Good Friday morning to you! This is a different post….a mis-mash of things but I think that you will find it fun and hopefully bring a smile to your face! This is a fun weekend for many of us celebrating the Easter Holiday and a time that family and friends gather for many memories.
Before we get to the "mis-mash"…..I have some exciting news for you! Stampin' Up! is giving all of us a gift next week, FREE SHIPPING ON EVERYTHING!
So….this weekend, you focus on having fun (that's what Iam going to do) and next week (if I were you) – I would take advantage of having FREE SHIPPING ALL WEEK to make sure that you have all of the basics and staples to be a happy stamper for when the new catalog rolls out!
Two of the peeps are not able to come home so below you will see their baskets that are on the way to homes…I just adore this basket die and I am being totally honest that when it came out I was on the fence about it but I am soooo tooin' happy that I did hit that button to buy it!
I think that it could be made all year around for a variety of things…I did it with the birthday bash paper for a birthday and it was a huge hit!
When a make a "girls" basket, I like to put a pearl…after all - they are our best friends! Please click here to see the post that I focused on the scoop in making these super cute baskets!
I know that my blog should be about cards I make etc… but I also find that I love blogging as it let's you into my life and I love to share with you things that make me happy!
Do you want a super quick recipe that is fabulous? I purchased these super cute "Wilton" little baking cups at Michaels and there are 12 in a package. (I have made this recipe in a regular brownie pan) but these are soooo cute!
Spray containers with Pam Spray
Place (2) squares of refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie dough in the bottom
Top with a double stuff oreo
Pour brownie mix over top and bake at 350 for about 28 minutes.
These are so good, please feel free to email me if you need more help – make them – they are super quick and easy and you will be the hit!
I am leaving you with one of my favorite Easter Cards that I have made this year….this darn bunny brings an instant smile to your face each and every time I see him (it really makes me feel like dancing but that would be scary) Click here to see this post!
If you are traveling…please be safe – it is going to be super busy on the roads today. I will be thankful when Peep Hannah and Aidan get home. Tomorrow is a special day and a fun day = Hannah and I are going to be bring Oscar home (he is the sweetest horse and had to have surgery and is coming here to rehab)
Spring Cleaning and Tips are on store over the weekend so please pop back if you have the time for some inspiration and "me time" Until tomorrow….YUM – Now go and make these addictive brownies!
Let's have fun again seeing a stepped up version from yesterday's card but I must admit….I am saying YIKES – I hope that you like this as it is not the most glorious step up but if you had it in your hands….you would be smiling from ear to ear!
Before we get to the card today….I need to let you all know a secret…it's official –
I AM AN ADULT!
Are you saying WHAT?
Well…today is Hannah's 21st birthday...my red caboose is 21 so it is official…I am entering that phase of disbelief that everyone is "officially an adult" but I can say honestly, I am sooooo proud of all of my peeps! Age is one thing that never bothers me one bit…
Let's get to the card today and go over the slight differences but believe me, when you order the clear envelopes and send someone a card in them….you will quickly become the most talked about person as it is very special to get in the mail!
To me I am amazed at how they can be mailed, below in the photo you will see some tips but truly, this is so much fun. I have found that if I use stampin' dimensionals, it does go through fine with a single stamp but if you have embellishments like pearls, buttons etc…I would add extra postage.
Let's get to the picture of seeing them side by side. The biggest difference is that I changes the orientation of the card. I wanted you to see the beauty and fun with mailing a card in a clear envelope! (of course you could mail the card from yesterday as it is the same size)
Wouldn't you be smiling if you received this and saw that adorable cake looking at you when you opened your mailbox? Even though I do not have a fun liner for your envelope today, trust me – these clear envelopes will make you be the best card sender…EVER!
I also added the punched out circles…so easy and wowzers, so festive! I hope that these bring an instant smile to your face….see below my tips!
I know that when I received a card in a clear envelope I felt sooooo special…and we are all soooo special – so I say – order these gems! Trust me on this one, you will be the shining star!
I loved all of the comments yesterday and I will be that "turtle" and I am going to stick my neck out and attempt a video for you using the aqua painters for you this week. ( no judgments – I'll do it from my heart)
To me in many ways the aqua painters are very similar to me as heat embossing is….an instant WOW thatwill make you feel proud. It really is a great technique to do and I do hope that I can encourage you to try it!
I thank for you popping by today and I thank you for your on going support. This is the final days for Sale-a-bration so please make sure that you that you check your "basics" and things that you need to order and do it before the 31st so you can get a freebie!
You know what else today is? It would have been my Mom's 83 Birthday…how special is it that Hannah and my Mom share the same special day…we used to love to celebrate together…
The 3 of us have the same middle name…"Louise" – my Dad always said we are is (3) Louise's….and we loved just the 3 of us to do something special together. I know that in spirit my wonderful Mom is so proud of Hannah so Happy Birthday to 2 very special ladies!
You know what tomorrow is… I have a fun personal challenge for you!
Wowzers, it's the weekend already and that means today is a Simple Saturday Card for you and please pop back tomorrow for Step it up Sunday where you can see the same (basically) card and then tomorrow I will "tweak" it a bit!
I do not think that there has ever been a hostess stamp that I have used more than this set and I adore the name, Time to Celebrate. (This will be one that once it retires, I will still keep it as the stamps and sentiments are so much fun.) If I were you, I would email me and let's make a plan for you to earn this! – It's a keeper!
Probably the #1 reason I love this stamp set is because so easy and fun to color without having to do a lot of thinking! Let's get to some fun pictures and scoop for today's card!
Today's card is in Pink Pirouette in a vertical fold and the 2 rectangles are the same size, 3 1/2" X 3" in Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush. Just a quick off set does wonders in a jif but the real pop is the white dashes with the gel pen and the POP with the stampin' dimensionals.
Using the Aqua Painters is both fun and easy….just practice and practice and you will learn that the are fun. So many of you are intimidated by them – they really are a great tool and wow, so affordable for all that they can do, just squeeze your ink pad and go to town. NO RULES….just do it and have fun!
Last but you know me…I would never not have a fun and special envelope…this was a breeze as I pulled out the All Abloom Paper Stack and PRESTO – magic happened with the Envelope Liner Framelit!
Well…thoughts……now can't you see how easy this card comes together in a jif! You could easily change up colors and POOF – a new and different card – this is one of those "keepers"
Please feel free to email me or leave a comments….LET'S TALK ABOUT COMMENTS…you all made me smile so much with yesterdays comments – loved them! I am going to do another "Spring Cleaning Tips" for you next Friday!
You all know the scoop… the products I used today are scrolling below….feel free to shop away or also if I were you….HIT THAT CLEARANCE CORNER – there are some real keepers!
Good Morning! I hope that you enjoyed the PALS blog hop yesterday….wowzers, there sure is a lot of fabulous talent and inspiration out there. I will say that seeing everyones post sure did make be feel like Spring IS REALLY going to be around the corner!
Here is one of the baskets I shared with you yesterday. Please click here if you want to go back and see that post. I just love beings able to use both the DSP and Solid Card Stock!
Here are some tips and tricks to make this be a successful and fun project! Please feel free to email me if you have specific questions that I am not going over. It is my goal to help you see how much fun they are!
The Vanilla Coaster Board is KEY. You know that I have blogged about this before as I think that it is the best to for cutting out the thinlit words….click here to see that post.
You get (8) sheets that are 6" x 12" and you can cut it down to 4 1/2" X 8 1/4" to make the baskets. You will have plenty of extras to cut out sentiments.
You will have to cut (2) bases for each basket and then the same for how you wish to decorate it. I like to use the scalloped edge for the "girls" and the straight edge for the "guys"
You can see below that I used sticky strip. You can use whatever you like but I always recommend sticky strip for 3D projects. It really is super strong and convenient!
Let's touch on the "brads" and the "pearls"…you will see below that I took a pencil line to mark the half way point for both the box and the rim.
I then met them together and you can pierce a hole or if you have a super strong hole punch…that does the trick as well! I just love this finishing touch!
I hope that you are smiling. I just love them and I am looking forward to filling them with all sorts of goodies. The ideas are endless, you can easily put candy…a gift…a gift card…a small flower and then cover the top with fru-fru grass.
Wouldn't they be adorable to use as a centerpiece this way with a bunch of differnet baskets and coordination colors! Just love them!
You will see all of the various products that I used to make these goodies. You can click on the photo and you will be directed to the product and view it.
If you order the Berry Basket Die from me, I will be glad to send you (2) pieces of Vanilla Coaster Board as well as a print and coordinating card stock to make a basket.
I realize that this die is an investment, but trust me – you will get so much joy from making these for your family and friends. It is one tough, sturdy basket! You will be close to the mark to pick a Sale-A-Bration item, so please order wisely to maximize your earnings!
I do hope that these types of posts help you….pop back tomorrow, you are in for a treat!
Welcome to the March Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating spring. This month we are featuring spring related projects for Mother’s Day, Easter or any other occasion that celebrates winter coming to an end.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Brian King at Stamp with Brian on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
I am hippity hoppity happy that I have a "jump" on Easter!
Confession time…when the Occasions catalog came out and I saw this Berry Basket…I flipped the page and kept on going! (Does this sound familiar to anyone)…then I said to myself – hmmmm…..I think I can do something fun with this!
Stampin' Up! has been doing a fantastic job with the product videos…these have really been a great help for us to learn about the product.
Today's post I am not giving you the details that I usually do but please pop back tomorrow and I am going to give you the "Susan in's and out's with tips and tricks" in how to create super fun baskets!
You could say that I am "TICKLED PINK" and I really think that when I break it down to steps…you will learn tricks to make these come together in no time!
The one thing that I love (well, there are many…..) is that you can use your paper stacks and it just uses 1 piece of paper. Also, I did emboss the solid color of paper with the large Polka Dot folder….so darn tootin fun!
Now did you see the "type A" in me come out? Yep….I am not a "staple gal" – I chose to pierce a hole and put a candy brad base and either candy dots (for the guys) and a pearl for the gals)
Even though my peeps are older you bet that they are getting a basket from Mom and Dad….you are never too old – heck I would love this if someone made one for me!
I prefer not having the handle on it, but that is just a personal preference! You will not believe how sturdy these guys are! Tomorrow you will learn the simple scoop but I will say that I do use the Vanilla Coaster Board (I am in love with this product).
I hope that you have enjoy this project and I hope that you will pop back tomorrow as I will give you all of the scoop that I know you enjoy!
I just think that these are just adorable and I do think that it is a product that can be used all year long with a variety of themes.
Stampin' Up! always comes out with super fun Bigz Dies to make us shine! Enjoy the hop as there is lots of hopping to do – please feel free to leave me a comment and I hope to see you tomorrow!
