Confession time…For many of you "regular" followers you can see that this post is very late today! I am sorry…
I shared with you that I did not prepare myself enough over the weekend for this weeks posts and after a L O N G day at work…I came home at 7:50 p.m….fed the dogs and dear Daisy…fell asleep on the couch …and the rest is history! Today is a new…great day!
Now is this a fun card or what! I am very pleased with the end result and just think about how you can use up scraps!
We all have lots of odds – n – ends laying around….my suggestion for you…when you see scraps…go ahead and pop out 1 1/4" piece and have them on have to make this simple and beautiful card!
Here you go…enjoy and please email me if I can help you and please leave me a comment and let me know how you like this – I think it is super fun!
Just like a quilt…I have used something old ( soon to be retired)…something new ( the catalog is coming soon!)…enjoy!

- The card size is a standard A-2 card in Island Indigo and then matted a 1/4 smaller in Pool Party then I lightly sponged the edges for a bit of depth in Pool Party!
- Speaking of Sponging…here is a tip = cut the sponge in 1/4's, therefore with one package you will get 12 sponges to work with…I try to rinse mine out right away after using them and they always look like new! Also, if you do not like getting your fingers dirty – use a clothes pin!
- The focal paper is the ***NEW*** Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Paper cut – using the 1 1/4" Square Punch and then I adhered them down 4 across and 3 down!
- Pulling out my main man, Mr. Big Shot, and then having a date with the Top Note Die created the perfect look of a quilt for this card!
- Is this center stamp great or what!!! It is ***NEW*** as a hostess gift and I just love it! It is called Sweetly Framed and it is perfect that you can pop it out using the Decorative Label Punch. I popped another one with the Island Indigo, snipped it and then adhered it to the outer edges!
- I looked at it and thought it still need a little pop…so pulling from the colors I thought Daffodil Delight would be a beautiful and fun addition…POP came a 2 1/2" circle punch…easy-peasy!
- The envelope…too darn cute, right!?!? I did the same concept as above…adhered it to the outer flap of the envelope and voila!

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and I hope it inspires you to go to your craft area and have fun creating all different themes using a quilt!
I love and would love being your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator…you can click away from your own home! I do send my customers tips, ideas and inspiration as my way of "thanking them" for using me as their Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!
I know that there are many options out there and I do appreciate your support and dedication to me…my business and more importantly my passion for paper crafting!
Until tomorrow….

Whew…that's what yesterday was for me and I have a confession…I did not prepare enough over the weekend for my blogs this week and I feel like saying…
"Calgon…take me away"

I even contemplated not doing a post but then my wonderful hubbie said….go up stairs and have some time for yourself to unwind and create!
This card is a …
"Easy-peasy" kinda card!!!
Hang tight 'cause here you go!
(Click on the pictures as I was not happy with the photography)
- The neutral is Very Vanilla…cut for a regular A-2 card!
- I cut the ***NEW*** Pistachio Pudding in a 4" X 5 1/4" and then used the corner rounder to soften the edges!
- The Very Vanilla piece is 3 1/4" X 3 3/4"… then wowed with the Scalloped Trim Border Punch on both ends was the backdrop for a special touch!
- Pulling out "Old Faithful"…the Summer Silhouettes Stamp Set….I knew that it would not let me down! The colors I used were the Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Pacific Point and the ***NEW*** Crushed Curry ( LOVE!!!!)
- The sentiment….TOO DARN CUTE – is also ***NEW*** and it is a "hostess stamp set" called Express Yourself! If is a wonderful addition and one that you simply need to have!
- I needed a bit of femininity so I pulled my all time favorite ribbon to use….the seam binding ribbon – sooooo easy to use! This is the Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon – tied in a simple "Susan knot"

- Adhering this on a piece of ***NEW*** Strawberry Slush ( don't you love that name) Card Stock cut at 3 1/2" X 4" made the flowers really POP!
- Now let's talk about this envelope liner, it is from the ***NEW*** Quatrefancy Specialty Paper Pack!…can you say W O W!!! Just love this Designer Paper – make sure you have 1 or better yet 2 of these paper packs on your list! It is soooooo beautiful, handsome, elegant…..the adjectives could go on and on!

Now how is that for a quick and beautiful card! I think the thing love about this stamp set is….you can just "GO FOR IT" – If you are a little off….no biggie! I am so glad that I was "pushed for creativity" from John….it was what I needed from a long day at work!
Please let me know how you like it….email me or leave me a comment…..
Until tomorrow….

Wow…I am "squeaking" this in on the last day! It is time for a Pals Paper Arts Challenge – something that YOU can participate in every other week!
You do not have to be a PAL…you do not have to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator…you just want to have fun and play along with other incredible paper crafters!
Here is the challenge…it is a color challenge!

Using these 3 colors…I was pleased with the end result – this was a
tough color combination to work with and while I was driving home from
work – it came to me…just use all 3 with the Honeycomb Embossing
folders…. alternate the colors and the white will help break the
starkness of the colors!

- The base of this is a 4" X 8" piece of Whisper White…scored at 4" to make a square!
- TIP!!! Make a template of the "correct size" for a hexagon out of a heavier cardstock ( I use a piece of cardboard)….then just snip away to get the shape PRESTO! Stampin' Up will be coming out with a Hexagon Punch soon….but this works like a charm!
- TIP!!! Use the 2 way glue pen…soooo much easier than trying to get snail on the little pieces!
- AFTER I put all of my hexagons on, I then cut it into a 3 3/4" square! TIP!!! Be careful when you cut…go slow and be patient as it is a super bummer to put those hexagons down and then you tear your paper!
- Now for the fun part…Stamp the image, this was from the Feels Good Stamp Set onto a piece of white card stock – TIP!!! remember to scruff up your stamp to get a great coverage of ink!
- Go back to the Big Shot and cut this image out using the Windows Frame Framelits and do the same in the next larger size with the Pool Party Paper!

- Using the ruler edge of my work surface…I took the bottom of the card and then with adhesive on the back, carefully placed it so the card would be at the 5 1/2" mark to fit a standard A-2 card! I lined the envelope with the Designer series Paper! So fun!
This was fun and "mission accomplished" ! I was pleased…this is another "concept" card that you could do for so may different card themes…just go to your stamp sets and look at the shapes that would fill up a Window Framelit….Think about changing the endless color schemes…I think this would be a beautiful Christmas Card!

Please email me or drop me a comment! Make sure you go to the Pals Paper Art Page and see all of the beautiful works of inspirations!
I hope that you will play along next time…it is fun! As always, you can click here and shop away from your home and your goodies will be delivered to your door! The new catalog is getting closer and closer…WOOT-WOOT!!!
Until tomorrow!

Sometimes you create a card and you say…"I like that"!!! Well…this was me! I feel like I was having a "I miss my white withdrawal" This card is a "me card" – quick , simple, one that is just plain and simple….ME!
I am going to miss this stamp set, Button Buddies, but you all know that I will always just HAVE to keep it around because of my dear precious little pig, Daisy-Mae! She would be totally offended if I didn't keep it around!

I looked up a "Webster" definition of what the word snail meant….and #2 is it to a tee! I just had to reconfirm that is was being S L O W !!!
snail
/snāl/
Noun - A mollusk (class Gastropoda) with a single spiral shell into which the whole body can be withdrawn.
- (in metaphorical use) Any person or thing that moves exceedingly slowly.

Here you go….onto the card….I just love it! - Whisper White was my neutral cut in half and scored into a regular A-2 Card!
- Using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig is the ONLY way to do this card…why in the world would you stress yourself out by trying to make the distances between the snail perfect….well – with this super tool…it is a TIMESAVER…a no brainer! This was stamped in Calypso Coral and the Stamp Set is on the 'bye-bye" list…Button Buddies!
- The So Sorry Stamp Set is soooo darn versatile – if it s not on your "A list"...click here now and get it! It covers so many cards that we all need to send out! This was stamped in Gumball Green!
- Before I matted it on a piece of gumball green card stock – I thought it needed a little "bling" – Placing the Gumball Green Satin Stitched Ribbon in the matching color was the perfect choice….and my trademark of a knot was perfect fr this clean and simple card!
- Something different….I took the diagonal scoring plate and scored 2 lines that frames the ribbon….I know it's hard to see….but click on the picture to make it bigger!

I really enjoyed making this card….but more importantly – I hope you do!

Please email me or leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts! This is such an exciting time with Stampin' Up! – the new catalog…the amazing incentive…. – Spring is in the AIR! Until tomorrow….. |

A HUGE thanks to so many that left me great comments and sent me emails yesterday! Your inspiration helps me create and continue to learn this wild ride of blogging….I swear….I do this and sometime I ask myself – Does anyone see it? Then by then end of the day and I go to post the next day's goodie…I am WOWED by how many viewed my blog and blest to have you as cyber friends and customers!
SNEAK PREVIEW ALERT!

Here you go….
- Very Vanilla was the Neutral of pick today! I cut it at 4 1/4" and then scored it at 5 1/2' to make a vertical card!
- This NEW stamp, "Wildflower Meadow" Clear Stamp set is ONE HUGE STAMP! I inked it up with the NEW In Color, Baked Brown Sugar ( love it!!!!) and instead of stamping it…I put the paper on top of my stamp and rubbed it all over – this is really a huge stamp and I feel you get a better impression!
- Then…the super cool thing is that this stamp has a matching embossing folder, Wildflower Meadow…so naturally I put that to use with the help of my main man, Mr. Big Shot!
- Using the Regals Blue Buttons…I threaded the Whisper White Bakers Twine through it and knotted it off…I then felt it was too stark so I used the sponge and sponged a bit of the ink in it to soften it! I also placed a tiny pearl on the bird for his eye!
- I love the Stamp set, Loving Thoughts, and felt it was perfect for this card! I took a small piece of very vanilla and using the stamp-a-ma-jig I was able to perfectly place it right where I wanted it …then took the sponge again to soften the edges before mounting it on a piece of midnight muse!
- Using Stampin Dimensioanls for both the base of the card as well as the sentiment create the wow factor…o.k. stampers – by now you know…you have to have a TON of these Stampin' Vitamins…they MAKE your cards!
- A card would not be "Susan" card without a liner….and this beautiful Midnight Muse print is from the Print Poetry is the perfect finishing touch! ( I surely hope that you have bought this "bye-bye" paper….it is a must!)

The countdown has begun with the new catalog….my "mother load" of catalogs come today and I will be soooo excited to mail them to my customers! You are going to just have to block of a L O N G period of time to take it all in…..heck – maybe a sick or personal day from work!!!!
