Today is a very special day for me…many of my friends…but more importantly a day that is special to a very beautiful lady and friend, Catherine Ann! Today, May 30th is the last day of treatment for my friend as she has been battling breast cancer!
Today's card is simple…uncomplicated…beautiful…peaceful and elegant = everything that reminds me of Catherine Ann! We celebrate YOU today and I personally thank you for the inspiration and courage you show to so many….WOOT-WOOT for today!
One of the things I love about blogging daily is that I can intertwine my own "life" messages through my blogs…much like I do when I sit down to create cards! Please know how important and powerful it is to send a note letting someone know that you are thinking of them and care!
This IS the reason I make cards for Breast Cancer patients, as I know 1st hand from my late Mom…that it was the cards and wishes that brought daily joy to days that she was simply "down"…
I found this image and it spoke to me as it truly reminds me of everything that not only Catherine Ann stands for…but also how her family lives their daily lives! Catherine Ann has the most incredible husband in the world and 3 boys that are her "bear-cubs" that love and support their Mom so….I hope that you enjoy this and it can reflect to your outlook on life!

- Very Vanilla was my base color of choice and then I cut another piece of Very Vanilla just a 1/4" smaller….5 1/4 X 4" and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder!
- TIP – I put pieces of Sticky Strip on the back BEFORE I emboss….makes it super easy to peel off and not loose the beautiful embossed image from pressing too hard when you place it!
- Using the Big Shot again, I cut out in Vanilla and Raspberry Ripple the Top Note Die!
- Using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig ( as I find it always to be a life saver…) I stamped my image in Raspberry Ripple with the amazing sentiment from the Feels Good Stamp Set!

- I did "roll" the butterflies around a pencil to give it "flutters" and then used a tiny piece of Stampin' Dimensionals for "lift-off" – but the main "lift" came from when I DOUBLED mounted the Stampin' Dimensionals behind the Top Note to really lift it up!!!
- The envelope is super cute and clean with a perfect designer paper from the Print Poetry Paper Stack….just love this paper pack!

Well, that's it….A super quick and simple card! I do hope that you CASE it and whenever you do…please think of Catherine Ann and her bravery to continue to "soar" through life!
If you wish…please leave a comment for Catherine Ann…I think we all know of someone that has had to face times of challenges and I know all of you out there know exactly where I am coming from!
Tomorrow is our SUPER exciting day!
Tomorrow's post I will be sharing with you the 10 things I need to order
from the NEW catalog without thinking twice!
Remember, today is the LAST day to take advantage of getting a starter kit for $99.99 and you can pick $155.00 worth of ANY product – Click here and have fun….then if you wish – turn around and get any of the NEW CATALOG for 30% off….and not have to place another order EVER or not until the end of October if you wish….
I just LOVE Stampin' Ups! motto….of doing it…"My Way"…..
Until tomorrow……

This is a bittersweet week for many of us Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators as we are saying goodbye to some of the retiring products! These
2 stamp sets are on the “bye-bye” and they are truly some of my favorites!
I often get asked…Am I no longer allowed to use
them…simple = no, not at all! In
fact there are many stamp sets that I will keep to use for my personal use and
my volunteer card making for Breast Cancer, but I will not show them on my blog
simply because we have soooo many super new things coming your way…
I will be selling many of my stamp sets, so please feel free to email me if you would like me to send you a list of the stamp sets that are for sale. In the subject line…just put Stamps for sale!
So…the moral of the story is…make sure that you check out
the retired list to see if you simply cannot live with out something and if
not…I say – WAIT FOR THE NEW CATALOG! We all know we like bargains…but the new
goodies are great!
I am “tickled PINK”
with this card…I just love pink, grey and black together – always so clean and
crisp – and can you say F U N –
there is just something about this that just rocks!

Here you go….
- The base of the card is a regular A-2 card base
in Basic Grey.
- The Pink Pirouette is cut at 4 X 5 ¼ “ and then
I cut a piece of Whisper White at 3 3/4 X 5”
- I always put a small piece of snail to the back
and adhere it to a piece of copying paper to stamp my images so I do not get my
work area messy!
- I used the same size framelits and cut out 2 in
Pink Pirouette!
- I then cut the next larger one with Basic Grey
to give it a bit of contrast! Love it!
- I strategically placed the 2 pink ones behind
the sentiment and then put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the pink to
adhere to the grey!

- Now to the envelope…cute – right? I simply took
a piece of whisper white 3” X (one little notch in from) 5 ¾” on the Stampin
Trimmer (works like a charm every time) and then randomly stamped like I did
the card!
- I always use the 2- way glue pen to adhere my
liner to the envelope…just run it around the edges of the flap!

TIP – When you go to order ( and yes…I know you are going to
order as soon as the new catalog comes out!!!) order 2 of the Stampin’ Pierce
Mat! Why??? They are incredible to stamp on especially when you have a LARGE
stamp…works like a charm BUT you need to make sure you do not pierce this one…1
for piercing , 1 for stampin’ !
Saying bye-bye is not easy sometimes but it will be worth it
in the end! Stampin’ Up! Does such a fabulous job in keeping us up to date with
the latest in products and technology!
Speaking of technology….I need to get back to playing with
MDS…the great sale of 25% off ends on June 15th and that will be
here before you know it! Think about creating cards that you can order a dozen of to keep on hand….you can always add ribbon, embellishments etc…to make it your own!
Hope you enjoyed today's post….until tomorrow!

When I sat down yesterday to create some cards for you this week…I took a look at some of the NEW products that I purchased with the pre-order…and then wanted to use something that I have not used yet! I was excited to use this wheel as I do not think that we use them enough! (Click on the picture to really see the fun!!!)
BINGO – the NEW Stampin' Gingham Wheel POPPED out to me! I love these wheels but I do not use them as wheels…I make them into stamps! How can you go wrong for a stamp like this and it is only $6.50!
If you have never tried this before….DO IT! Simply peel back where the seam is and place it on the sticky sheets – Clear Mount Cling Foam…and PRESTO – you have a stamp!
TIP – I know it seems a bit unnecessary….but trust me on this one – the Craft and Rubber Scissors are the best when cutting through this foam as well as cutting rubber stamps!

- The base started with the whisper white A-2 card!
- Cutting another piece of whisper white at 5 1/4" X 4" and then stamped the Gingham Stamp using the Stamp -a-ma-jig for perfect placement in Real Red!
- After seeing these little guys running across the card….the Oh, Hello Stamp Set seemed to be the perfect sentiment for this! Once again, the Stamp-a-ma-jig made it easy-peasy!
- I adhered this on a piece of Real Red Card Stock….just 1/8" larger…just enough for a bit of POP and then I used Stampin' Dimensonals to lift it up!
- I should have also stamped the envelope….but honestly did not think of it at the time…I used the Neutral Designer Series Paper to line the envelope and WOW – looks sharp!

I must say…I like this card! It makes me smile…I just love those little birds running across this fun border! Too darn cute!
The countdown has is on…THIS IS THE WEEK FOR THE NEW CATALOG…are you as excited as I am! I feel like a little kid looking though the Christmas Catalog…picking out toys I wished for!
Another countdown is on…this is the last week to take advantage of getting $155.00 worth of products for only $99.00! That is a great deal in itself and then you can turn right around and get your next order ( which would be all of the NEW stuff) for 30% off….that is less that I can do!
Hobbyist like myself are the heart of our business…I welcome hobbyist as I feel "we" are the ones that like to create…get excited…and do what we do cause' we just love playing around with great goodies!!!! The inspiration that comes from being a PAL…is not only amazing…it is just plain fun!
Click here and you can get going today…and then you will be ready to rumble to get the new goodies all at 30% off…also when you place an order – you receive all of the hostess benefits and 1/2 price items….WOW…WOW…WOW!!!!
Until tomorrow….

O.k. – We are home from a fabulous 4 days away being with family and friend celebrating my son's graduation from college….well….let me tell you – going away is no easy feat for us as we are the proud Mom's and Dad's to 5 dogs and 1 dear pig….3 horses and 1 mini donkey!
Take that all in and you can see that it is not easy going away! Today's post might not relate to a bunch of you….but I hope that you can – "feel" the love for the wonderful "sitter" of our "indoor" friends while we were gone!
Sherry was a true sport…as this was the 1st of her being with our little friends! Having someone around was wonderful and not only were they great…we had a fabulous time not worrying one bit!
My children….Murphy, Eddie, Jack, Charlie, Jack, Norman and precious Daisy-Mae…had soooo much fun with Sherry and they are giving her this special card and fresh cookies! ( what a way to one's heart….hopefully she'll come back!!!!)
Here you go, again – I know that this might not relate to many of you…but the materials used for this card are total keepers and soooooo much fun to work with – "think out of the box!!!!"

- The base of this card is in my "go to" Crumb Cake cut into a 8 1/2" square scored at 4 1/4"
- The "bones" were a cinch to make, using the soft suede paper cut into 1/4" X 1 3/4" strips with the help of a small heart punch on the ends made it happen!!!
- Using the paper piercing tool and punching 3 holes in the "bone" , I simple added 3 neutral brads !
- Adding a couple of "hearts" and sponging the edges with the soft suede added a bit of fun!
I hope that you found this post fun…and I hope you enjoy meeting "my other children"!!!! Please let me know your thoughts and who touches your "heart"
Until tomorrow!!!…..enjoy the pictures!
