Boo! Halloween will be here before you know it and I thought I would be festive for this week with the Pals Paper Art Challenge! This week is a sketch challenge and it is a fun one! Please pop onto the Pals Paper Art Website to see all of the beauties!

This is about as easy and basic as it gets but it is still cute! Just about any age would enjoy receiving this card and this would be one that you could easily make a large quantity of.

I think maximizing a small image stamp like this cute little pumpkin is great for cards of all sizes! Naturally it would be perfect for an enclosure card with a sweet sentiment underneath but this size also works great in multiples like this card!
The pumpkin is from a stamp set that I think is overlooked in the catalog, it is called Holiday Invitations and I do plan to do future posts on it!

The designer series paper is from the Motley Monsters Collection and this is just a FUN paper pack! There is nothing crisper than a bold stripe and the size is a 3 ¼ ” square and then matted in Tangerine Tango at 3 ½”

Using up scraps….(just love that feeling) The white stamped images are a 1 ¼” square and then the black is 1 ½” . I quick “dash” all the way around did the trick!
Now lets go back memory lane…do you remember in school when you would watch the teacher draw the chalk lines on the board with the 3 pieces of chalk thingy and then you always were in awe with how well your teacher could print? (I used to love to clean the chalk board and go outside to clap the erasers)

This is exactly what this sentiment looks to me…a Elementary School Teachers perfect printing! It is from the Frightful Wreath Stamp Set and besides that “splatter” up top…this is not frightening at all…actually I think it is super practical!

I know that it is hard to tell with the black paper but I POPPED up both the focal part and the sentiment with my stampin’ vitamins – aka….Stampin’ Dimensionals! How fast and easy!

The envelope love for the day was a simple lining the back flap and then a quick stamp on the front – (sure does get the message across)
That’s it….very doable….right? Simple is truly just as it is….simple! Please do not feel guilty when a card does not take you much time…that is a GREAT thing! This would be one of those “keeper” layouts I have talked about…
I am so happy so many of you want to do the card swap! My dear mailman will be wondering why in the heck am I getting so much mail!
Also, many thanks for all of the great comments and feedback from the dear little hamburger box yesterday! Wait to you see the other ones I made…I will blog later this week with them – they are so cute and so much fun to make!
Jeanie was sooooo happy and as I told you before she is a pre-school teacher at a Catholic School and she called it a “Nun Owl” and is going to take it to school tomorrow to show Sister Corda. She still has a terrible cough but would not miss helping with the swap for the world.
Yikes…the holidays are fast approaching and we all know how fast that calendar is rolling…tomorrow I am going to share with you some tips and ideas for making your projects doable!
Please feel free to email me and have a wonderful day…please play with this sketch – it is super fun!
Until tomorrow!

Make it Monday is here and this is a fun sketch that I found on the Internet! I hope that you will have some “me time” today and make a card with this sketch as a guideline!
I think that this is a perfect card to send to my niece as she is in her freshman year at Ole Miss - She is doing great and lovin’ it but I know she will appreciate a note from her aunt!

The stamp set today is appropriately called, “What’s Up?” and it has a fun yet modern feel to it! Let’s go!

The card base is a vertical fold in Very Vanilla and the Designer Series Paper that I am using today is my go-to when I use Very Vanilla, Flashback DSP. The size of the DSP is 3 ½” X 3 ¾” and then the little piece of Very Vanilla is 1 ¼” X 3 ½.

TIP ALERT: I used a piece of sticky strip to hold these 2 pieces together – this works perfectly and then I used snail around the edges before adhering it to the Smoky Slate which is 5 1/8 X 3 5/8”.

Next, out came the Stamp-a-ma-jig as I knew that I would want perfect placement for this simple greeting and while I had it inked up I went ahead and stamped the front of the envelope!
We are super lucky to have great tools like our punches…today I used the ½”, ¾” and the 1”…. having these tools makes card making quick and easy…but more importantly….FAST!!!

This card was a wham-bam card and one that you can easily sent for many occasions! You could add some candles to make it a Birthday Card….and a “get well quick” …..the sky is the limit!
I hope that you give this a try – there are lots of fun things you could interpret this sketch with – give it a try and be proud of yourself….I know that you can do it!

Please feel free to email me if I can be of help to you! Tomorrow will be a new group of Stampin’ Up! products – remember every Tuesday there are new goodies….today is the last day to order from this weeks offerings! Click here to view them.
Let's all have a great week and I have some inspitarion for you this week! I feel like I have not shown many 3-D projects so I have a fun Halloween and an item that I thought was a "sleeper" in the catalog that in my opinion works out to be a "keeper"!
Until tomorrow!

Here is a super quick and happy card for you to case away! It simply does not get any easier than this! Today's card is a great example of letting our beautiful Designer Series Paper to shine and be the focal point!
When the new catalog came out in June I was super happy to see this paper, Flowerpot DSP….WHY? It is BOLD….and the colors are wonderful and rich! I adore navy blue and not only are there many papers with navy…I was doing the BIG happy dance that we now have a Navy Seam Binding Ribbon!

This card is another 5" square card and simple and classic layering of paper is all that was needed (remember to utilize the paper that is going to be covered….great way to use your punches and framelits!)

The Stamp Set for the day is the "must have" as we all need "Thank You" cards….appropriately names, Lots of Thanks! I love the fact that there are so many different fonts…sizes…and sentiments!

I used scraps to stamp the sentiment and then a simple flag of the end was all that was needed! Don't you love using scraps!

I was truly trying to tie a simple bow for you as I usually like my "seam ribbon" bows but time was of the essence for me and I knew a tried and true simple knot would work just fine! I adhered it with a glue dots…(these are a very valuable adhesive to have on hand)

I love taking pictures from the side for you to see the dimensions! I think that "lifting" creates a magic that brings the WOW on!

The envelope punch board helped again and also the stamp-a-ma-jig also did the trick! Making the mailman smile is a thing Iike to do as I figure that the stamp is already "inky" so why not use it again before you clean it!

Thanks for popping by! I have a quick suggestion for you to do….have you popped on the Stampin' Up! Website….go to it – there are lots of ideas and it is a great resource…and there is even a blog filled with ideas and inspiration! I think that sometimes we forget about going to it….have fun!
Please email me if you need help or have questions about today's post! I am super happy that I have the September Stamp of the Month Kits completed….I know that you are going to love them! If you are interested in the program, please click here or email me!
Until tomorrow!

Good Morning! I am so excited to be Mary Fish's guest stamper! I hope that you enjoy the card today as I think it is super cute! When this paper came out, All Abloom…..I was SUPER happy with this particular pattern. I am not sure why, it just made me happy and it made me smile!

If you follow my blog, you know that I adore square cards and this one creates a big punch but if you look at it and break it apart, you will see that it is super simple!

I pulled all of the colors from the Paper Stack using, Blushing Bride, Pistachio Pudding, Stawberry Slush and of course, Whisper White!
These stacks are the BEST "bang for your buck" as you will receive 48 sheets of fun paper…it is just $6.95…I say WOOT-WOOT!!!

Simple, yet effective with that little sentiment from A Happy Hooray did the trick! I adore this stamp set as it truly is very versatile! (I think I might do a Stamp of the Month Kit with it) in the future! Look how effective stamping in the bold color of Strawberry Slush made this POP!

I know that you like when I give you the measurement and here you go! This card is fun, easy and you know that the recipient will be super happy to receive this cheerful card! Please feel free to email me if you have questions!

- The Base is Blushing Bride as a 5" square card!
- The super cute DSP is a 4 1/2" square and then I cut a mat a "smidge larger"
- Using the square framelits I cut a frame from the Pistachio Pudding using the #3 & #4 framelits and then added a piece of white behind the frame!

- The size of the circles are the 1 3/8" & the 1 3/4" circle punches. Using Stampin' Dimensionals always makes a statement! ( I call them my Stampin' Vitamins)
- To me…the POP of the card is using the white gel pen – I LOVE this pen and a little dash makes all the difference!
- The envelope Punch Board makes it super easy to create your own envelopes! Today I simply lined the outer flap of the envelope!

Making odd size cards is always fun! I realize that it takes extra postage for a square card, but many of our cards we make need extra postage with the embellishments we use! I think it is well worth the extra expense as I would be SUPER happy to get this "pick me up of thanks" in the mail!
Many thanks for popping in today and it is an honor to be a guest stamper for Mary while she is at Founders Circle! I truly hope that she is having the time of her life as she most certainly deserves it!
If you enjoyed the inspiration today from this post, please enter your email under the holiday catalog on the side bar of my home page…I blog daily and I feel like I have learned from the BEST! Having Mary as my direct upline is a privilege and joy!
Please feel free to email me or leave me a comment! Enjoy this wonderful day and "thanks" for popping in and letting me inspire you!
Until tomorrow!

Simple Saturday is today and this card is as simple as it gets and WOW – think about all of the wonderful Designer Series Paper we have! Today I am using the Back to Black paper and this is a clean, crisp and classic collection!

The base of the card is in Strawberry Slush at a vertical fold. I know that I use this paper a bunch but I will say…it just works! So cheerful and fun! The whisper white base is ¼” smaller and then I layered a the designer series paper on top and this is 2 1/4” X 4”! EASY!

The Sentiment is from the Cycle Celebration Stamp Set…I love the font and I adore using up scraps! To make the banner end, I do it the easy way for me…cut it in the middle…then snip – snip to the center point.

The Black and White Bakers Twine was tied in a simple bow (these I can handle) and I attached it with a simple glue dot!

The envelope came together in a snap with just lining the "outside" of the flap and then with the help of the Stamp -a-ma-jig….a quick sentiment on the front was the icing on the cake!

Simple works…simple is FUN…go make a simple card and smile today!

Please email me if I can be of help and I do hope that you pop back tomorrow! I have a special card that I can say will make you smile…I adore the paper that I am using and I know that you will enjoy it too!

by Susan Itell | Sep 19, 2014 | Fall Cards, Super Easy |

When you are in need of a super quick card…this one is for you! Not only is it perfect for this time of the year, it comes together in a snap! The paper, Color me Autumn is just beautiful and it really makes the fall season come to life!
I received a card from my friend and downline, Jeanie in a Spring theme….and I knew that this "layout" would be a "keeper" for a future card! She does amazing work and she totally loves creating and Stampin' Up!
If there was one thing that I wish that Stampin’ Up! had it would be….to have the notecard & envelopes in the Very Vanilla color…but no worries – I cut my own and then used a crumb cake notecard envelope…so it works for me!

Pulling out the Cajun Craze from the DSP, I used the simple leaf from the Fun Fall Framelits, I simply cannot get enough of these! To me, these are great “fillers” to place “here and there” to make a statement!

The sentiment is from the Feels Good Stamp Set and I was so happy that it was carried over with this years catalog, as it is a keeper! Just look at these wonderful sentiments…I have made many cards with this set!

I stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla in Crushed Curry and then using the Scalloped Tag Topper - a simple press did the magic! I took a piece of Cajun Craze a “smidge” larger and then did a quick “fussy cut” around the scalloped part and then threaded the Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon with a quick “Susan knot” (remember….I am bow challenged)
Popping this whole piece up with Stampin’ Dimensionals did the trick! How quick and easy! This is a card that you could make in “mass quantities” as it is so easy!

Adding this beautiful Fall Paper to the back flap is the perfect finishing touch! I think that I am going to use this paper and layout for my Breast Cancer project next month - changing up the sentiment.
This post is a great example of it being “ok” with a clean look. I would be thrilled to receive a note from someone with this card…how about you?
Make sure that when you are creating cards…look beyond…like pulling out a simple framelit like I did today with the leaves. This not only does “fill the space” but it adds interest….always think out of the box!

That’s it for today…so easy – please whip up a simple cards and let yourself be proud that you did it without having to stress!!!
Please feel free to email me if I can be of help! I have been in my glory this week being able to be at a horse show seeing Hannah's horses….it feels great to be at the barn and being around my "horsey friends"!
Until tomorrow!
