Woot-woot – it is the weekend! Today is the 1st day of the 2 day posting that I do on the weekends – today is a simple card….and tomorrow is the same card but I have just stepped it up a bit. What does that mean? – well, it could be some simple embellishments, extra attention to detail…but at the end of the day it is a clean and simple card!
This stamp set is one that I breezed right by in the catalog as I have no idea that the sentiments were as large as they are and when I realized that…..the EASY BUTTON was pushed and it came to little old Williamsport in the Brown Truck! It is appropriately called Adventure Awaits.
The main reason why I love these larger images is that THEY stand out themselves therefore the rest for us to do is very minimal. When I looked at these sentiments I thought that these would make great inspiration cards – sometimes it is hard to say the right words in "touchy situations" and to me – these sentiments are soooo encouraging and inspiring!
I forget about using framelits…do you? When I looked at the shape of the sentiment I thought – there has to be a framelit that would make this sentiment shine….yep – it's the Labels Framelits!
Once question I get asked quite often is….I purchase the paper stacks but I find that I always have a lot of paper left over after I used my favorites out of the stack. I HEAR YOU AND I FEEL THE SAME WAY….this card is a great way to use up the stacks!
Less is best….the dashes and dots around the Labels framelit add the bit of focal interest needed. Please , please do not stress about doing dashes – just go for it….darn – I can remember the days that I would use a ruler to make them exactly the same distance…times I used a pencil to make sure it is just right…..NO, NO, NO….it take too much time.Let your own hand be the guide!
Giving the envelope some love with the Envelope Liners Framelits Die was all that was needed! Giving your envelopes some love ALWAYS make a difference….once you are in the habit…you will always do it!
Please pop back tomorrow to see how I "jazzed it up" (just a bit) – you cannot go wrong with either card…the important part is that YOU made a card….that YOU had fun….and the YOU made someones day!
Please feel free to email me and below you will see the goodies that created this card for you today for you to shop away!!!
There are no words that can express the great appreciation I have to all of you that took your precious time to leave a comment on yesterday's SHEEP ROCK post…I laugh every time I see them (Thank you Mary Ann). Here is afunny….yesterday John had a breakfast meeting at the place I used to work and I gave him "Miss Pearl" to give to a special person I worked with…..
While John was eating his meal the person across from him said, "what is in your shirt pocket"(John wasafraid he would forget to take it to Regina if he left it in his coat)...John quickly said, that is "Miss Pearl" – my wife made it and she would kill me if I forget to give it to her friend….well – Miss Pearl was able to breath and sit on the table proudly while the speaker talked (John is the BEST)
Have a fabulous day…make some memories and I hope that you pop back tomorrow!
Good Morning! I am super excited to share with you these adorable sheep (well my sheep are a bit shaky) but the inspiration came from Monday's Challenge to create a 3-D project!
I wish you would have seen my face when these guys POPPED on my screen…they were LARGE and I thought that they were going to jump through the screen! These special guys/gals came from special Mary Ann H. from New Jersey!
This is what came through and I instantly fell in love with a sheep that had a green bow!
Now I ask you….would you fall in love! You will clearly see that Mary Ann's version is sooooo much better than my attempt….but it was fun and I had the BEST LAUGH making these!
I had "Rod Stewarts" with the hair…I had "giraffes" with STILT LEGS…it was just the best laugh I have had this year and I deeply thank Mary Ann for providing me with giggles!
I instantly LOVED them and I was in awe that someone could make these! (Remember my gig is simplecards!) and I instantly responded to Mary Ann if I could find out how to make them! You are in luck as she was soooo darn tootin' kind to share!
Wouldn't these be adorable on someones desk!?!? I think that I am going to make a BUNCH with a treat and have John put them on his employees desks saying…."hang in there" for Tax Season!
Here are a BUNCH of pictures…enjoy! After the parade of pictures, I will share with you Mary Ann's info on how she made them and then I ask you to PLEASE give Mary Ann some love with comments!
I will say that this is a perfect example of why I adore Stampin' Up! – If it was not for my blog, I would have never known Mary Ann. She is not a SUD but she sure should be – this is a perfect example of why I adore hobbiest….they have the passion and the creativity!
Here is the scary part…the Surgery Center! At the end of the post you will see all of the products that I used to make my "sheep friends" – please feel free to email me if you have specific question!
I hope that these made you smile and brighten your day like it did mine! Below see the scoop that Mary Ann was gracious to share! Is she the BEST or what!

Enjoy the day, let's give Mary Ann some love for her sheep and remember….SHEEP ROCK!
p.s. – I can't wait for Chris R. to get off work and see this post….she is a regular commenter that makes us all laugh!
Good Morning! I hope that you enjoyed the PALS blog hop yesterday….wowzers, there sure is a lot of fabulous talent and inspiration out there. I will say that seeing everyones post sure did make be feel like Spring IS REALLY going to be around the corner!
Here is one of the baskets I shared with you yesterday. Please click here if you want to go back and see that post. I just love beings able to use both the DSP and Solid Card Stock!
Here are some tips and tricks to make this be a successful and fun project! Please feel free to email me if you have specific questions that I am not going over. It is my goal to help you see how much fun they are!
The Vanilla Coaster Board is KEY. You know that I have blogged about this before as I think that it is the best to for cutting out the thinlit words….click here to see that post.
You get (8) sheets that are 6" x 12" and you can cut it down to 4 1/2" X 8 1/4" to make the baskets. You will have plenty of extras to cut out sentiments.
You will have to cut (2) bases for each basket and then the same for how you wish to decorate it. I like to use the scalloped edge for the "girls" and the straight edge for the "guys"
You can see below that I used sticky strip. You can use whatever you like but I always recommend sticky strip for 3D projects. It really is super strong and convenient!
Let's touch on the "brads" and the "pearls"…you will see below that I took a pencil line to mark the half way point for both the box and the rim.
I then met them together and you can pierce a hole or if you have a super strong hole punch…that does the trick as well! I just love this finishing touch!
I hope that you are smiling. I just love them and I am looking forward to filling them with all sorts of goodies. The ideas are endless, you can easily put candy…a gift…a gift card…a small flower and then cover the top with fru-fru grass.
Wouldn't they be adorable to use as a centerpiece this way with a bunch of differnet baskets and coordination colors! Just love them!
You will see all of the various products that I used to make these goodies. You can click on the photo and you will be directed to the product and view it.
If you order the Berry Basket Die from me, I will be glad to send you (2) pieces of Vanilla Coaster Board as well as a print and coordinating card stock to make a basket.
I realize that this die is an investment, but trust me – you will get so much joy from making these for your family and friends. It is one tough, sturdy basket! You will be close to the mark to pick a Sale-A-Bration item, so please order wisely to maximize your earnings!
I do hope that these types of posts help you….pop back tomorrow, you are in for a treat!
Welcome to the March Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating spring. This month we are featuring spring related projects for Mother’s Day, Easter or any other occasion that celebrates winter coming to an end.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Brian King at Stamp with Brian on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
I am hippity hoppity happy that I have a "jump" on Easter!
Confession time…when the Occasions catalog came out and I saw this Berry Basket…I flipped the page and kept on going! (Does this sound familiar to anyone)…then I said to myself – hmmmm…..I think I can do something fun with this!
Stampin' Up! has been doing a fantastic job with the product videos…these have really been a great help for us to learn about the product.
Today's post I am not giving you the details that I usually do but please pop back tomorrow and I am going to give you the "Susan in's and out's with tips and tricks" in how to create super fun baskets!
You could say that I am "TICKLED PINK" and I really think that when I break it down to steps…you will learn tricks to make these come together in no time!
The one thing that I love (well, there are many…..) is that you can use your paper stacks and it just uses 1 piece of paper. Also, I did emboss the solid color of paper with the large Polka Dot folder….so darn tootin fun!
Now did you see the "type A" in me come out? Yep….I am not a "staple gal" – I chose to pierce a hole and put a candy brad base and either candy dots (for the guys) and a pearl for the gals)
Even though my peeps are older you bet that they are getting a basket from Mom and Dad….you are never too old – heck I would love this if someone made one for me!
I prefer not having the handle on it, but that is just a personal preference! You will not believe how sturdy these guys are! Tomorrow you will learn the simple scoop but I will say that I do use the Vanilla Coaster Board (I am in love with this product).
I hope that you have enjoy this project and I hope that you will pop back tomorrow as I will give you all of the scoop that I know you enjoy!
I just think that these are just adorable and I do think that it is a product that can be used all year long with a variety of themes.
Stampin' Up! always comes out with super fun Bigz Dies to make us shine! Enjoy the hop as there is lots of hopping to do – please feel free to leave me a comment and I hope to see you tomorrow!
