Step it up Sunday!

Did you get to see some fireworks last night? I did and they were BEAUTIFUL….I was able to zoom all over…I saw them in Washington DC…in New York…..In Boston  – I was just all over the place from the comforts of home… the TV!

I am doing great…and feelin' great. Each day I am feeling stronger and stronger and now I am to stand on crutches and slowly put weight down (just a couple of times a day) and then ZOOM – back to my scooter! I will have to wear that fashionable immobilizer until therapy starts in August as I just cannot flex my ankle.

Ok  – enough about me – let's get to the changes today! I just cannot say enough about this kit…it is just great! For those of you that do not like the word "kit" – don't let that sway you as you are getting a stamp set that is WOW and just think of how many other cards you will make with this practical stamp set.

Please pop back to yesterday's post to see all 20 of the cards that I put together, just as the instructions said and I think that they are great….but today I am going to tease you with (4) of them that I "stepped up"….I have made comments for you! ENJOY!

I will first have the card that I "stepped up" and then the next picture (collage) will show you what it looked like yesterday! (remember, click on the collage to make it bigger)

Well – there you go! Cute…right? In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with the way the kit comes…or the way that I have stepped it up today! They are both great and when you look at the additions, it are very affordable….bakers twine, the envelope liner paper…simple, basic items!

Here are a couple of comments about the kit…

  • There are extra wooden pieces left….(4 solid hearts, 2 open hearts & 4 butterflys)
  • You have plenty of washi tape left – (I actually did my 2nd set of cards with it)
  • Several leaves and a couple of flowers
  • Lots of sequins left.

This is just a great value, I think that you will agree that if you were to purchase this stamp set it would be at least $18.00+ ….just love the sentiments! Just think the stamp set and 20 cards and envelopes for just $35.00!

Do you want the rest of the "stepped up" images….easy, if you purchase this kit from me, I will be happy to send them to you! Hit that CLICK NOW button and get ready for fun!

You can see the extra items that I used in the scrolling store…and recommend the glue dots and the "green glue"…love these 2 items and Bakers Twine….a must have for sure!

Enjoy the day and I hoped that you enjoyed this showcase of this NEW product!

p.s. – For those of you that would like to earn hostess stamp sets and free product, this would be a fabulous opportunity for you to get a Hostess code from me…..send an email out to your friends and have your own Watercolor Wishes fun time!

With everything already being in the kit…it is a great way for you to invite friends and family to have fun and walk away with completed cards!

Here is is – the 2nd of the 2 day post. Please click here to see yesterday's post on the treat bags. Remember that these are 25% off just thru Monday evening so NOW is the time for you to "hop on this deal". Also…read down to the end as I have a gift for you that qualify!

Below you will see the super simple and fun cards that I made that slide right down into the mini treat bag. Enjoy!

IMG_8888

Here is another peek of the bags from yesterday and then I am going to share with you the dimensions to make some simple and quick cards to tuck in.

IMG_8857

  • The card base is 3 1/2" X 10" and scored at 5" ( you will get (2) cards from a sheet of paper.
  • Use the left over from cutting the cards to cut out the banner framelits and then also use scraps to cut out another color that will coordinate.
  • The 1st mat layer that gets adhered to the card base is 3 1/4" X 4 3/4"
  • The next mat is 3" X 4 1/2"
  • For the card that I made the pocket to slid a check into…it is a piece 1 1/2" X 3 1/2 and then the piece that I cut the heart out is 1" X 3 1/2"

You can clearly see that the sky is the limit and if you pop back to yesterday's comments….Chris did a BANG UP job with ideas in what to fill it with! I am going to use these a bunch.

I am going to share with you a collage of pictures that you will get a great idea on how to see the details of the cards. When you think of it – the sky is the limit and the other great thing is that this will slip into our envelopes if you wanted to mail this "special duo"! Here comes a woot woot!

(Please make sure that you click on these collages so they get "nice & big" on your screen and you can read the tips and scoop I have given you)

I hope that you enjoyed this 2 day fun and that I have inspired you! I am a HUGE believer that purchasing "practical" dies to make simple 3 D's is a very smart move. This one you get so much more than the the treat bag…you get a bunch of extras to help with other card projects!

Remember, this is on the weekly deals and the weekly deals are only good thru tomorrow night….NOT Tuesday morning when you wake up….Remember, the deals are revealed on Tuesday and end Monday night.

Now here is a special deal for you if you purchase the Mini Treat Gift Bag Framelit from me today or tomorrow.

IMG_8870

To make the deal even sweeter, if you purchase this die and the Greetings Thinlits  (click here and see the post I did on Friday using it) from me today or tomorrow, I will send to you the applicators from the above picture as well as the MUST HAVE product, the Silicone Craft Mat…even if you have one – I find it is like the "lost sock" – you loose it and then PRESTO – it shows up!

Thanks for popping in and many thanks for all of the well wishes….I have received so many great cards….sounds like it is time to do a "Parade of Beauties" – I always think that it is so fun and inspiring to see ideas that others do.

Please feel free to email me...and I hope that you have a great end of the weekend…it's been a wet on on the East Coast. Enjoy these pictures of Eddie and Leo….dear old Eddie…one special guy but he does get cold in the air conditioning….he loves to be covered up!

Step it up Sunday!

IMG_8532

Good Morning! Here is the stepped up version of the weekend fun! I am going to share with you a bunch of pictures as today I will let the pictures give you the inspiration and then pop back to yesterday's post to see that compared to this!

Please feel free to email me, I must say that I have not been on the computer much as I am traveling so I can check from my phone! I am sorry that the pictures are not the best but I do think that you will get "the feel"

PicMonkey Collage

The main difference is the cutting of the DSP….this is such and easy trick to do and with our trimmer…..WOWZERS – it is exact! They are 1" squares and then with the help of the "green glue", I adhered them into place! FUN…..right!?!?

IMG_8533

Can you see from the above picture how I cut off the bottom of the front part of the card  and then stamped my sentiment!. You might think that I am taking away from "writing space" but actually there is a bunch as the sentiment is so low!

IMG_8540

The sweet little flower and the bakers twine did the trick…now I ask you….do you have these accent punches…if not, you need them – they are time busters…..when in doubt….put one in!

IMG_8539

I actually really, really like both of them….how about YOU? I hope that you try this fun techinque. (just make sure you remember the way the pieces go back together)…it's a puzzle!

The green glue is a HUGE help….love that wiggle time!

IMG_8536

I hope that weekend post was a fun one for you to see. The main thing that I want to show you is that you can make clean cards and make some simple tweaks to make is a bit different.

SUPER BUSY week ahead….it's all good or should I say, it will all be good! Tomorrow is a new group of weekly deals – remember this is the last day for this batch!

Have a fabulous day! Until tomorrow…..

Step it up Sunday!

IMG_8410

Happy Sunday! Did you watch the Belmonts Stakes yesterday? I was so excited….What an amazing story – horses are incredible animals; the training and discipline these horses a this level is unreal. What a run….John and I were rooting him on – he is a magnificent animal with a huge heart! This sure did make my weekend!

Well, I must admit….there is a huge difference in the cards this weekend BUT.…both are great – it all comes down to time! That word "TIME" gets the best of us many times. I did learn a lesson and I cannot wait to share it with you.

Here is yesterday's card….clean and classic to the max, a "Susan Card" and one that I make often for family and friends….so versatile and you can switch up the DSP to the persons personality – makes a super gift! Please click here to yesterdays post

IMG_8385

Now to the Stepped up version…fresh, fun and special. I added the NEW fabulous stamp set that I know is going to be a HUGE HIT…it is called Garden In Bloom. Just looked at these stamps, beautiful and the sentiments – WOWZERS….so special.

IMG_8409

139433G

With this stamp set, It can be used as a single stamp or as I used it today I double stamped it. In the below picture you will see what I am talking about. (I am sorry if I am so basic but I do think that there are many that are not sure what "double stamping" is…and I want you to know…it is fun and gives a great effect!!!)

IMG_8404

The basic way I did the card is the same…using a notecard and the fabulous Larger Than Life Alphabet Stamp Set….this stamp set has a HUGE impact and is simply timeless. Today I skipped the embossed lines on the side of the card….and just stamped away with some super sweet flowers!

IMG_8413

Yesterday I stamped the "S" right on the layer of whisper white…today I used a piece of scraps and stamped it and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Deco Labels Framelits. I also did it with the Blushing Bride and then adhere them to the back to POP it up!

IMG_8411

I do think that this is a fun look…with the flowers and the simple monogram! In the new catalog we have many great options that can be used in place of the flowers….I am thinking butterflies….bees…..dragon flies….more endless idea!

Now to the part that I wanted to share with you….yesterday, I used the FABULOUS English Garden Paper for the envelope (this is simply one fantastic – out of the ballpark pack of paper and I was thinking as I was going over what I wanted to share with you this weekend that the flowers that I did on the card would compliment perfectly….

IMG_8414

Guess what….I did not like it…..here is a picture of it and I hope that you can see my point. I wanted to share it with you and then share with you the solid Blushing Bride embossed with the FUN Polka Dot Folder! I hope that you can see how much easier it is on your eye with the simplicity of the below!

IMG_8416

You see….there are times that we change our mind, we tweak midway through…and the end result is….a great card that YOU made! I hope that this weekend fun brought a smile to your face!

On Tuesday I blogged about the great incentive for a hobby stamper. If I were you I would pick these stamp sets as your free ones….they are super sets and just think – These (2) stamp sets would be $71.00 and you can get them for FREE.

Kicking tires is fun…and it is a wonderful opportunity for you….email me….or better yet, get your shopping list out and go to town….you can click here to get going!

Can't wait for tomorrow…..I will share with you the results from the polls! WOOT-WOOT!

Step it up Sunday!

IMG_8327
Happy Sunday and this is a double whammy special day for me! WHY? First, I am super excited and honored to be the guest stamper for Mary Fish! If you are coming from Mary’s blog…WELCOME and I hope that you find today’s post inspiring and fun! I am continuing to learn and I am constantly inspired my Mary’s energy, talent and over the top leadership she provides to the PALS!

The 2nd reason I am super happy is that get to share with you today’s 2nd part of my 2 day post, Step It Up Sunday! If you missed yesterdays post, please click here and you will see the differences of the 2-day post that I do on weekends!

Let’s get into the trenches…and see this super cute card! Below I have collaged together the (2) different cards side by side and I have added some comments. Click on the picture to enlarge it to read!

PicMonkey Collage

You can see that there is not a huge difference but I feel strongly that you can do “little things” that “do make a difference”…some days we are short of time and are very focused on “getting it done” and then there are other times that we like to add a little more.

IMG_8318

Whatever your style is just roll with it and have fun! Remember, rules and expectations are out the door…we all have talent and a gift – just use yours and shine!

As touched on in the above photo today’s biggest difference is that I used the new In Color Envelope Paper as a focal mat. Stripes are always so much fun and they certainly set the tone. This paper is a dream to work with and I still am in shock it is so darn affordable!

   IMG_8328

The Whisper White piece is a 3 1/4" square and then today I used the Simply Scored in a vertical mode to mimic the stripes on the DSP . I just think that doing embossing lines like this adds so much with such little effort – I am all for that!

The Rich Razzleberry is a 3 1/2" square.

I know that some of you are not “fussy cutters” …., I fussy cut the vase as well as the flowers. The vase is a breeze…. true the flowers are a bit more time consuming but you do not have to be perfect as the stamped image underneath will hide any imperfections!

IMG_8326

Using just wee piece of stampin’ dimensional…I popped up the flower for some extra fun and depth.

The bow was easy and I thought today I would do a super quick addition of a rich razzelberry candy dot….I love these gems!

Lastly and one of my loves…the envelope! Today I used the Envelope Punch Board as well as the NEW In Color Envelope Paper…it worked out beautifully and you can easily see black in on the envelope but I would use a white gel pen to address it.

IMG_8322

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions! Do you have a favorite? Did yesterdays post do the trick or did todays! Please leave me a comment and let me know! I personally cannot think you could go wrong with either one.

As I said in yesterday post, I know that many of you are not “feeling the love” with the Delightful Dijon color…please give it a try – I think that it will surprise you. I think that it is a fabulous color – trust me, I’ll continue to blog about it and you will change your mind!

I emailed everyone yesterday acknowledging that I received his or her request for the New Product Share.  If you did NOT receive an email from me, please let me know.  If you still want to take part in the share….GREAT – you can click here and see the offerings.

Many thanks for popping in and a HUGE thanks to those who paid a visit from Mary's Blog…she is one special and amazing lady and I am very grateful for the opportunity to be her guest stamper this week!

Tuesday will be here…ZOOM – YIPPEE…please remember to email me if you want your own Hostess Code to take advantage getting a hostess earnings/stamp sets….the best thing is that the products will be shipped directly to your family and friends…and because you reached out to get the orders – you get the rewards!

Enjoy the day!

Step it up Sunday!

 IMG_8134

Having a great weekend? I sure am…..here is the stepped up version for this weekend and I can honestly say….I am not sure if it is stepped up or not!?!? It still was super easy, but it it just took a couple of extra steps!

I could not get the "collage" deal to work this week but I think that you will be able to see the main differences…I will bullet point them but I think that it is pretty straight forward!

Below is yesterday's card!

IMG_8138

  • This card I let the DSP be the fun focal part to the card…I adore this paper and again, this would be a "keeper" paper stack…"just in case" for a great masculine card –
  • I also did not use any dimensionals on this card…it is totally flat!

Here is today's "stepped up" version…. (see the below bullet points )

IMG_8136

  • I changed up the DSP pop….I switched it and let the Always Artichoke be the focal with also running it through the Big Shot with the Stylish Stripes Embossing folder!
  • "Behind" the shoes I added a 1/2" piece of Very Vanilla with a 1/4" piece of Always Artichoke to set the "shoes" off!

IMG_8142

  • I also changed the position of the sentiment….I think that it "set it off" better….but you can easily do it either way!
  • You can also see the Stampin' Dimensionals were "key" today – we sure do love our stampin' vitamins!

IMG_8143

  • I did not touch on this yesterday….but I kept the envelope the same….I chose to use both of the colors on the back flap…I thought it was simple yet masculine….I love doing this as it saves on the DSP that you use!

IMG_8145

We are having a FABULOUS weekend…doing everything and nothing all at the same time! We simply do not need to do anything but be together to have a fantastic time!

James made it home safely and brought "Leo", his rescue puppy! (sorry, no pictures of him as he will not stay still long enough to get a good picture) – he is having a BALL playing with our 5 dogs and he came with a TOTE BAG OF TOYS

Here is another picture of the "OLD MAN" and he had a BLAST yesterday playing away! I think it is sooooo funny that he loves his toys!

IMG_8131

Enjoy this day, and I hope that you are being able to celebrate the holiday weekend with family and friends …and if not – go do something FUN for yourself! We all need to rejuvenate from time to time and this weekend for me is a wonderful example of getting my battery re-charged!

I did something that I have not done at all this year! I was able to ride yesterday…..even if I just walked "Oscar" it was a start! He had surgery in February and this is the first week that we can "walk" him with someone on his back.

Hannah has been doing this all week and today was "my turn" as she is leaving this morning for her internship for the summer and she wanted to make sure that "Oscar and I" would be ok together….rehabbing a horse takes A LOT of time and a LOT of PATIENCE!

Until tomorrow….it is a personal challenge time!
