Happy Birthday to my wonderful brother Todd! We are 2 years apart and as my Dad always says…I am the Red Caboose of the family being the youngest!
It is hard coming up with masculine cards and I know that this will bring a smile to his face and hopefully yours as well! Todd is a fabulous Dad and his one and only is off to college next year….he is going to miss her so…
Let’s go…it is the weekend and I am sure that you have lots of fun plans and don’t want to take the time reading my long posts!!! CASE this card…as it is so easy and one to keep on hand…”just in case”!!!

- The card is the notecard size…I know – you are probably tired of this size….but I love it!
- Pulling out the Big Shot and the Squares Framelits…cut a square out of the front of the card…using the magnetic platform is a lifesaver!!!

- Next, I take a pencil and draw the square so I can have perfect placement for the fun sentiment!
- Pulling out the Stamp from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set…inking it up with Soft Suede and making sure it's straight with the Stamp-a-ma-jig….let's do it! Don't you just love that nice big and bold "Make a Wish"!!!

- Back to the Big Shot you go and now take (2) of the squares and cut a "frame" to place around the "hole" on the front of the card!
- Taking the star that is in the Stamp Set, I inked it with Midnight Muse and stamped away! (TIP: – Can you see how nice and crisp the images are…make sure your ink pads are well inked for great coverage!) I did stamp a couple of extra ones and fussy cut them out to POP them up with a Stampin' Dimensional! To the centers of the stars I placed a neutral candy dot…a fun touch!

- Do you see the candles? A cute touch that using a mini glue dot holds it in place perfectly!
- Envelope time…When in doubt…pull it out so out comes the Neutrals Designer Paper Pack and using the soft suede to match my card….PERFECT!!!!

Cute….right??? One thing that I would suggest is that you take advantage of the Perfect Pennants Bundle so you will get both – the great stamp set above plus the framelits and you will save an instant 15% right off the bat! WOOT-WOOT!!!

This is a fun technique in cutting out the front and stampin' a sentiment! Please share with me your work…I love and appreciate when you do!
Think about to me today as I am hopefully going to be a BIG sponge and learn some fun things at the Stampin' Up! meeting and workshop I am going to!
I am an email away for you….please reach out to me if I can be of help and thanks for sharing my love of stamping with your family and friends!
Enjoy your Saturday and until tomorrow!

Ok…are you getting tired of Birthday Cards? I warned you weeks ago that I had a ton of Birthdays and after tomorrow…you will get a break from them…promise!
This beautiful (in my opinion) card is for my friend…we were roommates in College…and she too is a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator! Her Birthday was yesterday so I couldn’t dare share her card with you yesterday!
When you talk about talent and sheer precision…that is MJ! She is one crafty lady and anything she touches is golden! I know that she will like this card and I hope that it brings a smile to her face!
I know you have heard me say before…when I make a card that I really like…I make a bunch of them…well this is one of them as it is clean, elegant, super simple, uses minimal products and has a WOW factor!
Let’s get going as I hope that this inspires you to HIT that SHOP NOW button and duplicate what I have done! I simply adore when you CASE my cards and I adore when you share with me your works of art from your heart! Remember…we ALL have gifts!

There are no rules….except – to have fun! So….let’s have fun! There is nothing more special and feminine than a soft, luscious pink!
- The base is Pink Pirouette but scored at the 5 ½” side making it a vertical card and the focal color of the card is Basic Gray!
- Pulling out the Vellum paper…and I ask you – have you used vellum lately? I sure haven’t but I am likin’ today’s card! I used my new best friend but I am still having some love/dis-like relationships with it….the White Staz On Ink….but the arrow is to the LOVE!

- There are 2 stamps sets that I used today, the Flower Shop which coordinates with the Pansy Punch ….super cute – super fun…these flowers are so whimsical and are also perfect "fillers" for a card!

- When working with vellum, it is always tricky with the adhesive…as many times you can see through it! With these flowers it was easy-peasy….mini glue dots to the rescue!

- BLING TIME – The basic pearls did the trick!!! You know me with my dot…dot…dots! – I decided to do them in pearls! WOOT-WOOT!
- Sentiment time…the Remembering your Birthday is the Stamp Set of choice!!! Love the softness that the White Staz On Ink gives!

- Last but not least..the envelope! When in doubt…pull it out! The Neutrals Designers Series Paper Stack was my pick today! True I lined the envelope but I needed to make the mail man smile….so I decided to “jazz up the front of the envelope” - Stampin up the front…I know that MJ will love and appreciate this!

I promise….tomorrow will be the last B-day card for a bit…and it is my brothers Birthday card….and it is super cute! It is so hard making masculine cards but I think that you will enjoy it!
What a great week it has been but I will say that I am looking soooooo forward to tomorrow as I am going to an event with a bunch of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators….and I will be doing a card swap so….WOOT-WOOT – I hope I have some keepers for you!

I thank you for popping by and remember, with every order for Sale-A-Bration, I will mail you a free swatch set of the DSP….a super handy tool!!!
The best compliment that you can give to me is to tell your friends about my blog….I love what I do and I love helping YOU!
Until tomorrow!

Have you ever met someone that the minute you "really….really" understood "what they were all about" you left feeling so positive and fulfilled?!?! Well, this is exactly how I feel about Hannah's riding trainer…he is one special guy!

I feel like I am always telling you a story…and I get many emails from people asking me where my inspiration comes from!?!?
Well since I am on the Design Team for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge I need to have my design in by Tuesday at 1 p.m. – I have had these 3 colors out since last week and I asked myself…what am I going to do with them. I love the colors but I simply did not have a light bulb moment!

I even asked John…what do you see? I loved his answer… "3 sheets of different colors of paper” Men…they make me laugh…especially John!
Well I know you get tried of hearing my “soap box” stories but it was Tuesday morning and I was picking the stalls…(I know some people call it cleaning…some say mucking – I just say picking!!! )

Here’s the quick (I hope) story…on Sunday night I received a text from Hannah’s wonderful trainer, Tom. Hannah’s horse – Oscar is in Gulf Port for 6 weeks. He is leased for the year to a wonderful lady! Tom sent me a picture of Oscar and a text letting me know that he was a good boy and won both of his classes…well being the proud Mom…my heart skipped a beat!
Back to Tuesday morning…I woke up super early still scratching my head as what card to create for the challenge…

THEN THE LIGHTBULB CAME ON…
All while picking poop! (sorry – I just could not resist) I was thinking about Oscar and how proud I am of him being such a good boy and taking care of this lady (funny, her name is Susan too)…
The barn’s colors are Navy and Grey (woot-woot…the challenge) and how appropriate – make Tom a card that looks like a ribbon in the colors of the barn! I did a woot-woot with the pitchfork in my hand!!

I was not worried about the wisteria wonder…heck – I can fit that in somewhere! Mission accomplished!
He adores Peanut M & M’s(only on Sunday’s) and I thought he would love a care package from me saying “thank you” and how much I appreciate him taking such good care of Oscar…so this is exactly how this happened today!
Below is a picture of Hannah and Oscar at a show…I truly do not know why…but I adore this picture…he is such a great horse and Hannah is such a great young lady – love them both to pieces!

I truly do try to make my cards for specific people and occasions…I was happy with this one as I know Tom will appreciate it! Let's go!

If you go to the Annual Catalog and look at the Blue Ribbon Stamp Set...there is a ribbon stamp but I had problem…I do not own that stamp set….(now that's a real problem) but then I thought – I will make my own ribbon and it will be done…..BAM!!!!

This was so easy….

- The last part of this sooooo simple card was the banners for the bottom of the ribbon! This is from the Banners Framlits! I swear, I do not know what I would do without framelits…they are true blue (ha-ha) lifesavers! Handy-dandy they surely are!!!

The finale to my care package is the "loot of M & M's" for Tom! He will love them and I tied it using today's colors!!!

Even of you do not play with the PALS this week….help me out…if you were to so something with these colors…what would you have done!?!?! I was really stumped this week….but Oscar and Tom to the rescue!
Last night's card making for Breast Cancer was wonderful! On my way home I called Stampin' Up! to tell them a big "thank you" for making us such great products and encouraging us to "do good" – that is what I feel each and every month as I know 1st hand how special cards meant to my Mom while she battled cancer!
Have a great day – please go and see the other works of art from the others on the Design Team and please consider playing along!!!!
Have you figured out a theme for this weeks posts…???
Put your thinking cap on and until tomorrow…..!!!!!
by Susan Itell | Mar 5, 2014 | Super Easy |

Woot-woot…it is Wednesday and I am soooo confused with the day of the week! This snow is getting to me…when I am off a day of work – I get in a tailspin…but one thing I know – it is the 1st Wednesday of the month and that means “happy times” for making cards for Breast Cancer Patients
How about this fun, bright and cheery card that would put a smile on anyone’s face…to me – polka dots…balloons…bright colors just make me smile – each and every time!
Can you figure out where this stamp is from?!?!?! It is from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit! I told you…the new Paper Pumpkin Program! This polka dot stamp is a photopolymer stamp and in this is you get 2!!!

Click here to see the video of the kit and the click here to see my post on the goodies that I blogged about when I received the kit!!! If you want one of these kits, please email me and I will be happy to send one your way!
If you go to the paper pumpkin website and sign up, you will receive a “starter kit” complete with a clear mounting block, a mini ink pad and an assortment of goodies to make some cards – BAM…done in a box!!!
Let’s get to today’s card! Fun …simple ….DONE!!!!

- The Card is an A-2 card base in whisper white!
- The colors of fun are Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise and Tangerine Tango and the stamp is super fun and from the Paper Pumpkin!
- I used a variety of circle punches to create an array of circles…the sizes I randomly used were, 1 3/8”. 1 ¼”, 1” and the mini circle!

- Tag Time!!! These are super easy to make now that we have the Angled Tag Topper Punch, Start out with a 2” wide piece of paper and then push it into the punch…a quick punch and BAM! I then cut a Tangerine Tango piece 2 ¼” X 3 1/4” and then trimmed the edges with a pair of scissors!
- The great sentiment came from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set but I used the markers and the brush tip to color in “just the spaces I wanted” – give it a “huff of stampin’ love and works like a charm!

I surely hope that this card brought a hue smile to your face and I hope you can see how versatile this card is…change up the sentiment and colors – you have one different card!!!

Please pop back tomorrow as it is a Pals Paper Art Challenge and I have a great story behind it….
Have a great day….I hope I inspired you and I hope I made you smile!
Until tomorrow!
by Susan Itell | Mar 4, 2014 | Thinking of you, Tips and Tricks!!! |

What is your favorite flower?
Well…hands down mine is tulips! I love the variety of colors and I love the "attitude" they have…like when you put them vase and they "droop over" in a very majestic way that always puts a smile on my face! Many times my Mom would pop by with a bunch of "tulips" and she would say – "They are for you because I know you love them"

This clean and simple card is another card for Breast Cancer tomorrow evening! This is simple and just think of the color changes you could do! This stamp, from the Blessed Easter set, lends itself to water-coloring…and guess what…you are probably like me and waiting for the new "Blendabilities" Markers to come out…Stampin' Up! said it would be in the 1st quarter…soooooo it will be soon! Yippee!!!!

If you notice – this is a single stamp and it only is available in Wood Mount…and I think it is super just like it is…but I thought it would be more vesatile for me if I "cut" it into 2 stamps! True – I could mask-it and use it that way…but it is so easy to cut the sentiment from the tulips…so presto!

Let's get to why you are here and I do hope that you CASE away as it is a perfect Spring Card….for a "just because"… "thinking of you"…"thank you" and of course a lovely Easter Card!

- The base is the note card size and then the Whisper White is 4 1/2" X 2 3/4" and then the Pink Pirouette is 4 3/4" X 3"
- Start with the water color "blotches" from the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set…I stamped it in So Saffron and I stamped "it off" before stamping it on my card…why? I was looking for a very soft effect of a spring yellow!

- Time for the Tulips! I used the brush end of the Old Olive and Strawberry Slush! This is such a simple technique and it allows you to "ink" very precise….before you stamp…give it a "huff of Stampin' love" to keep the ink moist….stamp – perfect each and every time!
- The last part of Stamping is the sentiment….this is from the Wetlands Stamp Set! I thought that this font was a perfect flow for the tulips!

- I popped up the focal part of the card with the best stampin' vitamins in the whole wide world, stampin' dimensionals – I would not ever….EVER be without them! They are the best and the easiest way to create a simple yet classic card!
- To the envelope we go! When in doubt…pull them out! The Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack to the rescue! I loved the print of this paper…very fitting for the card! (click on the picture to make it larger)

That's it…a super easy card…you didn't need me for this one!
Every month when I do my Breast Cancer project, I try to design cards that are uplifting, beautiful, thoughtful and fun! It seems like I am always doing florals and it is hard not to use some sentiments as the people that receive these cards are in treatment – and we have no idea how they are doing in their treatment with this terrible cancer.

This card will brighten someones day…and hopefully inspire them for Spring! Remember, we are in the final stretches of Sale-A-Bration….so do not miss the opportunity to get a FREEBIE with every $40.00 you spend – to "sweeten" the fun – I personally will send you a swatch book that I made with the DSP!!!
(I will be mailing out today the swatch books from order I received last week!) These come in handy sooooo much! When you are sitting down to work on a project – it is great to pull the swatches out andgo to town!

Please pop back tomorrow as I will share with you a FUN card that will make you smile the minute you see it…It is bright, fun, fresh and happy!
I thank you for spending your coffee with me! I apoligize with the delay yesterday…I do not know what happened…but I thank you for being a "team player" and being patient!
Stampin' hugs to you and enjoy your day….
Until tomorrow!
