Hello – Hello!!!

There are some really great stamps and this is the only time you can get them……so – the moral of this story is… shop and click away!

IMG_1646

This card is the basic layout that I did a couple of days ago with the cupcake – I basically just stamped the simple "hello-hello" in Midnight Muse and beause it was such an odd shape…I thought what the heck – just freehand it! I matted it on Crumb Cake…freehanded that as well – slapped it on with dimensionals….popped a couple of pearls = DONE! Well not quite – I looked at it and felt ot was a bit boring so I just added  piece of Crumb Cake Ribbon + a simple knot = the finished card! – BAM!!! If you have not purchased the Print Poetry Paper….BUY IT….the colors and prints are too die for!!!!!

IMG_1645

Here are a couple of the single stamps that are available! Sorry – I was having "Susan computer difficulties" and could not figure out how to download all if then nice and neatly….so please go and click here and you will be guided to all of them! There are some real keepers and remember they are only here until March 31st!

This “Secret Garden”…is a special garden!

IMG_1636
Wow…this is what I said after finishing this card! I love it! The size is one thing that I love – this is a 6 X 6 card…I know ~ you're thinking what envelope does Stampin' Up! have to fit this…simple = YOU MAKE A CUSTOM ONE! Super easy~ super special as I made it with a sheet of designer paper!

I know there's a lot going on with this card…but I love the colors and I simply love the sheer classic lines and colors~ I feel like I am in a Lilly Pulitzer store! The center stage Stamp Set is from the Spring Catalog, Secret Garden. I think another reason I just "had to have" this stamp is because it also come with matching framelits that make it sooooo easy! Remember, SU sells the 2 together in a "bundle" and that is definitely the way I would go, you'll save 15% and if you have one….you need to have both!

I love using Framelits, probably because they are so easy to use and always make you look like a "pro" because they are a exact cut! I used 2 different Framelits for the center sentiment , the larger pink one is from the Apothecary Framelits collection and then the oval is from the Ovals Collection Framelits! The sentiment is from Sale-A-Bration, Vintage Verses…..time is ticking away – this stamp set can be your free with a $50.00 purchase but it ends on March 22nd…all you have to do is click here and you can order right now! I think what makes this card is the yummy colors I chose…Garden Green, Wild Wasibi, So Saffron and Melon Mambo! I just love the 3 flowers I did on the left but the pearl in the center is perfect and makes a WOW statement!

IMG_1639
Now making a custom envelope is sooooo darn easy! For this card I cut a piece of designer paper from the Subtles Collection into a 10 X 10 square! Next, using the diagonal scoring plate I scored all 4 sides at 4 1/2" and then as you can see in the below picture I cut the notch out on all corners! I would recommend using sticky strip in adhering the envelope together because of it's strength…It is SUPER sticky!

IMG_1633
IMG_1635
You can see that I did use Stampin Dimensionals quite a bit …I just think the depth of textures really makes a card! This card will require additional postage because of it's size – but I think the "specialness" of this card definitely deserves it! One tip ~ when you have a stamp that requires a lot of ink…like these leave do ~ take the sanding block and scruff it up a bit. This make the ink really cover the stamp to get a super clean image!

Quinn’s “Button Buddies”

IMG_1627
I love animals…all animals but my loves are my dogs, horses and my dear little pig, Daisy Mae!  Daisy had visitor yesterday and they hit it off! Quinn Phillips came to town to visit her Godmother and they came out to our home to pay Daisy a visit! Quinn and Daisy were friend at first sight! Naturally Daisy needs to send Quinn a note thanking her for the blueberries and carrots she gave her!

I admit…I totally bought this stamp set, Button Buddies, just for the pig! Daisy became a family member in November and I will say – It was one of the happiest days I can remember! I cannot tell you why I love pigs so much, but I have always…always wanted a pig! This year I turn 50…age is no biggie to me at all and I have told my family that this is all I want for my 50th (my husband was g iven 2 minature donkeys for his 50th)…even though he didn't want them…I did!!!

After stampin' the pig in black (just like Daisy) I felt the square's were fitting (sorry Daisy … you really aren't square ~ you're a beautiful piggie!!!!)…I punched out the 1" squares with Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist paper…adhered them to a piece of scrap card stock ~ then ran it through Mr. Big Shot with the Houndstooth Folder to give it a WHAM….just like Daisy! I felt the black was a bit too stark so I framed the sides with a peek of white!

IMG_1631
I knew I needed just a short and sweet (just like Daisy) sentiment, so out came the Teeny Tiny WishesQuinn…this card is "just for you" from Daisy Mae! I thought it still needed something so I went to my punches and pulled out the ticket duo builder and pop it went ~

S   T   R   E   T   C   H   I   N   G

it a bit…I peeked out a bit of black from each side! Perfect!

By now you know me….Stampin' Dimensionals were a must for this dear little piggie and sentiment…but…the button makes her! This came from the Subtles Designer Buttons, something that I do not use often but don't know why as they are cute! The best way to adhere them is with Glue Dots! Naturally I need to line my envelope and sooooo easy – just go to the Subtles Designer Paper ( cause' it matches!!!!) ~ Stampin' Up! makes it soooooo easy!

Thank you, Quinn and Haven, for coming out to see my dear Daisy! She loved each and every moment of it…I told Quinn when we go out of town….Daisy could come stay with her!!!! ( Her Mom and Dad are going to love me!!!!)…

Miracles are Bloomin’ Marvelous…

IMG_1619
Have you ever sat down to make a card and you knew you didn't have a lot of time and it just came together like 1-2-3? Well this is all about this card and I think it is super cute! There are several things that I love about it…

~It uses minimal supplies

~It is super clean and simple

~It is easy to mass produce

~It's just fun to sponge circles and stamp here and there!!!

~ and…miracles do happen, just believe!

IMG_1621
I am getting ready to make a bunch of cards with some great volunteers for our local Breast Cancer Organization and as I have been thinking of cards that would be quick and easy but of course… super beautiful ~ this just spoke to me! It is basically using a bunch of the circle punches and randomly punching out a template (I used a heavier piece of cardboard for the template) You can see below how the template looks and you can see I just used a sponge to make the image! The sizes of circles that I choose are: 1 3/4", 1 1/4", 1", 3/4", 1/2" (page #184 in catalog)

TIP: when making your template…make it 1/4" larger than your card stock you are working with!

IMG_1622
I have not used the Scallop Trim Border Punch for a long time and I thought this added the perfect touch to the bottom edge of the body of the card! You can use a minimal piece of paper along that bottom edge and that little touch gives it a special flair! The stamp set is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and it can be your for FREE…click here and simply purchase $50.00 and you can choose from 19 different products! This offer is ending March 22nd! After layering it over a piece of Melon Mambo Card Stock, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to lift it up for some depth! The finale of my card is the clean and bold liner of the envelope…It is a fun pattern from the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Paper which is in the Spring Catalog!

Circle Circus again…in a Sassy Way!

IMG_1606

Yesterday I used this same stamp set, Circle Circus…but today look at the difference…the feel and fibe is just cheerful and fun! I simply love this set as it is one that makes me smile and you can use it for many different themes! Next time – I'll show you it heat embossed…..looks super cool! This card is for my special daughter, Hannah, who is about to leave for Spring Break doing her favorite love…riding horses!

The colors I chose were simple, fun….just like Hannah! Out came the Melon Mambo, Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight! The card itself is pretty straight forward…I added a bit of jazz with Mr Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.…( these little gems really give you a bang for your buck….for just $7.95 – you can do a TON of things!) I simply used the coordinating colors of ink to here and there stamp the cute circle ~ added a splash of ribbon for balance and to give it a fun and funky twist!

IMG_1608

I did stamp and punch 3 circles using the 3/4" circle punch to add that special "punch" ~ Popping them with dimensionals makes it come to life! Isn't this font on this sentiment just perfect for the vibe of this card!?!? Sassy Salutations is a fun and sassy stamp! Another one of my regular go-to's. I simply stamped it on whisper white card stock and then using the Decorative Label Punch, it was a perfect fit! To do the behind one…easy-peasy ~ simply cut in half and adhered it to the sentiment!

IMG_1609
No card would complete without lining your envelope! This is what I just love about Stampin' Up! Everything color coordinates perfectly ! The "In Color Designer Paper" made the finishing touch! You can see in this below photo how I layered this a bunch! This is a look that I love and a look that is not only easy but it makes the wow factor really POP! Who wouldn't enjoy receiving this card!

March is right around the corner…..YEAH and BOO…yeah because we are getting closer to better weather and boo because Sale-A-Bration will be coming to an end! Bordering On Romance

I was looking at my "card stash" and I did not have many basic "thinking of you" cards and I was in the mood to use the aqua painter pens….so out they came! The inner Picasso was unveiled!
IMG_1566
I did use lots of different tools and tricks to make this beauty but I thought….what the heck – it's the weekend and I'm not working so lets play! I felt like I have not been using purples lately so I decided that to be my focal color! I knew I wanted to be an art student and pretend that I can paint so I looked at the stamps I had and the "Bordering on Romance" looked like the perfect choice ~ and the Sweet Essentials…it truly ESSENTIAL for you to have as it is a no brainer go-to sentiment stamp set!

Bordering on Romance - Clear-Mount Stamp

First I ran my Elegant Eggplant Card Stock through my main man….Mr Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder ( so sophisticated looking) and then cut it into strips! TIP….when you cut it – flip it over…the paper cuts better and you are less likely to tear it! Mr Big Shot was working over time for me today as I used the poor guy again ( he was tired as I made 6 of these cards) and I used the Floral Framelits for the flower on the front! After using the Black Staz on Ink I stamped it on our watercolor paper and then punched it out with the 2 1/2 circle punch! TIP  – I do recommend using the watercolor paper when using the aqua painter pens….true you can get by with our white cardstock but this paper is meant to have a water on it…works and holds a nice flat image great!

The colors I used to water color the stamped image are Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder, and Old Olive.

IMG_1569

Using up scraps I stamped my sentiment and then layered it on top of a scrap piece Wisteria Wonder Cardstock….put some stampin dimensionals on the images to pop it (naturally) and then pulled out Regals Collection of designer paper for my liner and…one perfect and elegant card! Please click here and let me know how you like this card! Remember – this is a great and basic layout that can be used for many different occasions…don't limit yourself to having to reinvent the wheel in coming up with different layouts – find your style and roll with it!
