Hands down, Fall is my favorite season and this year the leaves have been just spectacular ~ I love to play a game with myself and find a beautiful tree and just watch the daily chances…it truly is am amazing process – nature is a true beauty!
This is a simple card that can be for a "just because"…."birthday"…."masculine"….just a simple yet handsome card. I used a product that I truthfully forget about….WASHI TAPE! A simple strip of it makes a perfect balance and fun POP!

I wish that I could list the markers in the store below, but many of them we do not sell individually so here you go with the colors that I used. It is BEYOND FUN to color and go back to your childhood…no rules – do you remember how fun it was to get a fresh package of crayons and color away….it is the same thing, we are just a bit older!
The colors are: Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Cherry Cobbler. I used the Memento Ink to stamp the image….here me out – I ADORE the new black ink BUT I think with the photopolymer stamps….I find that the coverage seems a bit better….just my thought!

The liner is from the Bohemian Designer Series Paper and the color is just so striking! I thought – why not….continue that yummy color with the sentiment from the For All Things Stamp Set….(do you remember how popular this set was last year)….I knew that I needed to pull it off the shelf for this beauty! The ribbon is the threads of the Blackberry Bliss Cotton Ribbon….so fun and fresh!

Were the leaves pretty where you live this year? I just think it is an amazing process and I admit that as I drive I think of our colors….I'll say to myself – look at all of the Cajun crush….and soft suede….look – there is some hello honey! I am silly!
You know what today is….the day that we get a new batch of weekly deals….I get excited myself to see what Stampin' Up! has for us when I wake up on Tuesday. Remember that these are good thru next Monday evening.

One easy yet fun card…and guess what – tomorrow is the Pals Monthly Blog Hop and you will be AMAZED with the great ideas that you will receive…..for all things we are thankful for! Thanks for your time today…..feel free to email me, and have a great day – until tomorrow!

I told you yesterday that the post today would be a keeper and to me, this is a classic "Susan card" – it makes me smile, it is fun to make, it is classic, it is duplicable……what more can I say! I promise that I will "ease back" on the Holiday Cards but I just needed to share this with you!
While we are having our coffee together, let's have a "chitty-chat-chat" about the white notecards! I know that many of you are not fans of them but I hope that you can see that this is a super cute card. There are (2) main factors that make this a affordable card.
- – The Note Card and Envelopes are just $6.00 for 20 and the paper is the weight of the Heavy Card Stock

2. The Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack – Fun, festive….WOW!

I am going to give you a super quick run down on this card as I truly hope that you will case it. It is a keeper and I know that you will enjoy making it….Remember the advice that I have shared with you…when you have the basics you can do just about anything. I realize that it takes time to build up your inventory of tools etc….but be patient – make wise choices and you'll be happy!

- Note Card size and the plaid paper is 4 1/2" X 3"….You can make (2) cards from one of the sheets of paper in the paper stack. Remember, these are 6" X 6" and because you get 24 sheets of this plaid….you actually could make 48 cards from 1 pack of paper!
- The Always Artichoke is 4" X 2 1/4" and then stitched with the white gel pen. If you do not have this color, you could make substitutions, I just like Always Artichoke with Holiday cards….

- The crumb cake is 3 1/2" X 1 3/4"
- The "merry" sentiment was cut from white and also the vanilla coaster board.. I just love these super simple sentiment framelits. Remember, these framelits are in the bundle that I showcased over the weekend but you can purchase just the framelits….and they are just $17.00 – a true classic that you will use for many, many years!

- The leaves are from the Bird Builder Punch….this is one versatile punch that makes sooooo many things! I am always amazed at how you can take bits and pieces from our punches to create totally different ideas! You can see that this little addition just makes the FUN for this card! Remember, use up your scraps or better yet, use the Always Artichoke piece to pop out the image. I used the hand-held circle punch for the berries – easy!

- Back again is the Real Red Envelope Paper! I probably should have listed this in the above for being super affordable ~ this is just a dream to work with and again, remember….this is in the Holiday Catalog and I really….REALLY hope that it is carried over but if not, I would stock up as it will be perfect for Valentines Day! You get (20) 12 X 12 sheets for just $6.00. Just think of how far this will go!
I am back home from a wonderful WET several days at a Horse Show with Hannah. It was great fun and we are both used to being in the elements….horses, dogs, fun people….no time to thing or worry about the weather!
Please feel free to email me if I can help you and remember to use the hostess code of 4JUNK3R7 if you are placing an order! WHY????? Easy – this way you will be able to earn FREEBIES from me .click here to see the post…. plus don't forget about my Paw Prints Rewards….

by Susan Itell | Nov 8, 2015 | Step it up Sunday! |

Good Morning and here is Sunday fun to change up yesterday’s card. Please click here to see yesterdays post and then you can decide! I can already feel the "let down" that I have for you today...BUT….remember, there are many ways to do things and this is really a fun and rewarding technique to do!
I know that this one is totally different with the technique but it is fun and easy. I wish that the card had photographed better but trust me, it really is pretty in person!
The card is basically the same as far as measurement etc but you can see the BIG difference is the snowflake.

I used the watercolor paper and inked up the stamp with Versa Mark and then covered that with clear embossing powder ~ heat set it and then had fun with the Aqua Painter and the Night of Navy Ink.
I know that it is different but it really does make a fun yet artistic statement and you are always so surprised at how the navy just repels from the embossed image. I simply take a Kleenex and wipe away the excess – DONE!

The other change up I did was the BLING – I used the gorgeous Winter Wonderland Embellishments – aren’t this beautiful? They look like a real jewel and a glue dot on the back was all that was needed.

Yesterday I forgot to mention the envelope, Silly Susan …how could you forget the envelope! I used the real red envelope liner paper and I sure am hoping that this gets carried over….just in case I would purchase another pack as it will be perfect for Valentines day!

There you go my friends….I hope that you are not getting tired of these 2 day posts….if so – PLEASE give me some feedback as that is the best way for me to tell what to share with you!
Pace yourself with your projects…the calendar is on a roll…and you know what happens…..the calendar rolls and we get stressed! No stressing allowed….we do what we do to have fun….so go have fun today and I hope that you can have some "me time" to create!
p.s. – you will not want to miss tomorrows post…I promise, after tomorrow I will give you a couple day break on holiday cards but tomorrows card is a "Susan Card" that can be mass produced easily and trust me, it carries a HUGE punch!

by Susan Itell | Nov 7, 2015 | Simple Saturday |

It’s the weekend so that means that it is Simple Saturday here at Simple Stampin’ I know I feel like I have been doing a bunch of Holiday Cards but I promise, I’ll switch it up soon!
Before we get to today’s card I want to let you know that on Tuesday I will be mailing everyone that participated in the Holiday Card Swap put and then soon after I will start posting your beautiful creations! I know that you love to see your work and trust me, it brings me great joy to see and share your talent!
Let’s get going! Sometimes Christmas does not need to the traditional colors and I think that today’s Navy is so clean and crisp!
The base is Night of Navy (5 ½” x 4 ¼”) and then I used the thick white cardstock at 5” X 3 ¾” . I like seeing a larger border today as I think it makes the POP happen!

I scored all 4 side just one notch in with the Simply Scored Tool, just love this effect.
The stamp set that I am working with today is the Holly Jolly Greetings and the Christmas Greeting Thinlits Dies. This does come as a bundle and YES, you need to purchase both of these as they are fabulous! Take a peek on page 34 in the Holiday Catalog and you will see what I mean – a total keeper…can you see where my inspiration came from? Our catalog pictures are GREAT sources to get your Mojo going!

I would suggest that you use the stamp-a-ma-jig…because you are “building” words ~ the stamp-a-ma-jig will help you immensely. I know…I know – just try it – you'll like it….PROMISE!

Stamp the snowflake first and then I would place your “jolly” where you think you might like it but do not adhere it down. I then take a pencil line where you think you will want your sentiment to be and then stamp it!
I have great success with using a pencil line and then waiting to the ink to be completely dry and taking an eraser over it!
Let’s talk about the sentiment. YEP – I used the vanilla coaster board and cut the sentiment out twice to give it a lift. Here are a couple of things that I get asked a bunch?

- Where is this product in the catalog? It is on page 148 in the annual catalog.
- Does it cut through the Big Shot? YES, just like any other paper you would cut but you can only do one sheet at a time.
- What platform do you use? Before the precision plate came out, I always used the magnetic platform. Both work great but I will say, HANDS DOWN, I now prefer the precision plates as the cut is super clean!
- Why do you like using this product? EASY = I think that the lift it gives to a project is well worth the effort.
- What adhesive to you use? Green Glue all the time. If you get too much on, no worries ~ just let it “set up” a bit and you will be good to go with no oozing!
The simple piece of red stripe DSP (1” wide and from the Brights DSP Stack) and the navy strip (a sliver) was a simple touch that made a big difference. I just snuggled it in between the embossed scored lines.

I just could not resist….we have these BEAUTIFUL Metal Rimmed Pearls that are just THE BEST! Doesn’t this just make this card look super clean and classic? To me, it is well worth the effort of adding a cushion for mailing purposes!
I hope that you have the time to pop back tomorrow…I am going to do something that I think might surprise you..any guesses?????
