Mystery is unveiled!

IMG_0770

Good Sunday Morning to you! I am starting to feel like myself….I do not know about you but when I am away and then I come home – I always feel like there are a ton of things that need to be done…but the reality is…they will be there so enjoy the journey!

I am so touched by the amount of comments that you all left on Friday's Post about the (2) things that are different than my normal style….it was sooooo fun to read the comments – you all are the best! Click here to see that post.

  • what I did differently than I normally do??? = I ADDED (2) BOWS….many of you did get this!
  • and why I did it??? = I DID IT BECAUSE AT THE MAKE & TAKE…THEY USED A STAPLER TO HOLD THE RIBBON AND VELLUM….and I am just not a "staple gal", who knows – maybe I'll have a change of heart but I just had to cover it up!

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed reading your guesses….we need to do this again as it is wonderful to see and hear all of the different thoughts!

I hope that I did not offend anyone about not liking staples on a card as an anchor but I think staples should be for holding paper together….(I guess I am a bit old fashion and like I said, maybe I will see the light of this trend!)

This was soooo much fun…..kind of a scavenger hunt – and I just LOVE games! Thanks a bunch!

Let's get to the card today…you can see that I switched it up a bit and I must say – I love it! It is super clean, fun, fresh and I loved Friday's color…but I love this as well!

This should show you that it is fun to change up with color and you can create a totally different mood.

IMG_0779

The mood totally is changed with the Mossy Meadow and the Real Red! To me, great Christmas colors to celebrate the season. I adore the simplicity and font of the sentiment, "Joy" is such a great word and means soooo much….a perfect touch!

IMG_0780

This card would be a fabulous card to "mass produce" as is uses minimal product when you break it down and it goes super fast as I used punches for the circles….WOOT-WOOT – speed tools to the rescue!

Remember to break down your projects if you are going to make a bunch….one day cut your card stock and pop out the circles…next day you could do your stampin' and dashes and dots…hopefully you can see how you can break it down…that's what I do when I make up my monthly kits…this way it stays fun and you do not get stressed!

IMG_0785

As I said in the photo…..I have a new product that I love…the Corrugated Paper, it comes in both Kraft and White and they are 12 X 12 pieces…(they are on page 148) and a little is the perfect touch. I just love the texture it gives and look, the piece is sooooooo thin and look at the impact it makes!

IMG_0778

The Merry Moments Designer Series Paper was the perfect accent to make the envelop special! Plaids, Polka Dots and Stripes always make me smile and I think that this whole card make me happy. I do think using the tone on tone with the Christmas Trees works perfectly.

IMG_0774

I know that vellum can be tricky to work with as you need to "hide" where your adhesive is…and just like the Corrugated Paper, a little goes a long way with the effect. The white gel pen works great on vellum, just remember that it needs to dry well so be patient!

I know that the weekend 2 day post was not here this weekend but I do think that this card today is "stepped up" from the card on Friday! True the card on Friday has the fun bling paper (I broke down and ordered some after making the make-n-take) and that is also why I decided to add it to the product share for the new catalog.

A little goes a long way…..enjoy the day and remember that tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of the weekly deals, you can click here to see the offerings but the great news is….on Tuesday we will get more new weekly deals!

Please do not forget that I offer a "rewards program" that will allow you to earn free stamp sets.Click here  -  Simple Stampin’ Paw Prints Rewards to see my Paws Rewards program and feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Enjoy the day…..I hope that you enjoyed this Holiday Card – until tomorrow!

July 31st….really???

IMG_0764

Is this calendar really right? I cannot believe that another month has ZOOMED by and I needed to sneak a Christmas in July card in for you! I did it in June and everyone was in denial about Christmas being 6 months away but now we are down to 5!

You know that I am working with limited supplies and here is a sneak peak from the new catalog! I know September 1st seems like ages away but it will fly around fast – this is the magical date of when the new catalog will be available for you to order from.

IMG_0768

We made this card a convention at a make and take and I naturally had to add a couple of "Susan touches" to it….the bakers twine bow in multiple pieces and my signature "dots" – here is a game for you….look at this card and tell me:

  • what I did differently than I normally do
  • and why I did it and the 1st person to get it will win this card(well you know me, I'll have to send you more than this card….so look and be quick )

IMG_0767

This is going to be a great stamp set to work with and to have fun with…You could easily adapt the "presents" as a Birthday Present…change the sentiment up – PRESTO, you have a new card!

At convention, we also learned a technique in how you twist the stamp completely around to make a "plaid print" – super fun and easy!

IMG_0766

Do you see the peak of glimmer paper….oh so subtle and I am one that is not a huge fan of sparkle but I have learned from seeing some great ideas at convention on how you can do so in a very subtle way that actually gives a great accent!

Do you see that thin green ribbon….another new goodie that is a must have in the new catalog! You will be able to take advantage of all of the new goodies when I offer my Paper, Ribbon and Embellishment Share – this is the best way to get a "taste" without having all of the "calories – $$$$"

John's plane was delayed 4 hours yesterday and I had already left for the airport (1:45 minutes away)….so naturally I sat and sat (when I checked it was on time but the air conditioner was out in the plane….they had to get off and then finally had to board another plane) Unfortunately we missed Hannah's presentation but we had great intentions!

We are on the road and it will be great to be home but it has been a great time away! I hope that you are as excited about this stamp set as I am….it's a keeper!

Monday Fun!

IMG_8342

This is it…this is the week that your head will be spinning with amazing ideas using new products…seeing and trying to “take the new catalog in”…a very exciting time.

I was thinking about it and I think that this sums it up and when you really think about it…it is so darn true!

When I was a kid I used to LOVE when the HUGE Sears Catalog came out . I immediately went to the toy section and I looked and looked. I would even fold down the corner of the page only to get mad at my siblings as they would straighten up mine and fold down theirs!

I think that it is absolutely fabulous that as adults we can STILL get excited for the anticipate of something NEW! Trust me, I am super thankful that we have been able to see the catalog but until I get my top picks in my little hands….THEN I will be a “happy camper…..oops – a happy stamper”

I know…many of you were happy last week that my personal challenges was back and today here is another one! Again, it is all about color. Last week was super fun and I hope that you will play again this week!

IMG_8340

I think that using paper in all different ways is a KEY way to make a simple yet fun card! Paper is very inexpensive but it sure does make a HUGE impact and there are so many ways to use it to get so many different “feels & effects”

This is what you need to do: Pick one color family and then use (4) different colors on a card. It can be in paper, ribbon…whatever! Today I used the Brights Collection and these are the (4) colors I used.

  • Rich Razzleberry
  • Tangerine Tango
  • Bermuda Bay
  • Daffodil Delight

IMG_8344

This fun card was for a graduation card for a dear friends daughter! She adores bright colors and I simply could not resist! This stamp set, I Think You're Great…is a new set that has 3 great sentiments and 2 fabulous background stamps.

If you click the stamp set in the scrolling store below…you can see a sneak peak of the set. I used a "kissing technique" which was super fun and added instant texture. I did this with the sentiment part and also the daffodil Delight 1/2" circles.

IMG_8348

I POPPED out the hexagons with the hexagon punch and then cut them in half and adhered them together with Sticky Strip…???? Why Sticky Strip? – I then used the decorative Dots Folder and ran it through the big shot and then it was a breeze to peel off the red line tape and adhere! Easy!

"Fussy Cutting" the sentiment was easy as it is very straight forward and then stampin' dimensionals gave it the lift it deserved.

IMG_8350

A simple run though the Big Shot with a scrap of Tangerine Tango and then adhered it to the back of the envelope was the fun and simple finale!

Well….want to PLAY!?!? I hope so….all you have to do is take the challenge, email me your project and then I will randomly pick a winner and announce it on Wednesday! (This gives you 2 days to make a work of art!)

What will you win? – It is all about paper…so you will will a swatch book of all 50 colors of paper along with the names and color family it comes from! This is a lifesaver-speed tool for me! It is available in my product share.

IMG_8266

Tomorrow is a HUGE day for Stampin' Up! and YOU…and ME! I know that the orders are going to be flying in and I am super excited to tackle this new catalog!

Thanks for popping in and I hope you find some "me time" to take on this challenge…..Have a wonderful day and here is what this week looks like!

PPA Day!

IMG_8303

You know what Thursday are…it is time for a Pals Paper Art Challenge and this week it is a sketch! Once again, I think the talented Nicole Watt was trying to make me work overtime on this sketch! I scratched my head a bit and then said to myself – JUST DO IT!

This is from the new stamp set called Friendly Wishes and starting next Tuesday, you will be able to order this! The is the 3rd post I have blogged about using this stamp set! My goal is to share with you many different ways to maximize your stamp set. Please click here and then here to see the other 2 post and WOW – they are all so different!

Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 3.13.46 PM

Let's get to it! I think that the end result is a fun and fresh card that anyone would adore to receive! I wanted to push myself to use a focal color that I have not used in a while….so the pick for today was Rich Razzleberry.

IMG_8297

The yummy stripe paper is a new paper called, Envelope Paper (how original!!!) but it can be used for sooo much more than making liners for your envelope! There are 2 things that I really love about this paper.

  • I love the weight, much thinner than our regular DSP and the finish on it is wonderful.
  • I love that it is super affordable – You will get (12) 12 x12 sheets for just $6.00

I would suggest that you "try it" on my New Product Share, I am offering it in both color families that will be available…for just $4.00 – how can you go wrong!?

IMG_8307

As I said before, I was stumped on the sketch so I thought – go out of the box….just tear the paper! This is something that I do not do a bunch of but I do like the effect. Remember to tear towards you (slowly) so you can see the fibers of the paper….super quick….super easy!

I know that I have said this before….but I need to say it again – the Banner Triple Punch needs to be on your top 5 new products from the new catalog. It is fabulous! It is meant to cut (3) different sizes of banners but like I did here today, you can use ANY width of paper…just line the point up!

IMG_8306

How about this fun bow!?!? I enjoy using bakers twine and I think when you double (or even triple) it up to tie a simple sow, the end result is great.

All I did here was to tie a bow and then take several pieces of twine, lay it on top of the bow and then using the tails of the bow, tie the little pieces on! Glue dot to the rescue – a fun and festive bling!

IMG_8305

The image has "just a wee bit" of fun to do with the aqua painters! You could easily use the markers directly or the blender pens but I am a fan of the aqua painter. Just that little bit of Mint Macaron and the Rich Razzleberry is all that we need!

A quick mat of paper…stampin' dimensionals on the back and DONE…..Well…CONFESSION TIME….It was this point that I looked at my card and I thought….something is missing…..in my opinion there was too much razzleberry and then I thought – take the heart stamp…and stamp it here and there with the same color and wow – what a difference!

IMG_8300

I am sure that we all have a great friend that we could send this card to….this is a great example of why purchasing stamp sets that have great sentiments are true winners! You can easily change out the paper and color scheme and you will aways have a "blue ribbon" winner card!

Thanks for popping in and feel free to email me if I can help you! I truly wish that you would consider being a hobby stamper with me…there are so many incredible products in the new catalog, it would be a cinch to get that kit filled with your favorites!

IMG_8266

Please make sure that you pop back to the 1st post I did yesterday….it is super clear that Roberta's card touched many of you and I adored her comments….AMAZING! I would LOVE for her to do a blog post for me sharing her method of making the clouds! Just beautiful!

The above "ring of paper fun" is what Roberta won….the is such an amazingly handy tool….what I call a speed tool as it has all 60 of our current papers on one tidy ring! You can find it on my product share post.

You'll LOVE tomorrows post! Until then……

Product Share time!

IMG_8281

+++This is my 2nd post today….please click here to see the 1st one as there is one great card on there+++

This is the BEST time for you to be able to "get a taste" of the NEW STUFF and see what you like…it is a SUPER-DE-DUPER opportunity for you to get a real feel of the new catalog.

Taking advantage of a product share is the best way for you to have the newest paper, newest ribbon and "speed tools" to make you creating time more enjoyable and productive!

I know that there is a lot to "take in" but I hope that you can find some "new friends" and also I am including a couple of "old product share friends"! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Before I get into the specifics of my offerings, please know that I am not allowed to show you pictures from the new catalog until it is released next week but I think that you know me well enough, that my offerings are solid ones that I believe in and ones that I feel you would like!

Share #1 – Swatch Books:  – $32.50 (for all 13 collections of new paper)

IMG_8272

With the new catalog there are 13 new collections that will be made into swatch books…to me – these are an INVALUABLE TOOL and one that I simply could not have in my work area! A daily go-to!

For just $2.50 per swatch book, you will have all of the info you need….the DSP name, item #, price, colors that coordinate…this in itself deserves a WOOT-WOOT!

IMG_8273

Share #2 – Designer Series Paper Stacks Swatch Books $16.00 (for all 5 collections)

IMG_8270

If you follow my blog, you already know that I absolutely ADORE these stacks as I think that they are the BEST and EASIEST way to make a project/card "sparkle"…WHY??? when you are working with something and there is not a DSP collection that blends…pull these out and PRESTO – an instant WOW!

Stampin' Up! has come out with new designs and I have blogged already about these and I think that Stampin' Up! hit a HOME RUN with the prints! They are just fabulous.

Having these in a swatch book make it super easy for creating and if you are a demonstrator, these are fabulous to have to show customers all of the collections in a handy swatch book…WOWZERS – a great tool and a great and "space saving" way to show all that we offer!

Also, if you are like me – there are times that as you use up these paper stacks that the sheets go here and there and even though I keep each collection separate in my storage area, I often question myself as to the color so having a swatch book makes matching a breeze!

Same information that I have in the paper swatches…a real "speed tool" for us! In this offering…you will receive 4 collections for just $16.00, $4.00 per collection….BRIGHTS, NEUTRALS, SUBTLES, REGALS and the IN-COLORS are FREE!

IMG_8271

Share #3 – Card Stock of FUN on a ring! $8.00

IMG_8266

I had this super useful "speed tool" (as I like to call it) the last time I did a product share and it is a must have! The color coach is going bye-bye and that is sad but I like having actual pieces of the card stock on one handy ring. (there is just something about seeing and feeling the paper in person)

I have all of the collections on one ring and there are dividers in between the color families. Each piece of card stock has the name and the color family it belongs to.

IMG_8267

This is a perfect tool to keep handy in your work area as you do not have to pull out whole sheets of paper and also if you want to take the paper off the ring and see them side by side….presto!!!

If you are a demonstrator, this is a perfect way to show all of our paper!

Share #4 – Designer Series Paper 1/2 sheets (6" X 12") and full size (6" X 6" – paper stacks) $32.50

IMG_8289

  • You will receive (54) 1/2 sheets of the (9) different collections that are offered
  • 1/4 sheets of the Color Me Irresistible Specialty DSP (sorry, they only give us (1) sheet in each pattern so I need to cut it into 1/4"'s)
  • (36) full sheets of the new paper stacks…LOVE the fact that these are now 6" X 6"

IMG_8286

Share #5 – Designer Series Paper Stacks in 1/2 sheets -$28.00

IMG_7837

These are so hot (in my opinion) that they sizzle!!! HOME RUN with these and I know….if you were to order them – WOWZERS…it would be a bunch(as they are $22.00 per color collection) so I am taking the collections and offering you a taste in 1/2 sheets!

You simply can not go wrong with these gems! Just LOVE them!

  • You will receive (50) 1/2 sheets of 6" X 12" paper. (All 5 color collections)

IMG_8294

This is a new paper for us and it is much thinner than our regular DSP but do not let that fool you! It can be used for soooo much more than envelopes! The finish of the paper is fantastic and the value….WOW!

I love the fact that one side is a solid color and the other has either the woodgrain or the super fun stripes!

  • You will receive a 1/2 sheet (6" X 12") in the In Colors (as shown in the picture)
  • A 1/2 Sheet (6" X 12") in the Neutrals offerings of Kraft, Whisper White and Very Vanilla.

Weekend…bring it on!

IMG_8082

Can you believe that the weekend is here already and this weekend is the "kick off" for the Summer to officially begin! Time flies!!!

Here is another sneak peak of a NEWBIE stamp set that will be in the new upcoming catalog, you can click here to see the earlier post this week using it!

My goal is to showcase with you many different ways that you can use a stamp set so you can really get the best bang for your buck!

IMG_8080

This card is a one layer card and I will share with you bullet points to make this. Remember to think out if the box – this was a fun card to put together and I just allowed the sentiment to shine!

  • Stamp the sentiment and the flowers on a piece of whisper white. (I used the memento black – just love that ink pad as it always gives such a crisp stamp!)
  • Using the circle framelits and Big Shot, cut out the stamped image.

IMG_8086

  • Use the Aqua Painters and use the cucumber crush and daffodil delight…add some fun color. When you do a minimal amount of coloring like I did here today, you can easily get by without using watercolor paper!
  • Run a piece of white that is 1/4" smaller than the base through the big shot with the fun polka dots embossing folder.
  • Cut a hole out of the embossed piece using the circle framelits.

IMG_8088

  • Make a green "ring" with the circle framelits (remember, you just use (2) of the framelits….easy!)
  • Using the 3/4" punch , make lots of punches using the NEW In Color Envelope Paper and adhere these fun dots on the embossed image…(this paper is a dream, it is super light weight and sooooo easy for lining envelopes – the price is great as well = a win = win!!!)

IMG_8085

  •  Envelope Liner Framelits to the rescue to give that classic finished touch that we all love!

IMG_8079

To me, this is a FUN card! What do you think? The color, Cucumber Crush just screams being happy and who wouldn't love receiving this?

This was like a puzzle to put together and it was FUN to do, every element just fit into the cut circle of the white embossed piece….presto! – No dimensionals today but the POP of fun color of the circles makes the WOW happen!

In the next week I will be doing a fun post listing the "must haves" of staples that we need to have handy to make put crafting process smooth sailing and then when the new catalog comes out…I will add to the list! We have some new "speed products" coming out that I think make doing what we do much easier!

Thank for popping in….be safe if you are traveling….I'm doing the happy dance as peep James is coming home for the weekend! Please remember that if you are ordering from my site, please use the hostess code of K3VX2TKD  – this is good until the end of the month, one person will win the hostess earnings.

I hope that you will be able to pop in over the weekend for my (2) day post that you all seem to enjoy!
