10 Cards with Stamping….

IMG_3941

Good Morning! Today is still another twist on how you can use the Project Life, Hello December Cards! Plese click here to see yesterdays post in case you missed it as yesterday I simply used the cards that were already colorfully printed and did some simple mattings to make cards….

Today…..too darn cute and oh, so practical! These are not only fun to make…they go together super fast and easy and they make a perfect gift!  I have made a simle box to hold them and I'll show you how to make that as well!Let'e go!

IMG_3936

The Profect Life cards are 3" X 4" and than I just trimmed them down to a 2 3/4" square! The design that I have used on these cards today have multiples of the same in the Card Collection Kit….so ultimately you could make several of these for gifts!

Wouldn't they make a perfect Hostess Gift for the Holidays!

IMG_3943

All I did was cut 3" X 6" strips to make a 3" X 3" card….this is a great example as why having White 12 X 12 paper on hand…you could get (8) cards out of one sheet of paper! Stampin' Up! has the adorable square envelopes…so easy! (remember, you can click the pictures at the end of the post or simply hit that Shop Now button and go to town!)

Below is the stamp set, Demeber Wonder that I have used to create all of these gems! This is in the Holiday Suppliment and a set not to be missed! Remember, the items in this suppliment are "while supplies last" so please do not delay in order as I would not want you to be disappointed!

You can see how different and festive they all are and how easy! Again, use the stamps that suits you…and also the color – just have fun creating….no rules!

IMG_3944

Now let's get to the box…again, super easy and I hope that you enjoy making 3-D projects as much as I do. I think that the main reason I love it so much is for the fact that I feel like I really….really created a masterpiece! There are so many things that we can make out of paper!

Here is a side view of the box….it is super deep and it did comfortably hold all 10 cards and envelopes….I actually think that you could get 15 in there……but I put (2) squares of Chocolate on top of the cards for a sweet treat!

IMG_3938

Here is the "low down" on how to make the box…..please email me if you have any questions! Also, I highly recommend using the Stampin Trimmer as it make it super easy for exact cuts and I truthfully perfer using the Simply Scoring to make 3-D projects….I think it gives a deeper impression!

  • The bottom of box – 7 3/8 X 7 3//8" and then scored at 2" all the way around….fold in score lines and cut the edges as shown below and add sticky strip.

IMG_3928

  • For the lid….I used the Santa & Company DSP and the piece is a 6 1/2"  X 6 1/2" and scored at 1 1/2" on all sides and put together as the bottom was. (make sure you do not score too hard with the DSP…it is thinner than our card stock)

IMG_3932

So quick and easy to put together! I am sure that you have many different DSP's that you could use or it also would be cute to have a "belly band" around the box instead of the ribbon but I love the look of the ribbon with a simple knot!

IMG_3934Now here is another thing that I was doing the "happy" dance with! Well….you know me and liners! I was able to make (2) liners from (1) Project Life Card……look below and you can see how I was able to sneak it in…..It just makes me smile when things like this happen!

IMG_3948

That's it my cyber friends! Isn't this just too darn cute! I was very happy with being able to use a product in a totally different way! As you can see, I am a believer and you can also see that getting (2) of these would be super fun to make with a friend!

I love it when there are "no rules….no guideline – just you imagination!" Please click here to shop away…Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me……until tomorrow!

8 Cards…no stamping!

IMG_3926

Well…did the title make you scratch your head? That's right…today you will see 8 cards that I made and I did not use 1 single stamp! I told you yesterday that I had something that I was excited to share with you. Today is part #1 with no stamping….but tomorrow is part #2 where I am going to do something totally different and I think that you will like it!

IMG_3922

I know that we all have different views and opinions of products and I admit…I was not sure about the whole "Project Life" thing as I still have not dived into it but I will say that HANDS DOWN there are some real keeper of products and this post will show you just that! You can click here to see the offerings of Project Life!

Today's Post is all about this product called Hello December Project Life Card Collection and it is in the Holiday Supplement. This is a WONDERFUL product and I highly reccomend that you get one….actualy 2 as they not only make a great gift…but this would also be great to give as a gift to a friend and you can stamp and create together!

I whipped up these super clean and simple cards in no time using whatever I had! I mixed up liners for the envelopes…matted some of the sentiments….added a bold piece of ribbon….I just had fun and did not worry about a "master plan"…it just happened!

In total you will get 71 cards to use as a traditional Project Life project or do something different like I did here – make cute cards! Tomorrow you are going to smile with the 2nd phase!

All of these cards just cost $9.95!

Woot-woot…..just use what you have and then magic will happen in no time…it's really fun!

Enjoy the parade of pictures….which card do you like best? Do you think that this is something that you would enjoy making? I was super happy and surprised that I enjoyed this product as much as I have!

Thanks for your time and I hope that this post gave you a new idea of how to use Project Life in a different way! I think all of these cards are super cute and wow….were they FAST to make!

Until tomorrow!

Clean…Classic….DONE!

IMG_3771

Good Morning! Before we get to today's post (and it is going to be super short with lots of pictures) there are 2 things that I want to say…

  1. Many thanks for alll of the great comments, feedback, postive energy and sheer talent that was put into the Fall/Halloween Swap! HATS OFF to all!
  2. Today I was going to share with you another post but I was having so much fun creating it that I did not realize that it was dark and I knew that my pictures would not be the best so please POP back in tomorrow as I think I might change the way you think of a product!

IMG_3776

I always try to keep a couple of spare posts for you just in case life gets in the way and this is one that I know that you are going to adore as it is so darn tootin' simple!

IMG_3780

You can see how a simple embossing folder and some simple circles can make a simple card fun! I still do not get the whole concept of hash tags but I must say I love this stamp set for the focal stamps! Clean, simple and fun!

134240G

These coordinate with the 2" circle punch and also using the circle framelits made it fun to POP up the embossed piece with Stampin' Dimensionals! Please do not skimp on them….we do not want "saggy centers"!!!

IMG_3784

To add interest I popped out some simple flowers and used glue dots to frame the outer edge! Carrying on the theme to the envelope….I added a piece of DSP from the Flower Pot collection!

IMG_3781

Well…thoughts? This is my kind of card and it is a 10 in my eyes as it will never go out of style….a couple of changes in embossing folders or paper if you wish……you will have a whole new card! This would be stunning with a deep color of card stock like Lost Laggoon.

IMG_3774

Have you all looked through the Holiday Supplement Catalog….I think that you will find the products fun and festive and the pictures of samples are just fantastic!

Tomorrow I hope that you are seeing a different view of a product…I have had so much fun making it work for "me" with how I like to craft! There are always many ways to make things work!

Thank you for popping in and remeber…TUESDAY DEALS…..woot-woot… click here to see the offerings this week! Remember, they are only good for a week.

Fall Card Swap #3…wow!

Today is the wrap up of the Fall Card Swap and I think that we all can say….WOW – what a great group of Fall/Halloween Cards! Many thanks for participating in the swap and YES, I will do another one as it truly brings me joy to share your work.

Darn, wouldn't it be so much fun it we all could get together and have one big weekend of fun making cards…swapping recipes….staying up to wee hours getting to know each other…sounds like a dream weekend to me! I just get so excited to see what you all come up with and hosting these swaps is equally as fun for me!

Let's get going and trust me….

there are sooooo many cards that I am super excited to CASE!

I want you know that CASEing cards is just fine – I feel like many of you feel like you do not come up with "orginals" (in your own mind and are hard on yourself)…please don't beat yourself up as this is what we are all here for…to do what we like and what makes us feel good!

I ask you….do you make Chocolate Chip Cookies?

I am sure that you said yes…the reason I ask this is just think about how many times we make something that someone else does (like the cookie example)…we do this and we do not feel bad…the same should be with looking at card that you see and then taking components of it to make it yours! As the saying goes…

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"

Let's get this parade going….enjoy!
