Whew…I think I’m caught up!

IMG_5988
Good Morning! I decided yesterday to be focus and get caught up on the Thank Yous that I needed to get out to all of my wonderful friends that have sent the most yummiest dinners to us!

You have heard me take about the "Iguana's" before….well all of my lizard friends + more have been dropping a dinner off to John's office every 3 days since my fall (as we live in the boonies) and it is easier to drop it off in town so I am finally all caught up with the thank yous!

This card is sooooo darn tootin' cute and I will say, the darn camera does not do it justice at all! I told you that I was not going to do anymore heart cards….but I just could not resist as it was fitting that I needed to make more of the Top Note Chocolate Boxes!

IMG_6008

Let's get going…..(please…please CASE this one as it is so fun to make!) Before we get going….I adore this sentiment and I must say….to me this sentiment is worth the Sale-A-Bration level as There is ALWAYS something to be thankful for!

It is called, You Brighten my Day (such an appropriate name)

  • The card is a 4 /4" card in Whisper White
  • The Crisp Cantaloupe is  4 1/8" square and then using the Hearts Framelits, (#4) I cut it out….(This is why I LOVE this card – you get a really BANG for your BUCK…as it really uses the paper)

   IMG_5986

  • The Black piece is a 4" Square and I used the same #4 framelit to cut out the heart!
  • "Piecing" the (2) together using Sticky Strip… I then used the Heart Embossing folder as shown to add the special touch!

IMG_5984

  • Layering this over the already "cut out" piece makes it a win-win with minimizing paper!
  • The sentiment….WOW – isn't it just the best….was a cinch to pop out as we have a punch that fits it perfectly (thank you Stampin' Up!) Adding dimensional to the back and the simple flower was all that was needed!

IMG_5998

  • Well…not to fast – the envelope! = SUPER CUTE! I used the Lullaby DSP and also stamped the front with the cute sentiment from the Lots of Thanks Stamp Set (I also did this in the inside)

IMG_5992

Well…as the saying goes…that's all folks! Well….can you see you trying this? I think that this technique would be great with all sorts of framelits that we have…I say "TRY IT..YOU MIGHT LIKE IT"

Today is  a GREAT day for me as my middle "peep" drove home from Raleigh, NC last night for the weekend. It will be a joy to wake up having him home.

IMG_5994

There is one thing that I always say about James…..it is….."If there were more James' in the world, this world would be a better place" – I truly mean that as he is the keeper of all keepers!

Please feel free to email me if you need any assistance….and feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think of the card today! I am excited to make other cards with this technique!

Thanks for popping in and tomorrow is Show & Tell – I hop you pop back!

My “hello there” for YOU!

IMG_5976

Good Morning! WOW….did you all enjoy the Pals blog hop yesterday? There is so much talent out there and it is so much fun hopping from one site to the next getting your creativity tank full! Many thanks if you popped by my site and saw my dear little bunny.

How about this super cute card? This is the card that I will be sending to everyone that places and order with me during the Month of February. As you can tell…I am lovin' the coloring thing and I would love to send this little guy your way!

IMG_5971

This is an easy card to make (and I have blogged about it before) but I just knew that this little guy will bring a smile to your face. Along with the card, I will provide you with a tutorial with the measurements and tips to make this style of a card!

This adorable stamp set is called Time To Celebrate is it is just the cutest and I sure have used it a bunch! It is a hostess set which means that you can use your free shopping rewards to purchase it for just $11.00.

I was super scared to dive into the Blendabilities when they 1st came out….true I was excited but deep down they intimidated me as the concept of "blending" was not in my thought process and when I looked at tutorials and heard people say…."look to see which way the light is"YIKES  – I thought THIS IS OVER MY HEAD!

IMG_5974

Well I jumped off that diving board and just did it and guess what – I LOVE THEM! There is no reason to be scared about them at all, actually quite the contrary as the color glides on and it is just plain and simple FUN!

Remember that when you use them to place a piece of paper underneath the area you are coloring as it is totally normal that they bleed through the back. Because they are alcohol based you also need to remember to put the cap on and hear that SNAP!(also – store them on their side)

IMG_5978

You can click here and shop away at my site and remember, for every order at the $50.00 mark, you will be able to pick a FREE goodie of your choice in the Sale-a-bration catalog and guess what – they have 12 different offering of Blendabilities too….here comes a woot-woot!

Screen Shot 2015-02-11 at 6.14.36 PM

It would be my pleasure to send you this super cute card and I have had fun coloring up many….thank you all for your business as brings me joy to make you smile!

Click here to see the details. YOU can pick what YOU want! (you are responsible for keeping track of you Paw Prints)

IMG_5981

I love what I do and I love helping you reach your goals in learning new and fun techniques so you can go out and feel confident! Please feel free to email me and remember, click here to shop away and I will be happy to send you this card.

Enjoy the day….bundle up East Coast – it's going to be brrrrrrrrr……. and my poor PEEP that lives in Boston – he said that he has seen enough snow!

Stampin' hugs….until tomorrow.

Let’s go to the hop….yippee!!!

http://stampinpretty.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f95df92883401b8d0cefdc3970c-piWelcome to the February Pals Blog Hop. This month we are sharing what we love – our favorite Stampin' Up! products and our favorite crafting techniques.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Stop #8  Susan Lankford at Stamp and Create With Susan. Use the full lineup below to move along from blog to blog so you see all of the new projects.

The Pal's Blog Hop Day is one of my favorite days of the month as it is a joy to see all of the creativity! With  31 blogs…you better get HOPPING….so I thought that this adorable bunny deserves to shine!

IMG_5952

Is this little guy the cutest or what…he reminds me of a toddler when they are excited! I LOVE that Stampin' Up comes out with great single stamps! This guy is called Happy Easter Bunny (original…right?)

It simply does not get any cleaner or more simple than this! This little guy stands proud on his own, all I did was use the blendabilities. I LOVE the fact that Stampin' Up! is right on trend and came out with these fabulous markers!

IMG_5959

The blendabilites are a dream to use and on this card…I did not do any "blending" as I wanted to show you that these markers can be used "as is". I realize that many of you worry about "how to blend"….(it really easy easy though)

The key factor to the Blendabilites is the fact that you do not see any lines…it is a clean, smooth and polished look!

IMG_5956

For the dynamics of this card….easy-peasy…the Oval Framelits, another product I LOVE that StampinUp! has…with the help of my main man, Mr. Big Shot I cut (2) white (largest Oval) and (2) Soft Sky (scalloped).

After doing my coloring, I adhered both white pieces to the Soft Sky ones. To the "inside" oval, I took it to the Stampin Trimmer and scored it at 1/2" and then using the bone folder, I gave it a good burnish in both directions and then added a piece of sticky strip to join the 2 together!

IMG_5960

Adding some Stampin' Dimensionals under my adorable little guy….is all that is needed! I told you that it was a SIMPLE card…another thing that is GREAT about this card, especially if you are a busy Mom and stamper – you could go ahead and stamp the image of a bunch of Ovals….grab your blendabilites….and color away while you are at a game….waiting in a parking lot for the kids…( I always love to have something to do)

IMG_5956

IMG_5968

You know that I need to give my envelope some love, and what better way than to use another Stampin' Up! product that I LOVE….the DSP Designer Series Paper Stack in Subtles – these are total "lifesavers" to me!

The envelope liner Framelit is definitely a product of ours that I LOVE...could not…would not be without it!

IMG_5955

I hope that you found this to be a FUN card and one that you will give it a try! With having "single" stamps…it not only makes it affordable, it eliminates "piecing" together many different stamp sets to make a statement – This guy says it all….Happy Easter!

Stampin' Up! makes it so easy for all of us as everything coordinates which makes it a total one stop shopping experience! LOVE THAT!

Many thanks for popping in and please keep hopping along the great PALS bunny trail! Please feel free to email me if I can be of help!

I “heart” this bundle!

IMG_5942

This is the last “heart” card I am going to share with you but really this is just a super fun “just because” card to say “hello”. Please make sure that you read to the end as I have a special offer for you and I would love to send you this card!

This is from the Crazy About You Bundle (and yes, I would definitely buy this as a bundle as both the stamps and the framelits are just wonderful – plus you will save 15%) I adore the framelits.

You know that I am a clean and simple gal and this inspiration came from a crafter that I truly admire, Jennifer McQuire. You can click here to see the video that she did and I just had to try it as I knew that Stampin’ Up! has great framlits that the technique would work.

I will say…there were a couple of “gray hairs spouting” from me but I think the key is to have the right products. I am referring to the tape – I tried it with washi tape and that didn’t work (part of the paper fibers stuck to the washi) and naturally I did not have the tape that Jennifer suggested!

IMG_5934

I immediately thought – go raid all of the stuff that John had last year when he had his accident and I found this tape that worked!

You will keep the tape in place just like this each time you run it through with each color….what a FUN technique! (you can see the cutting part is down and I simply can "pick up everything" and take it to the Big Shot!

  IMG_5858

The beauty of this method is that you will get (5) cards by this technique and the color combinations can be so fun! I kept it simple and just used the “hello” sentiment on each of the cards!

Because you are cutting all of these hearts out in ALL sizes….you can mix up the color combination and presto – 5 cards of FUN! The Card base is a 5" square and the size of the color paper is a 4 3/4" square. You can see how easy it is as once you do the cutting = BAM!!!

When you pt our card together, the "key" is to "lift" 2 of the hearts with little pieces of stampin Dimensionals and WOW – this looks super sharp. I used the "green glue" on the flat ones!

IMG_5861

IMG_5930

Can you see that there is a bit of dimension to the “hello” – I used a Stampin' Up! product that truthfully I forget about. It is the Vanilla Coaster Board. I cut that out with the hello framelit and then adhered them together! I think the extra dimension make a big difference.

IMG_5863

What do you think? I think that it make a big difference and in person…it is really pronounced – pictures are great but having it in your hand….WOW!

IMG_5932

Making a custom envelope was easy and adding the DSP on the back flap makes me smile! The sentiments in this stamp set is endless and you can see that doing a "trio" of sentiments on the front of the card will make the mail man smile. (I also did this on the inside)

IMG_5938

Well…what do you think!?!? I sure have been using this fabulous set a bunch lately and I must say I adore each project and look forward to many, many more to come!

Here is an offer for YOU!

If you order this bundle from me I will send you one of these beautiful cards as well as (2) sheets of the Vanilla Coaster Board so  you can give it a try! Click here to order!

Oops…better late than never!

IMG_5929
Good morning…I know that this is getting to you later than usual but yesterday was a great day and posting by blog…"just simply did not happen"…why? Well, I great drive with John in the countryside and YES – we did get to see my boys (horses) Oscar and Stanley – and then my great Dad came to dinner to do an early celebration with us for his 84th Birthday!

Here is another "OLDIE BUT GOODIE" and I know that I have blogged about this before and it has been "all around the stampin' town" but I adore it – so easy yet so fun!

How can a "Sour Cream" container be so darn cute?

Easy-peasy…..because it was made with your heart and hands! Now – I all know that we have a TON of paper and we look at it and say WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH YOU? Does this ring a bell?

The best thing is making these little dreams is the best as you can really use just bout any size of paper, Today I am using the paper stack and not cutting it one bit –

If you are like me, you stock up on these paper stacks . These make up SUPER little gifts, table decorations, party favors etc…and you really would not have to put any candy in it – you could fill it with inspiration quotes, a note…

So easy, so fast, let's get going! It is literally like 1,2,3!

  • Take your paper from a paper stack, today I am using the Stacked with Love Stack and simply place sticky strip on 3 sides (1short side and both long sides)
  • Expose the short side only, then I find it easier to use the piercing tool – pull off one of the long sides and squeeze together!
  • Fill with FUN and LOVE and then turning the pouch to the other side, squeeze the opposite sides together to form then FUN treat! (hopefully the pictures will help!)

IMG_5917

IMG_5918

IMG_5920

  • To decorate….the sky is the limit but because I still have the "critters" and the  "snuggle & smooches" out on my work area, I said why not! Soooooo darn cute!

IMG_5924

I loved the sentiment on my little bear! Using the blendabilties is like having "power steering"…they are a DREAM and just glide right onto the paper!

Now for the super fun "feel good" for the day!

Get ready because this is super special…my Dad is leaving on Wednesday to meet up with his other 3 siblings to go to Myrtle Beach to spend a week together….is that the BEST or what!

I have a "bag of 6" ready for him to take with him for his Valentines Dinner table treat to have with his siblings. I just think that it is great that they are going this….(Uncle George is 87…Aunt Jean is 86….my Dad will be 84 on the 18th…and Aunt Anne….the baby  is 75)

IMG_5923

So for a SUPER quick and easy Valentine goodie to make up – I say GO FOR IT, I am sure that you have lots of paper around – it simply can not be easier!

Tomorrow I have a FUN technique that I tried….now I cannot say that it is the easiest but it is really, really cute and I think that once I made many of them – it would be super easy! I hope you can POP back tomorrow!

Sorry for the late post….please feel free to email me if I can help you and I thank YOU for YOU!

p.s. – tomorrow will be the NEW weekly deals and there is a new stamp set coming out that I am super excited about!
