Wham …Bam…Cute & DONE!!!!

Pun Intended Stampin' Up! Hostess Stamp Set, Clean and Simple Stampin' Up! Card, Susan Itell - simplestampin

This is such a SUPER fast and easy card to whip up but it has a BIG fun factor. I do admit, the pictures do not do it justice….I am sure you know what I mean – there are times that you just need to hold it in your hand and see for yourself how something so simple can be so effective!

This fun card was made from the hostess stamp set below – FUN…right???? If you are interested in hosting an event, a cyber event…..or even a qualifying order of $150+ will allow you to purchase this adorable stamp set for just $9.50! 🙂

Pun Intended Stampin' Up! Stamp Set, Hostess Set

There really is not much to say about this card other than EASY and CUTE! It is a 4 1/4″ Square Card and then the mate is a 4″ square. The Crushed Curry DSP is a fun addition that is just the “right touch” needed. This card is a great example of “less is best”

I was going to use the aqua painter and watercolor  a bit but then I thought….NOPE – not needed…..sometimes it is hard to leave things alone….but today I did just that! – BARE to the BONES!

The envelope punch board helped me make a custom envelope with ease. I still scratch my head with how this piece of plastic could be such an amazing tool. I admit, I had it for many, many months before trying it as I honestly was afraid….but I tool some time, some scrap paper and just tried! That is all you can do….right?

I know that this card is going to bring a HUGE smile to a very special person…it is simple things like this that make a difference – don’t feel bad for not taking a bunch of time to make something. Sometimes it is the simplest things in like that mean the most!

I have a HUGE treat for you! I participated in a PALS Card Swap….and I have some BEAUTIES for you! I am excited to share them with you! Being in this group is so much fun, Ronna (a Pal) put it together and I think there were 15 of us – so get ready!

Have a fabulous day….and until tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Sabina!

Stampin' Up! Biggest Birthday Ever Bundle, White Heat Embossing, Susan Itell - simplestampin

Happy Thursday and I have a HAPPY card for you today and I admit, I have been itchin’ to make this card! (Below you will see the picture from the catalog that my inspiration came from, pg. 21)

I used the color palette that the super amazing, Mary Fish came up with for this weeks Pals Paper Art Challenge! I hope that you will pop over to the site and see what the other designers came up with and then YOU make a card using these colors (or something similar….just have fun!)

PPA-313-Aug11

Doesn’t this picture of samples just FUN!!! I knew that with my first go-through of the catalog that this bundle would make its way to Randall Lane….A FUN classic that I will use for years and years! Birthdays are FUN TIMES to make FUN CARDS! The other thing that I like about this bundle is, it will go for both young and old…you just cannot go wrong with the “B-day Classics”

Annual16_p021_a-365

Just look at the detailed framelits ~ Stampin’ Up! is just getting better and better in making more intrigue dies to make the process easier and faster! We all know that “TIME” thing gets us all of the time so whenever we find a time saver – I raise my hand and say “YES, sign me up”

Biggest Birthday Ever Bundle

Hopefully the below picture will make sense to you. Using the stampin’ trimmer…made it a breeze to cut the stripe triangle shape in half. I love these 3 colors together Bermuda Bay, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach and then against the neutral of Tip Top Taupe….a fun color combination!

Stampin' Up! Biggest Birthday Ever, Tips and Tricks, Cottage Greetings, Susan Itell - simplestampin

I know that I use the stamp set Cottage Greeting a bunch…but that is for a great reason ~ it is an A+ Stamp set and the fonts…FABULOUS!

Cottage Greetings

Today I heat embossed the Happy Birthday in White and I adore the POP…I highly suggest to use the embossing buddy to remove any static before you versamark it up and the pour the white powder over top! (TIP…..while you are prepping the embossing part – go ahead and turn on your heat tool to get good and hot so when you emboss it ~ the process will be quicker and your warping will be minimized.)

Biggest Birthday Ever Bundle from Stampin' Up!, Party Hat Birthday Card, Heat Embossing, Susan Itell - simplestampin

Let’s quickly chat about the streamers…I just used the versamark to stamp them. Remember, you just have to play around with the papers to see if you like it in the versamark or on tone. The versamark dries and will not smear! I think that it is a fun effect. 🙂

The envelope bunch board was my lifer-saver in making  a fun envelope! Just follow the direction on the board to coordinate with the size of your envelope….PRESTO!!!!!

By all means, you would never have to stamp the hats in (2) colors like I did today, I just wanted to give it a try and it worked, it was actually FUN! Just think of all of the different colors you could use or you could easily use a DSP to cut it out.

Bermuda Bay, Peach, Flamingo

I added on the top part of my Blog a header for the Holiday Product Share….I think that this will be easier for you to click and take a look. Please remember to email me with your address to take part in the 1st wave once the catalog goes live on September 1st!

Have a fun day…do something fun…make some memories but stay cool if you live in the “HEAT WAVE” …it is HOT in Maryland!

Pals Blog Hop – “Cut it Out”

Wel2016badge-lagooncome to the Pals Blog Hop for August 2016.  We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects using our favorite Stampin’ Up! cutting tools. There are so many wonderful punches, framelits and edgelits available that help make papercrafting more detailed and fun! We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Clean & Simple Stampin' Up! Card, PALS Blog Hop, A Little Foxy DSP Stack, Susan Itell-stampinup

I love this day of the month…the day that PALS from all over HOP – HOP – HOP.…so I hope that you have fun being inspired with 24 great ideas! Do you ever stop and say….“WOW – there are so many ways to do things….so much inspiration out there” This is one thing that I love about being a SUD….sharing and helping others see that THEY CAN DO IT!

Today I have a super simple and super sweet card that you could easily change up the sentiment but I ADORE this sentiment and you betcha that you will see many cards made with this stamp set! With today’s theme…our favorite cutting tools….I think I nailed it!

Stampin' Up! Foxy Friends DSP Stack, Subtles DSP Stack, Bella and Friends Stamp Set, Susan Itell - stampinup

The tools that I used are my daily stampin’ friends – I think that you will all agree that these are KEEPERS!

  • Big Shot – Our MAIN MAN of the stampin’ room and then I used an Embossing Folder, Large Polka Dots
  • Stampin’ Trimmer – THE BEST….look at the thin cuts you can make and you can cut and/or score

I hope that you can see that it is fun to play with the great DSP that we have~ Sometimes it is fun to throw out all ideas out of your head and just say….“I am going to PLAY and I AM GOING TO HAVE FUN!” This is exactly what I did for this card today! This is a unique paper stack that screams fun and versatile.

A Little Foxy DSP

You all know by now that a card would not be a card from me without a fun envelope! Again, I used my trimmer to make the 1/4″ strip and yes, I like to use the right hand side of the trimmer when making thin cuts.

Oh no….I almost forgot another tool that I used a bunch and one that I know you all are not crazy about BUT….it’s really not scary – it is a lifesaver as you all know how frustrating it is to have a crooked sentiment….now that DOES make me sad! I stamped the sentiment on a 1/2″ strip of paper and then in the next picture you can see that I triple stamped it!

Holiday Product Share Time!!!

Simple Stampin Product Share Holiday 2016

Woot-woot….it’s the time of the year when a new catalog comes out and for you to take part in a Product Share! The catalog will not be available until September 1st, but I have already taken advantage of a pre-order and I have complied together a group of shares that I think you will like!

There are some “repeats from the past” as they are always “true blues” and you seem to love them….more specifically I am talking about share #3 (the DSP STACKS) and Share #4 (the CARDSTOCK in a RING).

If you follow my blog regularly and darn I hope you do…you know that I use the DSP Paper Stacks a bunch, page 174 in the catalog. These are in Product Share #3 and as I say…I am the first to realize that if you were to purchase each collection; Brights, Neutrals, Regals, Subtles and both In Color Collections that your piggy bank would be hit hard…this way you can see and play with all of them – get a feel if this is a product that you will use before purchasing a whole pack! You will get a 1/2 sheet of each….wowzers, you will have not reason not to have a coordinating paper!

The Share #4 , the Ring of our Cardstock….I honestly keep thinking that you will not want these again because I think that everyone already has one…but yep – I get emails often for them so I keep them at every share! I cannot say enough about both of these, this is why you see them AGAIN….they make a PERFECT gift for someone that loves Stampin’ Up! or for that hard to buy for person!

Now let’s get to the GOOD STUFF….the SHARES…the GOODIES….darn, I wish that I could share with you the whole catalog but I cannot until Sept. 1 so for now, sneak peeks will have to do! I can share with you the front of the catalog so if I were you ….I would  put on your readers and play I spy!!!!

Share #5 Ribbon  – $16.00 – We sure do love when new ribbon rolls out and here are the offerings..For those of you that are new to my shares, this is how I package them. I get it….I like to have my products nice and nest without wrinkles. You will get 2 1/2 yards of each of the goodies you see below! 🙂

***I do want to point out that Stampin’ Up! does have many Bakers Twines in the new catalog, I decided not to put them in the shares because they are so affordable for you to purchase and also it has a higher risk of tangling so the moral of the story is…. you know how I feel about Bakers Twine, simple – YOU NEED IT.

I want to chat about the box…this is a FABULOUS box and you can see how I “jazzed it up to show you” – there is an acetate sleeve that slides over the box which makes it PERFECT to add a strip of 3″ X 12″ paper to decorate it in a jif!  Just think how wonderful it will be to have these for all year around (a gift card would be super sweet)
