Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for April 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects that are all about our families. This is a great time of year to think about what to make for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or upcoming graduations. And, family vacations are just around the corner… how would you want to remember those special family moments? We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

I just love this theme today and I am happy and proud to say that our “red caboose” will be graduating from college next month…seeing the last to walk across a stage will be bittersweet for us – she has had a great college experience!
You cannot get any easier (or cuter) than this clean and simple graduation card. Very practical as you can use both the positive and negative to make 2 cards….below you will see what I am talking about!
The stamp set, Bravo is a true keeper! Just look at all of the fun sentiments in this set – there is something for every celebration you would need. The fonts are fun, the sentiments are fun….just one great set and to me the best thing – it is a photopolymer!

I wish that you could see these in person because the camera simply does not give it justice. The size is larger, a 4″ X 6″ card and the “flowers” for the girls and the “stars” for the guys made this a FUN card to make.
Can you see that the additional layer of white I used the simply scored? This is a simple and super fast touch that just “frames” the card to make the focal point POP! I think that you can also see that the different fonts for these cards are suitable for both the “girl version” and the “boy version”

Below you can see the scoring close up! I change it up often but today I chose to do 2 scoring lines on all 4 sides! Have fun with this – one time do just 1…..maybe do 3 on the sides and 1 across the bottom ~ just have fun.

Do you see the LIFT on the numbers? I just adore this touch. I just used fun foam and ran them through the Big Shot like normal. I think that the contrast in the white and black is perfect for this card today.

Flipping back to the masculine version, I chose to adhere this whole thing flat…and I liked the result! This is what is fun about doing what we do…changing things up from card to card keeps things fun and fresh to us – it is all about having fun!

Because I made an odd size card, I made my own envelope! Looking through my stash of products I saw the red envelope papers and it was like a BEAM OF LIGHT that struck me and I adore the result. (wanta know a super secret that will make you smile? ~ this is in the clearance and yep….I stocked up on it as it is perfect for other holidays)
I must admit, I have forgotten about our envelope liner papers…it comes together like a dream!!!

Here you go …you “how and why” picture. I highly recommend this card for a super clean and simple card for the graduate in your life. I was smiling when I completed them and I know that you would like them!
I realize that they simple…but that it what makes me roll. I am a timeless and classic gal that loves to share….now I know that you have a BUNCH OF HOPPING TO DO and I too am excited to see what the other PALS did today!
This is one talented group of stampers and you know what the best thing is…we have FUN! Now be a bunny and hop away!

Welcome to the Pals November Blog Hop, we’re so thankful you stopped by. This month we’re showcasing projects that feature Stampin’ Up! Thanksgiving and “Thank You” products. We hope you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or you may have come from the previous blog on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you can enjoy each and every beautiful project.

I just love this time of the year…(except the time change) and I think that it is super fun to make unexpected gifts to celebrate with family & friends….in general, to be thankful! I am sure that many of you have seen these super cute jars of cookies but trust me, they are always a huge hit!
Please click the recipe ~ M & M Cookie Recipe and get ready to go to the grocery store and make people smile!
Remember gifts from your hands and heart are a true work of art!
Decorating the jar is the fun part! I have kept this super simple and I hope that the pictures will bring clarity for you! Please feel free to email me if I can be of specific help but I think one thing that is for sure….this is a super cute and yummy project!

The burlap ribbon, the circle framelit to cover the top made this an easy way to jazz up a good old faithful, the Mason Jar!!! The leaves were super easy to make and if you are doing this with children, they will love it!
I simply took scraps of the paper of the leaves and balled up the paper, smoothed it out…balled it up again (doing this works the fibers in the paper to make a fun effect) and then ran it through the Big Shot using the leaf framelits! FUN AND EASY! Because I cannot list out the markers individually, the colors I used are Crushed Curry, Old Olive & Early Espresso….you can really use any color combination you have!

The banner was a cinch to make with the banner framelits! When I stamped the image onto the vanilla scraps, I took the markers and inked them up…gave a BIG HUFF of Stampin' love and then stamped….it works…it is fun!

One idea that is fun to do…after you make the cookies, fill the jar with family memories and things to be thankful for….and then while you are together with your family over the holiday, have people pull out a memory….it is a great way to have fun conversation and relive memories1

There you go my friends, you all know that I love to share with you the "little and special" things that I like to do and it is a joy to share them with you! Sharing is a huge part of what I do and I hope that this inspires you. You will be amazed at special it will be to someone to receive a simple and creative gift like this!
Enjoy this blog hop…there is always so much talent out there – be a huge sponge and soak it up!
If you are new to my blog, welcome and I invite you to subscribe to my blog as I love to share what I do each and everyday!
Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

by Susan Itell | Oct 14, 2015 | Fall Cards, PALS Blog Hops |

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for October where we are celebrating an early Fall season by sharing Halloween and Autumn projects using our wonderful Stampin’ Up! supplies. We hope you enjoy our creations!
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Jane Knudsen at See Jane Stamp, number 14 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Today I am showing a Fall Card as not only is Fall my very favorite season of the year, but where I live in Maryland we are starting to see the beauty of the changing of the leaves. Isn't it just spectacular to see the beauty of nature?
You might be surprised that I am using a color that you do not see a bunch. It is Always Artichoke and I am personally a fan of it. WHY? It will fool you as it looks great with many different colors…try it!

This is a super easy card to make and also this would be a great card to make many of (I think that this might be my Thanksgiving Card). The star of the show is the fabulous Lighthearted Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set and you know me and my sentiment die cuts ~ LOVE THEM…..FAST~EASY~DONE….that my motto and I am going to stick by it!

The always artichoke piece is ¼” smaller than the base and then I took it to the simply scored and scored it 1 notch in and then 2 notches it….as super fun and easy technique that carries a big punch!

After I completed the scoring, I adhere this to the very vanilla before putting dimensionals on the vanilla piece.
I stamped the leaf on a scrap of Very Vanilla and then used the framelit to cut it out! While I had the framlit out, I went ahead and cut out (2) more leaves in the vanilla coaster board to give the leaf some lift!
Now for the FUN part…coloring – go back to your childhood and have FUN.
No rules, just pick some colors that you like and go to town! The markers that I used today are Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Hello Honey. It is both fun and relaxing to color and you will always end with a huge smile on your face!

The soft and simple bow was made my simply pulling 3 strands of threads from the burlap ribbon and adhered with a glue dot. I think that this makes the sweetest bow as it is so natural and always lays great!
The sentiment is from the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies. A true keeper of keepers and along with the vanilla coaster board…you are good to go with a SUPER SIMPLE yet CLASSIC look! I did the same thing that I did with the leaf. cut one in the very vanilla and (2) in the coaster board. I use the "green glue" to adhere the layers!

I adore lined envelopes and today is no difference. Using the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack and the envelope liner framelit….love this look!

This card is not only clean, crisp and classic….it is so much fun to make and super fun to change up the colors for a totally different look!

The next stop is Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty, number 16 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!
Have a fabulous day….have fun HOPPING and find some "me time" for you to create some beauties! Until tomorrow.

I thank Stampin' Up! for continuing to offer more and more Bundles and today I am going to share with you a bundle that I simple adore! It is A Little Something Bundle! Why do I love this so much?
Easy…it creates fun, simple & useful "pillow boxes" that can be filled with so many things ~ from candy, to 3 X 3 cards, to gift certificates….jewelry – the sky is the limit.

In the pictures below you will see that I have tried to inspire you with many different ways to use these products. I adore making 3 X 3 cards….I think that is something that we forget about making. They not only are super handy to have but they also make wonderful gifts!

When you make a pillow box, it uses just one sheet of paper per box. I trim it to 5 1/2" X 6" and still have some scraps for other projects.
Being able to add bling with an embossing folders makes it so much fun! I really like using the tone on tone effect with the fantastic stamps that are in this stamp set – FUN!

No who does not like M & M's? I like using the themed colors that are available now…just have fun thinking out of the box when using this framelit.
The cotton ribbon makes such beautiful bows…ties like a dream and the little touch of Bakers Twine adds interest.

This tear tape is amazing to use for project like this! Not only is it super strong it is so easy to use. Love the fact that you can tear it…..no more red tape sticking to you! I say – WOOT-WOOT!
'
Ho-Ho-Ho!!! Isn't this a cute ensemble? I love this pom-pom trim and it is just so much fun to play around and create all different goodies! I hope that these examples will inspire you to hit that SHOP NOW button and get going! Make a list of all of the gifts you can make using this fabulous bundle!

Look at the fabulous images below to see how you can tie both if these items together, the stamp set and the framelit to create many amazing works of art!

by Susan Itell | Jul 8, 2015 | PALS Blog Hops, Thank You |

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July. This month we are excited to show off the new 2015 – 2017 Stampin' Up! In Colors, namely, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. The In Color products include card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and other embellishments. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Beth McCullough's Blog, number 9 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Hello everyone….we have 5 new friends that will be with us for 2 years and I am super excited as I can honestly say that they all are dynamite! Now I know that Mint Macaron seems to be a favorite so I thought I would pass on that today….
And then there is Delightful Dijon….poor color…there are not as many that like this one but I will think that you will fall in love with it especially in the fall…I adore the boldness of both Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush…and to bring the family together, Tip Top Taupe…a fabulous neutral that we have been needing !

I am going to let the pictures tell the story of this clean and classic card. I love the fact that it uses a single stamp and then there are coordinating punches to use to make the WOW happen! Remember, you can see the whole line up in the scrolling store at the end of the post!

The "thickness" of the sentiment really makes a statement but it totally finishes the card. Next time you place an order, throw some coater board in the shopping cart….it does come in handy!

Just like clothes….you can not go wrong with Black and White with a POP of color! This is a simple card htat can be made in many sizes of cards, just adjust your measurements!
This flower also looks adorable on a gift bag…it just is FUN!

The next stop is Nancy Gleason, number 11 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!
Enjoy the day….have fun hopping around at all of the talent and I hope that you will hop back again to see me! Please feel free to email me or leave a comment….enjoy the hop!

by Susan Itell | Jun 10, 2015 | 3-D Projects, Birthday, Hostess Stamp Sets, PALS Blog Hops |

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for June. This month we are excited to show off new Stampin' Up! products from the just released 2015 – 2016 annual catalog. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie, number 17 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
There is so much to love with this new catalog so I tried to put as much in the card that I could….(my FUN order isn't to be here until Friday so I am still working with a limited amount)

I am a true blue clean and simple gal – I love a very straight forward project and I am head over heels with the Background Designer Series Stacks – LOVE THEM…the prints are so fun and fresh!
Today I used selections from the Brights collection and the 1" square punch. So easy to turn the daffodil paper to an angle to get the effect of horizontal and vertical stripes with the square punch!

I think working and playing with paper is key in keeping cards/projects affordable plus it gives you sooooo many different ways to show your creativity!
It simple does not get any easier than this – POP of paper….adhere and done!

The hostess stamp sets are great! This one, Happy Birthday, Everyone has not only a great Image as shown here…but it also comes with a super variety of sentiments to "tag along" It really is not as hard as you think to earn rewards for a hostess set!

If you follow my blog (and I hope you do/will), than you know I adore my dashes and dots….the white gel pen is an all time favorite of mine and I also adore working with Bakers twine. It is not only sooooo darn affordable, it can create a wow in an instant!

Well…thoughts???? Would this perky Birthday Card make you happy! If you have time, please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!
There is lots of HOPPING to do…so please have fun….be a sponge and take it all in – there is so much to see and I realize that it takes a while for us to "figure out" the new catalog…I am thankful that we have a HOP like this to help!

The next stop is Debra Simonis at Deb's Stampin' Grounds, number 19 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!
