by Susan Itell | Jun 10, 2013 | Stamp-a-ma-jig, Thank You |

Good Morning…and let's all have a great week! This is the 2nd of 3 posts using a mixture of the
Oh, Hello Stamp Set and the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set! I want to show you how you can utilize different stamp set to create beautiful cards with total different looks! Today is a feminine feel!
I am being "Super Mom" to one of my wonderful children as he came to me yesterday and said…
"Mom, can you come with me to Raleigh…I would like your advice on an apartment?"
…now how can I say no…it's a good thing I only work 1/2 days on Mondays so I was able to go in yesterday to get my hours in! I love the fact that my 22 year old still wants his Mom's input!
Now to today's post…to start off – find a ruler – I ALWAYS have one handy whenever I work as it is a simple tool like this that relieves stress…let me explain – when I went to stamp the images around the sides of the card base…I 1st took the ruler and drew a line in the middle on both directions!
Doing this made it a cinch to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig and get my placement just perfect! This is a tool that is soooo intimidating – but you really, really need to practice and learn that when you cannot find it – you totally go into a panic…I would not know how to make cards without it!
After stamping this using a tone on tone image from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set, I "sandwiched" the flowers in again using the stamp-a-ma-jig…this time instead of Stamping them with one color…I used the markers in Always Artichoke and Elegant Eggplant…gave them a "huff" and stamped the image in the 4 corners!
I then stamped 4 more of these flowers gems from the Oh, Hello Stamp Set and cut them out using the paper snips…the only scissors to use for tiny areas! These I will tuck around the sentiment area that will give it a bit of depth using some pieces of stampin' dimensionals…

Now to the sentiment….this piece is 1 1/2" X 2 1/4" and then I used the corner rounder to soften the edges and also did the same with the purple matted! I POPPED the sentiment so when I tucked the flowers in I was able to let them be 3-D.
The finale was using the Always Artichoke and the Scallop Trim Border Punch to create a special feminine touch! When you do this…no need to waste paper…use punch the trim border out…cut say…an 1 1'2" and then use the snail to add it to the base!

DONE! Not to bad…right? I used sticky strip to adhere the base portion to the card…why use sticky strip? I feel with all of the layers I have, I want the strongest hold so my card looks as professional as possible!
Had to do something to my envelope as it would not be a "Susan" card without a liner….using the designer series paper in the Elegant Eggplant tones did the trick ( I cannot wait to see the NEW designer series papers) I know…Tuesday will be here soon!

Well…I would say that this is one beautiful card that anyone would love to receive! It actually was fun to do and when I sat down to make a "feminine" card today I had no idea where to go…I just kept "evolving" and I like the end result!
Tomorrow is a "FUN" version on my personal challenge of FFF Oh, Hello and Mixed Bunch Stamp Sets…(Functional, Feminine and FUN)

I told you yesterday that I am very “antsy” ( is this really a word???) about getting by
new goodies by they will be here on Tuesday….patience Susan…patience! I must
say – I am super thrilled with today’s gem!
Last month I shared with you on a post a similar concept but
I must say…I am “tickled pink” with this one! As the saying goes…I am kinda
“killing 2 birds with 1 stone”!
I also am going to do something new and fun for the next 2
days…it is my own challenge and I am calling it the Oh, Hello & Mixed Bunch FFF Challenge…I
will do 3 days of postings using the Oh, Hello Stamp Set & Mixed Bunch Set and each day either
have it be Functional (that is today’s post)…Feminine (a bit of girly-girl
looking)…and one that is Fun (just like it sounds…FUN!!!)
It is time once again to play along with the Pals Paper Art
Challenge and this one is a color challenge…using 3 of my favorites, gumball
green, primrose petals and whisper white! You simply cannot go wrong with pink,
green and white together!

I hope and encourage you to play along with the Pals Paper
Challenge…it is open to absolutely everyone…please check out the website…pull
out these 3 colors…and play along!
I am also using
this as a gift for my niece – remember I did the tone on tone pink Birthday
card a couple of days ago? This is a goodie for her to use…a gift card!

This is super easy and I know that once you try it…you will
be making a bunch of these gems up…just think of all of the people you can give
these to….simply change up the colors…the stamp set…the sentiment and
PRESTO…one perfect goodie!
Here you go…please go to the office store and buy a BIG Post
It Note and make this…you will be smiling from ear to ear with pride that you
did it!
- The base is 9 5/8” X 6 ½” in Primrose Petals
- Adhere the “Post it Note” using the Tombow
Glue…super strong!!!
- The white base on the front is 5 ½” X 4 ¼”…now
draw a faint line with a pencil ¼” up from the bottom to use as a guide.
- Out comes the Stamp-a-ma-jig, a MUST have tool
that we all need to be comfortable with using! Stamp the bottom “arrow” stamp
in gumball green!
- Next, randomly stamp the flowers from the Mixed
Bunch Stamp Set ( I always like odd numbers…) TIP – when I do my stamping and I
have stamps that are going to go “off” the edge…I simply slip a piece of scrap
paper underneath to keep my work area clean!
- Taking (2) pieces of gumball green at ½” X 4 ¼”
I simply adhere it to the white so you have just ¼” showing on either side!
- I use the Tombow Glue to adhere this whole piece
to the front of the project!
- The inside is a piece of white – 4 ¼” X 6 ¼” and
doing the same thing…I drew a faint line as a guide to keep my stamping nice
and straight! Cutting a piece of Primrose Petals just a “smidge” larger than
the gift card was the perfect “framing factor” to pull it all together!

That’s it! This project will be a favorite of yours and I
know that you will use it over and over again! Please feel free to email me if
you have any questions! I love to try to help you reach new goals! You CAN DO
IT…please try this!!!

Ok…I feel like I am going in circles as I feel like a kid frustrated that "my new toys" aren't here – more specifically my "new stampin' up!" goodies! I am so excited to get my hands on them and I have been thinking and dreaming of layouts! Remember…click on the pictures to make them bigger to get the "real feel" of the card!
Naturally I am trying to focus on "brand new products" that are in the new catalog and I know that everyone has seen a ton of layout using the fantastic Mosaic Madness Stamp Set…do you remember I posted that I was sad that Circle Circus was retiring…well this stamp set is a "keeper" just like that one was!

This is truly a very versatile stamp set and it will always give you a fun and fresh end result! Another "keeper" about this is…it comes in a bundle!!! What is a bundle???
A bundle is a fantastic way for you to be able to get 2 items at a 15% discount when you order them as a pair!
It's a no-brainer as they compliment each other and they make your like easier! The Mosaic Madness Bundle includes the Stamp Set and the Mosaic Punch! How fun is that!

I needed a simple and crisp card to send to someone that it was hard to figure out the "right" sentiment to stamp in it…so I decided to use no sentiments and let my own words relay the message to my friend! I love it!
Using a variety of different products brought this card together to make a WOW card in relatively a short time!

TIP – think about this card in this way…it is a beautiful classic card that once you make 1 and you "get it"…this is a super card to make MANY of and it can be done in steps…you could easily remove the ribbon accent of the card and also remove the flower and pearl detail…it is a card that can be made very simple…and then it can be made as you see it that just requires a couple of additional steps…your choice!

As you know I simply have to do something with my envelopes and because I do not have the new designer series paper yet….I had an idea and I LOVE IT!!! Using the bermuda bay to cover the outer flap of the envelope I stamped with the versamark and then used the heat tool to give the fantastic touch to my envelope! Try it….it looks super-de-duper!!!
Have a fun weekend….and I hope that you are able to carve out some time to work on a project! Try this super card out…it is a keeper and you will love it! Remember you can click here to order any of the products and you can click here to send me an email!

I love what I do….and I love inspiring you!
Until tomorrow……

In yesterday's post I shared with you that in looking at the Stampin' Up! Website, I was inspired by seeing a tone on tone card! This is something that I truthfully forget about doing but when I do it – I love the result!
I will give you "head's up" that it was super hard to get good pictures of this card…but by now you know me and my style…if I say I love it…than I really do love it! It is super cute and soooo much better in person – it is really hard getting a good image of the Pink Pirouette paper without it looking washed out!
( CLICK ON THE PICTURES TO MAKE THEM BIGGER…
it looks much better!!!)
There are several things I love about this card…I love that it is a square card – 5 X 5…why??? I really do not know – square cards make me feel like I am getting something special and this is exactly what I wanted my special niece to feel when she receives it as she is one special and beautiful girl!!!
Another thing I love is the color of Pink Pirouette and Basic Grey together….it always looks so fun and classic especially when you throw in White!

Here you go…there are a couple of "must have" tools to make this card be a simple card to make…it really was and we all know how much smoother things go when you have what you need at your fingertips!
- The base is Basic Grey cut 10 X 5 then scored in half for a 5" square!
- Next the Whisper White is 4 3/4 square and then the pink a 4 1/2 square!
- Out comes the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig – the MUST HAVE TOOL for being precise in card making! I 1st stamped the gift in the center…then the 2 outer….then the inner ones! SOOO easy and the effect it gives is super-duper!
- I wanted to continue to use another stamp from this stamp set, Best of Birthdays, LOVE – LOVE it!!! These gems each month are truly a "collectors item" for us…thank you Stampin' Up! for turning 25!!!
- I haven't heat embossed for a long time and I thought…what the heck – this would be perfect…Stamping the image using the VersaMark Pad and then sprinkling the white embossing powder over it….a couple of "flicks" to remove any excess and then "fire up" the Heat Tool and watch the magic happen! SOOOO fun to watch it bubbly up and set!

- Making your own custom envelope is so much fun! For this I took an 8 1/2" square and using the diagonal scoring plate…I scored each side at 3 7/8"…snipped the little pieces….a quick fold for a perfect envelope!
- Now I had a piece left over ….so I added the polka dot "flip side" of the paper to jazz up the outer flap…I know it is another step – but it is sooo worth the end result!
I hope that you enjoyed today's post – it is a special card!I hope that I have inspired you to CASE it as it is a fun card that we have many small stamps that you could do the same concept with!
I keep tracking my "NEW" order from the catalog and hoping that it gets bummed up…I can hardly wait to receive it! Please click here to order your goodies right from your own home…how easy and fun!
Thanks for popping by and until tomorrow……
