Well I personally hope that this title of today's post is true as Fall is my hands down favorite season of the year. It is a time of the year that the colors are at their best….crisp and cool mornings….ginger snap cookies, apple cider….I just love everything about this time of the year!
Today's card is Fall at its best! I hope that this also shows you that using a Designer series paper as a focal point works! We are always to fearful to use our paper in this fashion but it does make a statement. This paper is from the Farmers Market DSP collection and this is one classic paper. (I think it gets overlooked but the colors and art work is just fabulous)
Now this is something that you do not hear from me often…both the the stamp sets that I used today come in bundles. They are Vintage Leaves and Among the Branches….You can click the images below in the scrolling store to see the details of each bundle but I would not recommend that you purchase the Among the Branches in the bundle. WHY?????
Easy = as the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is FREE from ME with any order this month of $75.00 +. This has been such a popular embossing folder and it is my pleasure to send it to you…remember to use the hostess code of YHNMUJNJ . You can click here to see the post that outlines the offering.
The color of Cajun Craze is Fall all over, it looks great super with Hello Honey….Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and many more but this POPS the DSP! I admit, I do not use it as much in the other seasons….so I try to take advantage of it now!
These leafs are just so detailed and beautiful. The matching framelits are a lifesaver and they curl so perfectly! Even once you put it in an envelope and then pull it out, they still have movement….(just work the fibers well with the bone folder)!
On the maple leaf I stamped it in Hello Honey and then took a sponge dauber with the Cajun Craze and lightly dap color over top and then stamped it. Love the effect it gives!
Did you notice that I took a piece of vanilla to make a little banner with the little leaves? WHY? Honestly, I just wanted to cover it as this is meant to be a "card" – not something that I will give with a treat! (the Sentiment says….Autumn Wishes and tasty dishes)
The finale, the envelope! I should ask you? Do you make your envelopes fun? I honestly can say that I do not have one card that leaves my house without something fun on the envelope….either lined or stamping on it….let me know if you do!
Where has this week gone? ZOOM….I have my head to the grindstone finishing up the product shares and SOTM kits….I will be away next week so I am trying to pull together a bunch before I leave!
Please remember to use the hostess code of YHNMUJNJ when you place an order! If your order is over $150.00 – you do not need to use it as you will get hostess benefits but please know that I will gladly mail you the fun goodies I have for you with the $50.00 and $75.00 threshold.
Please feel free to email me if I can be of help….tomorrow I will be turning the music up and getting a bunch done!
Thanks for stopping in and I hope to see you back tomorrow as it is something that YOU ARE GOINGTO WANT TO "HOP ON" and then on Sunday, please come back and see how I changed it up!

Good morning and I bet most of you have totally by passed these adorable bags that are in the Annual Catalog on page 151. I know that this might not be the most exciting post but I will say that this is a super fun product and the next time you order, add these to your order as the are perfect all year long for all sorts of occasions!
If you are like me….I might have a little goodie that I want to give to someone but I simply do not want a ziplock baggie. These are perfect and safe for food products and just about anything!
I did use the Halloween Washi Tape to seal the bag and it also makes it super cute! I also punched some holes in the bag to feed the fun cotton ribbon thru and added a simple Susan bow….
EASY…FUN & DONE!
These are little secret weapons that we all need to have and be able to have "on hand" just in case! As you can see, these little fun bags hold a bunch and for just 40 cents a bag….those DOTS are super fun!
I am a "happy" Halloween person, not a scary one and I think a little something like this is a perfect "pick meup for anyone….any age" I think we forget to make small cards but small cards are super to write that quick hand written note!
I am hoping that Stampin' Up! comes out with this ribbon in other colors as it is just fabulous to work with and I adore the texture that it gives….love it!
I hope that this simple post brought an awareness to you for thinking about "packaging ideas" that Stampin' Up! offers. I always try to keep a supply of our packaging to have "just in case" and I will say, they sure do come in handy!
Daisey was sooooo flattered to get some comments yesterday. She is a hoot and I will say that it is funny if we have someone come to our house that does not know that we have a pig….they are either scared to death of her (which makes me really laugh as she does not move to fast) or they say, "Did you know that there is a pig out there" – (This is the comment that I really like as we had someone working on our furnace and when he came up stairs and Daisey was asleep in front of the fire place….he say – "Hey lady…..lady – did you know that there is a pig in your house?)– priceless!
Look who is below…things are going to work out….and this is a testament of how things do happen for a reason. Milo is with us and his "Nana – Earlene" is going to have the joy from this little man as we are going to keep him and let him go over and have Nana visits.
She is thrilled and my heart is full of happiness. She calls me several times a day asking about him (and I do the same to her as I know she is smiling with each and every moment I share with her) He discovered Daisey late yesterday and darn I wish I had a camera – it was priceless and he was running for a ball with Eddie and he saw Daisey and stop dead in his tracks and ran right back to me!!!
On another great note – Eddie has picked up weight and doing very well…his TLC and your comments make him happy!
Until tomorrow! Very, very happy with this post as you will see "Fall is in the air" – I hope that you pop back!
Good Tuesday morning….we all unfortunately need to send sympathy cards and when the time arises, the last thing that you want to have to do is worry about what to make as you already have a lot on your mind. This is a simple yet classic sympathy card that comes together in a jif!
The stamp set, Heartfelt Sympathy is in the Annual Catalog and it is one beautiful set with fabulous sentiments. I used one of them in the inside of the card and it was the perfect message. As I say…a keeper.
This Designer Series Paper, Timeless Elegance is just beautiful…(do you remember how it was back-orderedfor such a long time when it first came out) – I can see why as it is a classic.
Today's card is a 4 1/2" square in Pear Pizzazz ~ it's fun to change up the base from the regular neutrals that we get so accustomed to and this is a color that can surprise you…it is soft and comforting but then it also looks super with some big and bold colors!
I did use the watercolor paper and the new black ink pad but honestly, I could have been just fine using very vanilla paper as there is just a tiny bit of water coloring in the pear pizzazz – you can really see it in person, that little touch makes the card!
Because this is a square card, yep – you will have to add additional postage (and I think we can say that it is will worth it) and because of this – I decided to add some pearls …these little gems again, make the simple card.
Doesn't this look great popped up? I think that it really "sets off" the designer series paper. If you look at the stamp that I chose and then look at the card, you will see that I took the smaller floral stamp (on the top right of the stamp set image) and I added this 3 extra times to fill up the space a bit more.
Because of the odd size card, the envelope was made using the Envelope Punch Board.Simple, fast – DONE!
It's Tuesday, so you know what that means….the TUESDAY WEEKLY DEALS! It is fun to look forward to this each week – do you have a favorite?
We are going to switch animals today….(the dogs are doing great) but I had a funny about Daisey! For our party we put the dogs down at the barn as I could imagine it would have been a 3 ring circus with them wanting to play and knowing them, they would have jumped in the pool…..
So earlier on Sunday James said – "What are you going to do about that "thing" – I really think that it is mean and evil that my family members make fun of her…..I told her that she would be fine and would just stay down at the barn….
Well about 1 hour into the party….in came the beauty queen and she was a hoot! The best thing was that she went to find John ( as she loves him) and darn, I wish that I had a camera as it was priceless seeing my very tall hubby walk with her about 3 feet behind him as they walked back to the barn.
I just LOVE My piggie! A face that only her Mommy could love! (these pictures were early in the morning and I cleaned her up ….how dare her to have a messy face on Party Day!)
Good morning and I need to start off this post by saying that I am soooooo incredibly blessed to be able to have so many cyber friends and customers that read my blog. As you know, my blog is a connection to who I am and what I am about.
Needless to say, yesterday was a very busy day for me and I dared not to let Earlene know that we were having this party at our house as she would felt so bad that I spent so much time with her and Milo on Saturday. (she does not have a computer so I know that she will not see this)
You all know me by now that I adore animals and I also hope that you know that I try to do the "right and joyful things in life" but I do not think that it is going to work out with Milo and Earlene.
She is scared that she is going to fall and trust me, I am being very patient and want what is best for both her and dear Milo.My heart is so torn as she has the "will to love and wants a companion"but she is scared.
I know that my blog should be (I need to admit to you….I think the word "should" be eliminated in the dictionary) but this is the way I am feeling right now – it has been a long day….it is past 10 p.m. and this is the first that I have been on the computer and between calls from Earlene, the shelter and having the party – I feel like saying….
I apologize that I am not sharing a project of inspiration for you today but as I say "Life is Life" and there is always tomorrow!
Please think of me….I am trying to do a good thing, but at the same time I need to be realistic and do "the right thing"…..I appreciate you all!
