Happy 16th Birthday Ariane!

IMG_2917

This
is a special Birthday Card for a wonderful young lady that is celebrating her
“Sweet 16”!

Happy Birthday Ariane!!!

Ariane’s
Mom is a customer of mine and such an “over the top” talented stamper… I
hope they are having the time of their lives as they have “captured their
daughter and her best friend
” for a weekend getaway! She is going to be so surprised and I can hardly wait to hear all about the fun they had this weekend!

Ariane’s
favorite Stampin’ Up! Color is Wisteria Wonder and this is not your typical
“Susan Card”
but I will say it was fun and it was easy!

I
have several holiday Open Houses coming up and after making this today – you
betcha that I am going to make more cards similar to this with different color schemes, different themes etc….

I
have had these products for some time but I honestly have not used them a bunch
as remember…. – I am “Simple Susan” and I must say…I have
had 2 days of “not my traditional style” but I wanted to make this a
special card for a special milestone of turning 16!

Think
about this…do you remember turning 16?!?!

I
have a visual image and I am cringing thinking about it…but at the same time I am giggling about it!

The
pictures are speaking for themselves with this great card but I will say the
HUGE
help was from this video…. please watch it as it will be a huge help! Karen Burniston designed this for Stampin' Up!

IMG_2911When I sat down to do this card I googled Karen Burniston and found lots of great tutorials and ideas!

I feel so lucky that with technology we can learn, try, create….basically go to a class and become stronger paper crafters!

I
am so proud that Stampin’ Up! is so “on trend”

with what is out there on the
marketplace!

I
will say, when time allows, I plan to come up with some BINGO –BANGO ideas
for the holidays….using gift cards with
the Pop ‘n Cuts so I am going to dangle a “carrot to you"…Email
me
if you want a special card idea …

For those that email me, I will send you a great idea – for the upcoming
holidays! Just put in the subject line…I want something special….and I will send you a special inspiration for you to create!

Today I am going to let the video that I have showcased guide you…and then with my own personal touches..inspire you!

You will find all of the Pop 'n Cut components on page 188 of the annual Catalog. I realize that they are an investment to purchase but after you play with them and see all of the endless possibilities there are to do with them…you will be smiling!

IMG_2920

For today's card I used the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts and the Dress Form Pop 'n Cuts! It is sooooo nifty that this cuts the shape (a regular A-2 card size) and scores…cuts the slits to close the card….BAM!!!

Now with Dress Form…(it is on sale right now for just $16.46 – only until Tuesday) look the detail and versatility of this as we have the Dress Up Framelits and they have been a huge hit and timesaver….who wants to fussy cut a dress out!!!

The base "Happy 16" I thought turned out very cute! I know you like measurements so here you go!

IMG_2913

  • The very vanilla base is 3 1/8" X 3 7/8"
  • The Wisteria Wonder is 3" X 3 3/4"
  • The Very Vanilla that I stamped on is 3 X 3/12" and I used the "happy from the Happy Day Stamp Set and I masked the day before I stampd! I also used the scalloped trim border punch for a feminine touch! ( I forget about this but the wow factor is really there!!!!)

  • The "16" really is fun and you will be seeing these numbers and this stamp set a bunch coming up with ideas I have for December! It is from the Morning Post Numbers Stamp Set and it is on page 36 in the Holiday Catalog!

IMG_2914

  • This beautiful card folds right into a regular envelope! I say WOOT-WOOT! A simple lining to match the dress was the finale that was "the icing on the cake"

I hope that this has been a fun post for you and I hope that I have inspired you! Please do not forget to email me and put in the Subject Line "I want something special" and once I create this special something, I will send you a picture and also the tutorial on how to make it!

I am sure that many of you are thinking that purchasing these products would be such a big investment…well, you're right – it is an investment but at the same time you could become a demonstrator yourself and be able to get 30% off of your 1st order…a simple click here and you can get started today!

I have several "silent demonstrators" and they became demonstrators for this very reason, to get products at a discount! Stampin' Up! allows YOU to do whatever you want YOUR way…I would love for YOU to be on my team!

You all know that I adore what I do, I thank you for popping by and I would appreciate you to share my blog with family and friends…as my Mom always said, "word of mouth is the best form of advertisement"

It has not even been a year since I started to blog, and I am WOWED by the responses and people that I have touched and who have also touched me right back! Thank you…

Turning 16 is a special milestone! I hope that you can take a moment today and remember those great years! Ariane is a super sweet girl and I say….Happy Birthday to you!!!

Until tomorrow!

Thanksgiving Table Treats!

IMG_2897

I must say…I am pretty darn proud of myself that I am on top of (at least a portion) of Thanksgiving Day! Here are some goodies that I will have at my place setting!

Before you look at this and say…

"NO WAY – IT LOOKS TOO HARD"

Please read through this post and hopefully it will make sense to you! I will try my best to give you great tips but please do not hesitate to email me with any questions! I have made many of these not only for my family but I have made some for customers!

I
have made “boxes” before that hold the wonder “Hershey’s Nuggets” but I was
intrigued by fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Connie Stewart!I had the pleasure to meet Connie at Leadersdhip last year and I loved her energy and positive spirit!

Connie
just uploaded a video and I follow many aspects of her video but I will say I
switched something’s up and also did not make it so elaborated – and I think
it’s adorable!

In
the Holiday catalog (page 18) there is a product called Thankful Tablescape
Simply Created Kit
…and it contains enough goodies to decorated for 10 guests!

I
have pulled it out and have had so much fun trying to maximize all that I can
get out of it! Today’s treat showcases some odds and ends that are “pretty my
table together”

I
will post another day other things that I have used with this kit and I will
say – it is fun and it is very versatile ! Please hit the shop now button as if
you order it over the weekend, you will get it in ample time to create some
great projects!

IMG_2903

We
have lots to cover so let’s get to it! Remember – f you want…,watch Connie’s Video…but you
will see that I have everything pretty well measured for you!

  • The color of the box is Chocolate Chip and it is 5 ¼” X 8 ½” (WOOT-WOOT
    – you can make (2) boxes out of a sheet of paper!
  • Using the Simply Scored (not sure but for this I find it easier to use
than the Stampin’ Trimmer…just personal preference) Start with the long side (8
½”) and score at ¾” on both ends. (Do one side – rotate around…do the other)

  • Turn it to the short side (5 ¼”) and score at ¾” and 2 ¼” on both ends
(just score and flip the paper)
  • Use a bone folder (to me a must when making 3-D projects) to give it a
    crisp line!

IMG_2905

  • Cut up as shown in the picture…on the score lines…it is easier to “cut
    in”
on the parts that you put the sticky tape – just easier to put the box
together and make the edges look perfect! See picture! TIP:Don't stress about cutting in on the square pieces…just say yo yourself…cut from the inside  – straight up to the edge – remember, this is optional but it does help when making boxes!
  • Before you start to peel off the tape and assemble, take the 1” circle
punch and punch a half circle on the edge of the box! (this is not necessary
but it will make it easier for you to open and shut the box!

IMG_2906

  • Assemble the front part of the box first (where the ½ punched circle
is) and then do the back part of the box!
  • DONE!!! Now to add a bit of interest! I used some of the birch paper
ribbon ( Remember, this is in the kit and it is SUPER FUN!!!) cut at 1” X 10”. You could easily use designer series paper!
  • I score this at ¾”, 1 ½’ – then turned it around and scored it at 5/8”
and 1 3/8” (don’t ask me why – it just worked out this way!)
  • I did put adhesive down the birch ribbon strip…it has a different texture and I think if you used a DSP you might not have to do this!

IMG_2908

  • Working at the inner edge of the box….I started and simply guided the paper down the top of the box!
  • Let's get decorating! I used the leaf that was in the kit and I also used my computer to print my family members names on a piece of Naturals Whites Paper ( it has a soft texture to it) and then using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die to cut the shape out! I also used some scraps of Chocolate Chip to make the acorn! THIS DIE IS ON SALE RIGHT NOW…Woot-woot!!!!
  • When I showed John my 1st one, he thought the leaf needed to be blended with some color (Men -why did I ask for an opinion!!!) so I did quickly sponge lightly with crushed curry and then went over it with soft suede to give it some color! (again, not necessary in my opinion!)

IMG_2902

  • Do you remember I said that I have never used the Brads for the Candy Dots! Well, there is always a first and this is it! I pierced the grouping and then pushed a brad through…added a Regals Candy Dot and BAM!

IMG_2901

I know we all know what Hershey Nuggets look like, but here is the inside of the box! I wrapped the chocolates with a 1" X 3" piece of birch ribbon and simple place a little piece of scotch tape! BINGOBANGO!!!

IMG_2900

I hope that this has inspired you to make some…they truly go fast and once you "get it" you "get it"!!! I am an email away, and I will be happy to call you and walk you through this if you would like!

My goal is to get you to R E A C H out of your comfort zone and to try something different! I know that you will be so proud of yourself!I realize that this might seem to be a lot to do for your table, but it is a special time of the year and there is nothing more beautiful than seeing a beautiful table ready to have your loved ones sit, talk, remember great memories…..

Please let me know what you think! This is such a great time of the year and I must say…

I AM THANKFUL FOR YOU!!!

Have a great day and until tomorrow!

“Thinking of you” with “Wonderfall”

IMG_2889

As promised here are some "Fall" like cards and I hope you are smiling as this is a clean, easy, crisp and fun card! This is a great example of "less is best" and also "easy is great"!

The color of the base is Very Vanilla (I thought it looked like white in the picture) and I cut it to the "note card" size – a 3 1/2" X 5" card!

I adore this size as it is the “perfect” size to pop a quick note in the mail and truth be told…I wish that Stampin’ Up! would come out with Very Vanilla Envelopes in this size!

Confessions of an honest stamper…this leaf stamp comes from the Wonderfall Stamp Set and it’s a keeper for 2 reasons!

  1. It’s a beautiful stamp set…fun and fresh….and
  2. It comes with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die that will make you look like a pro…AND…it is on SALE so a BIG WOOT-WOOT!!!

BUT…If you follow my blog you read that I had to take everything out of my work area and I can hardly wait for the weekend to come to put it back together – I could not find the die so I needed to “fussy cut” the leafs…which was easy peasy!

The colors I used today were Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, and Chocolate Chip! Fresh and fun!

Cutting the Very Vanilla piece ¼” smaller than the base…I ran it through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot Embossing Folder to pull out the polka dots from the leafs!

Matting it with a corner rounded piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock, (and YES – I saved paper and cut some shapes from the inside)…made the card come to life!

I did pop the leaves and sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals as it is the perfect element to make it go WOW!

IMG_2891

Let’s get to the sentiment before I forget…it is from the Embellished Events Stamp Set…simple!

TIP ALERT: I find (and again it is a personal preference) when just doing a simple sentiment like this, I use the “brush end” of my marker rather than using the stamp pad – why? = I think when you have a super skinny sentiment like this you are more likely to get too much ink and “wobble” as you stamp!

Naturally the envelope came to life with the Envelope Punch Board and then the liner was from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack and is the perfect finale!

IMG_2893

I hope that this card brings a smile to your face and you can think of someone to send a simple card like this to just letting them know that you are thinking of them!

You can click my Shop Button and have all of these goodies shipped to your door!

IMG_2888

I thank you for popping by and I thank you for allowing me to help you with your projects! I know that there are soooo many incredible Demonstrators out there and I appreciate you spending time with me!

Tomorrow is a 3-D…please come back! It will be a Fall keeper!!!

Until tomorrow!

http://stampinpretty.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f95df928834019b00a003c3970d-pi

Confession
time…when I saw the colors for today’s challenge, I instantly thought of the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper and I know that these 3 colors coordinate
with this paper pack!

I
was actually going to use the one with all of the numbers on it as I knew that
would be super easy but then I thought – go ahead and do something else!

My
“something else” turned into being a very CAS card! I love the odd size 3 ½” X
6 ½” and knowing that I can use my Envelope Punch Board to make my own custom
envelope…I was good to go! (I actually did use a piece of this paper collection
for the liner!!!)

IMG_2884

I
am “doubling up” with this card as the concept I used for my Breast Cancer
Cards last night…I make a couple of “tweaks” to have it fit into a regular A-2
card…but they loved it!

Here
you go….please CASE away and have fun! This is a super fun layout that would
work for sooooo many different occasions! Change up the colors…change up the
sentiments…and PRESTO! – you have a beauty!

IMG_2883

The
Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set was the simple focal point to the card! I decided
to use the same hexagon for all 3…and then a quick punch using the Hexagon
Punch
– done! I popped them with a Stampin’ Dimensional and then popped out a Bracket Label Punch in the coordinating colors and DONE!

Six-Sided Sampler

I
found the center of the front of the card…drew a faint pencil line and then
“eye-balled” it to see how far up I needed to go to have my sentiment on a
perfect place!

I
used the stamp-a-ma-jig as it is my life saver/time saver tool for perfect
placement and the sentiment came from the Express Yourself Stamp Set. You’ve
heard me say this before…but this is a keeper set (I used it earlier this week)
and it is a hostess stamp set for only $11.00! Look at all of these incredible
sentiments!

Please
email me
and let’s work together for you to earn this stamp set! It really is
super easy and together we can figure out how you would like to have a Stamp
Club…a cyber party…we have options – let’s chat!

It
really does not get much easier than this! The last thing I did was make the
envelope! Easy with the Envelope Punch Board and I decided to line the outer
flap of the envelope as I thought this paper was so elegant!

IMG_2882

You
can see that I cut a straight edge for the flap of the envelope after I made it…totally
a personal preference but I like the classic look it gives!

Like I said before, I truly hope that you will give it a whirl and
create a project with these 3 colors! If you want inspiration galore…make sure
that you check back at the Pals Paper Art Website!!! Lot’s of talent out there!

I am going to try to "Step Up" the Thanksgiving ideas for you….yikes – we only have 3 weeks from today so I will try to do a bunch of fun, festive and practical cards and projects for you over the weekend so you will still have time to order the supplies you need to make them!

Remember, a simple click of that SHOP NOW BUTTON will be your friend as your products will come directly to YOU!

Advice time…take a break and sit down and write all of your goals you want to accomplish this Holiday Season!

YOU will be a lot happier…YOUR FAMILY will be a lot happier….There is no need to stress – just make a plan and set realistic goals & time tables and it can happen and the best thing is…I will be with you every step of the way!

Until tomorrrow!

“Christmas Collectibles” in a Joyful Way!

IMG_2878
Let the countdown begin! 7 weeks and counting (but who's counting)…I think we have some really great Holiday Stamp Sets this year! To me, they are very clean and simple…just like I like them!

The Christmas Collectibles Stamp Set is a keeper as it has great ornaments and the best thing…we have a punch, the Christmas Ornament Punch to make this a snap….no "fussy cutting" today!

The other BINGO-BANGO thing is…this comes in a bundle – what does that mean to you? Something that will make you smile…and instant 15% off when you purchase them together and guess what….if you are a Demonstrator, you'll get another 30% or 20% off…I say WOOT-WOOT!!!!

This is a "Susan" card for many reasons! I love the odd size, I love the simplicity, I love the minimal colors used…I love just everything!

IMG_2877
Here is the scoop and I know that you like it when I give you the exact measurements! Here you go….please try this card and please send me your version! I love seeing your work!

  • The card size 3 ½” X 7” in Whisper White
  • The Old Olive is 3” X 6 ½”
  • The next white base is 2 ¾” X 6 1/4”
  • The Sentiment Stamp Set is from the Joy to the World Stamp Set and I
used the brush tip of the markers in Crumb Cake and Old Olive….gave them a “huff
    of Stampin’ love”
and PRESTO – a perfect image! This is an "A List" Stamp Set to have for the holidays!

  • The Ornaments are in Old Olive and a TIP ALERT: When you have a stamp
that has a flat surface like this that needs great ink coverage, make sure you
    do 2 things!

1.  Make sure that your ink pads
are well inked…this is soooo important and will make your projects always look
so professional!

2.  Take the sanding block and
give the stamp a good scruffin’ – this really helps let the ink soak in to give
you great coverage each and every time!

IMG_2875

I think one of the things I like best about this card is the simplicity of it! When you break it down, this would be a super easy card to make many of….lots of simple stamps…cutting paper….and BAM – done! I can see the smiles!!!

IMG_2876
With the hour glass turned with the holiday's fast approaching….and if you are going to want to make some projects for the holiday – why wouldn't you consider being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator? There is no obligation to stay….you can do it "your way" and this is a great way to get products at cost!

I thank you for your support, and please share my blog with your family and friends as the growth and friendships I have made during this fun journey is simply the best! I can hardly wait to go to Leadership in January to see many of the cyber Demonstrators I have had the privledge to get to know!

Tomorrow is the Pals Paper Art Challenge and I hope you will consider playing along….it is open to ANYONE and that means YOU!

Have a great day and I thank you for popping by! Remember, I am an email away and also you can click and have fun with my blog…..

Until tomorrow!
