There is so much that I love about this card – where do I begin! I will say that this stamp set, Circle Circus has always been a favorite of mine….why? ~ not sure but I just look at it and see how many different elements that it can be used for….please make sure you subscribe to my blog so you do not miss tomorrows posting….I am going to use this stamp set in a TOTALLY different way!
I simply love the crumb cake envelopes and I do use it so often in all of my projects….I thought for a sympathy card the combination of Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Not Quite Navy would be a great trio! Still needed something so I pulled out the Houndstooth Embossing Folder to make it go WOW and think it did`! I used a bunch of punches…1 1/4 " Circle punch and the 1 3/8 punch! TIP: – when you go to cut the paper that has already been embossed – cut it backwards….it will help prevent tearing and also give it a cleaner, crisp edge!

From here…I just kept playing….stamping out my sentiment from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set and then separating it to "fit in"…..I really like the way it looks….how about you??? – please click here to give me some feedback, I always enjoy and appreciate your thoughts! Next I thought it could use a little special something and being "bow challenged" as I am…I went to my never fail me…..Seam Binding Ribbon…as it always makes great and simple knots….and that's the way I roll……simple!

The finishing touches that by now you are used to….POP and LINE! The envelope was lined with a handsome paper from the Regals Designer Series Paper….I know that these appear to be a bit pricy but when you see how many sheets are in it and how they complement all of the Regals Collection……it is a great deal! Trust me, you will use them ALL the time!
I hope that you like this card…I think it is very clean and crisp! Make sure you check out my blog tomorrow…..same stamp set – totally different look! It will show you how versatile sets are and how you can go with your style to achieve your goals! I would love to help you ….I would love to have you on my team and be a part of Mary Fish's Pals community…..so easy – so fun….so do-able…so you! Have a great day!

I was looking at my "card stash" and I did not have many basic "thinking of you" cards and I was in the mood to use the aqua painter pens….so out they came! The inner Picasso was unveiled!

I did use lots of different tools and tricks to make this beauty but I thought….what the heck – it's the weekend and I'm not working so lets play! I felt like I have not been using purples lately so I decided that to be my focal color! I knew I wanted to be an art student and pretend that I can paint so I looked at the stamps I had and the "Bordering on Romance" looked like the perfect choice ~ and the Sweet Essentials…it truly ESSENTIAL for you to have as it is a no brainer go-to sentiment stamp set!

First I ran my Elegant Eggplant Card Stock through my main man….Mr Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder ( so sophisticated looking) and then cut it into strips! TIP….when you cut it – flip it over…the paper cuts better and you are less likely to tear it! Mr Big Shot was working over time for me today as I used the poor guy again ( he was tired as I made 6 of these cards) and I used the Floral Framelits for the flower on the front! After using the Black Staz on Ink I stamped it on our watercolor paper and then punched it out with the 2 1/2 circle punch! TIP – I do recommend using the watercolor paper when using the aqua painter pens….true you can get by with our white cardstock but this paper is meant to have a water on it…works and holds a nice flat image great!
The colors I used to water color the stamped image are Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder, and Old Olive.

Using up scraps I stamped my sentiment and then layered it on top of a scrap piece Wisteria Wonder Cardstock….put some stampin dimensionals on the images to pop it (naturally) and then pulled out Regals Collection of designer paper for my liner and…one perfect and elegant card! Please click here and let me know how you like this card! Remember – this is a great and basic layout that can be used for many different occasions…don't limit yourself to having to reinvent the wheel in coming up with different layouts – find your style and roll with it!

by Susan Itell | Feb 23, 2013 | Thank You

I was in the need of some Thank You notes so as I sat down I thought…darn I wish it would be warmer….so looking through my stamps – the Spring Sampler jumped out and said….me…me…ME – and of course I needed a sentiment and the "A Word for You" always has fun and fresh sentiments to complete your card!
Well I think this is one cute card! I was looking for something that was quick and fun and also something that did not have a lot of fuss! I do not know about you…but polka dots make me smile…just like balloons do and just like my kids do!
When you break this card down it is very simple…using a ruler as a guide to make a template for your punched out squares makes it a super cinch to be duplicate and when you think of all of the stamps you can use in this style of cards…..absolutely endless!

Who doesn't love "lady bugs"? I call my daughters dear friend "Carrie-Bug" and she is the recipient of this card as she is helping me BIG TIME (no pun intended with the stamp set) this summer at work! A perfect card for a great girl!
In breaking down this card it is super simple! Tools I used were the 1" Square Punch and the Apothecary Accents Framelits…everything else was from the magic of my favorite all time trimmer….the stampin' trimmer you need to have if you do not have one!!!! Click here to order any of these goodies!

I know you know me as the pop up…lined envelope…and ribbon knot queen! That's right…that's how I roll as I like it simple! The 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon is super easy to work with = a win-win for me! This ink that I used to stamp my image is the Staz On Black Ink Pad – another favorite!
I think that this is a super cute card….so cute that I am going to send you the square template I made for making this card if you email me and let me know how you liked it! This is something so basic and doable for all levels….I want to make it even easier in sending you the template…cause' – I know you can do it…especially if I can!!!!
As always, I thank you for stopping by my blog today and until tomorrow….

My very first Pals Paper Arts Challenge! Being part of the Pals is so much fun and I know that each and every month they have great and fun challenges but I have never participated…..until today! I walked slowly down the diving board and took a big jump!

The way I look at it is that you need to start somewhere but more importantly to me…I want to have fun creating and relaxing by doing what I love! Creating works from my heart! Well….what do you think! Please give me some feedback – I think it turned out super-fun!
Here is the challenge sketch for todays challenge….please go to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge and see all of the great cards that show such talent from so many from all over!

Earlier this week, I shared with you how I took apart a wheel…and again, this is another card that I did the same! If you want to revisit a video from my upline, Mary Fish….click here! This stamp is the Take a Sip Wheel Stamp…too cute and I stamped it with the StazOn Black on Water Color paper and then I let my inner Picasso come out and I used the Aqua Painter to water color some details!

Are you wondering where this sentiment is from…..Friendly Phrases….but I masked the"on your new baby" just to get the "congratulations"!!!
Fun trick – sticky notes are the BEST!

Don't you love that ribbon….so natural and sooo easy to tie in a knot! Now that's my kinda ribbon – Natural Trim Ribbon! The printed paper came from the Comfort Cafe Designer Paper! Not only was this card fun to make…it will be a gem to give as I have a special friend that just achieved a milestone…..and being the coffee lover she is…this is a perfect card to give her kudos and inspiration along with a gift card to her favorite "Java Place"

As always, I am a click away and I would love to help you achieve your goals….teach you new tricks of the trade or better yet – have a one on one private session with you to be able to inspire and give you my time! I love what I do and I love helping others achieve their goals!
