Are you ready for a fun, FUN card….well I sure hope that this brings a HUGE smile to your face and I think that this festive and fun card is a keeper! The little touch of a black mat makes the card POP….
When you get down to it…a great, clean and fun card can come from 3 simple things…PAPER, STAMPS and INK! This is exactly what you are seeing today!

You friend for this card is a ruler and the stamp- a- ma -jig Now I know that many of you do not need it…and I say – hat’s off to you….I need it as it is a security blanket for me!
All I did was draw lines (slightly every 3/4″ ) and then used this YUMMY color scheme to have FUN with the simple “circle/dot” that is in the work of art stamp set! The other keeper stamp set, Sassy Salutations ( 😥 he’s walking off the plank)

FUN….right?????? I need to go down memory lane…Sassy Salutations has been around ever since I have been a SUD and I must say….I love it as much today as I did when I bought it – I adore the fun and whimsical font.
Again, another card that you can use an ENDLESS amount of color combinations and an instant FUN card. This would be a great card to make up in a bunch of colors to gift as a gift, anyone would love to receive it.

These 2 pictures will show you how to have fun with your envelopes….fast, easy and effective! Below you will see the color combinations that I used….if I were you I would save this and use it for a future card. Isn’t it a great combo?

Here is one more look for you….could you see yourself making this? How about sharing some fun and unique color combos? I had so much fun making this and it literately took minutes!
I am thinking of a good Blushing Bride…Smokey Slate and ?????? – HELP anyone……and let’s com up with a great purple combo, we forget about purple!

Thanks for popping in….here are your 3 friends – they told me that some of their “other friends” have left the group as they are selling out. Remember the stamps will be available for a couple more weeks but the “everything else” as WHILE SUPPLIES LAST…..don’t be sad 😥 , order today! 🙂

Good Morning! I told you yesterday that I was going to teach you some more great cards using squares! Well…here you go – this is what I call a smile card….why? – easy = it is just so sweet and can be used for so many different occasions you might have in sending a card to someone!
I love this card so much that I am going to share with you the dimensions quickly! The sky is the limit with the different DSP you can use and AGAIN…we are STILL ON THE USE UP YOUR DSP TRAIN…..I personally can see the caboose in sight (well kinda) – how about YOU…how are you doing?
Another thing that is great to…use (2) different DSP’s for your squares…this give a fun effect but today, I wanted a totally monochromatic card. They always seem to be so clean and classic.

I personally made this card to bring some “sunshine” to a dear friend that is going through a medical scare. Yellow always perks me up…how about you? I know that many of you might frown about putting a button on a card because of mailing but I have 2 thoughts about this.
- You already have to put extra postage on this card because it is a square card, I would put a little “cushion” over the button just in case (also ask your postmaster to hand stamp it)
- It is super cute. I realize that many of us (including myself) do not use a bunch of buttons (maybe this is why they are on the retired list) but seeing a button like this, truly gives a special handmade feel

Do you remember when we chatted before about using the beeswax with bakers twine to make you Bakers Twine behave! The above picture is what I am talking about…it makes beautiful bows and it also lets the “tails” of the bows go right where you want them to.
The other thing that really is one that I want you to think about….do you see how nice and clean my cuts are on the twine….the answer easy = CRAFT SCISSORS…these truly are a must have as you will never get a bad cut when using them. Remember, they are on the “walking the plank” list so do not delay!

I made my envelope with the envelope punch board and actually I used the corner rounder on the end to round my 1″ squares. I love that corner rounder as it gives a great, clean cut and it is one less tool to have out.
I have shared this before but….here you go again….if you have the envelope paper – give it a try…I am kicking myself that I always used my card stock to make my own envelopes in white and very vanilla…using the envelope papers makes BEAUTIFUL envelopes and it is so easy to use…..it also is walking the plank!

As promised…let’s get to the dimensions for you 🙂 I hope that you make this card and then what I really hope if that you will send me a picture of your card.
I ADORE seeing your work so please snap a picture of if and send it to me….I will make a personal deal with you….anyone that sends me a picture of this card that YOU made…I will send you a card like today’s (now…I might use different colors etc…but it will be the same, button and all) Please remember to send me your address so I know where to mail your card to.

- The card base is a 4″ square
- The crushes curry is a 3 3/4″ square
- The DSP (from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack) is a 3 1/2″ square
- The crushed curry inside square is a 2 3/8″ square
- The white is a 2 1/4″ square
- (4) 1″ squares using the punch and then certain corners rounded with the envelope punch board or you could easily use a corner rounder
Well…there you go – EASY PEASY!!!! You can see that I did the button and bow thing and I used glue dots to hold it in place. I just love those little babies!
If you want to take my personal challenge, please do not feel that you need to find a button…I just want to encourage and inspire you to make a fun and easy card so YOU can smile that YOU did it! I thank you for your time…I love what I do and just what – I LOVE TEACHING YOU….you an do it,,,,I know it! Have a fabulous day!

New week…new inspiration…I have some FUN cards for you and I have some FUN cards using the 1″ square…and we are kicking the week off with a card that has a sentiment that is a true blue keeper in my eyes….works for me…how about YOU? We all deserve to have happiness 🙂
“do more of what makes you happy”
Cards like this have a WOW factor but it is so ridiculously easy…when you break it down and have tools like this 1″ punch to get the job done! To make the 1″ squares line up easily…start with a piece of 4″ X 4″ paper and then use your “green glue” to add the squares…you have the best of both worlds…perfect placement.
I forgot to put in the line up that I used the aqua painter and bermuda bay ink to add some color to the hearts. Because you are using just a wee bit of water, no need to worry if the paper would be too thin.

The sentiment came to life with the help of heat embossing….using the white embossing powder and the heat tool. The fun factor is just as strong as the first time that I did this technique.
A real fast and fun fussy cut is a unique and whimsical way to go! I matted it on white and did the same thing before POPPING it up with dimensionals.

Let’s chat about a product that I have not used a bunch but I will say….if you have some…give it a try. I am talking about the envelope paper. I admit, I do not think that I use it a bunch as I visually see my paper (card stock) right at my work area but I am trying to use up product and I was happily surprised that it is a dream machine to work with!
I truly thought by “feel” that is was too thin to make a great envelope, but I was wrong. Following the instructions on the envelope punch board made it easy to create….I added some of the jazzed up DSP on the back and BAM….a great envelope!

You can see that I also used (2) accent products which I think look great! They are the Itty Bitty Accents Punch and the White Perfect Accents ~ little accents that make a statement.
Here is your 411 of the card. I use this layout often and it never gets tiring because you are always using different papers…different sentiments…therefore a NEW CARD!

I am excited for you to try these fun layouts that I will be sharing with you this week with the 1″ square punch. Tips and tricks always make creating fun and I love to share with you different ways that this can be accomplished!
Starting with the 4″ X 4″ square is the key to make this….please give it a try…another great way to USE UP THAT DSP….because you are going to be picking up your jaw with the new papers coming out! 🙂

Enjoy this cute image…our Amigos will be with us and make sure that you check back often to see if things have been discounted deeper and I will also try to give you “heads up” if I hear of changes…each and everyday is bring us closer to the new catalog…trust me, I am as excited as you are for it!
Enjoy the day and lets have a great week! I will be doing some traveling so it is a busy one but I do not think that you will be disapointed in this weeks posts! I think that they are fun and fresh! Until tomorrow!

Happy Sunday to all of most favorite readers in the world….YOU!!! Before we get to the post today I want to say, WOW…I just adore, cherish and really have to pinch myself at times when I read your comments. WHY? – because it is clear that we are a community…one big group of great individuals that truly have a heart and care.
I love the well wishes that we send to each other and it is also clear that we all care….and to me that is so important. I do not know about you…but I can say that there is so much “stuff”…”negativity”…technology overload…I could go on and on but it are these reason that I love what I do – SIMPLE HANDMADE KINDNESS…it does matter and I thank you for popping onto my blog and making my heart pitter-patter!
Ok. – enough…..let’s get to this card!!! I always ask my best friend and favorite critic ~ John….which one he likes better….I will let you know at the end of the post (no peeking) 😀

I am also going to give you the dimensions of this card as I think that you can clearly see that this layout….(aka – a formula) can be used for soooooo many cards…so here you go!
- A-2 Vertical Card in Very Vanilla (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″)
- Navy layer is 5 1/4″ X 4″
- The DSP is 2 1/2″ X 4 1/2″
- The Very Vanilla piece that I stamped on is 2″ X 4″
- The Cherry Cobbler piece is a smidge bigger 2 1/8″ X 4 1/8″ (I know…I know…..some of you do not like making odd cuts but I say….go for it – IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
For today….I took the Very Vanilla piece and score it every 1/2″ – darn I wish that you could see it in person as it is stunning (if I must say so myself) The textures from this and then the POP up of the stamped piece is really special!

Again, this is a card that you could use for so many occasions. It is so clean and classic, just the way I love my cards to be. I invite you to look at your stampin’ stash and see what works for you. I think that you can see that this stamp set….even if you just like this great vase/flowers…is a card that you will make over and over and guess what – it will always be the keeper that you first found it to be!

I think that this DSP fooled many….because of it big and bold prints but when you “flip them over”….wow – there you go….another great print…and I was thrilled to see that Chris noticed that Cherry Cobbler hasn’t had that much love lately – I adore this color and it is a color that we can use all year long!

I know that it is hard to see the scoring in the picture above but trust me, it is great! My vote is for today’s card…..and Johns vote is for yesterdays card as he liked the boldness of the Navy. I adore Navy but I think that I am getting the best of the both worlds in today’s card!

I think that is the “icing on the cake” is the envelope…I love it when it works out to stamp the outside of the envelope to work with the card! The way that I look at it is….you already have your stamp out….the ink out – so I say. “Why not”!????
Taking a couple of extra minutes does make a difference for not only YOU (which to me is most important as I think that we are too hard on ourselves) but the recipient and the mail man will smile. Really, REALLY BIG!
Enjoy the day and tomorrow will be another day to share with you how you can use that DSP….A goal for me and I hope that a goal fro you…because you will LOVE the new papers.

Good Morning! This is such a strange time of the year for us…CHANGE….I know…I know – we all do not like to embrace change ~ but change is just a part of life!
This weekend I am showcasing some of my all time favorite stamps that are walking the plank! It’s ok as they will be available for a while so I say….if you like them…then go for it! We all know that it comes down to what you like…what your style is….basically, what makes you roll!

I have blogged about this stamp set before…and when I have been going down “memory lane”.….(I just love that lane)…I saw this stamp set, Pictogram Punches…and I knew that I had to make it center stage for you! Well….do you like it????

The other star stamp set that I used was Six Sided Sampler..another true blue! We have so many true blue’s that it is hard to showcase them all…but trust me, you will love the new catalog!
This is a clean and simple “Susan card” and again, I am USING UP MY DSP……how about YOU?????? This has been a fun challenge for me to do and I am feeling’ good about clearing’ out my DSP!

Remember a tip that I have shared with you….when you layer like this….always stamp the image 1st and then add the one that you stamped and POPPED out with the the coordinating punch…..this make it look so fun!
How about those pearls….they truly are a girls best friend! Little accents like this are truly the icing on the cake!

Me beloved envelope…to me it is the 1st impression to set the tone of the card and I highly encourage you to take a bit of “extra time” to do the same…the way that I look at it is…you will smile and the mailman will smile…..and then the recipient of the card will smile –
I ask you…HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG?

I do hope that you will pop back tomorrow to see how I changed it up a bit…and then you can decide….which one you like! Below you will see your 3 friends (the shopping links for the sale) and then the products I used for today’s card!
Have a fabulous day and I cannot wait to see how you like tomorrows card….(now don’t get too excited)…but I think that it will make you happy, and if you are happy….I AM HAPPY!
Until tomorrow! 🙂
