Fun, Fast & Yummy!

IMG_9591

Here is a super short post for you that carries a big punch…when I say that – it is little things like this that make me smile and I just love making treats like this up!

The other thing that I adore about projects like this is YOU CAN USE UP YOUR SCRAPS! This always makes all of us smile!

This is a yummy piece of chocolate wrapped and fru-fru'ed with love! I made a bunch of these to take to convention.

IMG_9601

Here you go with how to make them….pull out your paper….find the little  pieces of scrap ribbon you have and have fun! I have used the "Num-Num" Stamp Set but really you can use a variety of stamps!

  • Piece of paper 2" X 7"
  • Take piece to Simply Scored and score it as shown in below picture (I do find the "markers" when making a bunch as you do not have to think!!!!)

IMG_9588

  • Use the tag topper punch of your choice and punch the ends…scored/fold…
  • Stamp a sentiment on a piece of scraps and use a punch to pop it out! I love the Tag Topper Punch for this project.
  • Use the Itty Bitty Accents  Punches to add the perfect touch and the glue dots work great to adhere.
  • Tie a fun piece of ribbon to close.

DONE….now go give these away and make someone smile!

IMG_9589

I hope that you go to the store…get some yummies and whip some of these up! You can use them for so many occasions. I shared with you that I am taking them to convention but these would be great for co-workers, bridge club, holidays….the ideas are endless!

Thanks for everyones kind words of kindness to us. We had another great day at home and I will leave you with another "Eddie" picture that will make you smile!

Until tomorrow!

Simple Saturday!

I am soooo confused with what day of the week it is….I kept thinking yesterday was Saturday as John was off from work and the fishermen were very successful but most importantly they had fun together! It is wonderful to have James home.

Happy 4th of July to everyone…it is just so hard to believe the that calendar is rolling forward so fast. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and if you are getting together with family and friends that you make great memories, eat lots of yummy food. We have a wonderful country and we are very blessed to have the opportunities that we have.

4th of July Independence Day USA Quotes, Jokes, Pictures, Messages ...

Trying to keep in the routine, today is Simple Saturday the 1st of a 2 day posting…please pop back tomorrow and you will see the "stepped up" version from today's post!

When the new catalog came out, my eyes fell in LOVE with the Watercolor Wishes on Page 80….I instantly fell in love with the stamp set and I was "totally fine" with it being a "kit" as WOWZERS – for $35.00 you get everything to make 20 incredible and practical cards….plus 2 ink spots…a clear mount block, stampin dimensionals and embellishments….and the ICING ON THE CAKE…this fabulous stamp set….

Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 9.03.34 PM

Below you will see (5) collage of cards that I put together last night. I was expecting the UPS man to come…and I kept checking and checking and it said that it was out for delivery….and then at 5:30 last night, the Brown Truck rolled down the lane!

I threw the kit together and I LOVE IT…and I am going to "step it up" tomorrow (now don't get too excited, this is already FABULOUS….I am just going to give you some ideas for those of you that like to switch things up)!

Remember, click of each collage to see the images larger and I hope to see you back tomorrow. I am OVER THE MOON with this kit and it will be a huge hit for newbies, beginners, advanced and especially for those that simply "do not want to think…just want some "me time" and feel rewarded by making 20 cards in one sitting"!

Enjoy….

Well….don't you agree…..isn't it wonderful! Please pop back tomorrow and I will give you more ideas of change ups and also things that I like about this set.

Please grab a cup of coffee and watch this short view that Stampin' Up! made on this product, it is a fabulous short video that will give you the feel of the kit!

Blue Ribbon in my eyes, not only was it fun to make up…it was easy….it was filled with quality products and the end result – 20 fabulous cards that I am going to be proud to send!

Please feel free to email me, and have a safe holiday! Until tomorrow!

Step it up Sunday!

IMG_8874

Here is is – the 2nd of the 2 day post. Please click here to see yesterday's post on the treat bags. Remember that these are 25% off just thru Monday evening so NOW is the time for you to "hop on this deal". Also…read down to the end as I have a gift for you that qualify!

Below you will see the super simple and fun cards that I made that slide right down into the mini treat bag. Enjoy!

IMG_8888

Here is another peek of the bags from yesterday and then I am going to share with you the dimensions to make some simple and quick cards to tuck in.

IMG_8857

  • The card base is 3 1/2" X 10" and scored at 5" ( you will get (2) cards from a sheet of paper.
  • Use the left over from cutting the cards to cut out the banner framelits and then also use scraps to cut out another color that will coordinate.
  • The 1st mat layer that gets adhered to the card base is 3 1/4" X 4 3/4"
  • The next mat is 3" X 4 1/2"
  • For the card that I made the pocket to slid a check into…it is a piece 1 1/2" X 3 1/2 and then the piece that I cut the heart out is 1" X 3 1/2"

You can clearly see that the sky is the limit and if you pop back to yesterday's comments….Chris did a BANG UP job with ideas in what to fill it with! I am going to use these a bunch.

I am going to share with you a collage of pictures that you will get a great idea on how to see the details of the cards. When you think of it – the sky is the limit and the other great thing is that this will slip into our envelopes if you wanted to mail this "special duo"! Here comes a woot woot!

(Please make sure that you click on these collages so they get "nice & big" on your screen and you can read the tips and scoop I have given you)

I hope that you enjoyed this 2 day fun and that I have inspired you! I am a HUGE believer that purchasing "practical" dies to make simple 3 D's is a very smart move. This one you get so much more than the the treat bag…you get a bunch of extras to help with other card projects!

Remember, this is on the weekly deals and the weekly deals are only good thru tomorrow night….NOT Tuesday morning when you wake up….Remember, the deals are revealed on Tuesday and end Monday night.

Now here is a special deal for you if you purchase the Mini Treat Gift Bag Framelit from me today or tomorrow.

IMG_8870

To make the deal even sweeter, if you purchase this die and the Greetings Thinlits  (click here and see the post I did on Friday using it) from me today or tomorrow, I will send to you the applicators from the above picture as well as the MUST HAVE product, the Silicone Craft Mat…even if you have one – I find it is like the "lost sock" – you loose it and then PRESTO – it shows up!

Thanks for popping in and many thanks for all of the well wishes….I have received so many great cards….sounds like it is time to do a "Parade of Beauties" – I always think that it is so fun and inspiring to see ideas that others do.

Please feel free to email me...and I hope that you have a great end of the weekend…it's been a wet on on the East Coast. Enjoy these pictures of Eddie and Leo….dear old Eddie…one special guy but he does get cold in the air conditioning….he loves to be covered up!

Show and Tell Saturday!

IMG_8851

It's back….the 2 day weekend format of showing something today and then pop back tomorrow and see how I have "stepped it" up a bit. Now don't click me off that this is not a card as I think that this is SUPER cute and I know that tomorrow you will enjoy that as well! (trust me)

CONFESSIONS OF AN HONEST DEMONSTRATOR: – I bought this die when it came out in the Occasions Catalog and I have never used it until now…(sound familiar to anyone else)??? On Tuesday when I saw it was on the weekly deals I thought – this is silly – pull that thing out and give it a spin!

Well…let me tell you – this is one that you need to hit that SHOP NOW button and get it especially since it is 25% off with the weekly deals. I am actually bummed that it took me so long to fall in love with this as I can see how much I will use it!

137547G

I do realize that the majority of my customers like to "look at" the 3D projects I make but are reluctant to make them. When I first started paper crafting I was the exact same way, I was truthfully fearful that I would not figure out how to put it together.

True the dies are more pricey but you will be amazed at how versatile they are and the longevity of them is fabulous as we always come out with new paper (and we all know we have a TON of discontinued paper that we scratch our heads and say what do I do with all of this)!!! and this die is a perfect example of how you can use it all year long!

Let's get to it – it is super duper straight forward…sometimes we just need to see pictures to help us "see the way". The thing that I really love about this die is that it is perfect with the paper stacks!

Now that the paper stacks are 6" X 6" – and in each stack there are (4) of the same print of paper – to make one bag you use 1 1/2 sheets of paper…so you can make 2 of these bags and still have a sheet left! LOVE THAT!

Enjoy the parade of pictures…so easy to do and today I chose to use the new adhesive Tear & Tape Adhesive. It is wonderful that you do not need to use scissors…a quick tear and DONE!

IMG_8834

  IMG_8837

IMG_8839

The next fun part is playing with the other dies that are in the set. The ideas are endless and the banner is perfect for the size of the adorable bag.

IMG_8840

A couple of "dashes" add the fun flair and then the bakers twine….the BEST bang for your buck and I love that you can do so much with it – bows…loops – FUN!

IMG_8841

Now to the parade of the others!

Please pop back tomorrow and see what I have up my sleeve!

IMG_8847

Well….thoughts??? When I showed them to John he naturally smiled and said. "They are cute" – "Were they hard to make"? – Then he said…they would be great for my employees during tax season with a cookie in them…

hmmm – do you think he is taking advantage of my Stampin' Fun??? YEP, and I love it that not only he thinks about his employees…he knows that it brings me joy to do it for him! I just love making things with my hands!

IMG_8857

I can't wait to show you what tomorrow will bring. I think that you will smile. I have had a lot of emails asking if I do a rewards program….the answer – YES! Below you will see it and please feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Rewind for Friday Fun!

Good Morning! I had posted about this earlier this year and I felt that it was appropriate to "re-do" it again as I will be needing my box of fun! Please make sure that you do read to the end as I have a super easy tip for you and your re-inkers!

I set all of my blog posts to go off on a schedule and I am hopeful that tomorrow I will be feeling up to it to blog and let you know how I am….below is what I call my Box of fun….it has all of the necessities in it for me to work on my projects!

IMG_7085

It truly is amazing what a Kleenex Box will do for you…(it actually brings back wonderful memories of when the kids needed to make school projects). I covered it with paper, DSP and ribbon to have on special Box of Stampin' fun!

When I broke my ankle the 1st time, my wonderful husband was getting a bit frustrated with all of my stampin' stuff here and there in our family room. We were getting ready to have a Blog Hop with the theme of recycling and BAM…this came to mind!

IMG_7086

My "work table" is back on the 1st floor until I can do steps… and my box of fun is downstairs as well. Here is the analogy that I like to use with my Box of fun….

I like to think of it as a kitchen, when you have the proper utensils, the cooking process goes so much smoother…and just like equipping a kitchen – it takes time, it is an investment but here is my take on the "must haves" for making me roll with my projects!

IMG_7091

Here are the goodies that are in my Box of Fun….it is amazing how much you can get in!

(These are in no particular order, I am just peaking in my box and typing away!)

  • Stampin' Pierce Mat
  • Stampin' Scrub (Once you get use to using this – you'll never be without it)
  • Stampin' Mist
  • Craft Scissors (I know…and indulgence – but SOOOOOO worth it – you'll never regret it….actually I bet you'll buy another within 6 months – I keep one for paper and one for ribbon)
  • Paper Snips Scissors
  • Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (no sighing here….try it – you'll LOVE IT)
  • Adhesive Remover (Simply the best, especially if you use the "green glue" a bunch)
  • Snail Permanent Adhesive
  • Glue Dots
  • Sticky Strip
  • Liquid Multipurpose Glue
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Silicone Craft Sheet
  • Bone Folder
  • Paper-Piercing Tool
  • Simply Scored Stylus
  • Project Life Journaling Pens (these are the best to write with in your cards…they do not smear one bit!)
  • White Gel Pen (what would I do without my trusty friend)

These are the Stampin' Up! Products that were a supporting actress to my box of fun!

  • Tiny Treat Boxes
  • 1-3/8" Circle Punch ( to make the hole for the boxes)
  • Blushing Bride 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock
  • Blushing Bride 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon
  • Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (A MUST HAVE!!!)
  • Flower Pot Designer Series Paper
  • Regals Candy Dots
  • Perfect Print Alphabet Bigz Die
  • Vanilla Coaster Board (I adore this and used it to "lift up" my letters, this is what I used to make my Easter Baskets. It is overlooked in the catalog but sure does come in handy!)
  • Big Shot

IMG_7093

Non Stampin' Up Things in my box of tricks!

  • Mechanical Pencil (I think the lead is softer making it super easy to erase)
  • Magic Rub Eraser (a simple eraser that you can buy at any office store)
  • A Good Ruler (I like one that is clear and one that goes down to 1/8" marks
  • A note pad (I always like to have scratch paper to write note and tips for my postings)

IMG_8654

Now for a TIP FOR THE DAY!

When I first started with Stampin' Up! I did not "get" the importance of purchasing the re-inkers until I was working on a project that I was not getting a good stamp….and who in the heck wants to wait for an order to come in for something as simple as a re-inker.

They are very affordable and when I purchase mine, each collection came in a box so it was super easy for me to use my label maker and type Regals….Brights etc…. but then I always had a hard time reading the tiny print as to what color it is.

Take the hole puncher and pop out the color that is in the bottle…adhere it with a glue dot and BAM – you can find the color you are looking for super quick!

Until tomorrow!

Pals Blog Hop: In With the New…

6a00e54f95df92883401bb083d6cde970d-800wi

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for June.  This month we are excited to show off new Stampin' Up! products from the just released 2015 – 2016 annual catalog.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.  Get your wish list ready!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie, number 17 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

There is so much to love with this new catalog so I tried to put as much in the card that I could….(my FUN order isn't to be here until Friday so I am still working with a limited amount)

IMG_8441

I am a true blue clean and simple gal – I love a very straight forward project and I am head over heels with the Background Designer Series Stacks – LOVE THEM…the prints are so fun and fresh!

Today I used selections from the Brights collection and the 1" square punch. So easy to turn the daffodil paper to an angle to get the effect of horizontal and vertical stripes with the square punch!

138434G

I think working and playing with paper is key in keeping cards/projects affordable plus it gives you sooooo many different ways to show your creativity!

It simple does not get any easier than this – POP of paper….adhere and done!

IMG_8444

The hostess stamp sets are great! This one, Happy Birthday, Everyone has not only a great Image as shown here…but it also comes with a super variety of sentiments to "tag along" It really is not as hard as you think to  earn rewards for a hostess set!

IMG_8443

If you follow my blog (and I hope you do/will), than you know I adore my dashes and dots….the white gel pen is an all time favorite of mine and I also adore working with Bakers twine. It is not only sooooo darn affordable, it can create a wow in an instant!

IMG_8445

Well…thoughts???? Would this perky Birthday Card make you happy! If you have time, please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!

There is lots of HOPPING to do…so please have fun….be a sponge and take it all in – there is so much to see and I realize that it takes a while for us to "figure out" the new catalog…I am thankful that we have a HOP like this to help!

IMG_8447

The next stop is Debra Simonis at Deb's Stampin' Grounds, number 19 on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!
