Today, May 6th is a special day for me…as it marks my…
1 Year Anniversary With
Stampin' Up!
I "pulled the trigger" today last year as I knew that Stampin' Up! not only makes the best paper crafting products…I felt an instant energy and positiveness with Mary Fish's PALS team…and I have never looked back once!
Being that I was in direct sales for many years, I naturally did my research to see if "they – Stampin' Up!) was really true to their word about letting demonstrators do their business "their way"…and YES – they do from day one!
If you were to ask me this time last year if I would be blogging = simple – NO WAY!!! ( remember, I am computer challenged) and I would have never ever imagined that through blogging I would reach so many from all over the world that not only inspire me…they are my customers…they are my friends!
I have several "die hards" that always give me that burst on inspiration to continue to create…blog…share my stories and I thank you for that inspiration!
This card is for Mary – letting her know how much I appreciate her support, her genuineness, her gift of leading, her endless gift of sharing and her simple and precious gift of being "Mary" Thank you for believing in me, for inspiring me and for leading all of us PALS!!! You're the best!
I know….I know…..onto the card – I think I am spoiling you with these "bullet point" tips = ( it really keeps me on my toes!!!)…enjoy…

- Can you guess what color this base is….Sahara Sand! I cut it at 4 1/4" and then scored it at 5 1/2"
- I have been wanting to use the Pinwheel Sizzlets in a card for you for a while…and when I thought bout today…it is a "happy day" for me….and pinwheels just make you smile! Can you say B A R G A I N = this little gem is only $4.95!

- I ran the pieces of Subtles Designer Series Paper through my main man, "Mr. Big Shot"
- The sticks were just sticks I use when I make Cake Pops! Using the Mini Glue Dots made this a cinch for both the pinwheels as well as the sticks!
- I carefully slid a piece of Certain Celery Taffeta Ribbon thru the sticks and carefully tied a knot! ( remember – I am bow challenged)…and heck – I like knots!
- Don't you love that sentiment and the little hearts – this can be your for just $9.00 "Sweetly Farmed" – it includes 10 stamps….a NEW Hostess gift…SNEAK PEEK!!!! I love it!

O.k. – I know what you are thinking….how am I going to mail this to Mary without getting squished! Simple – use a padded envelope and when you go to mail it – ask the postmaster to "hand stamp it" so it will not go thru a machine!
You can make these pinwheels flat to mail easily but I like the "fluff"! I hope that this card has brought a smile to you to start his work week off! I certainly am smiling and I am thinking of all of the fun I have had over this year with Stampin' Up!
YOU make me love doing this everyday….true it is a big time commitment but I appreciate the support and dedication you continue to give me! Please tell your friends about my blog and sign up for my daily dose of fun! As always, I am an email away and I do appreciate and cherish your comments!
Thanks for making my 1st year so much fun and I look to more fun and creative times ahead! Until tomorrow…..

Good Morning! Now here is a super cute, super easy, super economical card that is not only sweet…it is fast and it has that simple WOW factor that any one would surly love!
This is also a card that can be "mass produced" in a jif and changing up the sentiments and colors would make it have a totally different feel!
This is a "sneak peek" of the NEW colors that will be coming your way with the NEW catalog! It features the new "In Colors" as well as the new color on the palette - "bright color" addition…Bermuda Bay!
From left to right the colors are…Crisp Cantaloupe, Bermuda Bay, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush! I just love the names they come up with…kinda like OPI Nail Polish Colors…they always have fun names!
Where did that sentiment come from??? Well that is also a newbie and it is a "Hostess Newbie" and it can be your for just $11.00 with your hostess dollars you earn when you have an event! This is a "keeper" of a set to have…filled with 12 different, wonderful sentiments! ( I wish I could show you a picture of them all…but I can't yet!!!)
Now we all like bargains right??? This Floral Fusion Sizzlits Die is a deal! For just $5.50 look at the WOW it does and just think how a little flower here and there when you have a spot on your card that needs a little bling….PERFECT…right!!!!

From the comments I receive…you all seem to love when I do the "bullet points" of sizes…I'll try again for you…if you are confused - I am an email away!

- The finished card size is 6 1/2" X 3 1/2" therefore you will start with a 6 1/2" square scored in half using the Whisper White!
- While I had the Whisper White out…I cut another piece at 6" X 2 3/4"
- To maximize my precious card stock I cut a 2 1/2" piece of each of the colors I mentioned above for my flowers! Using the Floral Fusion Die I ran each through "Mr. Big Shot"
- Glue Dots were my adhesive of choice…so easy and so strong and then I put an adorable "bitty button" in the center of each flower!
- Out can the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I get this super sentiment just where I want it! (make sure you do your sentiment BEFORE you put your flowers down!!!)
- Using a ruler…I faintly drew a line at 3" to center my flower and work outwards!
- Matting the whole piece with the Pistachio Pudding at 6 1/8" X 2 7/8" completed the simplicity of this card!
Are you thinking…where did that envelope come from? Well it is a Stampin' Up! envelope that they used to carry…I personally loved it and stocked up on many before they had their final "bye-bye"! I think it is fun that it opens on the end! I used a scrap of the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper to jazz it up!

Have no fear – you know you can always make your own custom envelope! It is truly amazing what you can do with paper!
You all will love the new catalog and all that it offers! Remember…if you join Stampin' Up right now thru the end of the month…you can do so for just $99.00 and be able to pick $155.00 worth of ANY Stampin' Up! Products including the NEW ones I showcase in today's card…so again, my question to you is "What are you waiting for"
You can click here and get started and then you will have access to the new catalog to start "planning away" what you just HAVE TO HAVE! I know…stampin' becomes addictive so this is the main reason it is a no-brainer not to get your products at a discount!
Tomorrow is a milestone for me as it marks my 1 year anniversary with Stampin Up! I "clicked the button"…took the plunge on May 6, 2012 and it is simply the best thing that I did for myself! I am part of Mary Fish's PALS group and I have gained a HUGE family of passionate paper crafter and the endless supply of resources that are available to the PALS is simply amazing!
I would love for YOU to join me in this fun journey. In a million years, I never would have thought I would be "blogging" everyday…being able to make such beautiful and simple cards…have a HUGE family of passionate fellow demonstrators and customers…this simply is so rewarding…..
I thank you for POPPING by and until tomorrow….

"Head's Up" for all of you faithful readers…get ready to do the "happy dance" when you see the NEW catalog! It takes many, many looks to take it all in!
It's funny – I think we all get a bit reluctant with "change" and I am sure like myself…we are sad to see many stamps sets being discontinued and then when we get the new catalog and do that 1st go-thru…we say…it's ok but…IT TAKES TIME to let it all soak in!
I have been looking at it everyday and each day I get more and more excited to order the new goodies! HANG TIGHT – Stampin' Up! has not and will not let us down and personally – I think they did an amazing job with the new catalog!
Here is a sneak peak of one of the incredible designer series paper…it is called "Quatrefancy Specialty" and it is WOW! Just love all of the rich colors and it is so fresh and cheery! I did the card style last month and had so many great comments, I thought it would be fun to use a total different scheme! Hope you enjoy!

- The base is Pool Party 8 1/4" X 4 1/4"…scored at 2 3/4". The inside Whisper White piece is 5 1/4" X 4 " and the print paper is 5" X 3 3/4"
- The outside scored piece is Whisper White 2 1/4" X 4" and the fun print paper is 2 1/4" X 3 3/4".
- The "inside" card it Pool Party 6 1/2" X 3 1/4" scored in half…31/4" then layered with the NEW IN COLOR yummy color – Strawberry Slush in a 3" square with a piece of Watercolor paper at a 2 3/4" square ( make 2 of these)

- The inside sentiment came from one of the "bye-bye" stamp sets, "A Word For You"…one that I will miss, always a simple and special way with words!
- The envelope was jazzed up by cutting the designer paper to fit the outer flap and then using the best scissors in the whole wide world…the paper snips to make it look WOW!

I hope you enjoyed this post…it is truly a great card style to make in so many ways! I was totally WOWED by the amount of emails that I received yesterday in getting the files for the paper!
I will be logging all of that next to get to you as I am sure many of you are ready to get organized!
Referrals are the best way….so please refer my blog to your friends, family and co-workers! Subscribing to the daily blog is so easy – just enter your email in the catalog above and you will be able to get a daily dose every day! I am also an email away if you need a question answered!
Enjoy the day….it's Derby Day…always a favorite of mine to watch! Remember, you can click here and order from me and your items will be shipped right to your door….doesn't get any easier than that!
Until tomorrow……

Are you ORGANIZED?
Back in February I did this post about organizing paper…
now with the new catalog…the new colors…the colors that were being discontinued
it was time to re-do all of my paper!
Last Sunday I took the plunge and carved the time out to re-do my paper! My Pre-Order arrived last Friday so I had all of the NEW paper and I knew I just had to make the time to do this task!
We all know that once you do something like this…you will be doing the "happy dance" as there is nothing better than having a system that works!
If you would like me to send you the files that have all of the paper color names ,please email me and just put in the subject line
SEND ME THE FILES…
and I will be more than glad to share with you! I used just Avery Labels (#5167) for the small ones and (#8663) for the larger ones!

I will say I am a bit of an organizational freak and I also love to maximize space!
I found this quote and just loved it! I hope it touches
you the way it did me – I think we all get frustrated when we are not
organized!
"When it comes to organizing a workspace, relaxation and comfort aren't
the primary goals. Work is about efficiency and productivity. … The
more neat and logically organized your workspace is, the better you will
be at your job."
— Peter Walsh
Organizing is something that we ALL struggle with and I find it to be very
interesting that each of us have our own system of being organized!
The
best thing that I find with organizational systems is…there is no right or wrong way as each of us
need to do what works for us!

There
is nothing "prettier" than to see my "stampin' area" clean and tidy (
and trust me – that is not very often) but one area that totally sends
me into a tissy is when I have paper and scraps here and there!
I will
say that having my paper in this system makes me use a lot less paper as
I am using my scraps up more efficiently. Before I would just pull
out a new sheet and cut away!
I
simply went through the catalog and typed out the names of each of the
paper and printed them on Avery labels and POOF – done!
I do keep them
in the "family" as they are in the catalog as I just find that to be
easier for me…ie – subtles…brights…in color etc….. I basically
am making 2 different labels for each color…

- smaller one for the tab - ie….Cherry Cobbler – Regals… then placed the label over the actual color of card stock! (the measurements are 1 1/4" X 3 1/2" and then I scored it in half…slid them in the tab – DONE!)
- larger label for the hanging folder BEHIND my full sheet folder and I label this one ie….Cherry Cobbler Scraps ( These labels are 2" X 4"…so I cut a piece of scrap in the color just 1/4 larger…I would use WHITE labels rather than the clear ones in this picture – I just had the clear ones at home!)
Hope
this all makes sense and please feel free to contact me if you have any
questions! I love to think that I am an organized person but many times
I am challenged to find a system that works! This just works for me and I hope you find it helpful!

Please remember, we all
need to figure out what works for each of our work spaces. I also think a
key element in keeping paper organized is that I am able to keep these
bins of paper out on a work table!
I have been asked – where did you get the bins?
- Go to an office supply store…a Walmart etc… – I have had these for probably 15 year but I know that they are out there!
- Make sure you get the larger (longer) tabs for your paper colors…makes it easier to see!
- You can get your labels at the office store as well –
- For all of our paper colors, I use 2 bins!!!
Please leave me a comment and share with me how you like this post and also share with me how you organize your paper! I am always "game" to listen to how others do things!
I am in the middle of organizing my 12 X 12 Designer Series Paper!!! I will share with you in the near future that method as well! I will also share with you the files with the names of the NEW designer series paper!
Sharing is fun…sharing is kind…sharing helps everyone! I love what I do an I love helping you!
Have a great day and until
tomorrow…

This special evening is…PROM!
After I did the post before focusing on the petal cone…I had an email from a friend asking if I would make 2 of these gems for her daughter and friend! She (the Mom) was going to fill it with goodies….lipsticks, mints and knowing her – a beautiful heartfelt note wishing her "little girl" a magical evening!
She sent me a photo of the colors of the dresses but I was too afraid to try to match them so I went to the neutral /safe option….but naturally added some bling!

Please refer back to my post on how I made these! Super fun – Super WOW…and you better hurry up and purchase this die….click here – NOW as it is a keeper and you will use it often "just because"!
Please give me some feedback on how I'm doing with doing these bullet point tips!

- Petal Cone Bigz Die is the main stage of this post! TIP ALERT – I find it better to only cut 1 piece of paper at a time…true you can do 2 but I find the impressions become too deep and you will have a better chance of tearing ( but…every Mr. Big Shot is different)
- The colors I used were the NEW…SMOKY SLATE (love), and COASTAL CABANA and Basic Gray!
- ALWAYS use Sticky Stripe to put this gem together! It needs the toughest adhesive we have!
- The strips are 1/2" strips and I would adhere them BEFORE you assemble the cone…soooo much easier to do one strip…snip…the other….snip etc….

I hope that these girls have a magical evening filled with laughter, lots of dancing and memories for a lifetime! I never went to a Prom and I think that it is such a special milestone! ( I threatened my kids that I was going to chaperone their Prom….really wanted to but I didn't)

Have a wonderful day and tomorrow will be my "organizational post" that you can email me back and I would love, LOVE to send you a goodie!
