Woot-Woot – It’s here!

Finally, Thursday the 28th of August! This is the day that we all have been waiting for and for a great reason, the launch of the new catalog! I am sure that you will agree with me that it is pretty darn tootin’ special!

Index

Speaking of special – today is the last day that you can take advantage of the Short & Sweet opportunity. Because it is short (ENDS TODAY) and because it is sweet (getting $51.00 FREE + and also FREE SHIPPING), I have brought together a group of “must haves” in my opinion!

You will see that I have left off the bundles…WHY? Easy = If I were you, I would turn around over the weekend and think about you opportunity to use your 30% off 1 time discount and then add the Bundles to your order.

Think about this – when you buy a bundle, you save an instant 15% on the bundle, when you place your 1st order you will also take an additional 30% off…that deserves a huge WOOT-WOOT!

Also…we need to talk about the Big Shot promotion, that does not end until August 31st….so if I were you – I would take advantage of getting the Big Shot at 30% off and still you would be able to take advantage of the FREE BUNDLE selection, click here to see the offerings, (I would get the get the Brights and Beautiful Stars  – that would be FREE a $43.95 value) Here comes another WOOT-WOOT!

Here is a list that I came up with: (no particular order)

Click on the highlighted item to see the product

$149.35 total and you only pay $99.00

and again, it SHIPS FREE!

Please feel free to email me if I can help answer any questions you might have. Truly, this short & sweet is a great opportunity and one that I would take advantage of as there is simply no risk!

I think that you will agree with me that this new catalog is quite special. I feel that it is super clean and classic and I am looking forward to inspiring you with many clean and simple projects!

Don’t forget that I am offering a Paper and Ribbon share, your opportunity to get a taste of products without having to break the bank. Click here to see the offerings and remember that I will send you that super cute handmade card as my way of saying “thanks”!

Be a sponge and take this new catalog all in. I think that when you see your “Wish List”, you will see that the “short & sweet” is the icing on the cake! You can click here and get going!

For every order I receive until Monday evening at 9 p.m. eastern time, your name will go in the “cyber pot” with random.org to win your choice of (2) Designer Series Paper from the new catalog along with 6 handmade cards from me!!!!

Until tomorrow!

“thanks” for a simple sunday….

IMG_2232

Happy Sunday! This is a super easy card that delivers a big WOW and truly is it so easy and fun to make! I was inspired by Stampin’ School…I was so interested in it, I just had to give it a try and it is a great technique.

I made this card for all of my customers that I sent the new Holiday Catalog to. If you have not received yours yet, please email me! Remember the new catalog is available for you to order from on Thursday the 28th!

The stamp set is called Seasonally Scattered and it is a fun sentiment stamp! Having just the sentiments allows so many opportunities for Designer Series Paper – different techniques etc!

135023G

Let’s go! The base is Very Vanilla and a regular A-2 card. Because I was going for a “fall theme” I chose the colors of Crush Curry, Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss. I know that it is hard to see but the deep color I matted the vanilla is the Blackberry Bliss!

IMG_2229

All you do is ink up the stamp with the Crushed Curry (I like to “ink” up with the stamp image “UP” when there is a large image like this!) Next is the fun part and no two cards will look the same…this is what I loved about making quantities of them!

Take a sponge dauber and dap it in the old olive and randomly dap away! Do the same with a new dauber and use the Blackberry Bliss! THAT’S IT! Call yourself Picasso!

IMG_2234

TIP  – the BEST thing about this card is that it is SUPER easy to make many at one time…assemble line all the way! The most time consuming thing is that you do need to clean the stamp before each one because you do not want the Crush Curry to get all inky with the other colors! This is why our stamp cleaner is ALWAYS on my must haves! it makes cleaning so fast!

126200L

Using another new product, the Natural and Old Olive Trim, I simply placed a piece around the front…anchoring it in the back and then taking a small piece of it and tying it in a knot and ruffling the ends and then a mini glue dot to adhere is all that is needed. (I will be having a ribbon and paper share with the NEW catalog)

IMG_2231

To the envelope we go…I lined the outer envelope with a DSP from the Flower Pot Collection…this is a fun and fresh collection of colors.

IMG_2235

Many thanks for referrals…as we all know, this is the best form of growth and I thank you! It makes me smile when I receive an email from someone and they found me through…I love blogging and I find it to be a great “outlet” for me to express who I am!

Please email me if I can help you and remember to let me know if you have not received your catalog. It’s a keeper and I am getting more and more excited to share with you new goodies! I just had to say…."THANKS"

IMG_2230

Enjoy your day and remember, tomorrow is Make-It-Mine Monday! Until tomorrow!

“Star light…Star bright”

IMG_2285

Yesterday I shared with you a fun card using the star framelit and I told you that today I will be doing another card with this framelit and also a NEW stamp set that is sold as a bundle ( just for this promotion until the end of August) and this bundle can be your FREE with a purchase of a Big Shot!

Even though the NEW products from the Catalog are not available until the 28th, you can purchase this special stamp set and framlit NOW…it is called Bright & Beautiful! (love the name)

135029G

Please see the stamp & framelit sets that you can get for free. If you do not have a Big Shot, this is the best opportunity to purchase one. Click here and you can see the options and you can also order!

I think that if you follow a bunch of blogs, you can see “hands down” that this is a tool that we all just love and would not be without! ! I have a funny story for you…the first time I used it I thought I had totally ruined the plates as they naturally got all scratched up and I was so worried…I still think of this each time I use it!

You are getting a double whammy as I am going to showcase 2 different cards using these framelits and stamp set! Let’s go!

IMG_2273

i
mage © {Year}
s

For the above card…I used the largest Star Framelit and took a piece of Very Vanilla folded over and ran it through the Big Shot – shaped cards are so fun and different.

Using a piece of scraps of very vanilla – stamped the image in Mossy Meadow and then used the coordinationg framelit…PRESTO!!! I think that this color is going to be my "go to" Holiday Color…I love it and I think that it will be stunning with the satin ribbon!

Now here is the fun part…after you cut out the star which is soooo fast and easy with the Big Shot… use a piercing tool – make a hole in the center of the star so you can see then middle when it is flipped over.

Take the star to the simply scored tool upside down and line up the points into a groove and carefully score! HOW EASY! (You can see that I was a bit off on one side but in the end it does not matter)

IMG_2268

Fold to the inside of the points to give it the depth/3 D effect! FUN right!!! Last year my dear friend Brian King did something like this and I never gave it a try but when I saw this stamp set…it spoke to me…try it!!!

To adhere it all I did was use mini glue dots at the end of each point and then I stacked up (3) stampin’ Dimensionals on top of each other for the center in case “gravity” through mailing would make it sink!

IMG_2271

Now to card #2 – I used again the Mossy Meadow for the stamped image and then cut out a larger one to mat it! The size of the overall card is 5” square card and then using the super fun neutral of crumb cake  – today’s card is coming together!

IMG_2278

I used the same technique that I did for the star (one the 1st card) The fun embellishment of the pearls was a perfect touch for both cards. Remember, it is so much easier to use the piercing tool to “lift” up the pearls and adhesive (saves a bunch of frustration!)

IMG_2282

When I looked at the card I felt it still needed something…I wasn’t sure if the white gel pen would be the right answer and be too stark but it works perfectly. I often get asked about my dashes – the best advise I can give you it JUST DO IT…do not worry if they are not the same length etc…the end result will be “just fine”!

The sentiment is from the NEW stamp set called Endless Wishes and it is available for you to order from starting August 28th! This stamp set was a limited edition last year and sold out and there were lots of “Sad Stampers” but I am thrilled that they have it in the catalog this year!

IMG_2283

After making my own envelope with the help of the Punch Board, I lined it with the fun paper from the Trim the Tree Paper Stack….YES – there is a new paper stack and I am thrilled…these gems make life oober easy!

INTERSTING TIP: –  I have used 3 different shade of green for this card but the end result is…IT WORKED! There are times that you need to “tweek” colors to make it work for the project you are working on.

IMG_2289

WHAT DO I MEAN? Well I stamped the sentiment with Old Olive instead of the Mossy Meadow…WHY??? It would have been too dark on the crumb cake (if I used the Mossy Meadow) – and this looks like the perfect match!

For the envelope liner…the coordinating color (for the new paper stack) showed it to be garden green but because the print was so small I tried it against the card and it looks "just fine”

Well…you like? I was happy and it is hard to believe that we will be working with Holiday Stamps….I think that the selection of sets in the Holiday Catalog are super-duper!

If you are currently not working with a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and would like to receive a catalog, please email me and I will be happy to mail you a catalog and also work with you!

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about this post and also with the promotion of the Big Shot! It truly is an amazing tool that is a one time investment that makes our job easy!

Enjoy the day and thanks for popping by – until tomorrow!

Woot-woot…it’s Blendabilities day!

Screen shot 2014-06-30 at 10.44.18 PM

Today is the day that many of you have been waiting for…the ability to order the 1st wave of Stampin’ Blendabilities! I must say when I first saw them at Leadership in January I knew that they would be a hit…an instant hit and I truly thought that the would have been available at the end of the 1st quarter. Why weren’t they???…

IMG_1322

The reason is simple, they knew with the excitement that there would be no way that they could keep up with the demand and the end result would be back order and we all know how frustrating back orders can be!

Enough….the good news is that today you can order 6 (color sets today) plus the Skin Tone set and the remainder of the colors will be available to you on August 1st  I think that it is very smart of Stampin’ Up! to stagger them this way.

Screen shot 2014-07-01 at 6.08.05 AM

Another great thing about today…..you all know how beautiful the Designer Series Paper is….well turn to pages 188 – 187 and this month you can buy 3 and get 1 free…no limits on how many!!! (I just love when they run deals like this) Click here to see the offerings!

Back to the Blendabilities – these are the colors that you can order today!

  • Cherry Cobbler   (Item #130995 – $11.95)
  • Coastal Cabana  (Item #131000 – $11.95)
  • Daffodil Delight   (Item #130998 – $11.95)
  • Old Olive   (Item #130999 – $11.95)
  • Pumpkin Pie  (Item #130997 – $11.95)
  • Rich Razzleberry  (Item #131003 – $11.95)
  • Skin Tone Assortment (Item #129370 – $22.95)

This is also available and a must have to help with shading and fixing "boo-boo's"

  • Color Lifter  (Item #129369 – $4.95)

You can see by the pictures that each color comes in a pack of 3 and you will get a Light, Medium and Dark Marker so you will be able to blend perfectly! I think that these are the answers to many of your prayers of wishing that you could water color.

Let me clarify that statment…YOU can water-color but I know that many of you do not enjoy it, find it frustrating etc…but I think that this method using the blendabilities will be a FUN and rewarding method of coloring…(remember how much fun it was to color coloring books!

IMG_1336

I warn you …this is a totally different technique and true there is a learning curve but I think that it is going to be one of those bicycle things…once you get it – you get it!  I adore coloring and these are so fun to play with – I know that you all will do wonders with them!

Three things that I especially like about them…

  1. You use whisper white card stock (this is PERFECT for those of you that do not have or card for the water coloring paper)
  2. You use a new Black ink called Memento. (this is my new favorite Black as it cleans just like our stamps…no special cleaner and your stamps do not get stained)
  3. You can color on our embellishments…..pearls, rhinestones, buttons…

Here are the item numbers for the Ink! ( a must have)

  • Memento Ink Pad (Item #132708 – $5.95)
  • Memento Ink Refill (Item #133456 – $4.95)

Let’s go….this is so simple and I just had to change up the sentiment for today to YIPPEE-SKIPPEE!!! As I thought that was super appropriate for the unveiling today~ This is from the Yippee Skippee Stamp Set and it always makes me smile with the fun sentiments!

The Stamp is that super beautiful stamp called, Vivid Vases…again – one of those "no brainers" that Stampin' Up! is offering us…super for a budget but always has a classic WOW end result! This would be a great starter stamp for you to learn to use the blendabilities!

133818G

I said that you use Whisper White….LOVE IT….but have no fear with ths picture below…this is the back of the colored image. The thing I love is that the pens do NOT alter the look of the paper….the front is just as pretty as if you would have stamped it!

IMG_1320

Did you see the pearl…so simple – just color it whatever your heart desires…you have an instant matching embellishment. Quick, fun & DONE! Here is the front of this clean and simple card.

IMG_1321

I decided to make my own note card in Rich Razzelberry to POP the accents of the Blendabilities…and I love the end result! The best advice I can give you is practice, practice and then do it again!

IMG_1334

I would also Google to watch videos on how to use them and you are going to be amazed at all the different angles and ideas people have with them…I say – watch this one from Mary Fish…to me – she nails it – very short, sweet and spot on! (Typical wonderful Mary)

Also….watch this video from Stampin' Up!  – I think it is a great over view on this fun product! SU has many videos on their You Tube Channel that are well worth watching…

IMG_1328

I know that there is a big buzz about these gems and as a demonstrator, I can order the next set of six and I am super excited to play (well…after I get my ribbon and paper shares out the door) The liner was from the "Susan go-to"  the Brights DSP Stack…..just love them!

I am very proud of Stampin' Up! for being on trend and offering these great markers! I know that these will be a favorite of many as I feel that they are "forgiving" for those that want the look of a "hand colored" image! Please feel free to email me if you have questions!

I am excited to share with you more samples as well as more tips and tricks as I learn them! Let's have a great day and until tomorrow!!! Stampin' hugs!

Woot-Woot…June 2nd is here!

Click here to download the PDF Catalog

I know that this is the day that we all have been waiting for and I know that you are going to love this new catalog as much as I do…in my opinion – this catalog lends itself to "Clean and Simple" at it's best and you know me…I like simple!

Remember, our dear friends at Stampin Up! are working super hard to get the new goodies ready for us to order today but the on-line ordering will not be available until noon (Mountain Time) for me…that means (2 p.m. Eastern)

If you still are wanting to take advantage of the Ribbon Share I am offering, please click here to see the post and if you want to take advantage, email mail me and I will get you in….I will be ordering at 2 today!!!

I know….we are all excited and because of this excitement – I am offering you an opportunity to take advantage of earning hostess benefits for all orders today – June 2nd – thru Sunday, June 8th at 9 p.m.

Screen shot 2014-06-01 at 11.01.55 PM

If you are placing an order over $150.00 do not use this code…why??? because if your order is this or more – you will be able to take advantage of getting rewards yourself. (If you would like your own hostess code…please email me and I will be happy to give you one for your family and friends!)

When placing a order, simply type in the number(or copy and paste it) 9AHHUX9Z – in the box that says "hostess code"…at the end of the week I will use random.org and one lucky person will be able to reap the benefits from using this code…good luck!

For every order that I receive during this time frame, you will receive a full package of "Bakers Twine Ribbon" of a NEW color along with a super cute card from me!

I know that this is a very preliminary "guess" as to what my favorites are going to be…but I can assure you that these items below are on my order today! I really am soooo darn tootin' excited! I know that Stamp Sets are not on the list…but they will be in a future post!

  • 1/4" Cotton Ribbon, page 207….each and every color…I just know that this is going to make BEAUTIFUL bows….even I can do this! ( I am THRILLED will all of the new ribbon, but I think that this is my favorite….we'll see!!!)
  • Crumb Cake Note Card and Envelopes, page 194…just doing the happy dance!
  • Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, page 227…fun for just $7.95 – there are several new cute ones but this is my favorite!
  • All of the Designer Series Papers, pages 184 – 187…they are FABULOUS THIS YEAR….
  • Cut & Ready Card Bases, page 194…I know that these cost a bit more than cutting the paper and scoring it yourself…but I find them soooo handy when you need to make a card if a jif!
  • Stars Framelits, page 231…Stars always work….always make you smile and feel good!
  • Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, page 222…we love the retired one..but this one is a keeper!
  • Fun Flower Punch, page 219…fun, fresh and versatile!
  • Decorative Masks(both of them), page 205…the are not only super affordable – they will be very useful!
  • Fast Fuse Adhesive, page 204…a NEW super strong adhesive to be able to use as an alternative to sticky strip…strong enough for 3-D projects (refills available)

Well…this gives you 10 ideas as to what is on my list and tomorrow and on Tuesday, I am going to share with you a SIMPLE card that you are not going to believe how easy it was to make…using Project Life….(another favorite that I think has a learning curve but I know it will make life sooo much easier!!!)

Do you see a "Missing Piece"

Blendabilities which are on page 212…I know that you are eager for them and they are G R E A T….as you know they are not available yet…well – there are 7 collections that are available to Demonstrators!

WHY? I posted about this the other day, but in a nut shell…SU knows that they are going to be soooo darn popular that they are fearful that the supply will not be there and trust me…we all know how frustrating it is to have things on backorder with an undetermined time of availability!

If you are a demonstrator you can still order the 7 sets that are available to us. If you decide to take a test drive with SU, I will gladly provide you the color families of the markers that are available. Please email me and I will call you and we can talk! SU is hoping to have these available by the end of July….(as soon as I hear – I will blog about it)

Do not forget that the amazing offer for taking  a "test drive" with SU for just $50.00 and you can pick $55.00 worth of product….get these sets of Blendabilities and then your 1st order you will be able to take a 30% discount! That in itself is a WOOT-WOOT! Click here to see the post!

Please feel free to email me and we will talk! I love what I do and I love helping YOU!!! Enjoy the catalog….take it all in…and BE HAPPY!!!

REMEMBER  – you will not be able to order until noon Mountain Time but please put in the hostess code so you can have an opportunity to "be the hostess" and "reap the benefits"….someone has to and it would make me happy for it to be YOU!!!!

Put the hostess code in 9AHHUX9Z….(remember this is for June 2nd – June 9th!!!)

Also if you are a new customer to me…I will mail you a catalog (I know that there is nothing like having the real catalog in your hands!)

Everyone that orders from me during this 1st week will receive a goodie from me….a new pack of Bakers Twine…I will close out this hostess code on Sunday night at 9 p.m. Eastern Time and then on Monday I will let you know who will get to go shopping with the hostess rewards…my thanks to YOU!

Until tomorrow! (sorry in the below item thumb nails – some are not current yet but tomorrow they should be fine)

“Time to celebrate”!!!

IMG_0262

Yesterday I shared with you that I am trying to use colors that I often forget to use etc…and yesterday it was using the color Soft Sky…(click here to see that post) and today I am using Rich Razzleberry! Once again, I cannot say why I do not use this a bunch as it is such a fun and bold color!

You can also see that this is a tall and skinny card – you know I like mixing things up and making odd shape cards and now that we have the super fun envelope punch board, I ask you "why not???" For just under $20.00 this gem makes envelopes and so much more!

IMG_0255

Let’s get to it!

  • I started with a piece of Rich Razzleberry  that was 7” X 6” and then I scored it at 3 ½” to end up with a 3 ½” X 6” card! The Very Vanilla that I adhered with “green glue” measured 2 ½”” X 5”
  • Using the NEW Stamp Set, In This Together (don’t you love the name) I stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla that is 2” X 4 ½” using the new Memento Ink Pad….WHY??? When you use the (woot-woot) Blendabilities you should use this and it is a GREAT Black ink!

IMG_0249

Comment– I know that you all are as excited as I am about these new pens and I love the fact that Stampin’ Up! is on trend with coming out with these Alcohol Ink Markers (each color assortment has 3 markers in a set)….but they WILL NOT be ready to order on Monday when the catalog launches!

I know that it is disappointing but they know that the supply is not as high as the demand is going to be on Monday and far better to know this now than be disappointed that they are on back-order…

Stampin’ Up! is hoping that they will be available at the beginning of July but I will let you know as soon as I see an update with a confirmed date….BUT – do you remember that as a Demonstrator we were able to order 6 out of the 13 color combinations they come in…..and do you remember that right now SU is offering a $50.00 special in taking a test drive with SU…..???

IMG_0230

This is a great example of not have anything to loose and gaining great benefits! If you want to get SU products at a discount to “support your habit” than this is the perfect time to email me and I will be happy to give you the codes you need as these markers would count towards your $50.00 opening order!

Actually you could order (3) sets of the markers and the Memento Ink Pad and that would be $53.75 – BINGO…done!

  • I used the Blendabilities to color in this fun image. The marker colors I used were from the Rich Razzleberry Assortment (for the dress) and the (shoes and lips) were from the Cherry Cobbler Assortment and the (flower and drink) were from the Daffodil Delight Assortment!

IMG_0269

Comment – I honestly have not had a solid block of time to play at length with them but what I will say is…they color soooo darn easy and that since there are 3 shades in each assortment (light, medium & dark)…it makes it fun and easy to use and shade plus they are like our markers and have a brush end and a fine tip end!

  • Matting this on a piece of Crushed Curry that is 2 1/8” X 4 5/8” and then POPPED up with Stampin’ Dimensionals!
  • The WOW part is the envelope! I used the Envelope Punch Board with a piece of paper that was 8” X 8” and then followed the directions on the board – scoring it at 3 1/8”.
  • I lined the outer flap with the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack and then jazzed it up a bit with using the Pansy Punch and the new heart that is in the punch pack….cute, right!?!?

IMG_0268

I love making the envelope both fun and festive! There are many ways that you can do this…and this is a great example!

We made it home for 10 hours and then we are off this morning for Pensacola with my Dad! We had a FABULOUS time in Boston and the weather was just spectacular.

IMG_0275

Many thanks for all of the great “ribbon share” orders! Please click here to see the post from the other day and if you would like to take advantage of this great opportunity to get the NEW ribbon at a fraction of the cost please email me and put in the subject line RIBBON SHARE (this helps me when I look at emails)

Screen shot 2014-05-29 at 7.18.12 AM

I am pleased to offer this to you for many reasons, but most importantly for you to be able to get a great selection of all of the new ribbon and use it 1st hand and then you can make the decision later of you want a whole roll. The minimal amount of ribbon you will receive for a certain ribbon is 2 1/2 yards! We all know that there are LOTS of stamp sets that you are "itching" to get…so this offering really helps!

Enjoy your Saturday and get ready to be super excited with the NEW Catalog…I feel like we are getting so close to turn over that hourglass!

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about the $50.00 test drive…your 1st order will allow you to take a 1 time 30% off and how about that – you can order the NEW things on Monday and get them for 30% off and not have to but another order in until October 31st and if you decide that you do not want to order again…no worries…no penalties!!!

Until tomorrow!
