by Susan Itell | Oct 12, 2013 | Halloween, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Super Easy |

Quick, fun, easy, duplicatable…this is one "Wham Bam…Thank You Maam" card! Stampin' Up! usually has "small" stamps in many of the Stamp Sets that they offer…and when you see one – I hope the "light-bulb" goes off for you to use this layout!
By now if you follow me, you have heard me say endless times…when you find a layout that WORKS…save it for later and change up the stamp and sentiment and BAM – you are good to go!
This card, I would suggest that you make up a template for the square part…keep it somewhere that you can go to easily and WOOT-WOOT….a card in a jif!
Sorry the pictures are not the best today…but I think that you will get the idea!
The card is using the Note Card & Envelopes….what a bargain – 20 Cards and Envelopes for just $5.95!!! I adore the smaller size as a 3 1/2" X 5" card is a perfect size!
The 1" square punch is the must have tool for this card!
Here is my 1st tip….take another piece of white paper and cut it to 3 1/2 x 5 and then find the center and the measure down 1" (as that is the depth of your square punch) This is a HUGE help to making a template and then you will trim off a bit from the sides to make is smaller for the effect of the final card!

After this…I take my "template" over top of my note card and draw 3 of the squares on the card to make my stamping easy! It is sooooo much easier to do this from the start, use your stamp-a-ma- jig and get it perfect…a simple erase of the pencil and YOU ARE GOOD TO GO!

The stamp set that I used was from the Holiday Catalog and it is still not too late to order Halloween Stamps but CLICK my shop now button and "get on it" so you can make some cute cards and projects! It is called Halloween Hello and I have used it a bunch on my blog!

Everything else is a breeze! Again, use your Stamp-A-ma-jig to place the sentiment….it would be sooo darn silly to do this cute and fun card to have a crooked sentiment!
The Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set always comes to the rescue for the perfect short sentiment! An "A list" set to have!!!

Stampin Dimensionals are also the key element to a card like this….it is great to use up all of the "extras" that are around the dimensionals…WE DO NOT WASTE A THING!!! What would we do without these gems!

Another tip….I always use the Black Stazon Ink! Why? Just love the clean and crisp image it produces but please note that you need to use the StazOn Cleaner when you use this ink….no big deal – it is important to keep your stamps clean and conditioned properly!

I know that it is super hard to see….but I did use the liner from the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper….using the Big Shot and the Envelope Framelit is the finishing touch!
This card really is super cute in person, sometimes pictures just do not do justice! Please CASE this layout and have fun! If you do….please send me your card – I would love to see it!
This has been such a fun week and I am so excited to have my daughter home….she has missed her Dad and is loving pampering him….
I hope that everyone has a great weekend and please if you have not already done so….subscribe to my blog so I can give you a daily dose of fun and inspiration!
We are in the middle of the TO GOOD TO BE TRUE offer from Stampin' Up! For $25.00 you too can have fun with me, be inspired by me and let me help you reach whatever your goals are!
I have been asked these 2 questions the most….
- Can I really just get a discount and then stop without a penalty? YES!!! (you can do it "you're way") but I think once you see the fun you will have with the PALS and how you will grow in paper crafting…you might just wanta stick around as with one qualifying order – you would not have to order again until April 2014!!!
- Do I have to live near you to have you as my Upline? NO!!! The computer is simply amazing…after all – you are at my blog right now!!!!
Click here and get started…I would be honored to be your upline and have you on my fun and inspirational team!
Just remember…your order needs to be at least $25.00 but cannot be anymore than $26.95! I think you will be able to find something!!! (ha-ha…if you need me to help be your personal shopper…let me know!!!)

Until tomorrow…..
by Susan Itell | Oct 11, 2013 | Birthday, Tips and Tricks!!! |

I have a confession….and I am being very honest! A week ago was a Pal Paper Art Challenge and I was sooooooo over the top excited with my card….so much that I went to my Stampin' friend and encouraged her to play with the PALS this week…..to only…..
Find out that I used the wrong colors! I was sooooooo darn tootin' happy with myself that I was prepared 4 days in advance…only to be deflated that I did the wrong colors…..but I thought – "OK – I will use that for another post"…..so here you go and its a great card!
Remember how I have told you endless times that when you find a layout that you like…to remember it and do it again….and again…..and again – just changing the sentiments and stamps! Well…this is one of those kind of cards!
This whole card making thing is not a "rocket science" – rather it is a method and using a method is easy and duplicatable!
We all are too hard on ourselves…Just roll with what works for you!

Here you go….you'll be happy as I have some great tips and measurerments for you!
The colors used were Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Sugar (love!), Crisp Cantaloupe and Pear Pizzazz and they are all cut at 2 5/8" X 2"
Line each of these up and use Sticky Strip on the back BEFORE you run it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder to do the magic! This trick makes is soooo easy to keep the rectangles the same size!

Now pull off the Sticky Strip and mat it to a piece of Very Vanilla – cut at 4 1/8" X 5 3/8"
TIP ALERT! If you want – this is a PERFECT time to use this piece of Very Vanilla to cut a shape out as it is going to be covered…like the circle that you are using for the card….love saving paper when you can!

The circle is from the Circle Framelits and the Scalloped Circle Punch is the perfect backdrop!

Do cupcakes make you as happy as they do me? They make me smile…and I love this Create A Cupcake Stamp Set and Cupcake Builder Punch! Using all of the colors make it a fun and festive card!

We need to have a sentiment…..right? "Happy Birthday" does the job and it is from the Bitty Banners Stamp Set and then using the matching, Bitty Banners Framlits make this an "easy-peasy" card!

If you were to "glance" at this card….you would think that it is hard…..but break it down….it is very do-able….it is down-right easy!
I do realize that there are many tools used for this card but when you think about it…we all send so many birthday cards out….wouldn't this be a super one to make in all different color schemes!!! To me…it's a keeper!

My goal and my passion is to show you that YOU can do it….making card DOES make a diifference not only to YOU but it also makes a difference to those that recieve them!
Envelope time….this was sooo darn easy as I simply lined the outer flap of the envelope with the Baked Brown Sugar Paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack!

Today is a special day for John and I….our daughter is coming home from College and I say WOOT-WOOT! I cannot wait to get a BIG Hannah hug and I am super excited to see her and I have lots of fun projects to do together with her for Halloween to give to her college friends!
We are in our 5th day of the super opportunity to join for just $25.00. I have had the opportunity to talk with several people asking…is the really for real? Easy – YES it is…and this IS the best for the stamper that enjoys our product….being able to order the new goodies earlier….being able to order at a discount….
The questions I am asked are…
- Do I have to teach classes = NO
- Do I have to have a blog = NO
- Are their penalties if I decide that this is not for me = NO
You can do this for YOU – email me and I will call you to talk!
Our PALS group lead by the wonderful Mary Fish has been growing this week and it is so darn tootin' exciting to have more PALS…we are a fun group of endless energy and inspiration and I would be honored for you to be on my team!
You can simply click here….and get started….so easy….and I will promise you that I will inspire you and be by your side making sure your personal goals are met!

By now you know my style is clean and simple and I love to give you simple tips tp make card making fun and very do able! I would love to be on this journey together with you and if you decide that it is not for you…no biggie – I'm not going anywhere and I will still be there to help you, to inspire you and to hopefully make you smile!
Until tomorrow!
by Susan Itell | Oct 10, 2013 | Fall Cards |

Wow…this has been a busy and exciting week!
It's Thursday and that means another Pals Paper Art Challenge! Its a color one(they are my favorites) and here it the color palate that the super design team chose…please play along with the Pals! I would love to see your masterpiece!

Today I am going to start with who is the lucky Blog Candy winner from Tuesday's PALS Blog Hop!
I thank you for the comments and I will say, you brought back many wonderful memories of Halloween costumes and I hope that you felt the same! To me it was great to see many "fun" costumes instead of super scary! Thank you….and thank you for your popping by my blog!
And the winner is….Pam Steckman
My
favorite costume was in 1st grade- my mom made it and I was a purple
crayon. I loved that she always made my costumes! Thanks for the
inspiration!
Pam, please email me with your address and I will send you your Blog Candy….Enjoy and thanks!

Let's get to the card…I was tickled with it and I had a method to my madness to share with you today!
Stampin' Up! is offering weekly deals. The discount will be reflected in the shopping cart…WOOT-WOOT – love a deal!…(Stampin' Up! is the best) and I used one for today's card!
The Squares Collection Framelits were the focal part to the card! I love being able to be in control of making frames/mats…simple solid squares and also mixing and matching both!
These colors work so beautifully for a Fall themed card! The Stamp Set is called Gently Falling and I can remember it was one of my 1st stamp sets I had ever bought…I was so proud of myself to do "double stamping"….it creates a fun effect!
I stamped the lower leaf in Cajun Craze and then did the upper one in Soft Suede (I have been using this color a bunch lately) Being that this was one of the 1st stamps I bought…I did not line up the images and stamps very straight so if this happens to you…you might want to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig…just in case!

This card is so simple and quick…all it needed were some Stampin' Dimensionals to add some pizzazz…again, less is best and this is a card that YOU can do and one the YOU will feel proud to send!

I know that it might be hard for you to see in these pictures…but the larger So Saffron Square has a matted Cajun Craze square that I made using 2 different sizes of the framelits…in hindsight – I should have popped the Cajun Craze square as well to show the fun effect…..next time!!!
Making an envelope was a cinch to make in the So Saffron and since there was not a Designer Series Paper that complimented these 3 colors….I went right to the Regals Designer Series Paper Stacks to match up with the Cajun Craze to line the outer envelope! (see 1st picture)

Mailman smile time….besides lining the outer back flap of the envelope, I simply could not resist stamping and adding a sentiment to the front of the envelope! Loved the outcome! The stamp set I used was Sweet Essentials, one that is an "A list" for me….but one that I have not used a bunch lately and I loved how it turned out!

Here is a closer image for you….Just doing a little something to your envelopes is always a fun trademark to do! It's fun and it makes something go from ordinary to extraordinary!

I am thrilled with all of the emails and inquiries about the super $25.00 opportunity to join Stampin' Up! It truly is a wonderful opportunity and Stampin' Up! has been celebrating their milestone anniversary in many special ways!
Please email me and I will call you and help answer any questions you might have! I would adore for you to be on my team of inspiration and I will love to teach you how keeping it clean will allow you to always have fun…to me – less is truly best and it always works for those of us that are busy and also allows you to feel such a sense of accomplishment!
If you are ready, click here and just make sure that your order is a minimum of $25.00 and not over $26.95…that is it I say another WOOT-WOOT!!!
You will be "good to go" and if you choose to place your 1st order within the 1st 45 days…you will get 30% off of your total order! WOOT-WOOT…..PLUS you will also be able to pick ANY stamp set of your choice in December absolutely FREE!
This is such an exciting time and there are absolutely no penalties if you just say….this is not for me….BUT the best news is, you'll still have me and also lots of passion and inspiration as the most important thing is …that you are having fun and stamping!
Please go to the Pals Paper Art Website and see all of the beautiful inspirations! Lot's of talent out there…and I would love to see yours!
I blog daily, and I love expressing myself for you to get to know me better! I am passionate to help you have the confidence in having fun! Please share my blog and passion with your family and friends!
Until tomorrow!
by Susan Itell | Oct 9, 2013 | Christmas |

Wasn't the blog hop yesterday super fun! If you have not had the chance, I totally encourage you to go to my posting yesterday and then from there you can go from blog to blog to be inspired!
Today is the magical day of Christmas ideas (every Wednesday)… being that Christmas in now…..11 weeks away! Every Wednesday, I will inspire you (hopefully) with a fun card!
Today is a clean and classic one that will surely be a hit….not only is it super easy to mass produce, it does have the wow factor there as well!
Nothing is more classic than a bunch of Very Vanilla….it is always so elegant and stylish! This is an A-2 card but scored at the 5 1/2" mark! I like this look!
This card is very straight forward but if you need help…..please email me and I will be there! The center stage is the Festive Flurry and it comes in a bundle which makes it super fun as you will save 15% right off the bat!

On today's card I only used the framelits and I know….you are thinking that this is a very pricey collection but with not only the super-duper promotion of becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for just $25.00 (just until October 21st) – you would be able to get this at an additional 30% off….I say WOOT-WOOT!

Did you notice the fun, clean and simple Embossing Folder? This is from the Holiday Catalog and it is one not to be missed! It is the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder! Embossing Folders are gems give you the best bang for your buck!
A quick and simple mat of the new In Color of Baked Brown Sugar does the trick! Don't you just love that name!?!? Remember, less is best and sometime just a POP of color in a minimal one is all that you need!
Have you been wondering where the sentiment came from? Well….it is from last year but it is carried over this year….please click here to see the products that ARE STILL AVAILABLE this year, they are simply not in the catalog….so if I do not show you…..you might miss them!

This set is called Greetings of the Season and has some beautiful fonts and sentiments!

I suggest that you stamp the sentiment 1st before you start the fru-fru….and stamp it very low on the card! It is so clean and classic in itself that all you need is this on the card ….look at it – there are no other stamps!
The liner for the envelope comes from the Season of Style Paper Stack….love , love it! Seriously, I would love it if Stampin' Up came out with more of these – just adore them!

The liner is easy- peasy with my main man, Mr. Big Shot and the Envelope Liner Framelit – a must have if you need a Santa gift….(I do gift certificates!!!!)
From the pictures you can see that 3 key elements of the card that help the WOW…POP and texture are the simple "dots", the Stampin' Dimensionals and the totally classic Basic Pearls Jewels – after all – who doesn't love pearls!
Again, less is best and this card will look great this year…..10 years from now and even later! You just simply cannot go wrong with the classics ( that's what my dear Mom always told me)

Please make sure if you did not leave a comment on yesterdays post…that you do so as you could win some super fun Blog Candy! I think it is cute and all you need to do is leave me a comment and on tomorrows post I will announce the lucky winner!
I am sure you have not forgotten….but we are in the middle of the most incredible opportunity for you! YOU can join SU for just $25.00 and you would not have to do one thing until the end of March but we both know that would not happen!
Click here and get started! You just need to make sure that your items total at least $25.00 but not more than $26.95 and then email me….and we will get the fun going!
Is it really just Wednesday? I feel like this week is creeping along….but then when I see that Christmas is just 11 weeks away….I say Oh no……stay on task! Pace yourself with your projects and always remember to enjoy the journey and not be overwhelmed!
Have a super day and until tomorrow…..
by Susan Itell | Oct 8, 2013 | Halloween, PALS Blog Hops, Super Easy |

Thank you for joining us for the Pals Halloween Blog Hop. We hope
you enjoy our virtual trick-or treat hop where you will either learn
great tricks for your creative projects or enjoy a blog candy treat.
This is one of most favorite times each month, the PALS hop…make sure you read to the end to see the TREAT I have for you! Leave me comment on your favorite Halloween Costume you remember wearing…and on Thursdays post, I will announce the lucky BLOG CANDY winner!
You should have just left stop number 21 on the Pals Hop – Katy McGloin at Just Fun Stamping. If so, you are in the right spot.
If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along
from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
Let's get to this fun, clean and simple card…

If you send out lots of cards or make treats to give to family and friends…this is a great card to make multiple of using a minimal amount of product!
You will see that this card is a 4 1/2" square and when you get down to the Blog Candy at the bottom of the post, you will see that I also adapted the same theme to a 3" square.

- Starting out with a 9" X 4 1/2" piece of Whisper White and sore it at 4 1/2"
- Ready for keeping it simple….the Pumpkin Pie pieces are 2 5/8" an a 3 5/8" squares, the Whisper White is a 2 1/2" square and lastly the Designer Series paper from the Neutrals Designer Paper Pack is a 3 1/2" square.

Envelope time….I am going to spend a little more time today on the envelope as when it comes to making envelopes we have a couple of different options!
We all know that the Envelope Punch Board is the best thing that has come down the pike….and if you do not have it…it's easy – YOU NEED IT!
Today I did not use it…I wanted to show you that if you do not have it you can still make your own envelope with the help of the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. Click here to see Mary Fish's great chart on making envelopes…I use it often and I would suggest that you print it off as you will refer to it!

Before I get to the simple how to's did you notice my smile for the mailman? I love to make their day as well…that is a hard job and they are a big part of what we do…..there's nothing like going to your mailbox and having a card in your mailbox for you!

A question I get asked often is…how do I do the outside of my envelopes? Easy…I just take a piece of Designer Series Paper ( be careful if it has a pattern to make the pattern nice and even)…I use the 2 way Glue Pen – adhere and then using the paper snips cut around!

Here is the end result…one great card! Did you notice the little "trio" dots I randomly placed on the card…my trademark – just love this little fun and simple trick!

Ready for the Blog Candy? I think it is something that everyone will love…items that I have made and I am sure that you will put them to great use!
Simply leave me a comment and also let's have fun with sharing some of our costumes we wore in the past…I will randomly pick a winner and announce it on Thursday posting…you have a lot of blogs to HOP AROUND to so I thought I would give you some extra time!

Have fun hopping around…I just love to see what everyone comes up with! Many thanks for popping onto my blog and please….come on back! I blog daily and would love to inspire you!
Now go hopping….and until tomorrow!
