Tips on Tuesday!

Th

Good Morning! This is a fun, very short but I hope informative post for you! It has been a while since I have shared some tips and tricks that I use to make my "Stampin' life" easier. I totally realize that it takes time to figure out a system that works for you.

I think I can speak for just about all of us, organization is something that we struggle with, we try new things….go back to what we used before…to go to the store and find a NEW -  "I just have to have item"….to come back home frustrated. Sound familiar???

The products that I am sharing with you today that works from me is from Stampin-n-Storage. You can click here to see their website. I cannot say enough amazing things about this company! The quality is amazing, the customer service is super….I just am so pleased with everything that I have purchased.

I am the very first to say that I realize that it is an investment….but I have slowly built up items from them and I can honestly say, they make my life easier! They fit our products perfectly and the "master mind" behind it has true blue experience and advice as to what we need as his wife is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Enjoy the pictures below and I hope that this will inspire you to "ROUND UP" your products and get them organized….whatever system works for YOU is the most important part…everyone does things differently but I hope that this helps you!

Remember….today is the magical day of the week that new weekly deals are offered! Click here to see the goodies this week – do you have a favorite?????

Let's chat about the label maker….it is a very important "friend" to me! You can find them at many local stores but I find it easier to just go to Amazon. This one allows you to print (2) lines if you want…there are many different font, it is just the best – Here is the link to the one that I use and love!

Click here to see the offering from Amazon.

Did you see the Yellow dividers that I used? Now here is a GREAT tip for you to take advantage of now with all of the Back to School items out everywhere. They are just simple plastic folders found at the office store….I think that they were 5 for $1.00 .

I just cut off the edge and them cut them to the size I wanted. They are PERFECT as they are super sturdy and take the abuse of flipping through many times!

IMG_0820

I have also found that Alphabetizing my folders as it saves a bunch of time when I am working on projects.

I love the fact that these products are designed to hold our product at an angle so it makes flipping through them super easy. Look at the website and you will see then design is at an angle.

I cannot say enough great things about all of these products…to me the label maker is one of the best things you can have at your house (plus it makes a super gift for that hard to buy for person) Another "heads up" – purchasing your tape for the label maker from amazon  will save you a bunch, it is soooooo much cheaper!

Yesterday was long but good….a great report (I guess) from the doctors – 3 more weeks of the boot 24-7 (I was really hoping that I could take to off to sleep) I feel like I am a pretty "tough old bird" but I have been saying that I have a "burning feeling"….yep – I have a nerve hypersensitivity something that we need to get under control before I go forward with therapy – in the meantime they said that water therapy would be great so in our pool I am going to go!

I hope that this  post shares with you a sneak peak of what makes me roll and you found it helpful! Please feel free to email me if you have other specific questions about the label maker etc…..Until tomorrow!

NEWS FLASH (every Tuesday we get updates…..and they are saying that TOMORROW, August 5th that NEW items will be added to the Clearance Rack)

news flash

I hope that it is a great offering…..I do not want to have "flashbacks" of the last one! I am being positive you you bet that I will pop on and see…..(and probably buy)!

Celebrate…it’s a new week!

I know that you are going to be inundated with "sneek peaks" from the new Holiday Catalog (and trust me, it is great) but I feel like we still need to show the love to the Annual Catalog! This stamp set is one of my "go to's" and I am thrilled that Stampin' Up! carried it over.

If you do not have this set,Fabulous Four…you need to – trust me on this one as each of these sentiments are great and you can even "mask off" part of it of you wish. I use masking tape and make sure that it wraps around the mounting block so it doesn't wiggle and then peel it off after you ink it up!

For todays card…you can see that I used 2 different colors .

Many people do different methods to do this but what I like to do is first stamp it on the stamp-a-ma-jig and then clean my stamp and then place masking tape over the area that I do not want to show…ink it all up and then peel off the masking tape and again, using the stamp-a-ma-jig…STAMP! Then I repeat this the opposite way for the other color.

IMG_0806

Using embossing folder always adds a great interest to your projects…try to mix it up and only use a part of a card. I think that we get so programed to use it for the whole front of a card, but you can see that this just breaks it up!

Also, I checked last night and the Texture Boutique Machine is still in the clearance Rack at 50% off….this is great for embossing only – there are times that it is really nice not to drag out the Big Shot as it is so heavy – this little dream machine is so little and light!

IMG_0808

Playing with another print from the Bohemian Designer Series Paper Pack on the same card is fun! Because everything matches so well…it's like "Peanut Butter and Jelly" – it works!

IMG_0813

I just cannot get enough of the Triple Banner Punch…it is the dream tool and I am amazed at how often I reach for it….when in doubt – pull it out! That's my motto for our punches….if I can use them – they are MINE!

IMG_0800

Clean, crisp, colorful and fun…this would be a great card for many occasions – just switch up the sentiment ad make someone smile! These colors are just fabulous and oh so rich!

I know that many of you are not fans of Delightful Dijon….but I am here to tell you…I bet I will change your mind. It is fabulous with many colors and I can clearly see in the Fall that it will be super-de-duper!

IMG_0802

The envelope liner framelit was the "icing on the cake" – I can honestly say, I never send a card out with out either a liner like this or something fun on the outside of the envelope!

Remember….we have talked about "the little things in life" – to me, this is one of them…it just is "complete" in my opinion!

Below is a picture that will make your lower lip go down. Dear, precious Norman had to have surgery on his ear and this "cone" is really stressing him out! He stayed in my work area all day with me…I told him it would pass!

IMG_0792

Even though Norman doesn't look like he is having a good day…let's all have a great day and a super week! Today I get to go to the Surgeons in Baltimore for my ankle – I am hoping that I can sign up for dance lessons….ok – that is a bit much, but I hope that I can start therapy and get going forward!

Until tomorrow…..

Mystery is unveiled!

IMG_0770

Good Sunday Morning to you! I am starting to feel like myself….I do not know about you but when I am away and then I come home – I always feel like there are a ton of things that need to be done…but the reality is…they will be there so enjoy the journey!

I am so touched by the amount of comments that you all left on Friday's Post about the (2) things that are different than my normal style….it was sooooo fun to read the comments – you all are the best! Click here to see that post.

  • what I did differently than I normally do??? = I ADDED (2) BOWS….many of you did get this!
  • and why I did it??? = I DID IT BECAUSE AT THE MAKE & TAKE…THEY USED A STAPLER TO HOLD THE RIBBON AND VELLUM….and I am just not a "staple gal", who knows – maybe I'll have a change of heart but I just had to cover it up!

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed reading your guesses….we need to do this again as it is wonderful to see and hear all of the different thoughts!

I hope that I did not offend anyone about not liking staples on a card as an anchor but I think staples should be for holding paper together….(I guess I am a bit old fashion and like I said, maybe I will see the light of this trend!)

This was soooo much fun…..kind of a scavenger hunt – and I just LOVE games! Thanks a bunch!

Let's get to the card today…you can see that I switched it up a bit and I must say – I love it! It is super clean, fun, fresh and I loved Friday's color…but I love this as well!

This should show you that it is fun to change up with color and you can create a totally different mood.

IMG_0779

The mood totally is changed with the Mossy Meadow and the Real Red! To me, great Christmas colors to celebrate the season. I adore the simplicity and font of the sentiment, "Joy" is such a great word and means soooo much….a perfect touch!

IMG_0780

This card would be a fabulous card to "mass produce" as is uses minimal product when you break it down and it goes super fast as I used punches for the circles….WOOT-WOOT – speed tools to the rescue!

Remember to break down your projects if you are going to make a bunch….one day cut your card stock and pop out the circles…next day you could do your stampin' and dashes and dots…hopefully you can see how you can break it down…that's what I do when I make up my monthly kits…this way it stays fun and you do not get stressed!

IMG_0785

As I said in the photo…..I have a new product that I love…the Corrugated Paper, it comes in both Kraft and White and they are 12 X 12 pieces…(they are on page 148) and a little is the perfect touch. I just love the texture it gives and look, the piece is sooooooo thin and look at the impact it makes!

IMG_0778

The Merry Moments Designer Series Paper was the perfect accent to make the envelop special! Plaids, Polka Dots and Stripes always make me smile and I think that this whole card make me happy. I do think using the tone on tone with the Christmas Trees works perfectly.

IMG_0774

I know that vellum can be tricky to work with as you need to "hide" where your adhesive is…and just like the Corrugated Paper, a little goes a long way with the effect. The white gel pen works great on vellum, just remember that it needs to dry well so be patient!

I know that the weekend 2 day post was not here this weekend but I do think that this card today is "stepped up" from the card on Friday! True the card on Friday has the fun bling paper (I broke down and ordered some after making the make-n-take) and that is also why I decided to add it to the product share for the new catalog.

A little goes a long way…..enjoy the day and remember that tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of the weekly deals, you can click here to see the offerings but the great news is….on Tuesday we will get more new weekly deals!

Please do not forget that I offer a "rewards program" that will allow you to earn free stamp sets.Click here  -  Simple Stampin’ Paw Prints Rewards to see my Paws Rewards program and feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Enjoy the day…..I hope that you enjoyed this Holiday Card – until tomorrow!

If they are products that are current right now, I can go ahead and process your order….but…..if it is NEW PRODUCT, you can go ahead and let me know what you would like, but I will not be able to bill you and ship until the catalog is live.
