Good Morning and I am sure that you are in the same camp with me….the camp of “People are so darn Creative”…. I am always amazed at the creativity and endless ideas people come up with and this project is no different!
This time….it was Twila’s Davis from Stamp a Little Longer (isn’t that a great blog name) turn and just look at this super sweet project!
Let’s face it…it is a smile maker and you can see that once again…the concept comes together with a great product that we all need to have on hand….Clear Tiny Boxes!
True, you could make up your own boxes but having these on hand truly is a lifesaver when that calendar rolls forward! I always have many little containers on hand…just in case!
The thing I love about them is that they are super sturdy and if you choose to add paper like Twila did….great – if not….the boxes are crystal clear and you can see right thru them!

When you see the step by step how easy it is to create this – you will say, “I could do this” and here is the BEST TIP I can give you…it you have a punch that is remotely around the same size….USE IT – please do not stress if you do not have the exact…use what you have!!!

Happy Friday to you and I know that you are as excited as I am as…WOOT-WOOT….we change the clocks this weekend and for me…that is simply MUSIC TO MY EARS!!!
As much as I always am looking for that 25th, 26th etc….hour in a day to do more things that bring me joy…I willGLADLY lose an hour to gain more sunshine!!! I am sooooooo ready for Spring!
I have a beauty for you today that I have just been itchin’ to share with you! I know that many of you enjoyed my last post of beautiful flowers and today I have another one but with a totally different feel! I made this several weeks ago and every time I see it…I smile so I decided to take some time this morning and type up a post.
As my subject line used the word “elegance” I googled the definition of it and below you will see what came up and YEP….I think that this card deserves this special word….as to me, it shines simple elegance!

- the quality of being pleasingly ingenious and simple; neatness.
The star of todays post is the Wonderful Romance Bundle! YEP, I am going to share with you the answers of the “why’s” that I had when I asked myself…..do I need to purchase this bundle!
I have been sharing with you the thought process of how I decide to hit the button as trust me, I GET IT as we cannot simply have everything and I am no different even if I get it at a 25% discount or at 50% off discount (like I did with this one)!
I know that the below thoughts take up a bunch of reading for you but I do hope that you find them helpful – it not….please share with me in the comments (the good and also the bad) as it does help me in hen-pecking on the computer! My goal is to be honest and upfront with you in helping you make a decision!
- IT IS A MUST BUNDLE….I say this because there are many times that I do not find it useful for my needs to get a bundle. There are times that I just feel the stamp would be all I need and/or vice versa with the dies…..but for this one – the BUNDLE is a must!
- The images of the stamps are just beautiful. Today I used the blends to color it in and that was total “easy peasy” as I was with some of my stampin’ friends and knew I wanted to work on something that I could do 2 things at once…..TALK & GET SOMETHING DONE = mission accomplished!
- The sentiments are fab-o and the font speaks to me as I adore when there are 2 styles of fonts together on one sentiment.
- I ADORE the (2) secret weapon stamps in this set that I bet most of you overlooked…..(1) is the little scattered dots and (2) is that wee little flower – WHY DO I LIKE THESE???…. easy = they are great little “something-somethings” to add to a card quickly when you look at something and say….it needs just something else…trust , having simple images like this will do the trick!
- FRAMELITS – not much to say here as they are AMAZING! When I saw the card sample on page 10 in the Occasions Catalog (image below) with the Soft Sea Foam card….I caved, as that did it for me…..just look at the detail! To me, this vertical die is just a show stopper and again, timeless and classic!….2 elements that are always important to me!!
- Remember what I said about the wee little flower? Well….you can see that there are (4) dies to cut out that little guy (THANK YOU Stampin’ Up! – that is soooo appreciated and also so smart!)
- Lastly about the framelits….this beauty below – a total keeper! I know you can easily visualize a sentiment with this gem….or even it tucked behind another element as a layering piece! You know me….I love my paper!!!
Ok – there you go…..let’s get to some pictures of this beauty! I hope that the camera does justice in your crafty eyes as I just adore this clean and simple card! Hopefully Ramsey will chime in on the comments as she was sitting with me when I made this and when I finished it said to her….well….what are your thoughts about this?
I loved her answer….”Did you just make this?”….I laugh and said, YEP!
As I said above, I used the Stampin’ Blends to color this…you can see below the colors that I used. I am often asked….what blends do you recommend to have?….and I am so sorry as you are not going to like the answer but here you go…..you need to have all of them!
YEP….all of them and the reason is…how in the world can you make a decision as to what color you are going to work with on a given day? I know that there are many of you that might be taken back by this comment and I get it….but again, I am being honest.
Stampin’ Up! was super smart to come out with the Blends. An alcohol based marker are dream machines and I have shared many times that I love and have an obscene amount of Copic Markers personally and I LOVE THEM…..but I also have all of the Blends as well so I can showcase them for you with Stampin’ Up! projects!
Again, being able to get the Blends at a 25% off discount is a no-brainer for me and as I simply cannot say enough, well over 90% of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are hobbists and Stampin’ Up! make is ridiculously easy to become a Hobbiest Demo with no penalties to drop ever….even if you are getting a starter kit and filling it with all blends!!!!
Trust me…I love a deal and I think that I am a pretty savvy shopper….and I am probably just like you and shop from MANY different Stamp Companies and guess what….that is OK – there will not be someone knocking on your door arresting you that you have other companies goodies – if that was the case….I would have a LIFE TIME SENTENCE WITH NO POSSIBLE CHANCE OF GETTING OUT!!!!
I just HAVE TO point out some things below and I have them watermarked on the picture for you…..DO NOT OVERLOOK simplicity and layers when you create! I just ADORE the sprigs when I use both vellum and paper together…..and GO OUT OF THAT BOX that we get stuck in….look and use what you have – little bits here and there make a project!
WHEW…..well, do you agree…???? is it a “keeper card”
I am sorry that my posts are always so long….I just can’t seem to help it as… I am what I am. Happy HUMP Day and I hope that we all are going to have a GREAT day!
I have been kickin’ my heels with gratitude that these past 2 days have been BEE-utiful but we all know, it will not last but heck – I will take it when I can!
My animals are so happy….blankets are off the horses and I think now there is no mud in the fields as it is all over them! The work never ends but they feel great!
In reading the comments on the Birthday Post using the Paper Pumpkin Kit…..there are a BUNCH of you that are like me….I love to make multiple cards of the same ….Here is a tip of what works for me!
I am odd that I seem to like to make even #’s of cards and I usually do 4 cards…
I do like to keep on of them for reference in case I want to make it again, but what I do is use a pencil and write on the back of that card that I keep….who I sent it to – this way if I want to send that last one…..I know whom I have sent it to….simply erase the names and in the mail it goes!
One thing that I think we all seem to do is…..
CREATE…and then have a STACK OF UN-SENT CARDS!
I know personally I am totally guilty of that and last Fall I did a HUGE PURGE of donating them to a variety of places so they will get used!
For me, I simply have to do this as I get so overwhelmed and frustrated with myself.
If they are GONE….I not only feel better but I know that they will get used and bring a smile to someone that is in need of a PICK ME UP! (I get that, we all need that!)
I just checked and that Paper Pumpkin Full Kit is still available and remember, IF you want it….you need to be a current Paper Pumpkin Subscriber and what I would do is just get a 1 month subscription as I do think that the kit this month will be a good one (fingers crossed) as the sneak peek video was great….and then you can simply turn around and unsubscribe – it is as simple as that!

One thing that I did forget to blog about is……what I do is CIRCLE the day of the month that the Birthday recipients special day is on or you could also use a small heart stamp and stamp over the date so it will POP out!
I did order another kit as this was so easy and fun to do! I will do another blog post about the other examples that I did as I have had emails about other DSP combinations!

This is one area that always seems to put that smile on our faces. Little accents add that special touch to a project and I know….I know – we love to get the blings….but we never use a whole pack! Good Saturday to you! I have some BEAUTIES that will make you go ooh and ahh and I just could not be more proud of these cards….as they are all made by team members from all over!
I threw it out there if anyone wanted to do a Card Swap and just look at these super-de-duper cards that they designed! I have made up a quarterly calendar for us in 2019 to do this again so come back and see when we do another Top Dog Card Swap! The next one will be in March and the theme is Birthday Cards!
When I threw it out there I clearly said…I could care less what you make….I could care less if it was an original design….all I care about it that you get inky…NO JUDGING WHAT SO EVER!
Before you take a gander I want you to think about this…..I mean REALLY THINK ABOUT THIS and hopefully let it settle in and each and every time you are hard on yourself….you remember….IT’S OK – what matters is that YOU TRIED… what matters is that you are GETTING INKY!
I want you to think about card-making the same as a recipe!
Are you thinking to yourself…what the heck is she talking about.…YEP, I MEAN IT! Now I ask you….if you went to a friends house dinner and absolutely loved a dish that she made…would you feel terrible in asking if she would share the recipe? NOPE, – you wouldn’t! My guess is that you would make it over and over again and each and every time you made it you thought of that 1st experience of having it with your friend!
I want you to think of your card making the same way! Please be gentle to yourself…I feel that we are all so hard on ourselves and I am guilty of that as well! There is NOTHING WRONG IN CASING A CARD…I ask you – isn’t that one of the reasons that you are here!?!?!?!?
I once heard something that hit me like a big DING-DING-DING…..when someone puts something out there on the internet, they are putting it out there for the whole darn world to see….and YEP…..so true!
That does not mean that you take full credit for the design etc…(and I am not going to get into that as we are all adults) what I mean is….it is OK….it actually is very flattering, rewarding etc….when someone does that…JUST LIKE A RECIPE as YOU did something that made someone HAPPY and ins’t it all about being HAPPY!
I follow this rule…if I totally cased a card from someone…I always share where the inspiration came from. Please stampers, PLEASE DO NOT get all hung up on this…as I stated before, we are all adults and know the golden rules! The reality is…I want people to get inky, create,feel good about themselves and have ME TIME….not be hung up on the “stuff” that can clog our head from creating!
I was just over the moon thrilled that so many did this swap! I know that I was the one that fell short in the timing of it all but I can only do what I can do and family first! I mailed out all of the cards on Thursday so the surprise of what card they get will be in their mailbox soon!
I could go ON and ON with what I love about each and every card….but I am choosing not to as I would be typing for HOURS!!!! (I’m a hen-pecker) but then again I am sure you can tell that with all of my typos….
ENJOY my sweet cyber friends and if you have a wee bit of time…..please leave a comment to give these “top dogs” some love.…and PLEASE ASK ANY ?’s that you might have about a card design….I am sure that they will be happy to answer them!
What card did I receive???……well…..I asked one of my peeps to help me do the swapping as I always get so confused with who gets what etc… and I received receive the BEAUTY from Rosanne Mulhern! She is so darn tootin’ talented and I am blessed that she lives relatively close to me and we get to play with paper together…..I was tickled to death!
I just always beam with huge smiles when I see anyones work as I GET IT…they made that with THEIR HANDS….and I do not know about you but…that is a gift within itself!
If you are wondering why I have (2) pictures for a couple of cards….well…..it is as simple as I thought that they needed to have additional angles to see the details! I wish that I could have held Beth’s card open to take a 2nd picture as it is just stunning how it opens…..but I couldn’t hold it open and take a picture at the same time!

Ok – I just have to sneak this below picture in as I beamed with joy! Sweet Hilda sent this to me and I melted! I just LOVE stamps…and I have never seen these before! What a great gift to tuck in to someones card or heck – even collect!
Hilda shared with me that she bought them online at the USPS and I went and could not find them. If anyone finds them….please leave a link in a comment as I would love to see if that have other stamps….as card-makers, we all use stamps and this would be a great little “something-something” to add to a card when you send one!
YEAH….I found the direct link for this adorable santa below and remember…..Hilda is right – stamp prices are going up but the forever stamps will alway guarantee you the current going rate for postage!
