Hello and welcome! One thing I think we all can agree on is….this new catalog is OFF THE CHARTS! Page after page is filled with fun new stamp sets, amazing kits, gorgeous papers and TONS OF BUNDLES!
I thank Stampin' Up! for continuing to offer more and more Bundles and today I am going to share with you a bundle that I simple adore! It is A Little Something Bundle! Why do I love this so much?
Easy…it creates fun, simple & useful "pillow boxes" that can be filled with so many things ~ from candy, to 3 X 3 cards, to gift certificates….jewelry – the sky is the limit.
In the pictures below you will see that I have tried to inspire you with many different ways to use these products. I adore making 3 X 3 cards….I think that is something that we forget about making. They not only are super handy to have but they also make wonderful gifts!
When you make a pillow box, it uses just one sheet of paper per box. I trim it to 5 1/2" X 6" and still have some scraps for other projects.
Being able to add bling with an embossing folders makes it so much fun! I really like using the tone on tone effect with the fantastic stamps that are in this stamp set – FUN!
No who does not like M & M's? I like using the themed colors that are available now…just have fun thinking out of the box when using this framelit.
The cotton ribbon makes such beautiful bows…ties like a dream and the little touch of Bakers Twine adds interest.
This tear tape is amazing to use for project like this! Not only is it super strong it is so easy to use. Love the fact that you can tear it…..no more red tape sticking to you! I say – WOOT-WOOT!
'
Ho-Ho-Ho!!! Isn't this a cute ensemble? I love this pom-pom trim and it is just so much fun to play around and create all different goodies! I hope that these examples will inspire you to hit that SHOP NOW button and get going! Make a list of all of the gifts you can make using this fabulous bundle!
Look at the fabulous images below to see how you can tie both if these items together, the stamp set and the framelit to create many amazing works of art!
Many thanks for popping in and I hope that you are enjoying this fun hop! I just love this time of the year as we are always coming up with fun ways to get the holiday spirit rolling.
The next stop is Mary Fish at Stampin’ Pretty, number 9 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!
I know that these Tootsie Pops have been around before but I think that they are soooo darn tootin' cute that it brought back! I have so many great memories of doing things like this with my children!
The best thing is that I STILL LOVE TO MAKE THEM...and I still send things like this to my adult children and they always call to thank me for the memories and then naturally I have my moment to say….do you remember when you were a Pumpkin for Halloween…..
(Do you remember making the ghosts out of kleenex)!!! Well, I admit, I love tootsie rolls and tootsie pops! Making them into an adorable broom is so cute at this time of the year but I thought that they needed a little "box" to stand on so they would be straight!
I have made a video for you so you can see me make one – I adore making these each and every year – they always bring a huge smile to my face….so do not wait – get started now and remember, break it into steps!
I have LOTS of pictures for you with tips and tricks but please feel free to email me if I can be of help to you! They are so fun and I will say they get addictive to make! Let's start with the box!
I did use the smallest circle framelit to cut out the middle but if you do not have that or want to save time…just put a couple of glue dots on the bottom of the tootsie pop….works like a charm!
In the picture below you can see the little box! (I think a little Elephant should be standing on it) I like the fact that the coffee filter drapes over it to hide it!
Now let's get the making the broom…so easy and so cute! Again, please feel free to email me if you need further help!
To me, the key adhesive are the glue dots for this project…these little gems are easy to tuck in and with using the piercing tool…it makes it easy!
Thanks for popping in today and I hope that you go to the store and purchase some lollipops and try this! I am sure that whomever is lucky enough to get this broom will be a happy camper!
Remember, shopping in your jammies is FUN…..Click here and smile!
Until tomorrow….but please do not forget to check out the weekly deals…..I will be sooo confused this week with the holiday – click here to see the goodies!
p.s. – go and pop into the clearance section – there are some great finds that you could use for Halloween Projects….like the Tangelo Twist Ribbon and the White and Tangerine Tango Thick Twine would be perfect to use with this project!
Yippee-Skippee…. it’s a new week and don’t forget that today is the last day for you to take advantage of the weekly deals. I am going to focus on the Envelope Punch Board, as it is sooooooo worth focusing on again!
We made it home late last night and I had several emails that “I lost you”on the explanation of the how to make the envelope liner for the square envelope….at the very end of this post I will add the specific measurements for you and then I promise the next video I do is going to be about envelopes!!!
How about the title today…..NO STAMPS NEEDED! – That is because we are going to be focusing on how the envelope punch board with make you some FUN and ADORABLE POPPERS from a 6” X 6” piece of paper!
The 1st reason I say WOOT-WOOT is that our paper stacks are 6” X 6” and I know that many of you scratch your head as what to do with the papers in the stack that are either not your favorite or simply what to do with DSP that seems to GROW and GROW with your obsession!
Again, no falling off your chair….I have a video for you! Enjoy going to the movies with me and then please do not hesitate to email me if you need help and/or feel free to leave me a comment!
Hopefully the video helps but here is some “SCOOP” for you that you can print off!
For the Popper:
With a 6” X 6” piece of paper, cut it at 4 ½”
With the scoring board and the short side at the top, score at 1”,2”,3” &4”
Fold on score lines (I would also use the bone folder)
Pull out your must have Envelope Punch Board and line up (using the long 6” side) and put the edge at 1” mark…PUNCH – then flip the paper over and place that back at the 1” mark and PUNCH.
Fold down to the next score line and do the same….go to 1” PUNCH – FLIP – Punch and do it again until you have completed all folds.
Using a piece of Tear and Tape, place it of the ½” piece in the middle – fold over to seal.
Use a glue dot on each end to secure.
Pinch in the sides and tie a piece of ribbon!
To make the Belly Band:
Take a piece of scrap paper 2” X 4 ¾” and score with the Stampin’ Trimmer just a “smidge” larger than 1” (but not to the 1 1/8” mark)….do this on every inch!
Take the scored piece and using the Simply Scored, score at 1/8” on each side twice….(you’ll end up with (2) vertical lines on each side.
Place a small piece of Tear and Tape on the ¾” piece and then wrap around the adore POPPER…..stand back and SMILE –
YOU DID IT and I JUST KNOW YOU ARE SMILING!
Now let me share some exact measurements for you to make sense out of yesterdays post on how to make the simple liner for the square envelope!
Using the measurements that are on the punch board to make the envelope to fit a 4 ½” card….go to town and make the envelope – SMILE again because it really is easy….right!?!?!
Take a ruler from the point (at the top of the envelope flap) to the side (of where the flap folds down) and remember that measurement = it is 3 3/4"
Take off ¼” from the measurement that you are remembering and cut a square = 3 1/2". Easy right….
Take this square and take it to the envelope punch board and go 1/8” smaller than your square size = 3 3/8" …..PUNCH….
FLIP OVER the square and place it right back to the same measurement = 3 3/8" ….PUNCH and you are DONE!
Place adhesive and SMILE!
Again, I will do the next video on envelopes, as you know that I like my envelopes as much as I do making cards!
Please pop back tomorrow; as you will see something super cute that is going to go with the POPPER that you saw a sneak peek on in the video! Enjoy the day, feel free to email me and many thanks for POPPING in!
I knew that you would have liked yesterday post and the winner is HJ. Woot-Woot to you and please email me with your address and I will send you your goodies! Thanks for all of the comments and YES – that kit would be a PERFECT for teachers and friends! They are super easy to make and it is a fun project to make with children….someone that it totally new to crafting….
Now hold on to your hats for this one…I am OVER THE MOON with today's post and this framelit!
It is called the Bakers Box Framelit but it also comes as a bundle which deserves an instant WOOT-WOOT as this means that you will save an automatic 15%. If you do purchase it as a bundle you will see in the picture below the stamp set that comes with it!
I know…I know….many of you are saying – this framelit is so expensive. Yep, I will not deny that it is an investment but are there certain things that are an investment? I can remember how many months I was trying to convince myself to purchase the Berry Basket BIGZ die and after I did…I was a happy stamper as it makes super cute projects…and I can honestly say in a second – no regrets!
I have not even begun to scratch the surface with this gem as you can see in the above picture that there are other framelits in there that you can cut a framelit shape on a side of the Bakers Box for a "window effect" How cute is that!
I have been trying to hold off on showcasing many "sneak peaks" as why do I want to torture you but to me now, the hour glass has turned and September 1st will be here before you know it!
The adorable dots came from the Homemade for You Stamp Set that is in the bundle and I used good old Versamark again. The BEST thing about this stamp and also the stripe one is that they fit PERFECTLY in the Bakers Box panels so no guess work what so ever.
Real Red Pom-Poms…..ADORABLE!!!! I was so happy when I saw them in the catalog and YES, they are included in my Holiday Catalog 2015 Product Share. The Stamp Set is another sneak peek called Among the Branches – a practical stamp set as it covers Halloween, Fall and Christmas!
Now what about THIS ONE….SUPER CUTE OR WHAT!?!? I have a confession…I needed to re-ink my Rich Razzleberry ink pad and when you do…I always let it sit for about 30 minutes to let the ink settle and get even. Well….I did not wait – I just went for it and you can see that the image is nor solid and crisp but I looked at it and thought – I LIKE IT….it looks spooky!
It's always fun making Lemonade when you least expect it!
The "Web" is another newbie that can be a Web or you can flip it over and have a beautiful White Snowflake! The Web is larger than what you see on the about box but I simply snipped off a couple of layers to make it fit for my needs. These Webs and also the silver Cording Trim are also on the Holiday Catalog 2015 Product Share
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE HOLIDAY PRODUCT SHARES WILL NOT BE BILLED TO YOU VIA PAY PAL UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1st – THAT IS THE DATE THAT THE CATALOG GOES LIVE!
BECAUSE OF STAMPIN' UPS! POLICY, I CANNOT PROCESS AND SHIP UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1st…BUT NO WORRIES, I'VE GOTCHA COVERED!
Pulling the silver together, I popped out a silver scalloped circle to mat behind the spooky sentiment and then I snipped several pieces of the new cording and tied in the black ribbon – FUN and FESTIVE!
Well my friends…I hope that you are doing the happy dance with these cute boxes and I am saving something great to the end…something that I think will make you happy! When you make these, it takes (2) 6X6 pieces of paper….WOOT-WOOT……our paper stacks are 6 X 6 – I have visions of some beautiful Bakers Boxes!
I hope that these brought a smile to your face. When I showed Hannah is was sooooo happy with them and said – "Can you make me some to take back to school, these would be great for my friends" They are fun to make…you certainly can add your personality and flair to them and fill them with many things!
Here is the Tuesday fun…the weekly deals – Please click here and see the offerings this week. Remember they are available today thru next Monday night….thank you Stampin' Up! for doing this!
Let's all have a great day and please feel free to email me if you have any questions! If you are not currently working with a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, please let me know if you would like me to mail you a Holiday Catalog, (For my current customers, yours should be arriving….get that cup of coffee ready!!!)
I have some super great posts for you this week and I am super excited to kick off the week showcasing this kit. Have you ever been excited to put something together but you just haven't made the time to do so? Well, this is totally me with this kit.
The minute I saw it in the catalog I knew that it was coming to Randall Lane. WHY???? Easy-peasy because I knew that Stampin' Up! would have this be a super sturdy product and I loved the fact that everything is included to make these gems…all for just $14.00.
(click on the below image to see everything up close…it is amazing all that is in there and the best thing = you walk away with 10 adorable boxes!)
True, the stamp set is not in the kit but they showcase the All Boxed Up Stamp Set to be used with it and you will see in my pictures that I did use it an made it right as the video has shown and it is SUPER cute and then you will see that I stepped some up and used a stamp set that I have and wowzers, I love it! (Remember, you can click any of the products that are at the end of the post to see them up close)
I have a bunch of pictures for you as I know you love pictures. I hope that you can see not only the quality of this product, but also think of how you can use these…perfect for a quick thank you, a birthday, an office gift and they really do hold a bunch!
Please grab a cup of coffee and watch this short video. Stampin' Up! is doing a BANG UP job with these product videos – you will see first hand how easy it is to put them together!
I follow the directions to the tee and the pom-pom trim totally makes me smile – to me, it is the FUN icing on the cake and they supply you with AMPLE bakers twine…you know that I love to use multiple strands to make my bows and I have plenty left!
Now I am going to show you a simple addition I did and to me, it made a great difference and one that I totally think is worth it. I used the new decorative masks, Happy Patterns with versamark. Have you ever tried these masks? If not…try them – they are fun, they are effective and they are super affordable.
Here you can see them side by side, one completed just as the kit suggested and the other with the masks and then I used a sentiment from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set (I used this stamp set last month for my Stamp of the Month Kit and this is a STELLAR stamp set….to me a total must have as the sentiment and fonts are fantastic)
In the kit there are 2" circles and there are some extras so I just used them but I did use the scalloped punch to mat behind, remember – punches are speed tools – speed tools save us a ton of time = This makes us happy!
The above one I added another banner using a scrap – it just feels wonderful to use up scraps – and then after adhering them together I used the bone folder to slightly curl the banner before I adhered it to the box.
The Itty Bitty Flowers were my "hiding place" to cover up the glue dot I used anchor the bakers twine. So what do you think….they are cute? I really like these masks – for just $6.00 you will get (4) different stencils and they clean up very easily….I simply run them under water and presto….wipe them dry!
Now you know how I feel about dots…a HUGE smile is instantly on my face and I hope that you pop back tomorrow as I think I have another FUN post that will bring a HUGE smile on your face and I also hope that it will be an inspiration for you!
Well…thoughts my friends? How do you like them…..do you feel that you could find a need for them? I honestly cannot see how you could not as it would easily brighten someones day and you can really use soooooo many stamps that you already have on your shelf!
Leave me a comment by 9 p.m. (Eastern) and let me know how you like them…and when you pop back on Tuesday, one person will win the Gold Sheet of stickers that are in the kit and then I will also send you (2) of these for you to make and decorate. (I will use the versamark mask on one for you and the other will be plain so you can see the difference!
Remember that I do offer a Simple Stampin’ Paw Prints Rewards which will allow you to earn free stamp sets…for every $25.00 you will earn a Paw Print. You know what I would do? I would order these (3) things and you will get a Paw Print…
Go ahead and HIT THAT SHOP NOW button or use the scrolling store…and get your week started off great with a Paw Print! I am excited for tomorrow…super cute, super fun and a KEEPER for so many occasions!
P.S. – I just had to share this with you…it makes me so happy when I feel like I have inspired you to try a post. Look at this super fun card…great job Patty and many thanks for letting me share your fun card.
Good weekend morning! It’s back – the (2) day challenge that many of you look forward to and love. Saturday I call it “Simple Saturday”and pop back tomorrow to see “Step it up Sunday”as I take the same card and make some minor changes to show you how “little things” can make a difference!
I can hear each of you right now saying…..THIS CARD IS NOT SIMPLE…well hold on to your thoughts as it really is an easy card and one that fits in a regular envelope, it does not require extra postage and you are sure to get a bunch of rave reviews when you send it!
I did this technique back in the Winter for a Stamp of the Month Club and the people that purchased the kits really enjoyed it. You can use it for so many different occasions and I was in the need of a baby card (something that I do not do many of) and thought – why not – go ahead and make a diorama card!
Here you go my friends and I am sure that many of you are going to at least go get (2) pieces of paper and cut and score it to see it for yourself! I honestly had no idea where I was going with it – I just knew that I wanted a diorama card and an Elephant from the Zoo Babies Stamp Set.
The bases are 5 ½” X 4 ¼” , (1) in Pool Party and the other in very vanilla
Using the Simply Scored, score each piece at ½”, 1”, 4 ½” & 5”
Now hang tight and don’t get stressed and ruffled….the pictures should help you in case…follow these tips….
We are going to start with the Vanilla Piece…lay it flat in front of you with the scores lines facing you. Fold the right side IN towards the center at the 4 ½” score line…bone fold….then fold the left side of the paper towards the center at the 1” score line and bone fold.
Take the other (2) scored pieces and fold them the opposite way and bone fold…you are DONE….set aside.
Let’s move to the Pool Party piece…at the 4 ½” score line, fold that down towards the back of the card. Do the same on the 1” score line….fold down and to the back…score well.
Now take the other (2) scored line and fold the opposite direction….bone fold and you are DONE….
Are you sprouting some gray hairs???? Just hang tight, it really is easy and once you get it, you’ll do it again and again and your friends are going to think that you are better than sliced bread.
Here is an important part…you can see that there is not much “room for error” when you use the square framelit to cut out the square. (trust me, I messed up a bunch and I am here to still tell the story)… If you have the magnetic platform you will be doing the happy dance as it does make it easier.
You are basically DONE but now all you need to do is decide how to decorate this beauty! As you can see I used the adorable Sweet Li'l Things Designer Series Paper…this is a FABULOUS paper and true you can you it for juvenile projects but there are many prints that I love for us “big girl” cards!
The width measurement that I think works best is 3 3/8” - and here are the measurement that I used for this card.
1. Clouds: 3 3/8” X 2 ½”
2. The piece that I stamped the Elephant on: 3 3/8” X 2 ½” (actually the same as above) I drew a faint pencil line about ¾” up before I stamped it and then I just cut around the Elephant (it was super easy – I did not do his trunk or legs and I thought it turned out cute with no stress!
TIP ALERT: I did use the stamp-a-ma-jig…WHY?????I knew that I might need to stamp multiple times to get a good and deep coverage of the Lost Lagoon….and I am glad that I did – I stamped it 3 times to get this nice rich color.
3. Scrap of Vanilla – 3 3/8” X 1 ½” and then I tore it towards me and then lightly sponged the edges.
The clouds and the torn piece are just adhered with green glue, flat! The Elephant piece I DOUBLED UP on Stampin Dimensionals and just stuck him down! (After I stuck him down I held up the Pool Party piece and realized that I had the Elephant too high as you could see the bottom of the paper….no worries , I was NOT going to rip him off and lower it, I simple added a piece of pool party scrap to the bottom!)
The "Congrats" comes form the Cottage Garden Stamp Set….LOVE this font and then I did a whimsical cut around the sentiment and adhered it with glue dots.
I know that this is a bunch to take in but trust me, it is a super cute card! I have no idea what is up with my camera (I need James to help me as it is obvious that I hit a filter that is making the pictures not the best)
Great news is that tomorrow is a new day and that you are going to love, love…LOVE the simple changes I made – well….do you like this????? It really is super cute and you are going to love this whole technique.
I bet that you are thinking where in the world would you write a message??? Pop back tomorrow and you will see…Have a fabulous day and until tomorrow!
