Good Morning and here is another card from that fantastic stamp set, Heartfelt Sympathy. Do you remember last month when we did that fun poll of favorite stamp sets and this one was not on the list but many of you said that it should have been on there and guess what – YOU ARE RIGHT!
![138764G 138764G](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d136df23970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
This is the 2nd time I have blogged about this stamp set before and you can click here to see that post! I am using both of these cards for swaps at convention. I think that we do not show enough options for sympathy and this set is just fabulous!
It truly is as easy as 1-2-3! Here you go with the scoop!
![IMG_9608 IMG_9608](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/6a017ee666297a970d01bb0855b94d970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
- The adorable print paper (1 1/2" X 5 1/2") is from the Pretty Petals Stack – (I adore the 6" x 6" size and the fun and fresh prints) Because you get (4) sheets of each print, think about it…you could make up 16 of these cards and then use another coordinating paper to line the envelopes if you wish!
- The pacific blue is 2" X 4" and then the sentiment piece is a smidge smaller stamped in Old Olive
![IMG_9614 IMG_9614](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/6a017ee666297a970d01bb0855b99e970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
- I took (4) strands of bakers twine and made a simple bow ( I think adding extra pieces really does make a fun effect.
- The envelope line was the reverse of this print….it truly makes a great card!
![IMG_9610 IMG_9610](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d13b0a5c970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
See how easy this is…you can do it – right? This is a card right up my alley as it is fast but it is still super fun and sweet and we both know that whomever gets this card will feel the warmth and love from this beautiful sentiment.
You know how easy this is…you can click that SHOP NOW button or click on the image in the below scrolling store! This is a total keeper and I think you can see how great it is from the (2) posts I have done showcasing this!
![IMG_9615 IMG_9615](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d13b0aad970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
You know what today is….DEAL DAY! Please click here to see the offerings this week. Remember, not all items will be available all week as there are limited quantities on some of the items…so if you see something that "you just cannot resist", I say go for it!
It is hard to believe that tomorrow I will be in Salt Lake. I am so excited but also a bit apprehensive with being on my wheeler by myself. I know that once I get there I will be "good to go" being with the Pals! (It is a great thing that I have a non stop flight)
![IMG_9617 IMG_9617](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/6a017ee666297a970d01bb0855ba16970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
I am going to share with you tomorrow if I had a magic ball, things that I wish Stampin' Up! would unveil with the new upcoming holiday catalog (It will be fun if any of my wishes come true)
Please feel free to email me…and I hope that this post shows you that a cute card does not need to be hard!
Until tomorrow…..

We always need to have these card unfortunately but I will say that this card is one that will never let you down as it is just classic and beautiful! Have fun changing up the colors that you use and play around with different DSP for the envelope fun!
A week from today Stampin Up! will be sharing with all of us the list of retiring stamps and that can be a sad day for us but it also can he a HAPPY day for some as they will be able to get some good buys! I have said countless times before that I do keep stamps that are my favorites/touch my heart and if this stamp set is on the bye-bye list – snatch it up and if it is not….put it on your list to purchase.
This set is called Love & Sympathy and the reason I love it is the fact that it has (3) stamps and you use all (3) with one card…plus it is only $11.95 in the clear mount…woot-woot – a win – win all the way around.
![122797L 122797L](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d10257ee970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
The card foundation is from the note-card size in whisper white and basically everything is sooooo darn straight forward. To me, the stamp-a-jig was a key tool fro me and I was able to whip up several of these cards in no time.
![IMG_7290 IMG_7290](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d1025973970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
When we need a sympathy card, it is so wonderful to have some already made up ready to go as timing is so important! This card will hold up to any card that takes hours to make…this is one of those Wham-Bam cards that you can crank out many in no time.
![IMG_7293 IMG_7293](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/6a017ee666297a970d01b7c778cf47970b-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
I simply used the stampin' up! markers in Old Olive and Wisteria Wonder with the brush tip to color the floral stamp and then gave it a quick "huff of stampin' love" and then presto – a great image.
The sentiment was inked up with and again, the stamp -a- ma-jig helped me with perfect placement.
![IMG_7294 IMG_7294](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/6a017ee666297a970d01b7c778d086970b-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
I made a bunch of these cards so I maximized my DSP and also used a 1/4" of Old Olive so I could get (12) envelopes lined from one sheet of paper. I adore these paper stack!
![IMG_7297 IMG_7297](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/6a017ee666297a970d01b7c778d59c970b-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
I have received some super fun and cute challenges from yesterday – please remember that you can email me your picture of your card until 9 p.m. tonight (eastern) and you could win a white gel pen…there is so much fun talent out there!
You know what today is….the unveiling of the weekly deals…what is your favorite? Thanks for popping in today and I hope that you enjoyed my clean and simple card!
Until tomorrow!

Today's card I was super excited when I sat down and started to create it. My circle punches were still out from yesterday's card and I thought, what the heck – why not do a quick punch…run it through the Fancy Frame Embossing Folder and let the simple floral image pop through….GREAT IDEA RIGHT?…..Well…..SPEED BUMP!
You can see that I did a vertical card and below you will see the tips I shared…I was so excited and thought – wow, this is super easy. I colored it on with the Blendabilites in the Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. Still saying to myself…this is so easy and then I opened up the card and this is when the speed bump came…I forgot how the blendabilities bleed through! Silly me……
![IMG_2754 IMG_2754](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d0663f0d970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
Plan "B" went into action and I simply cut the image and adhere it behind the cut out circle piece and used sticky strip to adhere it! I have lots of pictures for you….so I hope you enjoy!
![IMG_2757 IMG_2757](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d06640fe970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
This stamp set is just beautful. It is a hostess stamp set and WOW, it is beautiful! Please email me and together we can get a plan for you to earn this!
![133949G 133949G](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/6a017ee666297a970d01b7c6dc50b0970b-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
You can see how much thos set lends itself to the blendabilites or a simple water color! I did also stamp that beautiful sentiment in the inside of the card….a clean, simple yet elegant card!
![IMG_2758 IMG_2758](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/6a017ee666297a970d01a73e1231df970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
I am really enjoying these new markers….true there is a learning curve but once you play around…they really are fun! I stil have a long way to go to master them but remember – BABY STEPS…and always remember to have fun!
![IMG_2759 IMG_2759](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/6a017ee666297a970d01a73e1231ee970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
A simple piece of the Hello Honey Satin Ribbon was the perfect yet subtle touch. I used a glue dot to adhere the "simple knot"
![IMG_2760 IMG_2760](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/6a017ee666297a970d01a73e12324c970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
Now to my favorite part…the envelope! I hope that you are smiling – remember the tip I shared on the below photo…it is very easy to color the envelope but don't forget to put that scrap paper in!
![IMG_2763 IMG_2763](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d0664424970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
There is plenty of room to address the envelope I love this liner from te Moonlight Paper Stack! Doesn't this make a beautiful card! One that can be easily duplicated and a suggestion would be to make a bunch at one time!
I like to have projects ready to play with if I am waiting for an appt….being in the car….(I can get LOTS done when we take road trips!) Seriously, go ahead and stamp the image (remember to use the Memento Ink) and get a container to keep everything tidy…add your markers and then work away!
![IMG_2764 IMG_2764](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/6a017ee666297a970d01b8d0664486970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
The color schemes that you could change up could be endless! The variety of textures and shapes create a classic look!
Get ready for fun tomorrow…it is the BLOG HOP and the Pals are showcasing products they love from the new Holiday Catalog! There are over 31 Hops….so get ready for inspiration to the max!
Tuesday…..you know what that means, click here to see the weekly deals! Thank you Stampin' Up! for doing this!
Enjoy the day and until tomorrow!

The minute I saw this stamp set I knew that it would be making its way to my home…isn't it simply beautiful! This is a "hostess stamp set" and I think Stampin' Up! has out done themselves this catalog with all of the great offerings!
This was an easy-peasy card to make and one that would be easily a great layout to "mass produce", perhaps change up the sentiment etc…I know that I used a bunch of paper today but I think all of the layers "make it" and you know me…I take FULL ADVANTAGE of saving paper and the pieces that are covered up…I have popped out with punches!
![133949G 133949G](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a73dd85a66970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
I always try to make my posts for all levels of Stampers but I want you to know how you can earn a hostess stamp set like this – there are several ways!
- If you have an order that totals over $150.00, that automatically means that you have spent enough to earn $25.00 in hostess dollars and this stamp set is $23.00 (wood) and $17.00 (clear)
- If you wish for me to give you a hostess code and you obtain orders from family and friends (they will be shipped directly to them so you do not have to live in the same area) – you can earn hostess dollars
- If you wish for me to teach a class or have a one on one with you I would LOVE it…(I have even had skype sessions to help people learn techniques)
See the below chart and you will see the various levels of earning potentials!
Remember, all orders that are placed through me this week will have the opportunity to win the hostess dollars from my sales this week…just put in the hostess code of YJ4EWY3C and you could be the lucky winner!
![Screen shot 2014-05-16 at 7.42.05 PM Screen shot 2014-05-16 at 7.42.05 PM](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a73dd88a1b970d-800wi.png?w=1080&ssl=1)
Lets get to the card today! This was so much fun to make and WOW – easy as pie!
![IMG_0948 IMG_0948](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a511cd3889970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
The base and the envelopes are the new Crumb cake Note card & Envelopes and I am so happy that they have come out with this in this color! To me, this is the perfect size for a quick note! Here you go – I have the dimensions for you but I really….REALLY want you to try this easy technique!
- You can see that there are many layers and it is these layers that help create the simple WOW factor for this card!
- The Water Color Paper (and YES – use Water Color Paper) is 2 1/2" X 3 1/2". I simply took the markers in the following colors: Hello Honey, Old Olive, and Soft Suede and colored the stamp with the brush tip end.
![IMG_0958 IMG_0958](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a73dd8890e970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
- Using a super simple tool that think we all forget about and heck – you get (2) for just under $3.00…I did a quick "Spritz" of water on the stamp and then stamped it to the Water Color Paper….MAGIC – it is a bit wet so be patient and let it dry!
![126185L 126185L](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a3fd1dcf83970b-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
![IMG_0956 IMG_0956](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a73dd88917970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
I matted this onto a piece of Hello Honey that is 2 5/8” X 3” and then onto a piece of Soft Suede that is 3” X 4”.
The Crumb Cake is 3 ¼” X 4 3/8” and then I wanted to use the new satin stitched ribbon in Hello Honey so I did a simple diagonal wrap around this piece before adhering it down! This ribbon is great to work with!
![IMG_0954 IMG_0954](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a511cd53bc970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
Now you can add the layered water colored piece and POP it with Stampin’ Dimensionals! WOWZERS! The font on the sentiment is super cute…and a simple mat of soft suede is all that is needed!
TIP: When you have a small sentiment like this, I find it easier to use the brush end of the marker than using the stamp pad. Sometimes I get too much ink on the stamp and it blotches! (That’s the type A in me…)
![IMG_0953 IMG_0953](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a73dd88932970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
Let’s talk about this stamp set again. When saw it and I knew about the blendabilities I was doing this HAPPY DANCE as this is a PERFECT stamp set for these new markers. I will do a future post using these markers!
I lined the back flap today with the Moonlight Designer Series Stack and it was the fast, finishing touch!
![IMG_0950 IMG_0950](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a017ee666297a970d01a511cd5402970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
Please do not be afraid to try water-coloring. It is really fun and it does make you feel like an artist at heart!
I always wanted to be able to paint…my art classes in school were not the best – I made great “stick people” and mastered a "primitive tree with leaves"…but when I do a card like this…I stand back and I am proud of myself!
That’s a feeling that I want you to have as well – you can do it…wouldn’t this be super fun in sooo many color palettes? Please give it a whirl!
I hope that this card has inspired you today. I was very pleased with it…hopefully you can find some “me” time and play with paper this weekend!
As always, I appreciate your comments and if you need to email me…please do so – I love what I do and I love helping you! Until tomorrow!

Happy Tuesday to all! I am back and my time schedule is all off but I am ready to get to some inspiration for you this week!I am "over the moon" happy that you enjoyed the cards from the Spring Swap! I have enjoyed reading the comments as you all have been receiving cards!
This is a busy week for many with Easter being on Sunday…many children are off school…many of you are traveling and many of you are probably expecting company!
Do you remember last week I shared with you that John asked me to make a sympathy card for a client’s family and even though he loved it…he thought it was too feminine! I “get it” but I will say that it is a beautiful card!
My inspiration came from fellow PAL Windy Ellard and she used something similar in a totally different way! She used it as a Mothers Day Card and the base was a bold Primrose Petal Card Stock! I know that I have shared with you a ca-zillion times before but here you go again….(My wonderful Mom used to say… you can’t hear a good thing too many times!!!)
When you find a layout that works…go for it – it's your new friend for life!
Use it over and over again – simply change out the colors of paper…perhaps tweak the sizes of paper…change out the sentiment and PRESTO – another gorgeous creation from YOU!!!
This is one of those cards..a true keeper but what I adore about it is the amount of “white space” or should I say Very Vanilla! Let’s go…it feels great to be back blogging!
![IMG_5199 IMG_5199](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/6a017ee666297a970d01a3fcef0d96970b-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
• The base is Very Vanilla A-2 size and then I cut my mat piece at ¼” smaller = 5 ¼” X 4” • Using the Honey Comb Embossing Folder I ran it thru my main stampin’ man…Mr. Big Shot! Isn’t the effect wonderful!
• Cutting a piece of Very Vanilla to 3" X 3 3/4" and then using the Field Flowers Stamp Set, I Stamped the image letting the stem go off the bottom of the paper!
![](https://i0.wp.com/www.stampinup.com/images/EC/122762L.jpg?resize=400%2C400)
• In the picture you see below, you will see that I actually double stamped this! You can see in the picture of the stamp set that there are 2 flowers…always stamp the lighter color 1st and then the darker color with the other stamp! (I used pink pirouette and Primrose Petal) …also – ( I only did the 2 tone on the big flower – I do not think the smaller one needs to be done twice!!!)
![IMG_5191 IMG_5191](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/6a017ee666297a970d01a5119eb4ec970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
• Pulling out the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig…I stamped the sentiment that is from the Stamp Set Petite Pairs in Primrose Petal. This is a great Stamp Set that is often over- looked!![](https://i0.wp.com/www.stampinup.com/images/EC/122497L.jpg?resize=400%2C400)
• Now you can mat this to the primrose petal that is a smidge bigger and I POPPED it up with Stampin' Dimensionals but before you adhere it down….
![IMG_5203 IMG_5203](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/6a017ee666297a970d01a73da9c507970d-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
• Here comes a little fun – take a small piece of Primrose Petal Ribbon and fold it over and then anchor it with a piece of sticky strip or even tape (you’ll never see it) and then tie a super simple bow with the natural tread from the gold bakers twine!
TIP ALERT: – How did I do that???….easy peasy..I really wish we had a vanilla bakers twine but you can do it…just simple “pull” the gold thread from the bakers twine and voila’ – DONE!
![IMG_5198 IMG_5198](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/6a017ee666297a970d01a5119eb5f6970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
- The only thing left is old faithful lining the envelope! What would we have done without the envelope framelit liner? It is a totally keeper! The liner is from the In-Color Designer Series Paper Stack a simple “go-to” that always work!
![IMG_5195 IMG_5195](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/6a017ee666297a970d01a5119eb61e970c-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
I hope that you can visualize how practical this card layout is! I will admit, I forget about using the embossing folders and my friend Jeanie always says …”Why not – they are the best bang for your buck”…and once again, she is right! Just think, for just $7.95 look at the WOW effect it gives this card!
Now I need your help…please give me some feedback as to how you like below the way I am listing the products used! All you need to do is click on the image and it will take you right to my on line store….but you will also be able to visualize the image larger!
You have heard me say how amazing Mary Fish’s PALS team is…well – a wonderful hubby of a PAL developed this and I am just amazed!!! It does save me a bunch of time but I welcome your feedback!
True there is a learning curve for me as I am like an "Old Horse" – I just keep doing things over and over as it works! I am "game" for learning new things but I appreciate your feedback!
![IMG_5197 IMG_5197](https://i0.wp.com/simplestampin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/6a017ee666297a970d01a3fcef1615970b-800wi.jpg?w=1080&ssl=1)
Today is the magical day that my husband can see the end of the Tax Road – yeah – April 15th….he has been working so hard for the past several months…I have something special up my sleeve to do with him after work on Wednesday! Let's hope for great weather and I think I can get the mission accomplished!
Please feel free to email me and please op back tomorrow as I have a super fun card that Jeanie and I took a class on – it looks hard….but it is easy-peasy!!! The best thing is that Jeanie figured it out to make it in an A-2 card for the Spring Swap!
I made it as an odd size….just like I like it – so until tomorrow!

If you follow my blog regularly you know that I absolutely adore my husband…my best friend…my wonderful John! There are many of you that always ask how is he doing…and the answer….GREAT!!! I will say he is a bit stressed with "Tax Season" but his legs are doing GREAT and we actually went for a 2 mile walk after he worked yesterday!
Last week John lost a client that was very special to him…a wonderful lady that has been battling cancer for years, She was a very strong women…one that he admired so…and one that fought a brave, brave battle and defied the odds for many years!
I must admit…I had another card ready for him as he asked me to make him (4) cards for the family – and even thought it was a GREAT card….he thought that they was too feminine….that's o.k. – you'll see it next week!!! That's what I love about John…he is my best critic!!!

Let's go….
- The card base is a 5" square card ( I just LOVE odd size cards) in Crumb Cake….(I adore this color)…and the handsome color of the day is Midnight Muse…this is a 4 3/4" square!
- Pulling out my FAVORITES…..the Designer Series Pack in Neutrals…was my POP paper for this card…why do I love these so much = the always match…which means a big WOOT-WOOT!!! You get 4 different prints in each color…..and I use them a TON for liners….a no brainer! This was cut at a 4 5/8" square!

- The white is cut at 2 1/2" X 4" and then the Midnight Muse is a "smidge" bigger!
- I have been wanting to use this stamp set, Summer Silhouettes, so fun…so versatile…and I knew that I could "tone down" the colors for John…but I will say – the Stamp-a-ma-jig is a must in my opinion!

- The sentiment came from the MUST HAVE stamp set, Four You, ( and I am going to be a "Sad Susan" if this stamp set gets discontinued) as I think it is am "A list" stamp set!

- Making an envelope was easy-peasy…the envelope punch board made is a cinch! I decided to line the envelope with the Midnight Muse …to keep it very "husband like" and I was right…he liked it!
To do a liner for a custom size envelope…it a cinch! Click here to see a video that Mary did…one that I often refer to and it works like a charm every-time! The other thing that I love it the fact that it uses minimal paper and I do like the look of a solid paper for a liner once in a while!
This was a 4" square…put it back in the envelope punch board…moved it DOWN 1/8" – (so it is at the 3 7/8" mark) PUNCHED….and then I FLIPPED it over and did the same thing! PRESTO – DONE!!!!
It will make total sense watching Mary's video!!! Try it and have fun!
Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the month….out PALS monthly Blog Hop! It is a "keeper" and I hope that you hop back tomorrow as I have a fun and practical post for you….hint – hint…each of my kids will be getting one as I hope that they LOVE to cook as much as I do!!!!
