Wow…it feels like it has been days since I have created a card and I must say, it feels great! Today I have a fun card for you that has a great layout. I decided to go with a “specific” layout so you can easily see that you can change the paper choices and also the stamp choices…you will always end up with a great card.
This is a short post as it is super late as I am typing this. I truly feel like there has been this “Gray HICCUP Cloud” over me this past week. Last night I spent hours on the phone with Apple Support with a computer problem (darn they are nice…and OH SO PATIENT)
You know me by now, I adore BIG sentiments and this stamp image is what me hit the BUY IT button when this stamp set came out. I will say, another thing that I adore about the stamp set is the fact that there are also some great sentiments to stamp on the inside of the card. (I hope that SU continues to do this) 🙂

I hope that this card can give you lots of ideas to JUST GO BOLD and let the DSP shine and let the sentiment shine. Take a look at the card and break it down – it is SUPER clean and SUPER easy.
Again, this is a card that is a great example of how using the basics works…every time! Your Trimmer, Big Shot, Layering Framelits, Classic DSP = A great card.

I think that the Warmth & Cheer DSP Stack has been a huge hit. PLAIDS are so on trend and this paper stack is filled with some handsome BIG & BOLD Plaids, and that make me smile!
Another quick thing I want to point out is to try different prints together. The plaid and the stars have very different feels but together, they work.

I know that the “TIME THING” gets in our way…but IF you have extra time on your hands (CALL ME, I would LOVE TO HAVE YOUR HANDS) but seriously, look at your scraps of DSP and cut them into specific shapes and then they will be ready when you want to create. Try mixing up all different types of shapes…you will be happy with the end result 🙂

In closing, for those of you that are affected by Hurricane Matthew, please be careful. We all know that these types of storms can be just devastating. I ordered something on Tuesday from a small business in Florida and I received an email from them saying that they were closing Thursday at noon and not reopening until Monday.
They went on and said that there are sorry for the inconvenience but their employees are priceless. I thought – WAY TO GO…..safety BEFORE anything! I hope that the storm weakens and the Southern Eastern States will not experience too much damage.
I hope to see you tomorrow – BOO….a FUN BOO!

Good Tuesday! I have a super simple tip for you that probably many of you already use but you know me…just in case – here you go!
I think that we all have experienced frustration in cutting a piece of paper and having the edge of it not “perfectly clean”! Well….there are sometimes some conditions that make this happen.
- Your blade of your trimmer is dull.
- I find that if I do not cut quickly it sometimes “drags” which causes not a clean edge
- There are simply some paper colors that we have that the fibers seem to be different which in turn have a “not so clean cut” (I hope that this makes sense…am I out there on my island with this or does someone else feel the same)
Below in the pictures you will see the block and I would definitely have one at your work area! It is something that I grab just about daily to do those “type A” touches to my projects that I am working on!

Where do you get it? There is no need for me to link this one to Amazon as you can go to a dollar store, Walmart….probably even a grocery store. I admit, I get my nails down and the guy that does my nails thinks that it is a hoot that I use this for paper!
I might get a fresh on every 6 months but he is so funny – he will say…“Miss Susan – do you need a new block today for your cards?”. He graciously gives me one when I need it.
The one that I have has 3 sides of different weights of sanding paper and then the 4th side is just foam (you will see that this side is great to poke your piercing tool in it) All it takes is a quick back and forth and PRESTO – clean edges!
Stampin’ Up! used to sell a product similar but since they stopped…my nail place takes care of me!

That’s it for you today….I hope that this tip helps and if you go to the store, pick up some and tie a bow around one and give it to a stamper friend…even if they have one – it is a simple act of kindness that you know will make their day!
Remember, tomorrow is the LAST DAY to take advantage of the World Card Making Day SALE!

CLICK HERE to see the offerings! Have a FABULOUS day! Until tomorrow….get ready to POP!!!

Good Morning and sorry for the late post but it was late when I landed home….I gladly put the truck and trailer back at the barn….walked up to the house~ in the door – and took a deep breath and said…it is great to be home!
These are the pictures that you were to see on Saturday. Good news? You still get to see them and you still have time to order this kit at the sale price of $20.25. This is really a great deal and this would also make a PERFECT gift to give to a fellow stamper or even someone that does not stamp and you would like to have a “fun afternoon together”
It would be perfect for a beginner as it is soooooo straight forward and you would have fun helping a friend see the love and passion that you have. After all of the pictures I will share with you a bonus if you order this kit.

This kit pairs with a great and practical stamp set, the Designer Tin of Cards Photopolymer (so original!!) and I could kick myself that I have not inked this up until now as the sentiments and font styles look fabulous!
You will see in the below pictures how clean and crisp the images are and I also love the fact that this stamp set has many small images – I love small images as there are times that we have a space that needs a little something more and these little hearts, squiggles…flourishes etc would be perfect for “filler” 🙂

Here you go….the parade of pictures and I did them just like the directions said (that’s a 1st) and I am not one that usually likes sequins but I have a “change of heart” and I will say, I really like them. They give a bit of bling that still is classic (I was actually proud of myself in trying to work with them)
The kit DOES NOT included the DSP that you will see on the backs of the envelopes….but at the end of the pictures you will see how YOU can get them.

Sorry for the color in the next 3 pictures…..these just do not do this super cute card justice – but I think that you know the vibrancy that this paper is and can visualize the beauty of this fun card!

O.k. – cute….right???? How can you go wrong with this super practical kit. Remember, this sale price is only good until October 5th. If you order this kit from me, I will send you the DSP paper for you to jazz up the back of the envelopes as shown in the above pictures. (sorry – I must have not taken a picture of the one card)
For those of you that live in my area, I will be having this class on Sunday, October 23rd and feel free to email me and I can give you the details….this really is a fun tin to put together and also fun do with a friend. It will be a “drop in and work at your own pace”…this is what is great – having (4) different cards, there will be (4) different stations for you to work with!
Below is the list of items that are on sale or if it is easier for you to click here – you will see them in my online store.

If you are interested in having a class with this tin and live far away…..email me, I have an option for you. You can see that this would be a super easy and fun way to grab several friends, have fun and make 16 cards…and you get hostess rewards!
When I typed this post this morning I saw that there were a BUNCH of comments from yesterdays post…I am going to grab a cup of coffee and read them and try to catch up on emails. All in all, it was a great time being with Hannah even though things did not go as planned – the end result is that I am safe, Stanley is safe and happy and I learned a great life lesson….kindness does matter!
