by Susan Itell | Dec 1, 2013 | Christmas, Super Easy |

I wish that you could see me when you open up this post as I have a BIG smile sharing this super cute card with you today as I call this a “Susan kind of card”!!!
Have you ever sat down and thought, I just want to do something so simple, yet so fun and be able to make “multitudes”!?!? Well…today’s post is for you!
Let’s take a dive right into this super easy and adorable card!

- I am going in “reverse” today and start with the envelope! You know by now that I absolutely love the note-card size of 3 ½” X 5” and Stampin’ Up! has this size in the Crumb Cake color! Better yet, it is on SALE …just until tomorrow! 40 cards for just $3.85 is WOWZERS!
- The liner was a cinch and I thought the stripes were very fun and whimsical for this card – it is from the Season of Style Paper Stack Pack and that has been a HOME RUN this season – with the help of the envelope liner framelit and Mr. Big Shot – this envelope came together in a snap! You can line (2) envelopes with one piece of paper….I say WOOT-WOOT!

- Let’s get to the card! A sheet of paper will produce you (2) cards with scraps left over for other projects! The finished size of the card is 3 ½” X 5”

- Stamp these adorable guys with Black Staz On Ink cause we are going to have fun with the Aqua Painters! To me, water coloring is one of these things that you simply get better the more that you do it! I have always marveled over stampers that “master” . The ink colors I used were Cherry Cobble, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and that dear little nose in Pumpkin Pie (how appropriate it at this time of year!)

- The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes and if you do not have this stamp set, you need to hit the SHOP NOW button right now and get it! This is definitely on my “A list” of stamps to have! These simple 3 words are perfect with these 2 little guys!

- Did you notice that I cut another framelit in Old Olive the same size and cut it in half before matting it to the image and then used the next size larger and used the Stampin Chalk Marker to “dot” around for the WOW factor – so simple…so effective…so wow!

by Susan Itell | Nov 30, 2013 | Christmas, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Super Easy |

I am totally mixed with over loading you with Christmas ideas but then again I think that we are all going to be in a tailspin with having a shorter time between Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Today’s card was an inspiration I received from Pinterest and I loved the concept of using a negative for a focal point to a card!
Can you say EASY-PEASY!!! This is a card that truly uses minimal products and also to me at least, produces a classic WOW factor!

Let’s go!
- Using an all time favorite of mine, the Naturals White Card Stock making a vertical card, scoring it at the 5 ½” mark! I cut another piece at 4” X 5 ¼” to do a pop (this is not necessary but to me the layering is what gives this simple card a true and simple punch!)
- Pulling out my main Croppin’ Man, Mr. Big Shot, I used the Circle Framelits to make the focal part of the card! (This was the 4th from the smallest) THIS IS ON SALE this week for just $20.21~

- The sentiment is short and sweet and it is a “Hostess Stamp Set” called Warmth and Wonder – this stamp set is only available when you are a hostess and it is just $10.00! I did use the stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement, after all – why would you go to the trouble in making a card, only to have the sentiment crooked!

- Now to the envelope, making a matching envelope is a cinch with the envelope punch board! I love that I can use this paper to make my own envelope and then using the Seasons of Style Designer Series Paper to make a matching liner is the perfect finale to my card!
Well, what do you think? Isn’t this the sweetest card! I know that this simple card would warm anyone’s heart!
Please remember, you do not have to be “fussy” to get the message across! Reality is, we are all short of time and sometimes we need to find a simple yet classic style to get the job done!
Let’s touch on the “hostess thing”…do you feel that because I live in Maryland that you would not be able to have a function with me?
THAT IS NOT TRUE!
Please email me and I will be happy to get you a hostess code and you can collect orders from your family and friends and you will have a successful event and be able to order this “keeper” of a hostess stamp set!
Please email me if you are interested in being in an “on line” Stamp Club! This way, you can be a hostess once a year or twice a year depending if I get 6 or 12 people and then I will send you a PDF with ideas “just for you” on that given month!
Taking turns on who is hostess, you will be able to reap the benefits for being part of the Club!
The end of the year means the beginning for new starts…
I am super excited to be able to offer to my blog more benefits and opportunities for you! In a million years, I would have never imagined that I would be blogging and I would be lovin’ what I do sooooo much!

In this season of Thanksgiving, I thank YOU for your support and growth of my Stampin’ Up! fun!
I truly would love for YOU to hop on the PALS train and be part of this fun! Please email me and I will be happy to call you and chat about how fun it is and also answer any questions you might have!
Have a great day, make lots of memories if you have family still at you home….and
Until tomorrow!
by Susan Itell | Nov 29, 2013 | 3-D Projects |

I hope that yesterday was a super special day filled with family, memories, laughter and lots of great food!
I had originally planned to have this post for you yesterday – but honestly, Wednesday night was super busy and fun with family….my family said to me…."Mom – no computer!!!!"
So a day late but you are going to LOVE this post as you will have a blast making these gems for all different holidays, birthdays and I am going to make them for my daughters sorority when they have their big fundraiser(a dinner and auction for Breast Cancer!!!!) as favors for their place settings!
I will do my best to walk you through this but please, as always – I am an email away and I will be happy to email you back or better yet, call you if you have specific questions! I realize that these "sour cream" containers have been around for a while….but then again – the oldies are the goodies!
I have shared with you in posts how I have been lovin' the Thankful Wood-Mount Bundle...and even though "Turkey Day" is behind us….i just want to show you how versatile our products are! These adorable gems were made from the "paper for the napkin holders" and I will say – they were a huge hit at my house yesterday!

So cute,so fun…so meaningful and in each one is an inspirational message as well as some yummy chocolates! I printed out my messages on computer paper, simply cut it into strips and then tucked it in the adorable "sour cream container"!

Let's get to the fun…remember, I cut the paper from the "napkin" part that was in the kit and you will not believe how much paper I still have to work with!
- The paper size is 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" and put sticky strip on 3 sides (the 2 long one and the 1 short side – see photo)

- Fold over to make a "tube" – basically it looks like a toilet paper roll! Next squeeze one end shut!

- The next step I did is TOTALLY optional and it does not alter the end result of the project "staying together" – but I will say that I like the look! I took a paper crimper and crimped about 3 turns!

- Now here is the part to make it all come together! After you put the candy etc….in it – take the project and turn it and squeeze the opening to create the "sour cream" container effect….again – crimp the edges if you are using the crimper!
- To decorate these gems I took pieces of Very Vanilla ( 3 1/2" X 1") and stamped the very appropriate message of "Give Thanks" from the Best of Autumn Stamp Set! So simple, yet so perfect! I used Soft Suede to stamp my image! A quick snip of the end to make a banner effect is all that is needed!

When you go to adhere this…just use glue dots…so fast! I took a piece of ribbon at 6" in length (sorry, I know that this is a discontinued ribbon) and again used glue dots – this makes it go soooo fast!

Here is the end result – I bet your smiling!
These are fun to make and you can see that I piled them in a HUGE decorative Wine Glass that I have…when you have people over…you can have them "pick one" to enjoy!

Another great idea to fill these up with would be "conversation ice breakers" – this is something that we used to love to do when the kids were little to get them to tell us some of their memories that were special to them!
I hope that this inspired you and that your head is spinning on how you can make these up for all different occasions! I think they are adorable!
Have a fabulous day, I am lovin' having the kids home and I love the fact that I make most of my gifts and do not have to worry about the crazy crowds at the stores! To me…
My 2 hands creating works of art from my heart and ordering from the internet works for me! I will be sharing with you some super cute gift card holders!
Until tomorrow!
by Susan Itell | Nov 27, 2013 | Christmas, Super Easy |

I know that this card will bring a smile to your face! Can you believe that Christmas Day is just 4 short weeks away! This festive card comes together very fast and it would be a great card to make many of!
The way I look at it is….if you are already cutting…why not keep cutting!!! The color combinations are endless and this is one of those “keeper” layouts that can be used over and over with different stamps!
Think about how beautiful it would be with flowers in the center! I did use the “insides” of the squares to save paper and stampin’ dimensionals are the fun pop factor!
Here you go! I had that pencil and ruler handy to give you the measurements, as I know this makes you smile! CASE away and please, send me pictures of your creations! I truly love to see what you’re up to!

- The Card Base is a 5” X 5” square card. Cut the next layer at 4 7/8” square (this step could be eliminated but I do adore the white on white effect!

- The center stage snowflake is from the Festive Flurry Stamp Set and great news – this comes as a bundle so you can save 15% right off the bat! I say WOOT-WOOT!!!

TIP ALERT: many people say that they have a hard time getting the pearls off…simply take the end of your paper snips or use your paper piercing tool to gently lift the pearl and adhesive up! It just take time and patience!

Have fun making this card….it’s a keeper one and one that I know you will make over and over! Please email me if you have any questions and please continue to tell your family and friends about my blog!
Tomorrow’s the big day! Are you ready?
I started to get a bit nervous but then realized that it is not worth it! All that matters is that we as a family are together! I am ready – I am just an over achiever!
Have a great day…make a list to help you make sure you have not forgot anything for Thanksgiving Day and be thankful for all that we are able do and thankful for your family, friends and health….one thing I know for sure is…
I am thankful for you!
Until tomorrow!

If there is something good…why not keep it going! Here is # 2 of this fun stamp set that I focused yesterday! Why haven't I used it before…..it is super-duper!
Wow…it was so fun to see the comment come in yesterday with asking you what your favorite Turkey Day foods are and I was soooo happy to hear that there are many Pork and Sauerkraut fan out there!!!
I will say another food that kept coming up was turnips! I adore them and I truly have forgotten about them – thanks for the culinary enabling and yesterday I did the final BIG wham of the grocery store along with everyone else in my town…they found their way in my basket!

Confessions of an honest demonstrator…Until yesterday, I had not used the Friendship Preserved Stamp Set and I was so happy with the end result that I decided to use it again before it went back to its home on the shelf!

The Color combination for today’s card came from the Color Coach…when you are in a rut or just want something a bit fresh and out of “your regular” go to…I say Color Coach to the rescue!
I wanted to use the In Color Summer Starfruit and when I looked up that color in the Color Coach – it guided me to pair it up with Elegant Eggplant and Smoky Slate! Sounds great to me!

Still trying to showcase products that are on the Super Holiday Sale besides this stamp set…the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder is also on sale! If you are like me…you forget about this little gem and look at the fun texture it brings!

The Whisper White piece is 5 ¼ X 4” and then it is so easy to see where you want the embossing to go!
Put these simple tricks in your “memory bank”!!!
I started this card with the Smoky Slate Pre-cut and scored card bases that Stampin’ Up! has for a limited time! To me, this time of the year – ease and convenience is of the essence in many ways and being able to pull off the shelf a precut – pre-scored card base is a win = win for me! Please click here check out the 7 different colors they come in!

Stamping the “hello” stamp in Summer Starfruit and then using the Windows Frames Collection Framelits a quick run through the Big Shot and BAM – done

I did the same with the Elegant Eggplant card stock and then simply cut the shape in half before matting them behind the stamped image! Remember odd numbers always work with balance
The Summer Starfruit satin Stitched ribbon is the perfect finishing touch to the card…..I like the way it looks right about the embossed part!

Thank goodness we have the designer series paper in all of the color palette's! WOW – it makes it so easy to go to the color you are using….like Elegant Eggplant here…see that it is in the Regal Collection = BAM….the Regals Designer Paper Stack is perfect! Works every time!

I hope that this sweet little card inspires you to say "hello" to someone! There is just nothing like going to the mailbox and seeing a handmade card with a familiar handwriting!
Have a fabulous day, pace yourself with all that needs to get accomplished this week….because it looks like there is going to be lots of great foods on our tables from all of the great comments from yesterday!
Until tomorrow!
