Good Monday morning and I have a super sweet, fun and simple card for you today! I made a switch back to the annual catalog as I as feeling sorry for it as once the Holiday Catalog comes out….the poor Annual one gets to the back-burner!
If you follow my blog, you already know that I adore single stamps and I was thrilled that this stamp was carried over! A great single stamp like this one, Kind Koala is a keeper as not only it is sweet but also it is super affordable at just $10.00.

I am trying to continue to show and share with you that using Designer Series Paper as a focal part to the front of a card nit only “WORKS” but also makes a great impact! To kick off the week – I have given you all of the dimensions so I do hope that you will try this card!
- The card is an A-2 card in the vertical position and I am using the Heavy Card Stock. If you have not worked with this…it is easy – YOU NEED TO and I can almost guarantee that once you try it, you will never go back.
- I cut another piece of white to 4” X 5 ¼” to use as a base for a mat to build the card on.
- Cutting the Designer Series paper at the same size (4” X 5 ¼”) I am able to make (2) of these cards at the same time. This paper is from the Into the Woods Paper Pack. I took the paper trimmer and placed it on the diagonal on the track and cut it in half. I adhere this to the white piece.

- I admit, I used the stamp-a-ma jig to place my little friend as I wanted it to be “JUST RIGHT” and I know that I am reassured of perfect placement each and every time with my “plastic friend”. I used the must have new Black Archival Ink.
- This ink allows you to watercolor with it and even though I am not using watercolor paper today, this heavy weight card stock will work fine with a small area like I am showcasing. The colors I used were Soft Suede and Hello Honey with the Aqua Painters.
- To carry the theme of this card, I took the soft suede and the hello honey and cut slivers of paper to adhere against the DSP for some fun interest.

- I added a little bow to our friend but pulling the threads from the 5/8" cotton ribbon and then added a fun bow to make him feel extra special!
- To make everything POP, I matted this to a piece of soft suede a smidge larger…. 4 1/8" X 5 3/8". To me, this is just the perfect POP to pull it all together and trust me, I used the centers and punched out some acorns! (No wasting a bit)
- You know me, my favorite part of my cards….the beloved envelope – I used 1/4" strips of paper and then the DSP….adhered it and then snipped the excess away!

Hopefully that this brought a smile to your face today and it also inspired you to pull of some DSP and use it as a focal part to your projects. I know that it is hard to do but once you give it a try, you will love it!
Please do not forget that I Rewards program – Paw Prints Rewards to "thank you" for your support. Who does not like free stamp sets….I know I sure do! Have a great day and here is to a great week ahead.

Good Friday to all….is it really Friday – can it really be???? I feel like I have lost several days this week but the reality is that I did lose several days but I am going to be Rocky and rebound! (after hearing them play the Rocky theme song when the Pope was in Philadelphia it made me think , I can be Rocky)…I am feeling soooo much better….
Today I am leaving to go to Atlanta for World Card Making Day and being able to see many special people that are near and dear to my heart and to be the BIGGEST sponge and take it all in! As of right now, I have nothing to take to work on but that's ok – I will pull together some things and yep – yikes – I need to make my swap cards!

I wanted to share with you another way to do a super simple and clean card that would hold up to any card you would ever find at a store! I adore this stamp set and I have an idea (you know me…..I think of things at the strangest times but I am going to think of something super fun with this stamp set)
I think the font and the sentiments of this stamp set are just wonderful and I think that you are going to like my idea if I can figure it out! This stamp Set coordinates with a kit, and the kit is super cute…..(I need to blog about that too!)

This is a great example of a "Wham BAM card" This would be a great card to make up and give as a gift, I know that I sure would like and appreciate a dozen of these to use throughout the year!
To me, there are 3 key elements that make this card….
- It is super clean and simple using just 1 stamp set
- The simple scoring on the sides makes is special
- I love coloring in the hearts randomly on the DSP = the icing on the cake!

I know that many of you are skeptical of the Note Card size and I must admit, I do not get it as it is a super size and the paper is fantastic – just like our heavy weight card stock plus it is the best bang for your buck!
I hope that this has inspired you that you do not have to make "time consuming cards" all the time – the end result will be super-de -duper! Trust me, there are times that I really enjoy the "me time" is making a challenging card, but this – right up my alley!
That's it my friends…this weekend will be different on my posts! Tomorrow I will share with you my swap card (yikes – I need to do it…..) and then on Sunday I have a "Show and Tell" for you that will make you smile….some AMAZING works of art that will make you happy!

I was determined to take it easy these past 3 days and get lots of rest so I could go to Atlanta….I am looking so forward to it and I wish each and everyone of you were there with me! (Would we have FUN or what)
Below you will see the products used for this sweet card, please feel free to email me if you have any questions and tonight while I am a "princess" in my own room at the hotel, I plan to read emails, make swap cards and have some "me time"
Until tomorrow!

p.s. – I just could not resist this photo….trust me, we have kennels, dog beds, toys all over the house and here is Milo and Leo. Remember, Leo is James puppy that he rescued and I have NO IDEA what he is other than one sweet boy! His legs are sooooo long and see how he has his back leg around the "new boy"

What is the PERFECT time?
TODAY is the perfect time to hit that SHOP NOW button (or go to the end of the post and click it right into your cart) and purchase this must have, classic, timeless and oh so versatile die as it is 25% off! I know…I know – that dies are very $$$$$ but that is why this is the perfect time to take advantage of this!
Yep, that's right….this Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies is on the weekly deals and this is one of those things that you will never regret purchasing! Stampin' Up! had this on weekly deals back in June and it was a huge hit and I am thrilled that they brought it back!

In June, I did a 2 day post on this special gem so this post is rather short as you can click here to see all of the scoop and measurements on how to minimize your paper usage and then you can click here to see how I stepped it up a bit to make it even more fun, (if that's possible)
On the 2nd day that I posted this I showed you how you could take this little gem of a bag and add a super cute card and trust me, you can even still stick in a treat! Todays bags are filled to the brim with treats only!
The thing that I adore about this framelit is….you can easily use it all year around…with the amazing paper that we have at our fingertips, you are surely going to be doing the happy dance all year long creating all sorts of fun!
Here you go…..how about a fun parade of pictures…..you will see the supplies I used at the bottom of the post…the new tear tape is a dream machine putting this together!
I am not a scary Halloween person but I do think sweet and happy Halloween things are fun. To me, this is FUN to the max and I know that it would bring a smile to anyones face!

Do you see the threads of the bow that I put ontop of the Rich Razzelberry one? These are from pulling the threads from the stripe in color ribbon, further down you will see that I used the Tangelo Twist on the other treat bag – this is a fun and oh so easy effect!

Don't you love the sparkle on the witched hat – a bit of bling! Remember, the fun glitter paper is available in my Product Share! I like to only use it if "little doses"

You know I love my sentiment framelits – what a statement they make and yes, I did use 2 layers of the vanilla coaster board….makes all the difference in the world and truly does not take much extra time!

Here is a close up of what I was talking about before…this ribbon is a dream ribbon, it is so easy to work with and being able to use it in another way by pulling the strands is a win-win! (remember, this ribbon is on my product share)!

I hope that this brought a smile to your face! I think that they are super cute!
DOG UPDATE: I need to include all dogs on this one….John comes home late tonight so I had to break it to them….the slumber party is over! We have had a blast all week at our slumber parties and Eddie is doing just great! The little sneak – he found another stash of tennis balls and I swear there must be 20+ all around!
I have a friend that works at a tennis center and she gives me all of the balls that they can not use anymore…so trust me – our yard/barn areas look like a permanent Easter Egg Hunt….I need to get a quick video of Eddie trying to get 2 balls in his mouth at the same time – PRICELESS as he really, REALLY tries hard to do it and he is a HOOT barking with a tennis ball in his mouth….he sounds like a dolphin!
Please remember that today is the last day to order anything from the new Holiday Catalog Share. You can click here to see the post and feel free to email me if you have any questions on specific shares.
Until tomorrow!
Here are the weekly deals…and then below that will be the products I used for the post today!

Well….good morning! It is Friday…really? – I am sooo confused when we have a holiday…Are you wondering what is up with the title of this post?
Let me explain myself. I think that there are times that we have "sleeper stamps" that are in the catalog and then when you give them a try…work to figure out a way to use it (especially after you bought it) – this is the way that I felt about the Writing Notes Stamp. It is a single stamp and you know how I feel about single stamps!
It is a super big stamp and I feel strongly that when you use a BIG stamp like this, buy it in the wood mount – it is so much easier to use and also ~ ink it up with the stamp facing up and bring the stamp pad to it (you will get a better ink coverage)

There is a story behind this card. My wonderful hubby is a CPA – now most people think that CPA's work just during tax season and then play…well I am here to tell you…that is soooooo not true! We have these special dates all year long that the stress factors in the house rise a bit….and September 15th is one of those days!
He has been swamped with work and he had 2 employees that went "that extra mile" to help him pull together a big project and he asked me if I could make a card for him and he was going to put Movie Tickets into the card so they could take their family out for a fun evening!
Well…you know my answer….Of course I will!!!

The card is an A-2 card in Pacific Point and then the white piece is 3 3/4" X 4 3/4" and then I stamped it with the new gray ink (LOVE IT!!!) The thing I really like about the basic stamp is that you just can't go wrong – if it's crooked – that's ok…it is just a great whimsical stamp!
The "Thank You" is another single stamp, Thank You (how original) and the real red ink makes it POP! The star is from the very popular set, Watercolor Wishes…this is a great stamp set not only for the sentiments but also for the images, like this star. (remember you can click on the image in the below scrolling store to pop it up larger to view)

Below you will see this sweet and fun card without the Movie Tickets in the clothes pin. Aren't these clothes pins adorable and oh so functional as well. The cotton bow and the Bakers Twine adds a completeness to the card…I just think it is super fun!

I hope that you enjoyed today's card. I know that I should have shown you another goodie from the NEW Holiday Catalog but I just could not resist after I made these up for John. You know me….I will continue to share with you new catalog projects!

Let's all have a great weekend! Many thanks for taking time to pop in and see me today! I deeply appreciate your time and I hope that you find my blogging helpful to you.
You know what the weekend brings…Simple Saturday…Step it Up Sunday! You will smile and inspired.
Here is an Eddie update: – His will to continue on is making his momma melt. Yesterday morning is wasn't himself at all and I thought I would see if he would come down to the barn with me. He did and he loves to drink out of a big water bucket that the horses drink from.
I filled one up and then walked away and peeked around the corner and it was adorable, his little paws up on the bucket drinking water so I know that he is staying hydrated. I carried him back up to the house and the minute I walked in the house he started to wiggle out of my arms as he saw a tennis ball! See…he still has a Jack Russell spunk in him.
We had a mini ball game in the family room and he had FUN! When we leave the house, we kennel our dogs and it is priceless…Eddie always has at least 2 tennis balls as his friends!
He has not been eating much and has become very picky but my motto is…What Eddie wants…..Eddie gets. He enjoyed some turkey last night. Everyday is a new day and I truly look at each day is a gift…for many reasons!
Until tomorrow….make someone smile today! You'll be happy!
