Good morning and I need to start off this post by saying that I am soooooo incredibly blessed to be able to have so many cyber friends and customers that read my blog. As you know, my blog is a connection to who I am and what I am about.
Needless to say, yesterday was a very busy day for me and I dared not to let Earlene know that we were having this party at our house as she would felt so bad that I spent so much time with her and Milo on Saturday. (she does not have a computer so I know that she will not see this)
You all know me by now that I adore animals and I also hope that you know that I try to do the "right and joyful things in life" but I do not think that it is going to work out with Milo and Earlene.
She is scared that she is going to fall and trust me, I am being very patient and want what is best for both her and dear Milo.My heart is so torn as she has the "will to love and wants a companion"but she is scared.
I know that my blog should be (I need to admit to you….I think the word "should" be eliminated in the dictionary) but this is the way I am feeling right now – it has been a long day….it is past 10 p.m. and this is the first that I have been on the computer and between calls from Earlene, the shelter and having the party – I feel like saying….
I apologize that I am not sharing a project of inspiration for you today but as I say "Life is Life" and there is always tomorrow!
Please think of me….I am trying to do a good thing, but at the same time I need to be realistic and do "the right thing"…..I appreciate you all!
Hi all….I am so sorry to be a huge disappointment to you but I will pop back on later to finish this post.
In a nut shell….it was SUPER HARD for me to pick just 10 and I was working hard on it for you. I did do a video and I am hoping that you will enjoy it!
When I am able, I will pop back on and list the (BIGGER) that 10 for you…to sum it up in a nutshell (ha-ha –yes, I love the acorn punch) – this is a FABULOUS CATALOG…..truly stellar in many ways!
My doctors appt was great and I will fill you in on that but I need to be honest, my dear Eddie is not doing well. He has not been having a good week and even though I have not blogged about that, I need to make him comfortable.
Please keep him in your thoughts….he is my old guy that loves life but we have known that he has been ill. He is so determined and brave – he played ball last night and then came in the house and is not well.
I hope that these pictures of him will bring a smile to you….we took him on the boat on Sunday and he LOVED it…..each day he brings us joy but I am fearful that he is trying to tell us something.
The BOOT is officially off and I have a new friend……I am calling her "baby boot"
Thanks for understanding and until later……
UPDATE: – I just logged in quick to let you know that Eddie slept by my side all night and is very peaceful. I will call the vet this morning and talk with her.
Those Jack Russell's – they have a HUGE heart and are so loyal….it is a day by day and by all means…all I ask and pray for is that he is comfortable because I can say – he is happy old guy.
Good morning and if you follow my blog regularly (and I sure hope so) you have heard me blog recently that I have had "special requests" from my PEEPS for specific cards….it is Will's turn today – he asked if I would make him a card for some friends that are getting married!
I accepted this challenge with pride and it makes me totally smile that my PEEPS like to come to me for something that is made from their Mom's hands! I do not make many Wedding cards but I think that this worked out just fine!
The size is a 4 1/2" square card ( one of my favorites) and I used my handy paper swatches to dictate the color scheme for todays card. The pick of the day is…..Farmers Market — this is a paper set that YOU NEED TO SEE IN PERSON….and it is gorgeous!
I had some fun today and used the square framelits to cut a hole out of the center of the Very Vanilla (4") and then I ran it through the Big Shot with the FUN Large Polka Dot Folder (just love this one) and then using the #3 & #4 Framelit, I made a "frame" square and snuggled it in the hole that I cut out.
Because the sentiments were rather small, I thought it would be fun to put a small card (2"square) inside the frame! It was super easy and it was fun to do! I used the Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the "frame and mini card" in place!
The stamp set is Happy Happenings and it is full of fun sentiments! An easy stamp on both the inside as well as the outside made this easy-peasy!
I simply could not resist to add my dots all the way around, I thought that it was fitting to pull together with the DSP . I wish that you could hold this in your hand as it is super fun that it is flat and then you can see that I POPPED the whole thing up on top of a piece of Black Berry Bliss.
Now you know that I love Bakers Twine but we do not have Bakers Twine in natural….or do we??? I used the Gold Twine Bakers Twine and "pulled out" the gold thread and then just did my double strand bow….adhered it with a glue dot….PRESTO!
To me, the beauty of this card is that you are getting a 2 for 1! The message of congratulations is clear but then you have the whole inside of the card to write a wonderful note to the newlyweds!
You could use this layout with so many different themes…just a fun and different twist!
Next….my favorite – the beloved envelope! The envelope punch board and then I made a liner with the matching DSP that was on the card!
On Sundays post, I shared with you how I made the liners for custom envelopes and it really is easy! To make this liner I only had to use a 3 1/2" square piece of DSP!
I am going to do a video for you on this method as maybe it will be easier to see….you know that I love my envelopes so I am sure that I can entertain you with many, many ways to make your envelopes both festive and fun!
I am sure that Will will appreciate this card and his friends will think it is special that it is not a "Hallmark" card. This was a fun card to put together and I know that I will make this again.
The hour glass is slowly getting closer to September 11st – the magical day that you all can SHOP AWAY from the new catalog! If you would like a hostess code, please email me and I will be more than glad to get you one! This way YOU can get the benefits from ordering and if you have friends and family – go for it…..let them know the hostess code!
Let's have a great day…until tomorrow – I hope to see you as I have a sweet card for a SUPER sweet person!
I adore this sentiment because it is so true and something that I feel we all need to embrace with life…
The SKY'S the LIMIT
This wonderful sentiment is from the Over the Rainbow Stamp Set and you can see below in the picture – it's a keeper…it is fun….it is super unique…and it covers so many different cards to be made!
On yesterdays post I shared with you how to make these FUN poppers and I was "pulling it together" with a FUN card for Hannah. I knew that I wanted to make her a special card and I think that this "nails it" to wish her the best for her last year at College!
Before we get to this fun card, I want to say a big "thank you"for the many comments and emails I received about taking that plunge with a video. I means so much as I have really been a turtle with my head in and it truly encouraged me, thank you.
Let's get to this SIMPLE yet CLASSIC Card. It is an odd size, 4 1/2" X 6" – you know that I love my odd sizes and with the envelope pinch board – why not?!?! Does this look familiar to you? My dear Stampin' Friend Sharon sent me this card that I blogged about and I told you that I would CASE it…how in the world could I not as it is just fabulous!
I just LOVE the color combination today! The DSP is from the Schoolhouse Collection and it is sooooooo much more than for "school age children" – I think that this is a super classic print. and then the stripe – WOWZERS!
You can see that the "classics and basics" work….the Big Shot, Circle Framelits, great paper, Trimmer, Simply Scored and of course, Stampin' Dimensionals….I REST MY CASE – you just cannot go wrong with having the basic tools as the basic will make you shine…..ALWAYS!
Let your imagination go wild with the different cards that you can make with this layout. I can easily see a Birthday card, a Holiday Card…it would be a SUPER Baseball card….always look at a card "that speaks toyou" tell you how you can store that in your wonderful brain and pull it out later!
Making an envelope for this odd size card was easy with the punch board but I just wanted to really make the envelope super fun with this bold prints!
The prints are 1/2" and the navy is 1/4" – Isn't this super fun? Just take your time when doing this and I do love the green glue. Now if this does not make you smile…..please tell me why?
I cannot wait to make this card using a holiday stamp…and of course I will share it with you – I was going to do my famous dots on the stamped part but I restrained and I am glad that I did – it would have been too much!
I hope that you enjoyed today's post! You know what today is….drum-roll….drum-roll – the weekly deals! I just get as excited as you do to see what Stampin' Up! is offering. Click here to see the goodies…..do you have a favorite?
Something else super exciting….a week from today is the MAGICAL DAY that YOU can order from the new Holiday Catalog and I know it will be super fun for you to see the entire catalog! It's a keeper!

Enjoy the day and please never underestimate that The SKY'S the LIMIT….we all have gifts to give!
You know that I have been very "sheepish"(I thought that you would like that Mary Ann) in doing videos but at the same time I really….REALLY want to do them as by now you all know that I love what I do and I love to chat away and help you !
I have been using my Stamp of the Month customers as "guinea pigs" with videos but they have all been private and little by little I am getting the confidence to jump off that board!
So the moral of the story is that I have technical difficulties…..ok – I admitted that (that is the 1st step in making a difference….right????)
I had made this video(link is below) on Sunday to be put on my Blog Post on Wednesday.…and literally I have talked with more people from Apple all week as leave it to me with my luck – it was a glitch on my new computer and it just worked this morning!
Well…..here you go – I am putting myself out on the line and I am sharing….hopefully you will be gentle with me and I am excited to get this process down and share videos with you. I truly love to share with you my works of art from my heart and I have been wanting to launch into the video world so here you go with me going off the board!
Also, to clarify, if you are ordering product shares that come from the annual catalog, like the Designer Series Paper Stacks half sheets and the swatch rings, I can bill you via Pay Pal now and ship them to you before September 1st once I get everything cut etc….but….
If it is a share from the NEW upcoming Holiday Catalog, I will bill and ship to you after the Catalog goes live on September 1st!
The Shipping Charges are as follows: (I will ship Priority Mail)
Up to 3 shares – $5.95
4 to 5 shares – $7.95
6 or more shares…..FREE SHIPPING!
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. Enjoy the day……
p.s. – I think that I have sprouted many grays over this process this week…it's really bad when your kids say, "Mom, when do you go to the hairdressers next"? I know them well enough that they are being gentle on me with the "sprouts"!!!!!
Good Tuesday morning – I need to say a HUGE….I missed YOU! These past few days were ones that were not planned for but I needed to be there for a special person. I arrived home last night to a WONDERFUL surprise….my oldest "peep" from Boston came home so trust me, as tired as I was – a new spark of energy seeing him was a great and special surprise.
This is a super short post but I do have lots of pictures for you – I said to Hannah, I need to go upstairs and whip up a card as I miss my blog….I miss my play toys (my stamps) and I truly did not imagine being away as long as I was.
This card is going right to a special friend that needed a shoulder. I am super blessed to have her in my life and I hope that you are lucky enough to be able to have someone that you can lean on and also can be for them when they need you!
This is my kind of card…..very straight forward and clean! The stampin' trimmer is all you need to make the straight cuts and then layer paper to make the POP happen! (remember to POP out punches etc….to save paper if you are covering it up like I did here – no one will ever know!)
Stampin' Up! has come out with so many wonderful water color looking stamp sets…they look hard but they are super easy – just stamp one color and then use a different one – PRESTO!
Please do not be intimidated by 2 step stamping…it is really fun and they make you feel so good with the end result – remember having FUN is key!
I have my work cut out for me with checking and answering emails – I have truly missed my "dailiness" that I have become so accustomed to and I am looking forward to staying home!!!! As the saying goes….."There is no place like home"
Tuesday is weekly deals day! Please click here to see what Stampin' Up! has offered to us this week….I took a glance and my PICK – the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch….LOVE IT – use it often and you know what I call my punches….my SPEED TOOLS!……ZOOM!!!!
Thanks for your patience and it is so funny – you have no idea how much I missed our "daily chats" – '
Caleb has probably gone to college….Chris R has Mike in a movie….Mary Ann is making more incredible sheep.... Until tomorrow!
