This week we are focusing on a sketch to guide our creativity and I must say, the talented Kerry Bray had me scratching my head as I wanted to make it a super clean and simple card as time was of the essence for me when I sat down to create! Then all of a sudden a light-bulb went off and I said to myself. "What's Up with you today….no mojo" then it hit me…What's Up Stamp Set will do the trick!
I hope that you will play along this week at the Pals Paper Art weekly challenge. I already know that there is a bunch of great talent out there and tomorrow I will share with you the cards that were emailed to me for the Monday's challenge! Let's keep moving….

When I looked at this – I see a square card…and a rectangle….and you know what that is exactly what I did! EASY BUTTON!
This is a great example of letting your DSP go to town. I know that you have it….I know that you just hate to use it…but PLEASE USE IT as there will be NEW DSP soon….and than that cycle will happen again!

Very Vanilla is the neutral of the day and I think that this is HANDS DOWN why I adore this DSP, Flashback, as it coordinates with Very Vanilla. All of our other DSP's always pair up with white.

Let me give you some quick measurements (as I know you really are happy when I do that)
- Overall card is a 4 1/4" square and then the next layer in is 4" and then I scored it (see below picture)
- The "What's Up?" piece is 2 1/2" X 3/4" and then matted with 2 5/8" X 5/8" and lastly with 2 7/8" X 7/8"
- The DSP is 2 1/2" X 3 1/4"

Because it is a square card, out comes the Envelope Punch Board. Ironically there is not a measurement for a 4 1/4" card so here you go! I would suggest that you write it down and tape it to the bottom of your punch board.
- A 7 1/4" square of paper and then punch and score starting at 3 5/8"
- Using the DSP and "green glue" I simply continued to use my DSP (HINT-HINT) and then trimmed away all of the excess!

I might of started off a bit rocky with my thought process of todays card…but at the end I was very happy! The "What's Up?" stamp set has some super fun stamps in it to send those…just thinking of you – what's up? kind of cards!

This would be a great card to send to someone that you have not heard from for a while…or even to someone that reached an achievement/milestone and then in the inside put congratulations! The sky is the limit with what we can do – just think out of the box and have fun!

Let's continue to talk about FUN….please pop back tomorrow as we have WORK TO BE DONE! I am going to give you some homework that 2 , maybe 3 people have the awesome opportunity to win some BLOG CANDY!
This will be HOMEWORK so I am giving you "head's up" that you will need to look at your catalogs, but in the long run – I know that you will be happy!
Also, tomorrow I will do a showcase of the Monday Works of Art! You all make me smile, you all inspire me to take the time each day (and trust me – it does take time but I love it) to do my blog because at the end of the day…I feel that I have inspired you and that hopefully you will go and make some work of art from your heart!
I am an email away and I look forward to tomorrows blog posting! Please feel free to leave me a comment on how you like this super simple card!

Good Wednesday to all! Are you curious about the title of today's post? Yesterday when I saw that the Pansy Punch was on the weekly deals I just had to re-do a card that I did before as I loved it before and I love it now! This great news of the weekly deal is 1st base!
Please go to the highlighted post above as you will see how to make punching out these flowers without stress. I am sure that many of you know exactly what I am talking about…I can remember when this stamp set came out I was sooo darn tootin' excited but quickly became frustrated when I could not get them to match up with the punch!

Let's get to 2nd base…this is when I will announce the winner from the Monday Challenge! It truly makes my heart happy that many of you look forward to them and also do them! Today's winner is Joan Thompson and I am not only going to send you a White Gel Pen but I will also send you the card from Monday. I loved that card and ended up making it in several different color combinations.
Once I get the "ok" from Joan, hopefully I will share her card with you on Friday!

On Friday…mark your calendar to stop back as I am not only going to showcase the cards that you all submitted to me on Monday (with your permission) but I am going to get you all "geared up" for a BLOG CANDY that you could win….(I know that you are going to like what I have up my sleeve)
Let's get back to the card….I think that it is just fresh, fun and adorable and it would certainly brighten up anyones day and make them feel super special! Remember to click here to see the original post that I did for all of the specific scoop!

This stamp set that the "smile" is from, So You, is one that I get so many questions about! I think that it is overlooked in the Occasions catalog but I just adore the script fonts. (I hope that in the new catalog they continue to come out with fonts/sentiments like this!
Heat Embossing is still as rewarding as the 1st time I did it. It always makes me feel special and a great tip I can share with you is to have an inexpensive paint brush to "flick" away any excess powder that gets on.

You can see that I continued the theme on the front of the square envelope I made with the Punch Board – (that tool is just amazing) Today's color scheme came from the inspiration from the Flower Pot DSP…I just love that everything matches within the Stampin' Up! family!

Now we need to move to 3rd base….What in the world could 3rd base be? Silly Susan totally forgot to figure up and announce the winner of the "basic bundle" to those of you that placed an order with me last week during the free shipping….(I am sorry – guess I was just having too much fun with Hannah over the weekend)
And the winner is….Kendel Darragh and this is the bundle of basics that she won! I think that we will agree that these items are one that we use all the time! Again, many thanks to all of you that placed an order with me and I think that we all agree that FREE SHIPPING is great! WOOT-WOOT and thank you Kendel for your order!

- a pack of White 8 1/2" X 11 paper
- a bottle of mono Glue
- a pack of Stampin' Dimensionals
- a white gel pen

I sure hope that this card made you SMILE as it makes me smile. Have fun with changing up colors and make sure your garden is in full bloom – what a great way to brighten someones day!
Please feel free to email me if I can be of assistance to you…have a fabulous day – John is SUPER HAPPY that it is the 15th – this has been a particularly hard tax season for him and I am glad it is going to be over!

We always need to have these card unfortunately but I will say that this card is one that will never let you down as it is just classic and beautiful! Have fun changing up the colors that you use and play around with different DSP for the envelope fun!
A week from today Stampin Up! will be sharing with all of us the list of retiring stamps and that can be a sad day for us but it also can he a HAPPY day for some as they will be able to get some good buys! I have said countless times before that I do keep stamps that are my favorites/touch my heart and if this stamp set is on the bye-bye list – snatch it up and if it is not….put it on your list to purchase.
This set is called Love & Sympathy and the reason I love it is the fact that it has (3) stamps and you use all (3) with one card…plus it is only $11.95 in the clear mount…woot-woot – a win – win all the way around.

The card foundation is from the note-card size in whisper white and basically everything is sooooo darn straight forward. To me, the stamp-a-jig was a key tool fro me and I was able to whip up several of these cards in no time.

When we need a sympathy card, it is so wonderful to have some already made up ready to go as timing is so important! This card will hold up to any card that takes hours to make…this is one of those Wham-Bam cards that you can crank out many in no time.

I simply used the stampin' up! markers in Old Olive and Wisteria Wonder with the brush tip to color the floral stamp and then gave it a quick "huff of stampin' love" and then presto – a great image.
The sentiment was inked up with and again, the stamp -a- ma-jig helped me with perfect placement.

I made a bunch of these cards so I maximized my DSP and also used a 1/4" of Old Olive so I could get (12) envelopes lined from one sheet of paper. I adore these paper stack!

I have received some super fun and cute challenges from yesterday – please remember that you can email me your picture of your card until 9 p.m. tonight (eastern) and you could win a white gel pen…there is so much fun talent out there!
You know what today is….the unveiling of the weekly deals…what is your favorite? Thanks for popping in today and I hope that you enjoyed my clean and simple card!
Until tomorrow!

Good Monday my dear friends! I feel like I have been at the best resort in the world being with Hannah, the horses and my barn friends for the weekend. John laughs at me as he says…."It's amazing that you love to sit and watch for 2 minutes of "show time" and that you love being at the barn at 5 in the morning"…this is truly what makes me roll…Hannah and "Stanley" had a great show!
Today is a super quick post that one lucky stamper will win a white gel pen! I decided to change it up this month and I hope you play! - What do you have to do? Easy-peasy…just have fun creating and share with me your word….just email me your creation and you can win!
Why do I do this? Again, easy-peasy….I want you to STAMP…I want you to stretch yourself from the routine that you are in and do something different!

Here is the scoop for today! You must use (3) different colors of paper, (3) shapes for one card….think out of the box…it can be triangles, rectangles, flower punches….so many options out there! I cannot wait to see what you come up with!

I had literally no time to get this post as I wanted to spend time with Oscar when I came home from the show….so I took some time to groom him and give him some love and the time glass was flipped over! While I was grazing him I planned the card in my head – this is what I was thinking!
- Use the stamp set , Big On You as that is a total keeper and I also need to send a card to someone that had a stellar weekend……

- Look at what DSP I have not used for a while….out came Park Lane!

- The colors were super easy to pick as the catalog always gives us the coordinating paper that matches it. Easy-Peasy!
I also knew that I wanted to make a square card and a square card is perfect with this stamp set! At the beginning, I went for a 4" square whisper white piece of paper to stamp my image with Calypso Coral. I did that….but then eventually I changed my mind (that happens…right???)

Using the colors of paper that coordinated with the DSP I did a mat and figured out to make a 4 1/4" mat with my 3 colors. This worked out to be 1 3/8" X 4 1/4" for the 3 colors but after all of that I changed my mind….I needed to have more of the 3 colors showing…
PLAN B – cut the stamped image piece down a bit to 3 1/2" X 4" and BAM – done! This card was literally a wham-bam- "I'm happy to be home and have lots to do so let's make a card"!!!!
So…how about it??? – can you come up with a card that is super quick using the 3 colors and shapes? You know me, I do love my DSP and YES (I will do swatches with the new upcoming catalog) so I invite you to use whatever makes you roll to inspire you with your card making designs!

Have fun…find some "me" time and I am going to change it that you have until Tuesday night (9 p.m. EST) to email me your work of art….(I realize that there are many of you that find it too hard to do it in one day with work and life) so on Wednesday I will let you know who the random winner is!
Have fun…no stressing as that is NOT ALLOWED…and I am super excited to see what you come up with! You know what tomorrow is….the Tuesday deals for the week – WOOT-WOOT!!!!
by Susan Itell | Apr 12, 2015 | Step it up Sunday!, Super Easy |

Well….here you go – basically just (2) subtle changes! This card just makes me smile and you know what else this card would make…a super gift – You could make a dozen of these and make (3) different sentiments in (4) different color combinations and WOW – you will have a super special gift that anyone would love.
I am sure that you can hardly see the changes but when you hold them in your hand you can see that the little "stepped up" touches are just seconds to do but do "dress it up"!

One thing that I forgot to mention yesterday was that when you "double up" on the flowers like I did…it does make a difference to stamp one on the card and then layer the other one with the glue dot over it. This makes it look great when you curl up the flower petals!

One the above photo you can see that I added the little pearl – this makes it a bit more special but if you did not have a pearl, you could also use the white gel pen and that would do the trick as well! Do you see the little "trio dots" – you know me, this is something that I love to do and it does add depth to your stamped image!

The other trick I did was (2) simple scored lines on both the top and the bottom of the stamped image piece. I liked to turn the stamped image down so the scoring lines are up! This takes simply seconds and makes a huge difference with add no additional product.

One cute card! Have fun with color…have fun with different sentiments…just have fun! That IS the name of the game as without fun we will be stressed and grumpy and that's not fun!
I am having SUPER FUN with Hannah and she had a great day yesterday. The whole barn had a great day. It is just wonderful to be with my barn friends and seeing beautiful horses show their athletic beauty. Jack has spring from the Vets and is happy to be home with his buddies!
Tomorrow is a personal challenge for you from me…I think that you will like it = I am going to give you a hint…it uses (3) pieces of paper and shapes that you all can do!
Thanks for popping in, feel free to email me and until tomorrow….stampin' hugs!
p.s. – I forgot something….on today's card I did pop it up with stampin' dimensionals = we all know that this simple touch always makes a huge difference. On Saturday's card, I simply kept it a flat card.
