WINNER and another WINNER!!!

Good Hump Day Morning!

I waited until this morning to do this post so I could allow as many people to “chime in” and share their favorite of the 3 NEW Sale-A-Bration offerings that will begin next Friday, February 16th until the end of March….(when Sale-A-Bration ends….) and also…..

We have had some terrible ice over night and it made doing the barn this morning…..a husband and wife tag team as we slid on our bums to get down the hill (we laughed and laughed…the dogs looked at us like “Whatcha’ doing silly parents”) as we both have that fear of falling! All is great and it is to get warmer later and hopefully melt!

Below you will see the screen shot of the poll and YEP…..we have some stampers that want MORE PAPER! I honestly thought that hands down the Bundle would have won….but I get it, the paper is lovely!

My order did come and you paper hoarders are correct….the paper is b e a u t i f u l and I am going to put my coloring skills to the test and use the Stampin’ Blends……BUT…..just wait folks as I truly can envision that bundle being a super simple, super sweet Easter card and the flowers are going to be so easy to highlight.

Now for what you have been waiting for……the WINNER…..soooooooooo get ready to push that chair back and put your hands HIGH IN THE SKY and SHAKE IT…..do that dance and then sit down and email me with your address as YOU WON!

Beth B from NC….you just won the Eclectic Expressions Stamp Set

Way to go Beth and many thanks for the fun feedback and ideas. I will say…keep watching as I just love to give Blog Candy away and what better way to give when there are goodies that not only you will appreciative….you will use over and over again!

The ideas that I were going to share with you are going to be pushed back for another post as yesterday, Stampin’ Up! shared some exciting news that we have all been waiting for and I am excited. No….actually I am ecstatic as I used Fast Fuse all of the time and this IS the deal of all deals…(I think that SU did not realize the sheer madness this brought when they offered it last fall)

The moral of this HUMP DAY POST STORY is do not wait….and I know, your lower lip will be down like a toddler and you would have missed this great sale. As I said, Stampin’ Up! offered this in the Fall and it was a ZOOM….ZOOM….THEY RAN OUT which left many people a bit sad….(well there might have been other adjectives that they might have used…but you know me…let’s be positive!)

Holding true to their word they said that once their inventory became high that they could offer this again as sooooooo many people were disappointed as it sold out licitly- split…they would have the sale again….

Well that time is here…..STARTING TOMORROW (Thursday February 8th)

Fast Fuse is a product that when it was first introduced people had a love/hate relationship with. I get it as I did the same and I think that in the beginning I set back more than I kept ….but once I learned to use it correctly, be patient…it was a friend, actually a BEST adhesive friend and YEP, if I was on a deserted Island….Fast Fuse would be in my must haves while on the Island.

The refills have soooooo much length to them and I invite you to look at the details when you make comparisons of a product. I will say that I toss the container and get a fresh one after using many, many refills and with this deal…..you do not feel guilty one bit.

Now I always say to you that I am an honest stamper….but in this case….I just do not think that I can be honest and share how many I will be buying (hopefully if they do not run out) as it would be to some….an amount that you would say…..WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH ALL OF THAT……

My answer….I’LL USE IT! I adore this adhesive has it STICKS and true it is not forgiving if you have to move it (that’s what makes green glue great) but I like an adhesive that HOLDS TIGHT.

When I do my monthly kits, I always use Fast Fuse to make my samples. The way that I look at it is….I create with what I use as I want you to have a well constructed card.

In closing, I have a super cute image for you and I hope that it makes you smile….as you all know that my dogs (and piggie)…(and stupid donkey) make me smile…..Just do whatever it will take for you to remember…..

TOMORROW IS THE DAY….you have been WARNED…..

so don’t be left disappointed!

Have a great day…..and I am THRILLED that so many of you are THRILLED with the upcoming, NEWBIES with Sale-A-Bration. I am looking forward to using them myself and also inspiring you with ideas.

I hope that you see the benefit of this Fast Fuse sale starting tomorrow…I can tell you that when I see an opportunity like this, I take full advantage of them as I know that they are a staple that I use over and over.

Friday will be a post that you will say…they are soooooooo sweet! It is a post that was inspired to me from another “Susan” and I am soooooooo glad she brought it to my attention!

A Masterpiece ANYONE can do!

Happy HUMP Day and I have a post for you that will bring COLOR to your world and trust me…..ANYONE can do this and the END RESULT is ALWAYS stunning with the help from our Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends!

Yesterday I went to a Copic Coloring Class with a super fun team member, Ramsey…and we had a ball! I called our “continuing education” time together the best L.L.L. time together (Lunch, Learning and Laughter)….and while we were having some crafting fun naturally we chatted…..and naturally one topic came up about – Stampin’ Blends vs. Copics. I will share with you my thoughts….

Today I want to flood you with pictures that were all created with the Stampin’ Blends

I was doing the “happy crafting dance” when Stampin’ Up! came out with our own branding of an alcohol based maker last Fall….called  Stampin’ Blends! They are a great addition to our line of products. I hope that you can see with these pictures the beauty and vibrance of these markers and the best thing…..

The Stampin’ Blends match our Stampin’ Up! colors…no thinking – one bit!

Currently the Stampin’ Up! Collection of Blends have 12 of our color combinations available and I am hoping that they will continue to add more colors as we go forward. Below you will see the offerings as of now. We all know one of the KEY FACTORS of Stampin’ Up! that we all love is our amazing color coordination throughout our line of products! I know that many of you have a sticker shock with them but hang tight and read on!

Each color has a light and a dark of the color family. I think that the biggest misconception of these markers is that you need to know how to blend…NOPE….and guess what – This post is for YOU if this is your thought….

These markers are simply “dream machines” as an alcohol based marker simply glides over paper….with no start and stop marks (streaks) and just absorbs into the paper you are coloring. You can use our regular or thick whisper white cardstock. The important thing to remember is that you do need to use a proper ink…..Memento is a perfect ink for the Blends.

Later in the pictures you will see that the “bleed through” is totally normal so I suggest that you always have a scrap piece of paper under what you are coloring. When I am at home coloring, I always use the Grid Paper, (one of the most useful SU products we have) to protect your work area.

Do you remember that John and I went to Durham to help Hannah move earlier in the month? While we were driving I had a ball coloring these cards! When I pulled out my markers and got all settled in the front seat….I can remember John looking over and said, “You are going to try to color?”….I said – YEP…I think I can do it and SHAZAM…..I was able to do it with no problems!

For my monthly card kit I made this card as a thank you for the people that bought my kit. I just adore to color as it not only is rewarding, it is relaxing. I used a 4 x 4 piece of paper that is from the Petal Passion DSP which will result in (9) cards yielded from one piece of the DSP. This collection of paper is fabulous to color but this particular patten is my favorite.

I sat there with my trusty board that I like to color on and this container with all of my Blends in them. If you are wondering what the tape is on my markers….it is a way I can identify what set I have as I do have (2) complete sets of these. I really do love to color and I like to keep one in this container that I can just grab and go and the other set is up in my work area.

You can see that anything goes and that is the FUN part to me. I did NOT blend once and I think, they look great (if I must say so myself) All I did was color a section with the light marker within the color family and then took the dark one and if there was a black line in the DSP image, I would do a swipe with the darker color and THAT IS IT!!!

Below you can see a visual of a finished card…I admit, I love to mat….so the one to the left is my style of preference but truly….they are all super-de-duper with a HUGE WOW FACTOR and a card that would definitely make anyone smile!

Because I did 54 of these cards in the brights……I thought – what the heck….pull out the Crumb Cakes, Smoky Slates and neutrals (the Ivory and the Bronze) markers and give them a whirl…..below is the result and I still think that it is stunning! I colored the white background of the DSP with the Dark Pink Pirouette and the result – woot-woot!

I was a bit sad as I finished all that I had to do while driving to Hannah’s as I had no idea how long it would take….and I was a little toddler with her lower lip hanging down as I had nothing to do on the drive home…..

Now…..let’s go the contrast….my stash of Copic Markers…..I KNOW…I KNOW…I have a ton of them but heck, I do love crafting and I do love to color. After Stampin’ Up! had to pull the blendabilities several years ago (which WAS THE BEST DECISION) I had already caught the Alcohol Marker bug….

I continued my love and started with Copic Markers. These are fabulous markers but they are expensive. Actually….they can rang from around $5.25 to $7.50 a piece and the color range….endless – there are many, MANY more colors than what I have but I just wanted to show you my stash.

What can I say but I do love to craft and crafting truly is therapy and joy to me and the people that I have met along the way….PRICELESS!

When Stampin’ Up! reintroduced an alcohol markers I knew that I would still purchase them as after all, I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator….and I do love the concept and feel of an alcohol marker.

The Stampin’ Blends ARE a fabulous product and Stampin’ Up! nailed it with their debut. When I am asked…which ones do you recommend…..I sigh as that is a super hard question to answer and guess what – you probably are not going to like my answer…..

I would get them all….

Yep, I do realize that it IS an investment but it is an investment that you will not regret. You can clearly see the investment that I have put into my Blends (2 sets) and also all of my Copics that I have but….heck, some people like to buy shoes….I like to invest in quality crafting products.

Now is the BEST time to get them all. We all know that Sale-A-Bration is the best time of the year with Stampin’ Up! and during Sale-A-Bration you can choose to get the complete set of Blends as your starter kit and just pay $99 and it would ship for FREE(that in itself is another savings of $12.50) plus you can pick ANY (2) stamps that your heart desires. (what would you pick)

There are no obligations what so ever to do anything other than enjoy your product, continue to order with a discount or simply get the deal and be done….please feel free to email me if you have any questions…..

My addictions in life are the 3 C’s – Critters, Crafts and Cooking….and I have fun with them all…please do not be fearful that you have to do anything like sell, teach or blog…..I adore hobbiest as I get it – you like to craft and you like a good deal……ME TOO!

Ready to get the deal now…..click here and you will be a happy stamper!

The tale of an adorable FISH!

Hello and Happy Friday to you his week went ZOOM!!! I have a SUPER FUNNY for you today….please read on and then you will see why this is “The tale of an adorable FISH”

John and I are “on the road” to be “useful parents” this weekend as we make the trek to North Carolina to move our youngest peep into a new apartment….what are parents for….right??? – I have my label maker and my rubber gloves packed…..John has his hammer with an assortment of handy necessities and Milo is coming because I thought – WHY NOT…after all, he is perfect!

The GOOD NEWS is that along the journey there will be a CONTAINER STORE…..and then about an hour later….and IKEA….and then about 2 hours after that…..one of my favorite little speciality/foodie stores….and then its kinda boring for the next 3 1/2 hours but I’ll make the most of it as I am in a great book! You see…..MILO DOES serve a purpose…..he needs potty breaks so his Mom can shop!

Now to my funny…..do you remember that the November Paper Pumkpin was that SUPER ADORABLE Holiday Stocking!?!? Well it was just simply adorable and when I went to OnStage I was able to see a sneak peek of if and I knew that I want more than my normal 1 box that I receive every month.

When you are a subscriber to Paper Pumpkin you have the ability to pause, add to or simple cancel your subscription at anytime without any penalty….it truly is that simple! Well….I went in and change my number to 12 as I knew that people would go goo-goo over that adorable stocking….and  YEP my sweet mailman had to drive back our lane and even said “Susan. I think they made a mistake….you have a bunch of those red boxes” ….

Well they were put to great use…..mainly by me as I just had a blast making them and using them as adorable “add ons” to Holiday Presents and also I made many sets for dear friends for their Holiday Dinner Table settings…they were just TOO DARN CUTE!

Here’s where it is funny…I TOTALLY FORGOT to go back into my Paper Pumpkin account and change the number back to 1 so YEP….it happened again…..my dear mailman did the same thing as the previous month. As I drove up to the house one day I saw a PILE of these boxes at the front door and then the LIGHTBULB went off….darn, I forgot to change the number!

Sooooooo the moral of the story is that I have a BOAT LOAD of the December Kit Stamps…..and I have been trying to find more ways to use it that as meant to be! That is the other thing that is amazing about this program….there are ALWAYS soooooooo many people out there that find the way to use these kits in an alternative way….

The person that shines for me each and every month is Rachel Tessman. She is just one amazing Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and she does a fantastic job with her alternative ideas…..this is where the fish idea came from! Every month she makes a wonderful video showing the Paper Pumpkin and then also shares alternative ideas!

Below you will see the video and the adorable Fish!!!

It is a long video but if you want to get right to the FISH part…..start at the (32:50) minutes of the video….You will see that Rachel received this from another SUD, Ann O’Shereo….(I could not find a link for her) but isn’t it just WONDERFUL when other SUD”s open their hearts and share ideas…..I love that part and that is exactly right up my alley…..

Remember, I am simple and I followed these instructions to the tee and not only was it super fun & easy…but they become addictive to make! Who every would have thought that a simple square envelope…a trimmer….and a small little stamp would make this adorable FISH…I say WOW to those people that have that type of creative mind!

Because I received so many FULL kits….I have a bunch of the stamp sets that came in the kit….and if YOU think that YOU would enjoy trying to make these sweet fish or heck, just want the stamp set (see images below)….simply email me and put in the subject line I WANT THE FISH!!!  The first 6 people (first come – first served) that email me will get the stamp set mailed to you. (I will not be able to mail it until Tuesday)

Please email me if you would like one of these free stamps…..

(hurry….I have 6!!!)

ALL OF THE FISH ARE GONE!!!

What did I put in the fish? Well…..Yummy Swedish Fish….why not? I could not find any prepackaged at my grocery store so I bought a bunch in the bulk food and put them in little bags and tied a bow! They are super sweet… snack M & M’s and several Peppermint Patties also fit perfectly!

You can see that I had fun using different current papers in making them – and if any of you have the retired stamp set called….Hey, Valentine – check out this great sentiment to add to these sweet fish…..I say TOO DARN CUTE!

Speaking of retired product….I have added a drop down box in my Blog Header with retired product from the Holiday 2017 Catalog. You will find it under SHOP….and then the Retired Product will be there. Please take a look and grab a deal, I sell all of my retired products at a 50% discount.

There you go….a never a dull moment – a tale from Susan…..an opportunity for you to get a free stamp and an opportunity for you to grab some great deals with retired products….I say that’s a trifecta!!!

I have had many requests for the Product Shares…..please see the tab on the Blog Header and then email me, I will email you back and get you in the next wave…..we all LOVE Product Shares!

Have a great weekend….I know that we will – spending time with Hannah is always a joy…..even when we are moving!

Last day before they jump!

As the saying goes...Out with the OLD and in with the NEW!      Yep, that’s right…today is the LAST day to snag from the Holiday 2017 Catalog. I know that we are super excited for the new catalog to be unveiled tomorrow and trust me,    “I get it” as I feel the same but at the same time there are a couple of retiring products that are leaving that I feel are total keepers and they a will always be warm on Randall Lane!

Please make sure that you check the “walking the plank” items before they sink into the “I do not know where they go Stampin’ Up! Sea” as I really think they are classics that will simply be timeless.

I have already separated my stamps that are leaving us and have tucked the ones into a special section of my work area of retired folks that sill live with me….here are the ones that I am keeping….just another peek for you…..because they ARE walking that dreadful plank….

There is nothing more classic that Mittens….from the moment I saw this bundle I knew that it had a permanent home with me!

YIKES  – This Mitten Bundle is already sold out but you can still get the Mitten Framelits!!!

This Stamp Set is hands down the most Holiday Stamp Set I used and I will always keep this one – Watercolor Christmas. You know that I am nuts over great fonts…and these fonts in this stamp set is the best! I made the card on the left and the fab-o card on the right was sent to me from my amazing downline, Karen Hallam….please check out her blog as she is one talented stamper! How classic and simple is good old fashion Navy, White and Silver!

This next section are BUNDLES THAT ARE BEING CARRIED over but they will NOT be at the 10% off discounted price after today….so the moral of this story is…..I would SWOOP them up to get that 10% discount….

I am thrilled that these are staying with the Stampin’ Up! Family….great products to carry on the Stampin’ fun! Do you see in the card on the left below….where I showcased the Painted Harvest? That “merriest Christmas wishes” is from the Watercolor Christmas Stamp….it is just one FABULOUS STAMP!!!!

Seasonal Chums

Painted Harvest

I LOVE this bundle and YEP, I will send you this card with a qualifying order….CLICK HERE to see the current incentive and hostess code…this ends today!

Hearts come Home

Snowflake Sentiments

I think we all know that it is COLD outside…..I mean REALLY COLD….here is a super silly picture of my dear John –  I think lost his mind yesterday….I came down from my work area and looked outside – he had built a little fire in the fire-pit and was sitting all bundled up with the dogs….

When I asked him what was he doing he looked at me and said – “What does it look like? I decided to have a little camp fire out here with the dogs!” Silly if you ask me….as they looked like they were having fun BUT…..it was COLD!

I wish I had a better picture of our riding ring….I have shared that John loves to decorate for Christmas….well over his shoulder is our ring and he has little white lights all around the ring and then has but a wreath on each of the 12 jumps that are in the ring with some spots lights….it is just beautiful at night when you drive down our lane and see the lights!

There you go! A little reminder of the last day to take advantage of the “bye-bye birdie” items….click here to see them and also do not forget to pop into the clearance rack as there just might be something in there to tickle your crafting fancy!

See you tomorrow…..YIPPPPPPEEEEE – a new catalog and Sale-A-Bration….the SWEETEST time of the year! Stay warm and let’s all have a wonderful New Year!

Product Share time!

It is that time…time to share with you a Product Share features goodies from the new upcoming catalog that makes it’s debut on Wednesday, January 3rd.

If you are not familiar with what a Product Share is let me shine some light on it for you!

It is a great way to get a taste of the “new kids on the block” from the new catalog without having to buy a whole pack.

This way you can “go to the table”….and “take a bite” without having to be “stuffed” with the cost of purchasing all of the products in full sets. Works for me and I know that it works for you!

Below you will see the offerings I am offering for this new catalog. For those of you that are new to Product Shares…the offering (Share #1) – the swatch books are in my opinion a must have for both the “crafter” and the “demonstrator”

WHY??? This is soooooo easy – these little books are lifesavers. They not only give you an actual sample of the new papers…but on the flip side they are chocked full of information….the colors that coordinates with the DSP, the item number, the price….you can see that it is a fabulous tool.

I honestly can not image creating without these swatch books as the make creating fun and a lot less messy as you do not need to pull out large sheets of your DSP to see it it will work with what you are working with. I have a bunch of these already to go as I have used my pre-order to make the books up…so they will be ready to ship.

There is a NEW Ribbon (page 5) of the new catalog that I have NOT included in the share as it is not available to order at the time that the catalog goes live. I did not want to hold up any orders as the last time I called Demonstrator Support they have no information as to its availability with a confirmed date.

Please know that as soon as it becomes available I will offer it and let you know. It will be super easy to send in an envelope…..

If you are interested in a Product Share, please email me and put in the subject line – PRODUCT SHARE so I can SPOT IT and start to group the orders together. Please confirm the Product Shares that you wish to purchase as well as your address…..as I copy and paste to create labels and this saves me a ton of time (thanks in advance) 🙂

I will not be able to send you a Pay Pal Invoice until the Catalog goes live on January 3rd so please do not be looking for them until that time. As many of you know, I take great pride in my Product Shares and I turn them around in a jif as I GET IT….you want them and you want them as soon as you can get your hands on them!

With the catalog going live on a Wednesday, I will be able to order that day and receive the product on Friday…..(I LOVE IT when the timing happens like this) and I will have the weekend to get them together for you! Your Pay Pal invoice will be in your in box that morning so as soon as you pay for your share…I will get the ball rolling!

As always, please feel free to email me if you have any questions and I will do my best to get back to you in a timely fashion. Unfortunately I have been a bit MIA but my dear Dad had to have an unexpected surgery on Tuesday in Baltimore so I have been going back and forth each day.

The great news is…..he is doing fantastic and even though he will not be with us for the Holiday…he is right were he needs to be and we are thrilled with his progress. I am tellin’ you…..there is never a dull moment on Randall Lane!
