by Susan Itell | Apr 21, 2013 | Stamp-a-ma-jig, Thinking of you |

I used yesterday morning to organize my stamps as the discontinued list will be coming out this week ( boo – but that means NEW goodies ~YEAH!!!)…and I thought I would use some stamps that I do not use often…and WOW – I was very pleased with today's sweet card!
The stamp set, Field Flowers, is the focal stamp of this card and the sentiment came from the ever poplular and "A" list to me – Teeny Tiny Wishes! When in doubt – go to this stamp set and you;ll be happy! It is just natural to me to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure everything is right where I want it! It is a time saver and life saver!

One thing that is differnt is that I am using the Note Cards and Envelopes~ remember I used them earlier in the week and I said it is a "sleeper" – I thought I would try to use them more so you can see how sweet this size is but more imprtantly – what a great value! You get 20 Whisper White and envelopes for just $5.95! Click away and have fun!
This beautiful floral card colors are; Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry and Gumball Green! Bold and fun….right? To create a bit of interest and wow factor….out came Mr. Big Shot and the Large Scallop Edgelit to the Gumball Green to give the edge an added touch!

Everything else is pretty straight forward…stamp – layering – then my trademaks "dots" to give it a "feel" ( drives my kids nuts that I do this) – but then….I decided to do something totally fun and different for me! Check out the envelope!

Using the Large Scallop Edgelit again, I used it to egde the bottom of the envelope after using the Tombow glue to adhere a scraps piece of Gumball Green….thru the Big Shot ~ cute! I couldn;t stop there so I used another scrap of daffodil delight …added that and then the fianle was usng the Boho Blossom Punch to "pop" some flowers to give a plain envelope some special attention!
This is such an excting week for Stampin' Up! and I am super excited to get a snnek peak and have the opportunity to purchase some new goodies from upcoming new catalog! It feels like Christmas to me!!! With the incredible Incentive Offer, you too could not only get $155.00 worth of YOUR choice of products for just $99.00 – you will not have to place another order until October but we all know that would never happen!
Please feel free to email me to talk about the options for you! Why continue to pay full price for your Stampin' goodies…be smart and get them at a discount – who doesn't like a discount and remember – overwhelmingly the majority of SUD are hobbiest!
Being a SUD does not mean that you can't still have fun with your Stampin' friends…it just means that you can get your goodies earlier than them….get them at a discount….and potentially get some for free!
The resources that you will have available to you exclusively by becoming a PAL will in itself bring you so much inspiration and joy! Mary Fish's group of PALS are the weath of supprt, fun, inspration and an incredible source to learn more about papercrafting!
Until tomorrow……
by Susan Itell | Apr 20, 2013 | Birthday, Masculine, Stamp-a-ma-jig |

Today is a special day…it is my husband's Birthday and after working a long Tax Season he is doing something for himself and also something that he is passionate about! He is going to a Boy Scout Fundraiser that they are doing skeet shooting!
John dedicates a lot to our local Boy Scout office and I know that this is going to be a great day for him! The other passion that he has is golfing, and something that he put on the back burner while raising our children but now he is ready to get back into it!
Today's card idea was one that I CASED from local Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Jane Rozes! I just loved it and I knew that I was going to use her great card to base John's Birthday Card from…just loved it!

The only Stamp Set used was the Sassy Salutations, one on my "A" list and one that I always feels gives you a fun look! I did use the handy-dandy – Stamp-a-ma-Jig to get my placement of the sentiments just perfect… The red I used was the Riding Hood Red! There literally would have been no way for me to get that in the PERFECT spot that I wanted if I had not used this great tool!
The "green" was punched from the Extra Large Oval Punch using the Regals Designer Paper…then I just used a simple hole punch to make "the cup"! The "ball" was super easy and cute as I first ran a scrap piece of Whisper White Card Stock thru the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Folder…then using the 1/2 " circle punch I POPPED it out! How simple is that!

Using the white to be the background classic look, I accented it with some of the classics…Night of Navy and Crumb Cake. Using the Stampin' Vitamins that I love so much, Stampin' Deminsionals, lifted this super cute card up – (even the golf ball)!!!
There is nobody as special than my wonderful husband in having April 20th be a special day! He is the BEST man in the world and as I say….the BEST blind date I ever was one (well, the only blind date I was on!)
I was sooooo incredible proud of him when he told me that he ordered a new set of golf clubs!!! WOOT-WOOT I thought, I was so glad that he is wanting to take time "for him"…not only is he so deserving of it – it will bring him joy to be outdoors and leave the office behind!
John, hope your day is as special as you are! you are a wonderful and loving husband, the best Dad in the world and truly my very best friend! Many more happy and healthy returns!
I hope you enjoyed today's card and I hope that this is a great weekend for all!

Our family continues to keep Boston in our thoughts and prayers, so sad! As always, I am an email away and I love to help you and inspire you to reach your goals! You all are the best!
Until tomorrow…..
by Susan Itell | Apr 19, 2013 | Super Easy, Thank You |
Ok …it doesn't get any easier than this! Is this a super cute, super clean, super crisp, super fast card or what! If this stamp set gets discontinued I am going to be one sad stamper as this is for sure is on my "A list" and one that I go to often!

The Easy Events stamp set is always a winner! I needed a quick card to send thank you's out for my job and I needed many of them in a jiff! I knew that it needed to be subtle…and I was tickled with the result!
One thing that I did different than usual was that I used Stampin' Ups! Note Card and Envelopes…these are a perfect size and also something that I think gets overlooked in the catalog! For $5.95 you will get 20 note and 20 envelopes….WOW!!! How much easier is this than to have the card stock already cut and scored for you!
As I always do when I use the Aqua Painter Pens I used the watercolor paper. WHY?…simple ~ why wouldn't you use a paper that is meant to have water painting on it so you get the look and feel that you are going for…and more importantly – it always lays so nice and flat!
You know what I am going to use next…if I am using a water color method than I need to use the correct ink…the go to of Black Staz On Ink is the way to go! The colors I used were the new Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron!

To give a little interest with color, I kept it very subtle matting the image with So Saffron and Sahara Sand! LOVED the color combination – very soft! The envelopes were lined with a fun and simple pattern from the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Paper
This was a fun and quick card to make…one that I am going to be using in my Stamp-a-Stack as know how much fun it is to use the Aqua Painters and also I think I am going to use this stamp with a different sentiment for my Breast Cancer Cards for next month!
If you do not have these note cards…put them on your list! Remember, you can click here…order right from your home and your goodies will arrive right to your home! How easy is that!!!I love helping you and being your Stampin' Up! friend…
One thing I am asked all the time….What adhesive do you use for lining the envelopes? 2-Way Glue Pen is my friend…for $3.50 how can you go wrong and I love how easy it is to use and I love how it keeps my paper flat!
Enjoy the day…weekend is in sight!!! WOOT-WOOT…but I have lots of yard work to do…..weeds are popping up!!! I love what I do and I love helping you!
Until tomorrow…..

I
am sure that if you follow many Stampin' Up Demonstrators blogs you will see or have already seen the amazing New Demonstrator Offer that Stampin' Up is offering! I hope that you take time to read why I chose to become a Demonstrator as I am just about to my one year anniversary!
I am a believer in Direct Sales, as I have had many years of Direct Sales experience! Why do I love Direct Sales…easy – you can do it as much or as little as I want!
The Direct Sales Company that I was with for over 8+ years was some of the best times in my life! I missed so many aspects of it when I left … but I was the one that made the decision as it was a personal "life" decision but I knew in my heart that I would one day find myself back into direct sales … I love the "relationships" you build with customers as well as others that share your same passion!
I was first introduced to SU probably 15 years ago…I went with a friend to a monthly class and had a ball. Unfortunately the Demonstrator moved out of state and I simple never took the time to find a new one! I started up again about 3 years ago and it was not until my late Mother was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer that I really embraced the impact of what a card would mean to someone.
During her courageous 3 1/2 months battle with this terrible aggressive cancer, my wonderful Mom received over 400 cards! I stayed with her at a hospital for just about 6 weeks as she was going through surgery, treatments and rehab and even though they were the worst times of my life – they in turn became the best times in my life!
We embraced each other…talked…laughed and she showed me how to be brave and enjoy each and everyday! Leaving my family, my home, my animals I learned a life lesson that YOU can STOP the dailiness of life and it is ok!
My Mom was the "queen of card giving" and this was a hobby of hers that she so enjoyed! As she was receiving this huge wave of cards…she read each and everyone over and over….and was so touched by the out -pouring of so many. She truly cherished her cards and I can say that even though she loved each of them…the ones that were made by her friends were her favorites!
I still have in a bowl in my home the mountain of cards she received as a reminder to me what a simple yet powerful gesture it brings to one! My Mom never made Stampin' Up! Cards…I wanted her to…but to be honest – I think she had a lack of self confidence that she would not be able to do them.
- REASON #1 I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator – I want to show people that EVERYONE has a gift…that EVERYONE can make gifts from the heart! I find that as people get older they have a tendency to loose their self confidence.
I think for a year after her passing, I never allowed myself to mourn and accept that she was not with us. I had an amazing opportunity thanks to my wonderful husband to spend a month away from home with our horses at a Horse Show. Our daughter Hannah would fly down on weekends to show her horses but I was there for a month with one of our great dogs and be able to "take it all in" and think about life! It was at this time that I really looked into becoming at SUD.
I brought all of my "Stampin' Stuff" on my months journey and spent time creating…spent time discovering what a BLOG was ( ha-ha) and now look at me blogging! I can even remember googling "What is a Blog?" ( Is that super dorky or what) I allowed myself to find a style and also allowed myself to look into this as an option to join Stampin' Up!
I kept stumbling on (all of the time) this Mary Fish person…She intrigued me… – I found myself researching more and more about so many wonderful Demonstators. I took a leap of faith and emailed her asking if she would talk to me about SU.Being the incredible person she is, I received a response within hours! She had no idea who I was or what I wanted! THIS is the aspect of Direct Sale sales that I LOVE….when people "get it…they get it"
I do try to answer each and everyone of your emails, comments and questions you give to me, as I know YOUR time is as valuable as mine….and I want to be there for you!
Being involved with Direct Sales before I knew what to look for in what I would want with an involvement with a company like this….
- I knew that I did not want to go to meetings…
- I knew that I did not want to have to carry inventory…
- I knew that I did not want to have to go teach classes…
- I knew that I did not want to have a revolving door of people in my home…
- I knew that I did not want to invest a lot of money…
The things that I did know that I wanted was…
- To be fulfilled…
- To be able to create and inspire people with my passion…
- To have fun…
- To be able to get my products at a discount…
- To be affiliated with a Team that has passion, resources and always generates a positive attitude with an ability to learn and grow…
- To be able to do "what I wanted to do…on my time frame"
- Did I say….to have FUN! I am having fun and I do hope that it shows through my blogging!

After this month of being away, I came home…thought about this some more and then I also kept doing my researching on the company! Everything was so "Moon and Stars aligned" Stampin' Up! gives you such an amazing opportunity to be a part of this amazing and solid company for just $99.00…I agree – sound too good to be true.
On May 6th, 2012 I took a leap of faith…did not tell my husband, my friends, my children….the only ones that knew where my dogs!!!!I knew that I needed to do something for ME….and I can honestly say – I have never regretted a day! The opportunity for yourself is truly "what you want it to be" and the motto of "doing the business YOUR WAY…is soooo true!"
The majority of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are hobbyist – much like myself. I would have NEVER in a million years thought I would be blogging (as I really am challenged with the computer – see my blog header stills says February – why???? cause' I cannot figure out how to change it!!!!!)
At 1st I thought….what the heck am I going to buy with my kit – I already basically own the catalog!!!
IF THIS IS YOU….
than please tell me why???
It is crazy that if you love our products that you do not embrace this opportunity for yourself! Naturally I found products that I did not have and I was sooooo excited to get the 1st box of goodies! After
purchasing my kit and becoming part of Stampin' Up!, I discovered a lot
more.
Even before the UPS man came…I received a POURING of resources from Mary Fish and her PALS community that I instantly felt like I had a family…there were all of these Face Book resources for her group ( 6 in total) and I thought – WHAT THE HECK AM I GONNA DO….I have no idea how to get onto facebook and my kids are going to think I am nuts if I ask them for help!
I learned to take baby steps and try to take it all in and now I am so incredibly happy that less than a year ago, I made the decision to do this for myself….I truly did it for me…no one else and it feels GREAT!
I am now "giving back" to people that are going though Cancer treatments in making cards monthly for them…being able to be fulfilled with my daily blogging….being able to wake up each and everyday knowing that I am inspiring someone….and best yet – being able to go to sleep at night knowing that I am trying to make a difference !
This opportunity of joining Stampin' Up for $99.00 and being able to choose $155.00 on any product is truly an incredible opportunity! What do you have to lose….ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Life is full of options and so do you!!!!
