Woot-woot….I know that you all like when I post scoop on some organization tips. Please remember, we all have different ways to do things….some work for us…some don't! I think that we all have tried and tried many different ways of doing things and today ~ I wanted to give you a glimpse of some storage ideas that work for me!
I have a lot for you today so grab that cup of coffee…and get ready to be inspired and then get ready to take advantage of the clearance items and read the scoop for taking advantage of Paper Pumpkin being 50% off for your 1st 2 months! TODAY IS THE LAST DAY!
LET'S GET ORGANIZED!!!
I know…I know – I am very "TYPE A" – always have been….always will be! I am a firm believer that when we are organizer not only are we happier, but we are more productive! (I can hear Chris R right now laughing!!!!)
I have shared with you before that I use organizational products from Stamp-n-Storage. I realize that the products are an investment but I will say I have purchased bit by bit and love each and every product I have! Watch the "Crafted Spaces" episodes…and you will drool….there are some amazing craft rooms….(Mary Fish's is on there and it is just gorgeous)!
With Back to School in full swing, now is the perfect time to buy these plastic folders! I cut them to fit inside and in between the sections that I categorized. I use the Brothers P-Touch Label Maker, not only is it easy to use…it is a "must have" that you will use all over your home. (Amazon has the best prices and also for the tape refills)
Moving on…here is another goodie that was in Walmart – it is just a plastic cube that probably get purchased a bunch for kids going back to college. They came in all sorts of colors and I think it was around $2.50! I have really had a hard time finding something to store my paper stack in….they were either too wide or the sides were too short and the paper would flop!
I know that it might not be the prettiest – but it sure does do the trick! I like to take the paper out of the stacks it comes in as I find that as you use the paper, the glue that holds it together gets icky and my paper gets all messed up and not orderly (I know….type A kicking in) and I also like to cut my DSP Stacks into 6 X 6 squares as it is rare that I need a cut that is longer than 6" and I find it just easier for me!
LAST DAY FOR 50% OFF
PAPER PUMPKIN!
The best phrase I can give to you about the Paper Pumpkin program is…."You've come a long way baby"! I have been receiving this monthly kits since they started several years ago and WOW – Stampin' Up! has really….REALLY put a lot into the marketing, the product and the quality!
Today is the last day that you can take advantage of becoming a Paper Pumpkin Person….(I like that a PPP'er). It is for NEW members…..so if you have been a member in the past, you will not be able to take advantage of it…BUT…..I am sure your husband would like to be "the person" (ha-ha!!!!) It just cannot be in your name if you were part of the program in the past!
In July I shared with you the kit….I LOVED it and was hoping that they would offer the refills…and lucky me they did and I took full advantage of it and ordered (4) of them! Look below how I changed it up a bit….they really are fun kits and you really have nothing to lose.
Just like we do with any cards/projects that we make, it is super fun to change things up a bit and here you can see that I put a fun sentiment in the cup and popped some stars with a small bit of bling to make it fun!
Did you see the Bakers Twine? Yep, this is the basic gray and that is in the clearance rack for just $1.19. You know how I feel about Bakers Twine – LOVE IT and yep….I will take advantage of goodies in the clearance rack – I love a deal as much as you do…..but I will even get it at a lower price with my discount (hint-hint…how about becoming a hobby demonstrator )
I even had to have fun with the envelope; you know me…I can't resist as I love my envelopes! Bakers Twine really does make a fun look that is super easy and super effective!
Now here is another Organizational Tool that I love to use….the Wide Stamp Cases…I always have a stash of these to make life easier! You can use them over and over and they snap together like a charm!
It is just like our stamp cases and you can see that I just slide the paper in the front and then stashed the stamp set in the back! Easy, Fast….DONE!
Whew…this post was LONG – but I do hope that you found it helpful! I do hope that you take advantage of becoming a Paper Pumpkin Person….you can click here and it will direct you to the website and you can sign up!

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September. This month we are showing off our favorite new products from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. We hope you enjoy our projects!
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Kalyn Shubnell at The Stamping Chronicles #7 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
Hello and welcome! One thing I think we all can agree on is….this new catalog is OFF THE CHARTS! Page after page is filled with fun new stamp sets, amazing kits, gorgeous papers and TONS OF BUNDLES!
I thank Stampin' Up! for continuing to offer more and more Bundles and today I am going to share with you a bundle that I simple adore! It is A Little Something Bundle! Why do I love this so much?
Easy…it creates fun, simple & useful "pillow boxes" that can be filled with so many things ~ from candy, to 3 X 3 cards, to gift certificates….jewelry – the sky is the limit.
In the pictures below you will see that I have tried to inspire you with many different ways to use these products. I adore making 3 X 3 cards….I think that is something that we forget about making. They not only are super handy to have but they also make wonderful gifts!
When you make a pillow box, it uses just one sheet of paper per box. I trim it to 5 1/2" X 6" and still have some scraps for other projects.
Being able to add bling with an embossing folders makes it so much fun! I really like using the tone on tone effect with the fantastic stamps that are in this stamp set – FUN!
No who does not like M & M's? I like using the themed colors that are available now…just have fun thinking out of the box when using this framelit.
The cotton ribbon makes such beautiful bows…ties like a dream and the little touch of Bakers Twine adds interest.
This tear tape is amazing to use for project like this! Not only is it super strong it is so easy to use. Love the fact that you can tear it…..no more red tape sticking to you! I say – WOOT-WOOT!
'
Ho-Ho-Ho!!! Isn't this a cute ensemble? I love this pom-pom trim and it is just so much fun to play around and create all different goodies! I hope that these examples will inspire you to hit that SHOP NOW button and get going! Make a list of all of the gifts you can make using this fabulous bundle!
Look at the fabulous images below to see how you can tie both if these items together, the stamp set and the framelit to create many amazing works of art!
Many thanks for popping in and I hope that you are enjoying this fun hop! I just love this time of the year as we are always coming up with fun ways to get the holiday spirit rolling.
The next stop is Mary Fish at Stampin’ Pretty, number 9 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!
I know that these Tootsie Pops have been around before but I think that they are soooo darn tootin' cute that it brought back! I have so many great memories of doing things like this with my children!
The best thing is that I STILL LOVE TO MAKE THEM...and I still send things like this to my adult children and they always call to thank me for the memories and then naturally I have my moment to say….do you remember when you were a Pumpkin for Halloween…..
(Do you remember making the ghosts out of kleenex)!!! Well, I admit, I love tootsie rolls and tootsie pops! Making them into an adorable broom is so cute at this time of the year but I thought that they needed a little "box" to stand on so they would be straight!
I have made a video for you so you can see me make one – I adore making these each and every year – they always bring a huge smile to my face….so do not wait – get started now and remember, break it into steps!
I have LOTS of pictures for you with tips and tricks but please feel free to email me if I can be of help to you! They are so fun and I will say they get addictive to make! Let's start with the box!
I did use the smallest circle framelit to cut out the middle but if you do not have that or want to save time…just put a couple of glue dots on the bottom of the tootsie pop….works like a charm!
In the picture below you can see the little box! (I think a little Elephant should be standing on it) I like the fact that the coffee filter drapes over it to hide it!
Now let's get the making the broom…so easy and so cute! Again, please feel free to email me if you need further help!
To me, the key adhesive are the glue dots for this project…these little gems are easy to tuck in and with using the piercing tool…it makes it easy!
Thanks for popping in today and I hope that you go to the store and purchase some lollipops and try this! I am sure that whomever is lucky enough to get this broom will be a happy camper!
Remember, shopping in your jammies is FUN…..Click here and smile!
Until tomorrow….but please do not forget to check out the weekly deals…..I will be sooo confused this week with the holiday – click here to see the goodies!
p.s. – go and pop into the clearance section – there are some great finds that you could use for Halloween Projects….like the Tangelo Twist Ribbon and the White and Tangerine Tango Thick Twine would be perfect to use with this project!
Happy Labor Day! Well we have had a "different" 24+ hours….you have heard me say what a keeper James is…well I have been working soooooo hard getting the product shares completed and packaged ever since my expedited order came in and on Saturday around noon I was finished and doing the happy dance!
James had a plan and had it all figured out….he did not tell John….or me – but he came in from mowing and said…."GREAT MOM – I am happy for you that you are finished so go back and get an overnight bag pack and we are going to the "shore" to visit Grandad (my Dad) who lives about 3 hours away in a piece of heaven right on the water!
Naturally I immediately said – there is no way….the animals etc…. – his quick reply – DONE….we are taking Eddie and Rosie with us and I have arranged for the dog/horse/donkey/pig…and oh yes – the house sitter to come for an overnight so we can get away for a quick overnight! (I worry more about the animals than the house)
We had a FABULOUS time and WOW – it totally made my dear 84 year old Dad happy. He was so thrilled that we were there….what a great treat for him. He adores Eddie and has been calling every day asking how his favorite "Senior Citizen"" was doing….
John and James woke up before dawn yesterday to do some fishing and I had a wonderful visit with my Dad. We took him out on the boat, (probably the 1st time he had been out on the water for over 4+ years) and he LOVED it – it was a perfect day, beautiful weather and it was a treat for all of us…..Eddie included!
I have some GREAT pictures for you of the dogs on the boat but my I Phone might have gone to I Phone heaven….After we returned home last night, I went to download my pictures and the project I made for you today to have a BLACK SCREEN….NOTHING…..no juice anywhere……so….it's movie time!
Today I am serving you some Lemonade….(darn I wish that I was there to sever it to you) but please do not forget and also underestimate the great and short Videos that Stampin' Up! has – they are just great!
Here are several from the NEW catalog….enjoy them as I really feel that they give you a great over view of the products and then as I blog about them with actual projects, I think that you will get a great idea of the product to make the decision if you are going to hit that SHOP NOW button!
I really, really like this new product – I blogged about it over the weekend!
This is a GREAT video that will give you an insight of how our Designer Series Paper is made! (very, very interesting)
I just put these together and oh what FUN it was – they are not only ADORABLE but this would be a great evening with friends to do. Naturally I have some tips and tricks for you when I blog about them this week!
Last one for today….I put these together as well and HANG ON YOU YOUR HAT….this kit is just fabulous as it makes making a Shaker Card…fast, rewarding, easy and just FUN!!!!
Darn, I wish that we were able to purchase these special adhesives to make making shaker cards this easy all the time! I know that many of you will really be "wowed" and proud to make these gems!
Enjoy your day….I will catch up on emails today and onto my Stamp of the Month Kit conformations! It was a great break and a memory make for sure!
