Now this is super cool!!!

On Wednesday I shared a post with you with a circle card! I had many responses stating that it was a hit but I found it super funny how many of you left comments and sent me emails about the fact that you missed the envelope! You all are the best!

Well…..as you all know I love my envelopes, I had to do a bit of "searching" to find something fun and different for you!

IMG_3254

You all know that you can make your own custom envelopes using the Simple Scoring Tool….some sticky strip adhesive and voila….your own envelope! Just in case you have never printed of the super quick and always "fool proof" measurements for making perfect envelopes…here you go!

This is from my upline, Mary Fish and she is always so sweet and generous to share her tips and tricks! After all…we all have so much to offer to one another….why keep it to yourself! I have mine in my work area laminated as I use it so often!

IMG_3252

Now to the super cool circle card that really comes together in a snap and it is so much fun with the different colors to coordinate with my card from Wednesday! Here is the website where I learned it from! Fun….right?????

I followed it to a tee and it worked out super-duper! I think I have that little "peak hole" gap in the middle because of using the Scallop Circle but when it is all said and done….a mailing label will easily fill that spot and on the reverse side you could either put a sticker….or simply stamp and image in another piece of paper and adhere it there….that would be super cute!

IMG_3257

I hear from facebook that convention is on full swing and everyone is having the time of their lives! It is not only sooooo amazing of the talent and passion Stampin' Up! demonstrators have but the dedication and inspirations we receive for you AMAZING blog followers is so appreciated!

I have a son that has lived in China for the past 4 years….and WOW – what would I have done without the internet and skype! I am thrilled to say that he is coming home in 10 days ( of course a Mom would count) and has taken a job in the stated for the year! So exciting!

IMG_3258
Thanks a bunch for popping by today and I hope that you try this….it really is a fun and different twist to an envelope and once again….we all want our mailman to smile!!!

It's that time again….Thursday's is the time for a Pals Paper Art Challenge! Below is the sketch to work off of! I hope that you go to the Pals Paper Art Website and create a card an summit it! Anyone can do it!

Doing these challenges was a commitment that I made to myself this year….to try to

S T R E T C H

my confidence and "just do it"! It's fun and it is super fun to see all of the incredible interpretations everyone has!

Have you ever met someone that you instantly knew you admired and connected with? Well, this is who this card is for. Peter is the most wonderful, kind, gentle man from Vietnam that I had the pleasure to meet about 2 months ago and just had his 3rd child and 1st son!

He has been so excited for his wife to have their baby and she was over due … – on Sunday, little Ethan enter the world! I thought is 2 daughters would enjoy shaking this card back and forth and see the confetti shake around!

Here's the scoop on this card! The Stamp Set is Zoo Babies, a fun and unique stamp set that fits the needs for many occasions!

The fun twist to this card is using the circle treat cup! I took the colors in the card and made my own confetti to give the stamped lion image a    R O A R !!! Using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch makes it a breeze!

IMG_3225

The sentiment was a quick stamp in Night of Navy and then popped out using the Modern Label and POPPED with the Stampin' Dimensionals!

Clean, simple, fun and fast is this card… – I know that Peter and his sooooo appreciative family will be touched that I made this card for his new baby boy! Welcome to the world little Ethan …you are a blessed boy to have such a loving family!

IMG_3223

I hope that YOU pull out your stampin' goodies and join the challenge this week….it's fun…it's easy…and it's for YOU!!!!

Until tomorrow!

Round and Round…..

IMG_3219
You know I like to say I love square cards because…."It's hip to be square"…but give me some ideas in what to say with a round card!!!

All I can think of is…."the wheels on the bus go round and round…." – any idea???? Well – I think that this turned out fun….it's different at least!

The Stamp Sets used were Timeless Talk and Lots of Thanks! I have posted before on both of these stamp sets and they are great "fall backs" when needing a quick card!

Timeless Talk

The "fun factor" of this card is that it is a circle! Pulling out Mr Big Shot and using the Scalloped Circle Bigz Die to create the outer fun circle was the focal aspect to this card….the rest came together with the Circle Framelits!

IMG_3217How did I get it to be a card….simple! I poked a hole before adding the "white bike piece" with Stampin' demensionals and simply pushed a brad to hold the (2) scalloped Basic Grey Circle together to create a swing effect!

IMG_3216
The fun finishing touches to this card were the Brights Candy Dots! They are the best….I must admit – I realize that you can use them with brads….but I never do that – I just love the ease of placing them exactly where I want them! Super fast and easy! The little red 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon added that special yet fun touch!

IMG_3218
Cute….isn't it? The last little bit of fun I did was to use something that we all forget about….it the the Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen! This white gem adds a perfect finishing touch and for just $3.95, it's a keeper!!!! Little dots around the scallops was the final fun touch!

Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen

I have been asked by many if I am going to convention…..sad news….no! Since I was on a family vacation last week, I simply could not take off the time from work! I know it is going to be a blast and I am anxiously awaiting facebook chat reports from the PALS!

Email me or leave me a comment and let me know how you like this! My daughter fell in love with it and wants me to do more circle cards!

Until tomorrow…..it's a Pals Paper Art Challenge!

Happy 21st Birthday Aidan!

IMG_3203

Can you remember when you turned 21?

I was at the beach and I can remember thinking…"I AM 21" – WOW!!! Now when I see one of my children and/or friends children turn 21…I think – "WOW-They are sooooo young"!!!

Today is a special day as it is Aidan's 21st Birthday! Aidan is my daughters boyfriend and today is his special day! Happy Birthday Aidan….with many happy and healthy milestones ahead!

Now I know you have probably seen this card many times….as it has been from blog to blog….but then again – I cannot think of a more fun card than this one for a guy's 21st Birthday!

I was 1st introduced to this card from stampin friends and demonstrators, Carol Barr and Jane Rozes! I knew it was a "keeper" and I would one day use it with my own twist!

I "googled" to find a You Tube Video of how to make it and thanks to Tami White….I found the perfect tips but then twisted it a bit to make it my own! Please check out her video as it is great!

IMG_3208

I did follow her great video but I have been wanting to  S T R E T C H myself in using the Core'dinations Paper….and I felt that this was the perfect time! The fun "cheers" came from the Happy Hour Stamp Set!

I used the Early Espresso Core'dinations paper (from the Neutrals Collection) with the Wood Grain Embossing Folder and then gave it a quick "go-over" with the sanding tool to create a super "man cave" effect for a great masculine …perfect 21st Birthday card!
Neutrals Core'dinations

Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

To the inside….super fun….how appropriate with the birthday theme  and card than to "peel off" a beer label and make it a focal point! Inside I tucked some movie tickets as "$21.00" in honor of his milestone! The sentiment from the Perfectly Penned Stamp Set was the perfect font for this fun card!

IMG_3207
Naturally the envelope needed more attention than just stampin' the "cheers" on
the front….so I carried the "wood" theme to the outer flap! Sanding
that paper just gives the best texture and feel – just a fun extra touch
for a fun card!

IMG_3210

Enjoy this day and think back to when you turned 21…a fun time and one of those "milestones" we all seem to remember! Today's post is just another reason why I love Stampin' Up! so much….getting the inspiration from other talented demonstrators and then being able to make it fit your needs is simply the best!

Let me know how you like this…it is a fun and super easy card to put together!

Until tomorrow….

Million & One…does it again!!!

IMG_3183

Today’s card will certainly make you feel happy with the fun
and vibrant colors! Isn’t it amazing how using different colors can create a
total different feel!

This type of card would be a great card to use completely
different color schemes – say go with neutrals of several browns and very
vanilla…it would be stunning!

Last week I used this stamp set, Million & One, and even
though there are only (2) stamps on this set…”buy it” as it is simply
beautiful! I just love the “flow” of the typeset!

Million & One

The colors I used for this card are Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky
and Strawberry Slush! The other (2) stamp sets that create the background were
from the Flower Shop and the Mixed Bunch Stamp Sets.

A super easy card to create…just make sure that you fill up
the “stamped area” very well so when you cut it into strips the “white spaces”
are minimized!

IMG_3185

The other TIP I can give you is….when you go to put the
“panels” on the color base…start with the far left and then the far right….then
work the others in out lightly arrange them so if you need to pull them off,
you can do so easily!

After getting the “panels of fun” just right….I added a
piece of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon around the entire panel section before
adding the sentiment part! 3 simple basic pearls made a classic touch to the
swirls of the font!

IMG_3186

 A “doubly
whammy”
for the envelope fun! I stamped my own liner to match the card and then
I also added a bit of bling to the front of the envelope as well!

It is always
nice to make your mailman smile!

IMG_3184

My family just returned last night from a fabulous vacation
in the British Virgin Islands and this card I had envisioned what colors I
would be seeing while away and I thought in advance that this would be a
perfect “thank you” for my friends that invited our family for this special
trip!

It was absolutely amazing and my tank is “charged up” for a
great week ahead! As always, I am an email away and I appreciate your comments
and inspiration!

Until tomorrow…
