Tips for your Tuesday!

Good Tuesday morning and before we get to this very short post I want to say a big THANK YOU for the great “shout outs” of the post yesterday! Jeanie was tickled (as she should be) and wait to you see the other talent that I have on my Top Dogs Team! My hopes are to do a Blog Hop with my gals as they are amazing!

O.k – here you go…..I am going to let the video do all of the work today as I think that I covered it rather well. Adding love to the back of your envelopes is so easy and it really does not take much time or product….trust me on this one – the end result is well worth the effort!

Here you go…Enjoy!

I will do more videos about envelopes as I think that some of you are still not super comfortable with the Envelope Punch Board….that’s ok as I have a confession….I had that piece of plastic for probably 6 months before I figured it out. The moral of the story was simple – if I would have just watched a video….I would have NAILED IT from the start!

No I know that I will never win an Academy Award on my videos but that’s fine~ I just shoot them and go….be gentle on me but I hope that you find the video helpful!

Enjoy that day and please feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Here is the link of you are going right from You Tube,  this way you will be able to see the links for the products used (tap on the show more tab) and while you are there….do me a favor and subscribe to my You Tube Channel so you will not miss future Academy Award shows! 🙂

Show and Tell Monday!

I do not know about you…but I LOVED “Show and Tell” days at school! It was a total excitement for me and I planned what I was going to “Show or Tell” to the max! I thought that it would be fun to SHOW and TELL this AMAZING goodie that was in my mailbox! Talk about hitting the jackpot!

Before we get to the fun today, I must say – you all are the best and I do dearly love reading each and everyone of your comments. I admit….I try to stay off the computer during the day as I get “sucked in that cyber hole” so I do try to respond to your  wonderful comments but as Sonny said, I usually do it at the end of the day! (I guess it shows that I am trying to be disciplined because I know that it is hard for me to get off once I get on!)

Let’s get to this Monday fun! This was in my Mailbox on Friday. It was from me dear friend and downline, Jeanie Stark. I have known Jeanie for ages and we have gone thru Creative Memories, American Girl Dolls with our girls…to endless laughs and inspirations…to being together in Atlanta for On Stage!

Jeanie is super talented and just darn tootin’ fun. We truly have had many adventures together from taking my truck and trailer to get painted….to picking strawberries…to creating endless works of memories for our families…..she is truly a talented stamper, and amazing pre-school teacher and a wonderful person!

I love her motto….with her work schedule when she gets off…..“FROM 12 to 3, IT’S ALL ABOUT ME”.…this was “her time” before her children came home from school but now her peeps are out of the home nest and she is doing a BANG UP job with her blog, Just Stampin’. I highly encourage you to subscribe to her blog as it is Jeanie at it’s best – and it is FUN!

Isn’t this the best ensemble to see! Not only did I feel super special, but I just did not want to open it because of its sheer beauty. Being the “teacher” that she is, she is doing another (this is her 2nd go around with the Alphabet) of the A,B,C’s…and she NAILED IT!

CLICK HERE to see her post of how she created this AMAZING project!

I am never, ever brave enough to try to use the sequins…but I think that we can agree….she NAILED IT! It is funny….clustering together different types of products just always seem to work….for me, it is just sticking my head out and try!

Another product that I am a bit shy to use but again, she rocked it – the gold glimmer paper…I adore how she off set the layers as it gives such a POP!

When you look at this and really, really look at it – there are simple elements that are all put together to make an instant dimension! I was just sooooo touched by this, it is such a beauty but also sooooooo do-able!

I just had to take the tissue out of the box so you could get the sheer FUN of this bundle! The way that these stars POP up is amazing and the gold paper makes such a statement. Wouldn’t this be an AMAZING project/gift to make…..when you see Jeanie’s instructions~ you will see how do-able this is!

I love to share other peoples work….and I hope that this post made you smile and also brought some insight to you in how to make an amazing gift! We all have so much to give and share and I cannot tell you how proud I am of Jeanie’s blog ….we all have gifts – just always share them and let them shine!

How about giving Jeanie some comments of love and also – please check out her blog….it is amazing and you will laugh, be inspired and want to come back for more!

See you tomorrow for Tips for your Tuesday – trust me, you will smile! 😀

Step It Up Sunday!

Good morning, I admit – I love doing these 2 day challenges but at the same time….I worry if you all are to going to see or shall I say “get” the differences. I do hope that you will read and take a look at the pictures to see the difference. I have a BUNCH of pictures for you today!

Sometimes you just have to “try it” and hold it in your hands…it all comes down to time and preference but I love to be able to share with you a variety of ways to create! Remember, we all see things in different ways and there is no “right or wrong” way to do it – the important part is to JUST DO IT….make cards as cards make people smile… feel happy and special!

Here you go- side be side….YOU decide! I will share with you along the picture trail the changes I made! So you have a preference? Please feel free to leave a comment, this is how we learn and grow!

We are still playing with the FREEBIE from Sale-a-bration, Avant Garden and today I added in the little dots stamp to the fun from yesterday! Adding a simple yet artsy look give a different feel of instant texture. I used Sahara Sand and I inked it off to just give a soft, subtle look.

To start today’s card I did something different than yesterday! Remember yesterday I “ADDED THE SENTIMENT STRIP ON TOP” but today I am going to CUT AWAY and then add in a sentiment strip.

Below in the picture you can see that I used a pencil to draw a 1 1/2″ space. I went ahead and stamped like I did yesterday and then cut at the pencil lines using the trimmer to create a gap that my sentiment strip will fit in! (you with me???)

The next 3 pictures will help you see the process!

I know that it is super hard to see but after I stamped the sentiment in the Tip Top Taupe I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it. You need to work fast but it is very doable and it does create that extra special look and feel that steps it up! I also went over the Taupe insides of the flowers with the clear embossing power….really made a fun and interesting effect but then the trip of teeny pearls were the icing on the cake!

I like this picture below as you can really see the “solid look” of the card. There is just something stunning about a bunch of white space and then having a “lift” off of the white card base is a classic and super clean look.

You know me and my white gel pen….could not, would not be without it. It is my friend that always makes a pop each and every time!

Here is a great shot on how the subtle dots in the background are effective. This is something that probably 2 years ago would never have done but little by little I try to be a turtle and try new things….sometimes I like them…sometimes not – that is what it is all about, trying and having fun!

Below is your smile picture…for you, the card maker….the recipient and the Mail Man!

My postal ladies are funny….when they see a card that i am mailing they will comment – wow, you must really like this person…they got a double stamp and this poor person just got a pretty envelope flap! (They are sooooo funny) and always make me smile!

Now here is a great tip! I would make up a bunch of these cards….perhaps have fun and change up the color combo etc…but leave the sentiment area blank and then give the recipient a bunch of strips with sentiments stamped on it….this way they can choose what type of card to send,

Wouldn’t this be a great and thoughtful gift to give and one that is sooooooo practical! I would put 2 strips of tear & tape on the back of the strips and also give them a great pen, our Project life ones are THE BEST as they do not smear! (adding stamps would be great as well)

I hope that these cheery flowers brought some sunshine to your day and also I hope that your day is filled with sunshine! The long days of Winter seem to get the best of us but that calendar will be changing on Wednesday so we are getting a little closer to a change! (hmmmm, you can see that I am trying to convince myself – I really do not like the cold)

Remember, jammie shopping is totally on trend….I do it often! I hope to see you tomorrow as we are going to play “Show and Tell” – it is a show stopper!

Simple Saturday!

Hello to all and welcome to Simple Saturday! I have just been ITCHIN’ to ink up this stamp set and it felt great to do so! This stamp set, Avant Garden is a FREEBIE one from the fabulous Sale-a-bration collection of freebies that you can pick with every incremental order of $50.00!

I know that I have shared this with you all a bunch but I love to point it out….PLEASE USE THE FABULOUS SAMPLES in our catalogs for inspiration! The minute I saw the card (below) in the SAB Catalog, I knew that I was going to CASE it…and that is exactly what I did today!

It’s funny…there are times that I have people ask me if I think it is wrong to CASE…..I say, “HECK NO” – if it helps your “mojo” get kick started than by all means ~ GO FOR IT! Remember, that is super flattering to someone that you liked it so much that you wanted to give it a spin!

This is how I went about making this super sweet card. I pick my focal colors that I wanted (Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum) and went from there! The leaves were Pear Pizzazz.

I just had the above Stampin’ Up! Sample up on my computer and became “Picasso” and sent to town to try to interpret it. The lighter pink is the Flirty Flamingo “stamped off once” to give it a softer look and basically a totally different color.

Can you see my boo-boo…..it happens to use all, a “wobble” of the bock will do this 👿 but there was no way that I was going to start over….JUST MAKE LEMONADE! 🙂

The PRESTO was making a strip that would hide my boo-boo…..we can call if a paper band-aide!  It was 1 /2″ wide and then I matted it with Tip Top Taupe just a smidge larger!

Now I think that we all can agree…this is a card that I think anyone would be proud to send. Let’s chat about that SUPER FUN polka dot paper, this is from the In Color DSP Stack…it is just always the perfect finishing touch (this is why I always include them on my Product Shares…when in doubt – pull the DSP’s out)

I can share with you thins…in looking at peoples favorites with the SAB items…the most popular are this stamp set, Avant Garden and Hey Chick! I can remember when I was a customer, I loved this time of the year and always looked forward to these FREEBIES. Remember, with every order of $50.00 ~ you can pick a FREEBIE from the SAB Catalog!

Enjoy the day…we are already blowing through the 1st month of the year…….(On Wednesday I was going to remind you that Christmas was 11 months away…but I just couldn’t do it) 😆 ~ heck  – I walk through our home and still find odds and ends of Christmas!!!
