we are to have another storm late today! (It’s a good thing that my Dad lives close to my work)…and John will do the “morning” animal duty!
I have had many of you email me if I was going to Convention…my lip is hanging down like a toddler, but I am not. I am sad as I just adore being with the PALS and taking everything in that Stampin’ Up! does. This is a big weekend for me at work and I cannot get off work…(trust me – it’s killin’ me) but I know that the PALS will keep us posted as to what is going on!

Thanks for popping by today and have a super-duper day! I am smiling and being positive that we will be back on with power!
p.s. – I had to share with you this cartoon that was sent my way by Julie H….it is so cute! Daisy had to get a bath yesterday…she found a nice BIG spot of MUD after I dumped the horses water!

Until tomorrow….you all are THE BEST!

How about this super fun and super cute card for Saturday! This is another one that I say…look at the “formula” of this card and then think about all of the different paper you have and stamps! This is one of the “keepers” as I say because you could make simple changes and BAM – a card that looks totally different than this!
The inspiration for this card came from Linda Heller at Stampingschool.com. What I liked about this card was the layout and I could clearly see how I could adapt it for many themes (This will definitely be a Breast Cancer Card changing up the sentiment) I always try to find easy yet fun cards that the volunteers can easily make!
Let’s get to it….

- The base is a piece of Pistachio Pudding at 5 ½” X 4 ¼” but the fun part is the white card is a vertical fold card at 4” X 5 ¼” (this is a fun twist and also a paper saver as the bottom piece is the pop color)
- Stamp your sentiment in the left corner and yes – I did use the stamp-a-ma-jig…why? – I say why not! I laugh at myself as when I first purchased this “thing” because I thought it was going to be the answers to my stampin’ prayers and then I quickly became super frustrated with it and “bagged it”! Does this sound familiar? I then was determined to have straight sentiments and the rest is history. All I can say it practice….practice and then it will be like riding a bike – you’ll never forget how to use it!

- This sentiment is from the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set and the name says it all…there are some GREAT sentiments on this gem!
Here are the key points to making this card work:
- Your piece of 2” X 5 ½” matches you base card – (this case – Pistachio Pudding)
- Take whatever designer series paper you are using and cut (2) at ½” X 5 ¼” and (1) at ¾” X 5 ¼”
- I like to use the “green glue” as you can get some “wiggle” time before it sets up and just place your strips of paper on the base.
- Take the base and position it on the diagonal and then simply take your scissors and trim off the excess…. that’s it!

- I felt like there was too much white space so I did my Susan “dash and dot” around the border of the card as well as a trio of dots around the sentiment! I often get asked if I have a stamp for this….no I just freehand it and again…just DO IT – if you “over think” it – stress will happen and that’s not fun!
- The pop of flower is from the Flower Shop Stamp Set (I was so glad that they kept this set as I use it a bunch) and having the Pansy Punch makes it super easy! A Stampin’ Dimensional on the back to lift it up and a brights candy dot in the center was the perfect finishing touch!

- To the envelope! The liner is from the All Abloom Paper Stack and using the envelope framelits and the Big Shot! This framelit is on sale this week (thank you Stampin’ Up!!!) and if you do not have them…hit that SHOP NOW button and treat yourself to a set! (Last year this is what I bought a bunch of my friends these framelits and made them a bunch of lined envelopes!
Well….thoughts? As I was typing this I thought – wouldn’t this make an adorable baby card and use the new Baby's First Framits and some sweet DSP? Also for Christmas…use festive papers and then use an ornament where I put the flower!
Remember…think out of the box – works every time!
This is why I have been encouraging you to do my Monday challenges…. stretching yourself will teach you a lot about yourself and your style!
I hope that you have some fun Saturday plans – pop back tomorrow as I have an extremely simple yet classic Birthday Card that is fresh and fun!
As always, please email me if you need help and remember to think about taking advantage of the $50.00 kit…it ends on Monday the 30th! A great opportunity to help you with your habit!
Stampin’ hugs to all and until tomorrow!

This is a super new…useful, practical and fun product to our line of winners, it is the Gift Card Enclosure Pack and you get (10) gift card petal cards (with slots for the gift card) for just 5.95…that in itself deserves a WOOT-WOOT!
This new catalog is just wonderful and every time I see a new goodie and "play" with it, I even love it more and more! I have lots of pictures for you today and please do not hesitate to email me if you need further instructions!
I think that they are very self explanatory but you will see at the bottom of this post another "Susan Kit" that will get you in that Stampin' Up Rental Car for just $50.00.

We only have until June 30th to take advantage of the $50.00 kit – you can pick…

- a Paper Pumpkin… FREE in your custom kit
- you will receive 30% off your 1st order and then you do not have to do a darn thing until September 30th!
If you want to return your Rental Car…the garage will be open – it's that easy…no obligation…I'll still be here and I will always be there for you with inspiration!
I would not feel that I am doing my job by not offering this opportunity to you. Email me, I would love to share and answer any questions!
Enough….let's get to these fun pictures! These masks are great, easy to use, easy to clean and create an instant wow factor.

This cotton ribbon is just a dream to work with! The colors are so vibrant, I just could not resist using it in this way! Remember, if you want to be a part of the Ribbon share…I am ordering on Wednesday (tomorrow) so here is your chance to get all of the new ribbon at a fraction of the price if you were going to order them. Click here. Please remember to put in the header of the email RIBBON & PAPER SHARE.

Now is this a cutie-pie or what! I was tickled pink (ha-ha) with it! You know I adore the DSP Stacks and they are my "go to" just about on a daily basis. To me…these stacks are a MUST HAVE for your stash of inventory!
I used them all the time to line envelopes…so darn handy – that's why I put them in my paper share….you can get a 1/4 sheet of each color in every collection to see how you like them!

TIP ALERT: Remember when you are making a belly band…not to make it too tight or it becomes a real pain getting it on and off!!! I simply take my paper and loosly wrap it around to get my "bend" – then I go back and give it a good score line!

I used the #7 Circle Framelit …1st made a template to have for the future (much easier than potentially ruining your DSP)….I just drew a pencil line at the half way point them trimmed it! PRESTO….easy-peasy!

I should have taken a picture on the inside…not only does the gift card fit in there perfect – you have room to write a message and even "jazz up" the inside if you wanted!

I have been having fun making up these "Rental Cars" for you…if you liked today's post, I figured up a great grouping of products that you could pick…just a hair under $55.00 – perfect!
I do hope that you consider doing something fun for yourself. Maybe it's just that you and a friend enjoy the products…I say GREAT…maybe you just want to get that big 30% off and be done…I say GREAT!
I have been in your shoes before…I probably had everything in the catalog and never was approached to take a test drive…being in direct sales before, I knew that there are always great opportunities…that's when I found Mary FIsh and I knew that it was the right fit! (go figure – I live in Maryland and Mary lives in Arizona…it truly does not make a difference)
I was just like Mary…going to get the big 30% and stock up on the basics (and more) and be done…well – that did not happen but the reason that it did not was because I decided I did not want to turn my rental car in. Being a part of the PAL community is great and YOU will have all of the same perks and inspiration that I get!
Click here if you are ready to do something for you! Email me if I can be of help…but it would be a joy to have you in the PALS fun community!

Have a GREAT day and please pop back tomorrow….you will love it and you will say really????
Thanks for your time….I appreciate it and f you want any of the products that I showcased today…click and presto – to my store it goes!
Until tomorrow!

I hope that you have has fun as I have had with today's post….I know it's different but it is important! We all know that when we have the "right tools" – life is easier….think about your kitchen….when you are in order...it works….think about doing laundry….when you have the right cleaners….it works!
This is the same about making projects….I hope that this has made you think and has also inspired you to make sure you have the tools in order!

It's Thursday and it is Team #1 turn to take their creativity to the max and try this great sketch from the PALS very own incredible designer, Margaret Moody. I have been doing a sketch challenges / encouragement on Mondays and I hope that you will try this sketch today!
Please email me if you need help uploading it to the PPA Website! There are so many of you that do such amamzing work and I am proud of you that you love the Make in Mine Mondays…so how about playing with this challenge.

Let's go…I must say, I adore the color scheme that I used. The yellow is So Saffron and I was going to mat it on white as I figured that I would use a white envelope….but once I was pulling it together, I did not like it and decided to stick with the So Saffron and make my own envelope!

- The base is a regular A-2 card size and then I cut another piece a smidge smaller and then scored it every 1/4" to give the base some texture! When doing a technique like this, I prefer the Simply Scored Tool over the Stampin' Trimmer….why? I just think you get a deeper impression in the paper…just a personal preference for me.

These gems of paper stacks might be smaller…but WOWZERS – they carry a BIG punch! The colors and patterens are just wonderful and the best thing is that they are a perfect size for lining envelopes, covering the front of an A-2 card, using punches and framelits…endless options and the price is just $6.95!

You can see by the above picture that I simply cut a strip of the amazing paper and vertically placed it on the card before doing the stamping and banner effect! Are you wondering where this stamp came from…it is from the new stamp set, Fabulous Four and I "masked the lower sentiment" before I stamped the word "celebrate"!

The simple touch of the flower from the Itty Bity Accents Punch Pack was the perfect finale! The envelope was lined with the same paper and wouldn't you like to receive this card! Remember, it's super easy to make your own envelopes with the envelope punch board! (who ever created this I would bake a batch of cookies for to say thank-you!!!)

I had a little piece of this DSP left over and thought, what the heck – let's make the mailman smile! I adhered this to the front of the envelope and I am asked many times about if it gets torn in the mail….nope! – I do ask the post master to hand stamp it so it does not go thru the machine….works like a charm every time!

So how about playing along with the Pals this week!?!?! Please go to the website and see all of the inspiration there is with the teams take on the sketch! Again, I am super proud of those that have been trying the Monday challenges and I know YOU can do this one….very straight forward!
Please email me and I will be happy to help you upload your master-piece! I have a busy day ahead but I want to thank you for all of the great email and comments about my dear Daisy-Mae….she was only going to the vets for a yearly check-up….now worries – she a good and healthy piggie! (I told her that she had fans)
When John and I got home from work and check the answering machine…John's face was priceless as the Vet called to make sure that Daisey was doing well after her vaccinations!!!! PRICELESS!!!
Have a fabulous day and until tomorrow!
