Happy St. Patrick's Day! I feel L U C K Y for so many reasons…when I heard that I was going to be Mary Fish's Guest Stamper today I was super excited and I knew exactly what I was going to do!!!
Let me 1st tell you how L U C K Y I am to be a part of Mary's PALS – I started following her blog – Stampin Pretty over 18 months ago and I was instantly hooked with her style and commitment to her business! I could hardly wait to wake up in the morning to see what she posted…so last May, I took a leap and became a PAL and have loved everyday!
I have been wanting to use the On Board Sheets to do a card and today this was a perfect time to use them! This product gets overlooked in my opinion and I just love the look and effect it gives! The Bigz Typeset Alphabet is the center stage and it certainly shows the WOW factor! Now I know what your thinking…this is a bit pricy but how about getting it for 50% 0ff or better yet…how about for free…ask me how! The ideas are endless with this set…I love making simple monogrammed notes for a quick and clean gift!
Isn't it simply amazing all of the things our dear friend, Mr. Big Shot is capable of doing! After first adhering the Old Olive Polka Dot Parade Paper to the On Board Sheets…I simply cut them out and voila! Doesn't that give this such a great effect and depth!
I knew I wanted to do a bit more to the focal point of this card so I used the Scalloped Trim Border Punch to give it a fun yet sophisticated flare! A little touch like this adds so much!
Building my shamrock was a cinch using both the small heart punch and the bird builder punch! It is amazing all of the things you can do with paper and punches and I always love seeing the endless ideas that can be created!
My sentiment came from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, these little stamps might be small…but they pack a B I G punch in getting a short and sweet message across – definitely a Stamp Set that I consider to be on my "A list" and then punched out with the Modern Label to give it a stage of its own!
If you follow my Blog you know 2 things I always do…use Stampin' Dimensionals and line my envelopes! Well today is no different! My Mom always loved when an envelope was lined…doing this reminds me of her each day!
Another reason that today is my L U C K Y day is that it is my 50th Blog Post! Now that might not seem like a big deal to you…but to me it has been huge as not only has it been a commitment – it has been a joy to inspire and get to know my followers! WOW…it has been a L O N G week ( but great week!) and I was ready to wake up and create! Yesterday was exciting as Stampin' Up! gave us a sneak peak at a product from the new catalog that will be out before you know it! WOOT-WOOT!!!! So….I decided that I wanted to use the 7/8 Scallop Circle Punch to showcase this card so you can get the idea of how this new Stamp Set, A Round Array Stamp Set will look!
I think this card is adorable and I did get my inspiration from the Annual Catalog on page 142 – then gave it a Susan twist! I will do a post next week on some of the tricks in making this card because it was actually super easy and the end result came out Bingo-bango!!! The Stamp-a-ma-jig played a key factor! If you were like me…you were SCARED TO DEATH of this tool…but trust me – it I can do it YOU can do it! It will become your best friend very quickly!

I just had to use a touch of ribbon and the So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon was the perfect choice! Doesn't this color make you happy…another thing that I adore about this ribbon is that it is super easy to work with – make a perfect knot that is a great simple statement each and every time!

Lining it with fun polka dots
from the Subtles Designer paper was the finishing happy touch! Next week when I post about the "ins and outs" of this card….I will share with you the dimensions as it is an odd size! Naturally, I used Stampin' Dimensionals all over this card and I know you agree….this MAKES IT!

This card is for YOU…a super special "Thank You" from me in being a HUGE inspiration to me with you unending comments and inspirations you have given me with my blog and Stampin' Up! projects!
This past week has been WOW!!! The traffic and wonderful comments & emails to me from the Blog Hop have truly touched me…I THANK YOU!!! Being a part of the PALS group is wonderful, what a great group of fun and inspiration all within your computer!!! Sounds funny to talk about cyber friends ( I really am not a cyber nerd!!!!)
The Mixed Bunch Stamp Set is the magic to this card! Isn't it just fun and fresh! Just love that you can have a punch right at your finger tips that will make you look like a pro…the Blossom Punch does the magic for you! That little stamp that I have used in this card…it is perfect to use as a "filler" when you need one…simple!!!! ( I have it on my blog banner)
This is another set that is on my "A List"….so versatile! You have
heard me say about an "A list" – this is why you need to be a Stampin'
Up! Demonstator…..your "A List" will always be complete cause' you get
it at a discount or better yet you could actually get it for free. I
would love for you to be a PAL of mine…so easy…and do you know well over 80% of demonstrators are demonstrators because they just want to buy the product! That certainly was me!
The sentiment is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set, this has a fun flair to the curls and frills of the typeset! It cannot be anymore straight forward than this! The colors I used were Raspberry Ripple and Pretty in Pink….I just LOVE pink – what a fun color and it reminds me of my beautiful daughter!
After doing the Stamping and punching….I added a special touch of a flower brad ( too cute, right!) then all I needed was the Stampin' Dimensionals ( of course!!!) Lifting up really adds dimension and it totally makes it so from super super – to WOW CUTE!!! Wouldn't you have a huge smile on your face if you opened this up! The finale is the Polka Dot Paper from the Subtles Paper Collection….

Isn't this the cutest little gem! I love to make special little extra touches like this 3-D box and it can be used for dual purposes! One to hold these adorable 3 X 3 gift cards and envelopes but also it could be used for some candies…some little gifts like gift cards and chap-stick…lots of ideas!
I make these often to give as gifts! Isn't it just a perfect and practical little something to give! I have made cards for the holidays…for birthdays – you can add a monogram…the ideas are endless! It "whips" up SUPER quick and uses minimal supplies! I was inspired by a fellow PALS Demonstrator, Beth Beard! Please watch Beth's super informative video on all of the scoop of how easy this is to make!
I often get asked, "How do you decide on what colors to start a project?" EASY – as you know I love liners in my envelopes…I truly usually choose that 1st because I know I can find a perfect decorative paper to be the WOW factor to my project! The decorative paper pack of "Birds of a Feather" was my go to! The other factor that ALWAYS makes it super easy is that Stampin' Up! always lists the colors of paper that coordinate with the paper packs!
Using super basic tools to make this come to life is so crisp and clean! The 1 1/4 " Square Punch is the clean edges that are just a click!!! I decided to use the Black Staz On because I thought I would add a bit of color to the cards but then I changed my mind – I really liked the clean and crisp look of the black!
The Stamps used came from the Spring Sampler Set that is in the Spring Catalog! This is an adorable set and I find that I use the "smaller" stamps like this a bunch as it is element"just the perfect element" to make a statement – same goes with the Teeny Tiny Wishes, this stamp set is definitely in your "A List" to have!
One thing that is a "FOR SURE" when you make boxes and most 3-D projects is to use sticky strip adhesive…why~ because it is our super strong adhesive and most 3 D's need that extra support! As always, I popped the various colors with Stampin' Dimensionals and lined that precious little envelope….The envelope?…where did they come from? Stampin' Up! of course! These little guys get overlooked all the time…(page 160), the square envelopes come on a package of 40 and are super handy to have on hand!
