by Susan Itell | Feb 28, 2015 | Birthday, Masculine, Super Easy |

Today is the most special day int he world to me as 28 years ago I had a dream come true…I became a Mom! My oldest "peep" is celebrating his 28th Birthday and I love to go down memory lane when the peeps celebrate their special days!
Will is the one that lives in Boston and is a Montessori Teacher to little ones! He is just the best (and always has been) with kids. They adore him and it is a joy to see him be excited to make a difference to them. He has just about "had it" with the snow in Boston but he is amazed at how well they have kept the roads clear.
One thing I try to do on a "peeps" Birthday is to do something special for me as well….kind of a reminder of being grateful for the best job in the world – being a Mom. Today I am going to treat myself for some "me" time to read a book and then also cook up a wicked yummy something….these are (2) things that Will loves to do!
Well….you are not here for my memory lane so let's get to the card! Will went to a very Southern College, Sewanee, University of the South in Tennessee. He loved it and it was a great fit for him. He started to wear "bow ties" when he went there and I thought that this would be a perfect card!
The size of the card is a 4" square card and the focal point is using the super fun, super must have Bow Builder Punch. This is just one fantastic punch and it really can be used in many ways – for cards like this, for gift cards, for tops of small packages etc…

The DSP of the bow tie is from the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack, (love those stacks) and building the bow is a cinch with the glue dots – PRESTO – DONE!
The colors of the card are Lost Lagoon, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand….great rich tones for a masculine card. Did you notice the scoring around the edges…such a simple yet effective touch for a card.
Well….thoughts??? I was happy and I hope that you pop back tomorrow for "Step it up Sunday" to see how I added just a bit of bling or should I say, "extra time" to make it just "stepped" up a bit!

Can you believe that tomorrow is March!?!?! I am thinking Spring….Please feel free to email me and also you can click below to order any of the products. I hope to see you tomorrow and remember, tomorrow is the day that you can start to take advantage of the new Sale-a-bration items….
Stampin' hugs and until tomorrow!
p.s. – I LOVED the comments yesterday about John…he is such a sweetie it really is hard to get mad at him! I adored all of the ideas and I think I am going to get him a pair of scissors and then laminate a tag that says "John's Scissors" and use a zip tie to attach it – he will get a kick out of it!
by Susan Itell | Feb 27, 2015 | Sale-A-Bration, Thank You |

Yesterday was a busy day but a great day! I am doing fantastic and I can start to put weight on it (a bit) and I have graduated to a new bootie (a couple of hours a day) but my BIG boot is still around for another 3 weeks! Many thanks to everyone – you all have been the best in reaching out and wishing me well….I can see the end – now that deserves a HUGE woot-woot!
Now let's get to the subject line….It's Johns fault – well are you wondering what that is about? Well it is because this bow…fru-fru – what ever you call it is his fault because he took my craft scissors again and I could not get a crisp cut but I think it is stinkin' cute!….(this time the scissors went to the barn to open a bag of horse feed)

This is one of the new offerings of Sale-a-bration items that will be available March 1st – March 31st! Please click here to see the flyer – lots of new fun and fresh ideas. Actually I have used a ton of Sale-A-Bration products on this card…this has just been a fabulous year of fun and fresh offerings – thank you Stampin' up!
The card is a 5" square card and then using the neutral of Sahara Sand and the Large Polka Dot embossing folder, the stage was set for a clean and crisp card!

Isn't this stamp set super fun! It is a coloring dream machine….no thinking here – just have fun! It is a 4 piece set and I think it is a super practical and fun set. Remember, with every $50.00 order you can pick this or any of the Sale-a-bration items for free! It is called For Being You.

I do love the look of taking 2 different colors and "piecing" them together to create interest to a card! There is nothing like the simple help of an embossing folder to help make that happen!
Now to the fun mess…I cannot tell you how I did it but I was just trying to tie a simple bow with the NEW In Color Accessory Pack with the Hello Honey and when I went to cut the bakers twine….not a sharp cut -out came the fun pom-pom trim… I was determined to make Lemonade out of Lemons…and I think it turned out cute! "Fraying" the bakers twine by running the piercing tool through it is a fun effect.

Exciting stuff! These 4 new Sale-a-bration items will surely get your head scratching as to how to earn them!
- How about a cyber event? I would love to get you a hostess code so you can earn them.
- How about having me do a stamp-a-stack or a class?
- How about a 3 month subscription for Paper Pumpkin?
Email me if you are just "itchin" to get more goodies and together we can come up with a plan.

Can you believe that it is Friday already? Wow – this week has ZOOMED by. I have had many people ask about my "knee scooter" – well I am still using good old Black Beauty and here is a picture of one similar. Since I have to have it around from a couple more weeks, I am going to jazz her up over the weekend!

I can get this thing ZOOMING…..it truly has been a lifesaver…just like YOU! I am the luckiest person in the whole wide world to have cyber friends like YOU!!!!
So this BIG THANK YOU card….is for all of YOU!
Tomorrow is a special day (well heck, everyday is a special day) but tomorrow is my oldest peeps Birthday! Please pop back and see the fun!

Good morning….today is the day that I get to go to the Doctors and get x-rayed and hopefully things looks GREAT and I can start putting weight on it and got movings! I told John last night that I wondered how many miles did I put "scooting" on my knee wheeler!
Fingers crossed I made this card to give to the office with some cookies (I doubled up what I made yesterday) – I hope that I am not jinxing myself but even if I have another week or so – they have all been great to me!

So…..are you wondering where this super fun sentiment came from? It is from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit. I am just thrilled that Stampin' Up! keeps coming out with these script style fonts in both these kits as well as with the stamps sets.

What is paper pumpkin? It is a little surprise that comes in the mail to you each and every month (if you want it) but you can also try it for one month….but the best way is to subscribe for a 3 month subscription to give it a try and you will save an instant $5.00.
You can click here get going and by doing this you will automatically qualify for a Sale-a-Bration Items of your choice. Best advice I can you is try the 3 months…you really have nothing to loose.

Check out the video of the February Kit. Click here and you can see how it can be used. I like to stretch it and try to use it in different ways and I can see myself using these stamp sets alone a ca-zillion times!
That is the fun thing about this concept…every month is different and it would be a great thing to do with several friends…here are the stamps for this month = WOWZERS…you can use them for all sorts of cards!

I know that some of you have tried Paper Pumpkin and just felt that it was not for you….I get that – that is what makes the world go around but I can honestly say that there was only 1 month that I simply did not like the kit.
I always find ways to use them and the way I feel about it, if it is not your cup of tea on month, I am sure that it would be a great gift to give (my godchildren love to put them together!)

As the commercial goes…"Try it – you might like it!" – They sure have come a long way with these kits and every month you are in for a new, fun and fresh treat. When John walks int he door with the mail and my red box was in the mailbox….he always says….."You're going to be happy – look what I have for you!"
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about the program. You can start it, suspend it a month or simply cancel if it not for you! I think that you can see with this cute card today, this "Paper Pumpkin" program is much more than a little read box!
Aren't choices fun! Until tomorrow!

I love that phrase and I am sure that we all know of someone that just brings "sunshine" into our lives. This little sweet card will be waiting on Branigan's desk when she gets to work tomorrow!
Branigan is working for John during tax season and is from Florida and just cannot get used to this cold weather! She is a wonderful young gal that also house/critter sits for us and she will text me saying…."I do not get it – is this normal?….if so why do people live here?
Her fiancée works at Camp David (yes, we do live near there) and they are only here for 2 years and this weather has been getting to her so I thought a cheery card and some homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies might do the trick!

I sure have been doing lots of simple cards and this is one that takes minutes. It is from the stamp set. Crazy about You and I think that we all know that this is an amazing stamp set as there are endless sentiments!
Having the Flower Medallion Punch makes this a snap to punch but I thought I needed to add a bit more so I stamped it several times in both Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo and did a quick fussy cut! (It really is not that bad at all to cut out)
Here is the quick scoop….the card is a note-card size and the next layer is 1/4 smaller – 4 3/4" X 3 1/4". I stamped of to the side the light pick flower and then also did another one up top! ( I think doing it this way allows your eye to go all over) and the let the "focal" flower be center stage!

The envelope received its love with the stamping on the front as well as this super fun and bright DSP from the Sweet Taffy Collection! LOVE the bright and bold colors!
Did you notice that I had 3 different shades of pink and they all blend together great! The inks, pink pirouette and melon mambo but then I used a wee bit of strawberry slush twine on the button. Please do not be afraid to mix colors, in the end they all blend together great!

I think that this Crazy about You set is an amazing one. Today is the 1st day that I have used it without the fun thinlit dies (this is on page 31 in the Occasions Catalog) and if you click here you will see a post that I did not only using this great bundle but also giving you a great opportunity to get this card!
If you purchase this bundle from me, I will not only send you this super cute card so you can see the "low down" on how to make it….(I started making them yesterday and they will be sent out later this week along with February Note.)

The best thing is….this bundle will get you very close to earning a FREEBIE from sale-a-bration if you get it in the Photopolymer but for you die hards that love the clear mount…this comes in that as well as wood! WOWZERS – 3 different ways – Stampin' Up! is the best.
I realize that some of you might want to wait to order on March 1st because of the new fabulous 4 offerings of Sale-a-bration….and no worries – I will still honor my offer to you!
Think SUNSHINE as Spring has just have to be around the corner. I know my little Florida friend will be smiling when she sees this bit of sunshine!
Stampin' hugs….until tomorrow!
