Well…are Mondays a good thing or a bad thing? I am embracing today as I am putting my foot down to no more Kleenex’s….no more pity parties…time to move this sickness train on and hopefully SQUISH IT so no one else gets the bug!
In 8 days…..there will be 3 NEW Sale-a-Bration items becoming available for you with a $50 purchase….and I think from the chats I have seen – YOU ALL really – REALLY like them! Today I am using the stamp set, Reverse Words. It is fun and unique!

Hands DOWN – I adore this stamp set – you all know how I feel about great sentiments and free-hand words like this! I think that it is brilliant and that font is….. oh so special! I ask you, how can you go wrong?!?!?
I took the “meat “ from this FREEBIE stamp set and then the “potatoes” are from the super great “fall back” of Cottage Greetings in a super simple banner!

Below you will see a picture that you can see the sequins and some FUN dots made by a product called Nuvo Jewel Drops….they are super fun – very easy to use and they come in a huge array of colors – the biggest “head up” is…be patient and let them dry and they will stay “perky through the mail”
I love the look and feel that they give…It is one of those – secret touches that make a big impact.

Here is my “smile” picture…darn I love when everything coordinates! This paper is from the Annual Catalog, Moroccan DSP and I have used it a BUNCH as it lends itself to so many clean and classic projects! The “In Color”, Delightful Dijon will be walking the plank on June 1st but I do not know if you are like me….it takes a while to learn to love and appreciate these In Colors and I am personally going to miss this one!

Here is your picture to PIN…this card today is a great example of how something soooooooo incredibly simple can be soooooooo classic! Be simple…be brave…..you will be happy!

Speaking of being happy…Pop back tomorrow as I have a video for your “Tips for Your Tuesday”.…it is all about conditioning your stamps as we need to think of our stamps are like a new pair of shoes….they need some time and TLC before they are comfy!
Enjoy your day…and I hope to see you tomorrow!

by Susan Itell | Feb 2, 2017 | Sale-A-Bration, Thank You |

Now I ask you…is doesn’t get any easier than this…..right???? But also I ask you….don’t you think that is super cute? This is the first time that I have blogged about this stamp set, All Things Thanks and I think that you can see below in the stamp image, it is a great stamp set. We always seem to need “thank you stamps” and I think that the sentiments and fonts are super!

This literally is a “minutes” card to make – the most time consuming part (and actually it is not bad as it is always rewarding) is the heat embossing! The card is a 4 1/4″ square card and then the center strip of Navy is a 2″ X 4 1/4″ piece and then the Watermelon Wonder are thin slivers, 1/8″ and then adhered! SO SIMPLE!!! 🙂

The fast ease of this card was by covering the whole front of the card stock with this super fun DSP that is part of SAB so with a $50.00 order, it can be your for FREE!!!! (I say yippee as we all love these goodies). The card is completely flat (something that I rarely do) but I will say, I think that it is handsome!)

I love the boldness of this unique paper offering. I say, how can you not go wrong with the classic look of Navy and then a POP of color! Works for me! You could easily make this a regular size card or also a notecard…just make the adjustments! I think that anyone would love to receive this classic!

You can see that the custom envelope and the fun back flap pulled it all together! It is so easy to make a project complete ~ once you get into the swing of it, you will always give your envelopes some love.
Something that I forget to do and I honestly do not know why….I used (3) enamel dots and I LOVED that simple accent. I think that the color against the navy screams WOW!

Here is your picture to “PIN’...it really is so simple, you could copy this without any help!

I am having to go out of town today….so with that said, I am fearful that I will not have time to whip up a post soooooooo I think tomorrow we should have some BLOG CANDY!!!!! 🙂 I love to read your comments when we have Blog Candy!
With that said, pop back tomorrow to see what I have up my sleeve and maybe you will be the winner! Thanks for popping in and I hope that this clean and simple card has lifted you UP today!

by Susan Itell | Jan 29, 2017 | Sale-A-Bration, Step it up Sunday! |

Good morning, I admit – I love doing these 2 day challenges but at the same time….I worry if you all are to going to see or shall I say “get” the differences. I do hope that you will read and take a look at the pictures to see the difference. I have a BUNCH of pictures for you today!
Sometimes you just have to “try it” and hold it in your hands…it all comes down to time and preference but I love to be able to share with you a variety of ways to create! Remember, we all see things in different ways and there is no “right or wrong” way to do it – the important part is to JUST DO IT….make cards as cards make people smile… feel happy and special!
Here you go- side be side….YOU decide! I will share with you along the picture trail the changes I made! So you have a preference? Please feel free to leave a comment, this is how we learn and grow!

We are still playing with the FREEBIE from Sale-a-bration, Avant Garden and today I added in the little dots stamp to the fun from yesterday! Adding a simple yet artsy look give a different feel of instant texture. I used Sahara Sand and I inked it off to just give a soft, subtle look.

To start today’s card I did something different than yesterday! Remember yesterday I “ADDED THE SENTIMENT STRIP ON TOP” but today I am going to CUT AWAY and then add in a sentiment strip.
Below in the picture you can see that I used a pencil to draw a 1 1/2″ space. I went ahead and stamped like I did yesterday and then cut at the pencil lines using the trimmer to create a gap that my sentiment strip will fit in! (you with me???)
The next 3 pictures will help you see the process!

I know that it is super hard to see but after I stamped the sentiment in the Tip Top Taupe I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it. You need to work fast but it is very doable and it does create that extra special look and feel that steps it up! I also went over the Taupe insides of the flowers with the clear embossing power….really made a fun and interesting effect but then the trip of teeny pearls were the icing on the cake!

I like this picture below as you can really see the “solid look” of the card. There is just something stunning about a bunch of white space and then having a “lift” off of the white card base is a classic and super clean look.
You know me and my white gel pen….could not, would not be without it. It is my friend that always makes a pop each and every time!

Here is a great shot on how the subtle dots in the background are effective. This is something that probably 2 years ago would never have done but little by little I try to be a turtle and try new things….sometimes I like them…sometimes not – that is what it is all about, trying and having fun!

Below is your smile picture…for you, the card maker….the recipient and the Mail Man!
My postal ladies are funny….when they see a card that i am mailing they will comment – wow, you must really like this person…they got a double stamp and this poor person just got a pretty envelope flap! (They are sooooo funny) and always make me smile!

Now here is a great tip! I would make up a bunch of these cards….perhaps have fun and change up the color combo etc…but leave the sentiment area blank and then give the recipient a bunch of strips with sentiments stamped on it….this way they can choose what type of card to send,
Wouldn’t this be a great and thoughtful gift to give and one that is sooooooo practical! I would put 2 strips of tear & tape on the back of the strips and also give them a great pen, our Project life ones are THE BEST as they do not smear! (adding stamps would be great as well)

I hope that these cheery flowers brought some sunshine to your day and also I hope that your day is filled with sunshine! The long days of Winter seem to get the best of us but that calendar will be changing on Wednesday so we are getting a little closer to a change! (hmmmm, you can see that I am trying to convince myself – I really do not like the cold)
Remember, jammie shopping is totally on trend….I do it often! I hope to see you tomorrow as we are going to play “Show and Tell” – it is a show stopper!

Hello to all and welcome to Simple Saturday! I have just been ITCHIN’ to ink up this stamp set and it felt great to do so! This stamp set, Avant Garden is a FREEBIE one from the fabulous Sale-a-bration collection of freebies that you can pick with every incremental order of $50.00!

I know that I have shared this with you all a bunch but I love to point it out….PLEASE USE THE FABULOUS SAMPLES in our catalogs for inspiration! The minute I saw the card (below) in the SAB Catalog, I knew that I was going to CASE it…and that is exactly what I did today!
It’s funny…there are times that I have people ask me if I think it is wrong to CASE…..I say, “HECK NO” – if it helps your “mojo” get kick started than by all means ~ GO FOR IT! Remember, that is super flattering to someone that you liked it so much that you wanted to give it a spin!

This is how I went about making this super sweet card. I pick my focal colors that I wanted (Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum) and went from there! The leaves were Pear Pizzazz.
I just had the above Stampin’ Up! Sample up on my computer and became “Picasso” and sent to town to try to interpret it. The lighter pink is the Flirty Flamingo “stamped off once” to give it a softer look and basically a totally different color.
Can you see my boo-boo…..it happens to use all, a “wobble” of the bock will do this 👿 but there was no way that I was going to start over….JUST MAKE LEMONADE! 🙂

The PRESTO was making a strip that would hide my boo-boo…..we can call if a paper band-aide! It was 1 /2″ wide and then I matted it with Tip Top Taupe just a smidge larger!

Now I think that we all can agree…this is a card that I think anyone would be proud to send. Let’s chat about that SUPER FUN polka dot paper, this is from the In Color DSP Stack…it is just always the perfect finishing touch (this is why I always include them on my Product Shares…when in doubt – pull the DSP’s out)

I can share with you thins…in looking at peoples favorites with the SAB items…the most popular are this stamp set, Avant Garden and Hey Chick! I can remember when I was a customer, I loved this time of the year and always looked forward to these FREEBIES. Remember, with every order of $50.00 ~ you can pick a FREEBIE from the SAB Catalog!
Enjoy the day…we are already blowing through the 1st month of the year…….(On Wednesday I was going to remind you that Christmas was 11 months away…but I just couldn’t do it) 😆 ~ heck – I walk through our home and still find odds and ends of Christmas!!!

Meet peepers! She is a part of the Hey Chick’s Sale-a-bration Stamp set and let me tell you…..peepers is happy that she is not in the egg carton! (I told her that she never has to worry about being a fried egg sandwich)
O.k. – I am just getting this out there right off the bat – I LOVE THIS CARD! It “cracks” me up (sorry peepers) and I think that this is a great card to say a “WAY TO GO“…..”THINKING OF YOU“….or just a good old fashion “HELLO“! 😀
We have been having lots of fun with the Hey Chicks Stamp Set and I still need to feature the other hen…but trust me, I’ll do it! This SAB item has been soooooooo popular!

Speaking of being SUPER popular and it is on backorder…today is the last day that you will be able to order the Watercolor Pencils before Stampin’ Up! flicks the switch to say that they are not order-able (kind of like they had to do with the stitched framelits) as these pencils have been SUPER POPULAR and if I were you…..I would HIT THAT PAW PRINT and get them now.

This is from the home office in regard to the pencils :
- In order to give you time to contact your customers so they may close any affected orders, this product will remain available until Thursday, January 26 at 12:00 PM (MT); it will then be placed in not-orderable status.
So the moral of this pencil story is….order them this morning this way you will be assured that you will get them (even if they say that they are on back-order) – once they go to not-orderable…..there is no tellin’ when they will be available. 😕

Speaking of the pencils, remember…if your order is $75 + I will send you a set of the blender pens. These work great with this watercolor pencils and they are like “magic” – swipe the end back and forth and it is clean and good to go! Please use the hostess code of S4WKPUZG
Let’s get to peepers…..this is a note card size (3 1/2″ X 5″) and they are a great bang for your buck! Just $6.00 for 20 cards and envelopes….I say – BRING IT ON!
I simply cover the entire front with the sweet DSP from the Sending Love DSP Stack and I had plenty to adhere to the outside of the envelope.

Let’s chat about this stamp set – Perfect Mix…I bet that many of you thought – WHAT THE HECK when you saw it…well I said – COME HOME TO RANDALL LANE…..I LOVE to cook and I love the fact that you can have fun with the “pun” sentiments. This type of stamp set is very on trend right now, there are several other companies out there with a similar product – I think that it is super fun and fresh!

I know that you like sizes and I get it….when I see a card that I want to CASE – wow…sizes make me smile! The size of the thick whisper white is 3 3/4″ X 2 3/4″ and then I matted it with just a “peep” of black to help the POP!!!! (again, sorry peepers…you won’t end up at the grocery store and get cracked)
After using the Black Archival Ink all I did was simply use the watercolor pencils with the blender pens – it is as simple as that but here you go again, simple WORKED….simple is CUTE and face it – SIMPLE IS JUST SIMPLE!

She is one happy little chick and I am excited to send her out! I think that I am going to make up a bunch of these to keep on hand – they are just too tootin’ cute! I am excited to read your comments about the “new chick”

That it my chicks! Let’s have a great Thursday….I admit it was wonderful to see the sun shine yesterday….the blankets came off the horses and yep – they rolled and rolled in the mud and I am sure that it felt great to them! I was starting to feel like “blue cheese” with all of the rain we have been having – (at least it is not S N O W ) 😛
Again, if you are interested int he watercolor pencils, I would get them this morning as there is not tellin’ when they will be back in stock. Remember, with a $50.00 order you will be able to pick a FREEBIE SAB ITEM (perhaps these HOT CHICKS) and with a $75+ order – you get both the FREEBIE and the Blender Pens!
See you tomorrow!
p.s. – In memory of Mary Tyler Moore….what a great quote!

Woot – Woot….let’s all get up and do that HAPPY STAMPIN’ UP! DANCE as today the Stitched framelits are back online and available to order! Stampin’ Up! was B L O W N away with the response of these gems….(but dah…..if they asked me they would have seen me doing the dance saying YES – YES – YES……we want them!) 😀 just saying!
They sold out like hot cakes and if I have a hunch, I bet that they are going to sell again super quick! These will be in the next years Annual Catalog so there are not worries about them being on the “plank” but heck – even if they were…..who cares??? They are great, they are keepers and it is as easy as this = YOU NEED THEM!

Because of all of the great comments about the Sale -A -Bration items…I just had to have Phyllis and her friend make an appearance! Now we need to come up with a name for the “new chick” 😛Â
I used masking paper to stamp the image. I used to RUN as fast as I could when I heard the phrase, masking as I thought – WELL , THAT LEAVES ME OUT.….this sounds over my head but it is not…it is easy and just like anything else, if you have the right materials to make it work…you are golden!

I love using Inkadinkado Masking Paper and it is on sale right now as an “add on” with Amazon…so go ahead and put it in your cart but WAIT TO CHECK OUT until tomorrow as I have a Tuesday Tip that I think you are going to love and yep, it is from Amazon!
This masking paper will last you forever. I am still on my 1st pack so just order one. True, you could easily use post it note to mask off but I like this as you can get several stamps from this masking paper. I simply keep the images on the inside of my stamp set so they are ready for the next time!
Here is a quick run down….
- Picture #1 – Stamp the image on the WHITE side of the paper
- Picture #2 – “Fussy Cut” out the images….YIKES – where are the legs on Phyllis…they are too hard to cut….you can easily stamp them!
- Pictures #3 – I already stamped “no name CHICK on the right” and then put the mask over top and then stamped Phyllis 🙂

You can see how I stamped and then added our girl! Today I used the aqua painter to paint the girls and then I ADORE the grass……it is from the sheltering tree but it you do not have that stamp set….simply wisp away with the brush ends of you markers and you are good to go!
This is MY KINDA layout. I love working with shapes and I think that you simply cannot go wrong with a good old simple squares! Using the stitched squares as my base focal point worked…ALWAYS does…this is why I love working with shapes!

Now I ask you….it is cute…right????? I know that this has been a HUGE hit for a FREEBIE….so much that the Wood Mount are on backorder (and I really do not know if they will replenish them as they are a SAB item but the clear mount are available….so DON’T WAIT!!!! (the girls would not be happy if they did not come to your home) 😀

I was super excited that the stitched framelits are “good to go” and I do hope that you will act on them quickly! They are soooo on trend and I do hope that Stampin’ Up! comes out with even MORE stitched items….I LOVE THEM!
That’s it – it was a busy crazy weekend but here is to a NEW week! I have some fun things up my sleeve….tomorrow is TIPS for your TUESDAY!!!! See you back here – front and center!
p.s. – did you notice poor Phyllis, I think we need to be a good friend to her and let her know that she needs to get her hair done….her “roots” are looking pretty bad 🙂
