We are just weeks away from the unveiling of the new catalog and I wanted to share with you a sneak peak of a product that I am so incredibly passionate about – The Designer Series Paper Stacks. The new patterns are on the left in Black and the ones that are going to be retired are on the right in Crushed Curry.
I am always a true blue lover of the Designer Series Paper Stacks. WHY???? So darn easy – they take the guess work out of looking for the perfect DSP or fun accent to go with any project you are making. I can remember that when I was a customer I was always intrigued by them but also reluctant to purchase them as I thought that they were expensive.

I truly think that people do not realize that they come in every color collection that we offer so right there, you can never go wrong with finding the perfect and suitable fit! The means that there are the fabulous stacks in the In Colors, Brights, Subtles, Regals and Neutrals = 6 collections in total!
What do I love about the new offerings?
- Adore the polka dots being larger.
- The diagonal stripe is an instant WOW!
- The flower print is oh so sweet….
- The "script words" are fun and fresh!
Here is a close up of the script one. I adore the sentiments and think that is a great addition for us!

Now to give you a comparison of the offerings we have now….I can honestly say that I found great use from then but I always leaned towards the polka dots and the chevron print…the other (2) I found more challenging to work with!

I invite you to see the wide spectrum of how you can use these handy paper stacks for your on going projects! You can order the Neutrals one today with a pre-order in a started kit! Please feel free to email me and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have!
Please remember that today is the last day for you to take advantage of the weekly deals this week! My pick – the 2" circle punch!
Thanks for your time and until tomorrow!
p.s. – Will called me yesterday to wish me Happy Mothers Day and his team did great. He was so happy – they finished 32nd out of 508 teams. I was amazed that the race was that big, I cannot imagine the whole thing – he was thrilled and looks forward to doing another int he future.

Good Morning and I want to give a HUGE shout out to all of the Mom's out there….Happy Mothers Day! I hope that you have a wonderful day doing whatever makes you happy and give yourself a big WOOT-WOOT for having one of the hardest but most rewarding jobs…being a Mom! I would not trade it for the world for anything!
Here you go…here is a "stepped up version" and the fun thing about this card is the main difference is "POP"…the way that had the sentiment POP!

Please read and feel free to click on the image to make it bigger so it is easier to read. I made my own "springs" to POP up the sentiment…it was super easy and fun, just strips of paper scored at 1/2" and then adhered with glue dots.

Both cards are fun but I really like the way the sentiment POPS on todays card. I also reversed the colors of the card stock and today I heat embossed the sentiment with white – this ALWAYS makes it fun! I also lightly sponged the edges to soften the stark white on the layering circle.

Ready for the fun side view of the sentiment! It is super fun in person and I hope that you give it a try as the effect is fabulous – all you do is make equal scored lines…fold them up like an accordion…add some glue dots…and SUPER POP….right off of the base, no stampin' dimensionals today!

This really is fun and super easy as you are the one that decides how many folds to make it to get the desired effect that you are going for! The other great thing about this is that when you put it int he envelope, it is super flat.

I also decided to make the envelope today in soft suede, I figured – why not??? We have a white gel pen that I can write the address on…again, have fun switching up things and try to break out of the norm that we sometimes get into!

I did hear from Will (my oldest peep) and he did complete his part of the run! He ran at 3 different times….4 p.m. – 9 p.m. and then 2 a.m. – When I asked him if it was fun, he said "Of course but it was a bit chilly in the night"….the sense of adventure he has!
The sentiment for the inside, still from the Bravo stamp set is PERFECT for him! I think that these 3 words summed it up….way to go! Remember, having sentiment stamp sets as a quick "go to" is key in making cards in a jif! When in doubt – go for the sentiment stamp sets….you can always jazz them up with paper!

That's it! A fun card that I know will make Will smile when he receives it this week along with some brownies! As healthy and fit as he is, he still adores his Mom's brownies and I am sure it will bring a smile to his face!
Enjoy your day…do everything and nothing all at the same time! We have out of town guests from the UK staying with us and we are going to take a drive thru the beautiful Virginia countryside…stopping at some local vineyards…and then going to the barn to show them Stanley (Hannah's horse that is in Virginia)….a perfect day!
Thanks for popping in and I hope that this 2 day post has encouraged you to make a different shaped card and to make your own set of "springs" to POP an image off the card base!
by Susan Itell | May 9, 2015 | Masculine, Show and Tell Saturday |

Does a card need to be a rectangle??? Does a card need to be a square??? Nope…today we are going in circles! This card inspiration is for my oldest peep as he is running a crazy relay marathon this weekend.
I had never heard of such a thing. You can click here to read more about it – (it really is fascinating) and he will be running from Boson to Providence Town in Cape Cod (a total of 200 miles) and Will will be running (3) different times! Obviously they are working as a team but the concept is really fun!

Today is one version…and please pop back tomorrow to see the "stepped up" version. I thought since he was doing something so different…I would make him a different card! The best thing is that we have the envelope punch board so making an envelope is a cinch!
When you go to cut this base, just make sure that you leave the framelit off the cutting area on the Big Shot so you have this part as the hinge!

The sentiment was a super simple stamp and the the Big Shot did all of the work. Isn't it great to get a perfect circle each and every time! Stampin' dimensionals are the key accessory to make the card pop!

The subtle DSP from the Adventure Bound DSP Stack, the is THE BEST Masculine Paper Stack…if you are running low on it, I would purchase another back before it leaves as it is a wonderful paper for making masculine cards.

This is a fun and quick card to whip up! The Bravo Stamp Set is a stellar one for WOOT-WOOT cards! It has many wonderful sentiments that are perfect to congratulate someone! (See the scrolling images below)
I did stamp a fun sentiment inside, tomorrow I will share with you the inside. Please do not forget to have fun with making cards in all different shapes. They create an instant smile and you will be smiling too!
Please feel free to email me and I hope to see you tomorrow! Enjoy your day…

Happy Thursday to all and today is another PPA Challenge. This week is my favorite as it is a color challenge. Here is the palette that you can work with and have fun! I had no idea where I was going to go with this but I looked at my DSP Swatches to be my guide!

Please do not be afraid of DSP…as DSP is your friend…and also helps you develop a style! The paper that my inspiration came from is Lullaby Designer Series Paper. I often look at DSP to guide me with how I want a card to "come together"

Today's card is a good old A-2 card but I cut 1" off the bottom to change it up a bit. I forget about doing this but I knew that this sentiment would be perfect to stamp across the bottom! The Fabulous Four Stamp Set is a keeper and it worked perfectly with today's card.

The other star of the day is the Bouquet Bigz L Die…I know that these are a bit $$$ but when you think if how you can use them over and over again…they are keepers!
I can honestly say that there are very few Dies that are retired that I do not keep. WHY??? Because I find that "dies" always have a little special touch to them that can really step up a card. This die was introduced in the Occasions catalog.

To add the fun and finale to the envelope – easy-peasy (thanks to our DSP)…a quick covering of the back flap works every time!

I hope that you have fun playing with these colors…and I hope that you will submit you work of art to the Pals Paper Art Challenge, (If you need help – please email me) and I will be happy to help!
Please come back tomorrow…we have LOTS to talk about the NEW In Colors! My order is coming today and I am super excited to play!
Exciting times with Stampin' Up….I am doing the Happy Dance!
