“Delightful Dozen” makes it SIMPLE!!!

IMG_3176

Now is this a

clean and classic card or what!?!

I was very pleased with the end result and just think how versatile this would be with switching up the colors that you use!

Fun…simple…classic….just a "BINGO-BANGO"type of card that anyone would love to receive!

As the saying goes…it just doesn't get any easier than this! Please CASE away and make someone smile! There are so many times that we just need to sit and make a card that it is to the point and this is it!

The simple sentiment comes from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set and I love the font style…just a simple yet effective touch…one word…this is all this card needs! I used the Black Staz on Ink to stamp the sentiment!

Delightful Dozen - Clear-Mount Stamp

When you look closely, the other simple yet WOW factor that is super easy is using the needlepoint embossing folder – this is one thing that I forget about it but when I pull it out….it makes me smile!

The center stage paper is the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper ! This is probably my favorite of the new paper – why??…simple = clean, crisp and classic!!!! I also lined the OUTSIDE of the envelope flap with this paper….so beautiful!

The other simple yet effective touch is using the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punches to add that simple flair to the sides of the sentiments! After "curling" it up a bit….I simply placed a classic pearl in the middle of the flower and used a glue dot to hold it in  place! Simple!!!!

Sometimes you get inspirations from others…and this would be this post!!!

It came from the the Stampin' Up's Website….but I added my own twist! I hope you like it and I hope that I have inspire you to make it or even better yet, to have a class or cyber order yourself so you can get the Stamp Set as is a "Hostess only" set!

I love the soft yet elegant look and feel of the card! The Stamp Set is Morning Meadow and at a glance you might think…"This is just o.k. – nothing too special…" but I think that this is a great example of what a fast and special card is!

Morning Meadow

Using just a minimal amount of products, this card was a SNAP to pull together! I think the effect that I love the best is the softness of the Pink Pirouette Flowers and then the boldness of the Strawberry Slush Big Flower!

IMG_3110

The crispness of the black image is the "stand out" as well! The image of this stamp is dainty and the swirls of the image makes it a perfect back drop to put in the sentiment! After "flagging" the ends of the sentiment I popped it up to give it a "stage"

Using the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the ends of the Pink Pirouette Paper gave it a soft and feminine feel! I also took a sponge and lightly sponged the white card stock before adhering them together!

IMG_3109
The envelope received a "double whammy" today! 1st, I lined it with the In Color Designer Series Paper and then I also stamped the lower right corner of he envelope with the beautiful flowers!

IMG_3113
Cards can be sweet and fast…this is a great example! This would be a card that I would make multiple of to have a "stash"…just in case!!! Wouldn't it be beautiful in blues and purples…!!!

I hope today's inspiration let's you think….."I want to have a gathering to be able to get this great stamp set"!!! You can….email me here and we will either find a date that works or I can give you a "cyber code" and you can have your gathering via your cyber friends!

Also, with an order yourself of $150.00 or more…would qualify you for your own hostess $$$ which you could choose this super stamp set….

Have a fabulous day and until tomorrow……

“Million and One” is simply beautiful!

Today is another fun day to do a Pals Paper Art Challenge!!! I invite and encourage you to participate! It is open to everyone and guess what…

THAT MEANS YOU!!!

Today's challenge is a color challenge using these 3 beauties…..Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla! Please go to the Pal Paper Art Website and play along!

To me….this was a fun challenge as I simply love these colors…..so rich and traditional! I wanted to play up a little bit with it and challenge myself not to do something so "4th of July" so here you go….by now you know I love square cards…and I was pleased with the end result!

The Stamp Sets I used were Million and One and Flowering Flourishes! Both "keeper" stamp sets that you will want to have in your collection! Having the Classic Colors of Midnight Muse and Very Vanilla will always produce a clean, crisp and classic card!

IMG_3031
Stampin' Dimensionals are the key factor to the WOW factor of the card! Simple, classic, and clean! You can never have too many stampin' dimensionals on a card!

The Stamp-a-ma-jig made this a breeze…true you would not need it but…..to me – it is SOOOO much easier to already have your square cut ( 2 3/4") and then use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make it perfect everytime!

IMG_3033
Randomly Stampin' the Flowering Flourishes for the back drop made the sentiment be able to be "Center Stage"….this is such a great "filler" stamp! When in doubt….pull this on out! Works like a charm each and ever time!

Bringing the Cherry Cobbler into the challenge…out came the Bitty Punches…the perfect little and subtle touch to make the WOW happen…and with the basic pearl made it happen!

IMG_3032
You know me…I love my envelopes! Making a custom one is super easy! This was a 7 1/2" square scored at 3 3/8" with the Diagonal Scoring Plate and PRESTO….a custom envelope!

The liner was the finishing touch…and it was from the In Color Designer Series Paper…one that is a MUST HAVE….I swear by ALL of the Designer Series Papers!!!!

I hope that I have encouraged you to play with the PALS for the challenge….and I hope that I inspired you with this card! When I come up with one that I really….REALLY like…I make many…and this one I did!

Please let me know how you like this…..you can email me here and also shop from your home right now and the goodies will be delivered to your door! Enjoy the day!

Until tomorrow……

From My Heart…subtle and lovely!

IMG_3017

I often do not use these colors together much as I am more of a "bright color fan" but I absolutely love the way that this turned out!

How this card came together was going to my designer series paper and choosing the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper was the 1st inspiration to this card….I do not use this paper often and I wanted to reach out of my comfort zone a bit!

IMG_3018

One thing that I always do and a TIP that I highly recommend you doing as well is to look at the coordinating colors that match the designer series papers and go from there to create!

The stamp set From My Heart is a favorite of mine and I was super excited that it is carried over this year! Stamping it in Early Espresso and then using my buddy, Mr. Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits….I let them do their magic for the focal point of the card!

Laying them is a super easy thing to do and it always gives it a great end result….again – reach out of your comfort zone!
From My Heart Clear-Mount Stamp Set

Adding the diagonal piece of Summer Starfruit Satin Stitched Ribbon was a great "off set" to create a depth of color! Wanting to use the Linen Thread ( thought the color would be perfect) I pulled out the very vintage buttons and let them have a center stage for the finale of the card!

IMG_3019

The Crumb Cake Envelope seemed to be the perfect blending for this card and also lining the envelope with the same paper was the touch that completed this card!

I hope that this has inspired you to reach out of your comfort zone and play with colors that you usually do not! We all get stuck in what is comfortable for us…and I am glad that I challenged myself!

IMG_3020
I love to teach…why??? Well, that;s simple – I find that we all are famous for saying "I can't do that!" and guess what…YOU CAN! I would love to work with you either in person or via cyber space to help you reach your goals! Please email me and let me know how I can help YOU!

Click here to order any of these products and also I hope that you have enjoyed seeing 1st hand that going our of the box is ok and it can be fun….JUST DO IT!

Until tomorrow…..

I love the "In Colors" and was so excited for the unveiling of them with the new catalog! I was excited to play along with today's challenge as when I was thinking of what to do….it was like a light bulb went off…why not use the Five-Way Flower Stamp to showcase the Five New In Color goodies!!!

Five-Way Flower

This stamp is a must as it can be a simple or as complex as you want it to be! It is a great way to mix and match different color schemes and the end result will always be a happy one!

IMG_3007

I don't know which new color is my favorite…I think it is a toss up between the Baked Brown Sugar and the Strawberry Slush! ( don't you LOVE the names)!!! They are all so yummy and the look super duper with our standard palettes as well!

The Five-Way Flower coordinates super with our punches to make a masterpiece in a snap! The punches that you will need are the Itty Bitty Shapes Pack, a the 7/8" scallop punch, the 1 1/4" Scallop Punch , the 1 3/4" Scallop Punch and finally the 2 3/8" Scallop Punch.

IMG_3009

Loving the Baked Brown Sugar…I chose that to be might "pop" color to highlight my card! To add a bit of interest, I did score 1/2" in all the way around using the Simply Scored Tool to create a simple yet fun look!

How about that cute banner sentiment???…it can be yours when you host a gathering….as it is a "hostess only" stamp and the stamp set is called "Banner Greeting" a super quick and easy stamp set that will finish off a card in a jiffy!

Email me and let me know if you would like to host a gathering or even have a "cyber gather" and I will provide you with a hostess code and you can have a PARTY of your own on your own time!!! Super easy!

Banner Greetings

After doing my stamping and punching…I added a bit of bling with the basic pearls, these always give a special touch! TIP  – I did "DOUBLE" up the stampin Demensionals on the one flower…I thought it gave it a bit of pop!
