Happy Hump Day!
I am thrilled that many of you enjoyed the card from Monday and today I have for you the “icing on the cake” to tie the whole thing together! Please click here to see that post from Monday and then this will make sense to you. I am carrying the color scheme and theme over to this post. You know me…I love extra special touches as I truly think that the little extras are what people remember.
My Mom was the queen of extra special simple touches…so I guess I have learned from the best! I have blogged many, many times about party poppers and YEP…you are going to get it again as they are ALWAYS A CLASSIC…and ALWAYS A HIT!!! I will also share with you what I put inside as there are ALWAYS clever things that you can put inside depending on what the event is!
Today is another opportunity for you to win some BLOG CANDY….
This is the 2nd of 4 posts that I am going to see if you can figure out what items that I have used today (they will all be listed at the end of the post like I normally do) that I would pick to be in my ULTIMATE PERSONAL BUNDLE . Remember I can pick up to $125 worth of product and I will only be paying $99…
In the list at the end of the post…what tools/aids would I pick that equal $124.25 that I could choose for my ULTIMATE PERSONAL BUNDLE ? I just love that you have the opportunity to put ANYTHING you want up to $125 and only pay $99!
Playing games like this is FUN!….put your thinking caps on and leave your picks in the comments at the end of the post and what will you win? How about something that WE ALL can always use….a roll of Tear & Tape! I will give away up to 3 rolls so if there are many that guess my picks….I will pick 3! (This will be interesting to see if you all read this entire post)
Let’s get going on these fun poppers! I have blogged here and here before on them…but here is a super short and handy cheat sheet to make these for years and years! The magic of these are the Envelope Punch Board…yep, the $20.00 piece of magic plastic that makes sooooooo much more than envelopes! Truly a MUST HAVE in your crafting stash!

Here you go….your cheat sheet. What I would do is write these down or better yet – make one today using a solid piece of paper that you can actually write the measurement on. I caution you, these are like Potato Chips…..very addictive! You can see that 6″ X 6″ paper packs makes this project a cinch as you will also be able to use the “extra piece” to wrap around Hershey Nuggets!

- 6″ X 4 1/2″ piece of DSP or Solid Card Stock
- Score at 1″, 2″, 3″, 4″ & 4 1/2″ – use the bone folder and score well!
- Starting on the 1/2″ fold place at 1″ mark on the Envelope Punch Board and PRESS TO CUT… FLIP and place at the 1″ mark again…..PRESS TO CUT… FLIP (do this for all of the scored lines, folding down the paper on each fold) The key part is the PUNCH and the FLIP!
- Use a strip of Tear & Tape on the center part and simple glue dots on the little end pieces.
- Tie off one end with ribbon of your choice…fill and SMILE!
I cannot tell you how easy these are to make…just remember the important part is the 1″ mark and then flipping the paper to do the same on the other side. I did do a video a long time ago click here to see that but really, they are fun and oh so festive!

What did I fill these with???? A super simple party horn from the dollar store (I actually cut it down for it to fit) and then these super fun cards that have great conversation topics to truly make it fun but before seeing all of these…..you will hear and actual SNAP because I put a Cracker Snap in the popper. I think when I bought these….I went ahead and bought 50 as these truly are fun and so easy to make even just 1 to make someone feel special!

The Chat Pack Questions I bought at a store I frequent but unfortunately they do not have a link for them……you can see that I linked them to go Old Faithful, Amazon but when I did google them….I saw that Walmart came up about $1.00 less and trust me…not to have to make the trek to Walmart, I would gladly pay and additional dollar!
The Blow Horns, I was able to get (8) of them for $1.00and I just took off the sports theme thingie and used the horn, the CHAT CARD and chocolates – a perfect and festive way to make a table setting special! These cards are really fun to have on hand and/or tuck them in like I did today!
Well tomorrow is Ramsey’s Dad’s 90th Birthday so I am hoping that my festive bundle of love will brighten his day! I loved it that his wishes were to just have his family with him for several special days of family time…..it doesn’t get any better than that….speaking of better than that…
How would you like to also win an Envelope Punch Board?
Now this will be really, really fun to see if anyone can guess my 2 answers…..in the picture where I showed the CHAT CARDS…you can see 2 sample questions. What would MY ANSWERS BE? I know that the 2nd one – the saying/quote will be super hard to nail so I will let you slide a bit but there is ONE KEY WORD that is in my saying/quote……that you need to have correct….(if multiples win….I will pick one randomly – just in case you can not read the cards….below is what they say)
- If you could be anywhere in the world for New Year’s Ever this year, where would you most want to be?
- What is your favorite saying or quotation?
I hope that you found this post fun and interactive. You know….I became a SUD to get a discount and trust me I do love that….but you know what I also love?….the relationships. I wish that you could hear my dings on the phone when the “puppies” start chatting away…..many of my stampin’ friends and demos are in group texts with me….and one thing that is always sure to happen is a smile….they make me laugh…they make me smile…always!

I am sure that some of you are wondering how in the heck did I cut my Party Horns so perfectly…well, I didn’t…..I have a Scan & Cut and I do use it for things like this…as it made this project come together in a fraction of the time if I had fussy cut them. Even as an adult, I still adore Santa! I have not mastered it yet, but I am workin’ on it!
I am tellin’ you all…there is so much to this paper craftin’ addiction that we share….I am blest with this people that I have been able to meet on this journey. I am sure that many of you notice that I only blog 3 x’s a week now….I started that when I broke my wrist and I decided to continue it this way…..for me, my blog is so much more that Stampin’ Up! – it is a way to share/shed some light as to what makes me roll….
I adore Stampin’ Up! for many reasons… the sheer coordination of products and colors but what I have really learned about this little thing that I do is….I love the relationships even more! We can all “buy things” but we cannot “buy relationships”

I use products from MANY COMPANIES (just ask Jeanie) and guess what, that’s ok…..heck, we all do not shop for our clothes all at the same store…..I like to share my love, passions and creative outlets that make me happy!
Let’s see if you are still reading….as the bone folder is not in my pick for my personal ultimate bundle for this challenge today, I like another bone folder and I will share it with you on Friday when I post and announce the winner (s)! Good Luck and have fun!
There you go for your HUMP DAY! There are so many ways that we can do “extra touches” each and everyday that will make you smile, feel good about yourself and make you stop and say….I am glad that I did that! I challenge you to do something “extra today” ….it’s a great habit to get into and one that will make you smile inside! I will see you on Friday!

Well…..did anyone forget to turn their clocks forward?
I have a long post for you to read today and I hope that you can find some “me time” to read and take it all in! Personally, I look forward to this time of the year as to me…it makes me feel like old man Winter will be leaving us and time for that glorious Spring to arrive….chirping birds, blossoming trees, green grass….longer days…just a time that makes us feel alive!
I have a cutie for you today and if you pop back on Wednesday you will see a complimentary goodie that I added to this care package for my dear friend and downlines Dad! Ramsey’s Dad is turning 90th this week and naturally that in itself it a milestone and a time for celebration! When Ramsey speaks of her Dad….she instantly “lights up…has that beautiful smile…and you can instantly see sheer joy” when she talks of her sweet and oh so active Dad!
Several weekends ago when I went to an “Adult Therapy Weekend” at Ramsey’s house in beautiful Annapolis Maryland…(that’s what I call a fun girls only (and Milo) crafting time) we naturally chatted the weekend away with “life happenings” between us and her Dad came up! She was working on many different cards to shower her Dad with and I thought….I want to do something for him as well!
Heck, when you turn 90….it calls for a special card and I think that I have a fun one for you today! I am working with the stamp set, Picture Perfect Birthday from the Occasions Catalog. I think the first thing that you are going to know about this that I love is……it is a photopolymer stamp!

Yep, when I see that it is a Photopolymer….it instantly has some “brownie points” in my eyes and if I like the other elements that I look for – it goes right to the top! Do you remember some of the elements I have been sharing with you in how I look at stamps to see if I really want to invest in them?
Seriously readers…..I have become more and more selective with my stamp purchases as I am the first to admit…it can get WAY OUT OF CONTROL! Look below and see some of the things that I ask when I decide….
- Photopolymer – YEP….I adore the ease of stamping….seeing through for perfect placement….they are easier to see and work with with a Stamp Positioning Tool!
- Great Font and Sentiments – YEP again, these are fun, flirty and smile makers…..very unique and I adore the fact that they use 2 different fonts within one sentiment!
- Will I get mileage ? – DAH….this is one thing we ALL have…..a Birthday! The mileage you will get from these simple candle, sweet bows and festive party horns will last you through many, many Birthdays….and switching up colors….TIMELESS!
There is simply no way that I could ever use all of the stamps that I have and ready for this…..???!!!???!!! I think that there are many…and I mean MANY times that we just keep purchasing stamps and overlook tools and techniques to continue to teach ourselves new ways to craft!
This post today is to show you that you can achieve a great end result by using a “tool” whether it be a Stamparatus…..A Stamp-a-ma-jig….or the squares from grid paper! The reality of it is…we can do things many ways with what we have. I say this because I totally understand and respect that we all just can’t get all of the “newest and latest” out there.
I think what happens is….we turn and look at all of the STAMPS that we have collected and all of a sudden get that feeling over being overwhelmed….perhaps defeated….and guilty! Am I on this Island by myself??? Please leave a comment if this is making sense to you…..That is the very reason that I am becoming more selective in my purchases – this stamp IS a classic and I know that I will enjoy it for many, many Birthdays!

I know that you have popped on my blog to see a card and to be inspired…..but to me, my Blog is even more to me than that – it is a platform for me to be totally honest and to let you know and see how and why we do the thing that we do! It is simple…we love to work with our hands and we only have so much time to do so….I truly try to give you ideas and inspiration in many ways!
Ok – ONTO this sweet card…(sorry…..I just cannot help myself sometimes as I am just trying to teach and let you know that “I get it”) – I am with you that it can be kinda crazy…. the items we collection with this crafting addiction we have – but you have to admit…it is FUN! This WAS the one and ONLY reason I signed up to be a Demonstrator….to get a discount for my habit!
Hopefully you all have heard to AMAZING BUZZ that Stampin’ Up! has developed and I do know some of you already have it from the pre-order….the STAMPARATUS! The WHAT???? I know – it is a crazy word but it is a fun word.

This is a stamp positioning tool to make this thing that we do….not only that much easier, but with precision of stamping, great coverage and saves time! Now if that didn’t sell you…..email me! This will be in the New Catalog that will be unveiled at the beginning of June.
I have had it for several months now and I do love it. As I have blogged before, I do have a MISTI as well as the Tim Holtz Stamp Positioning Tool and honestly, our STAMPARATUS is going to be a game changer for the industry as having that (2) plate system allows you to do so much more in one fell swoop!
Can you see….again, I am being totally honest with all of the things that I have to make this fun thing that we do “real” to you and even though I admit I was super skeptical about the STAMPARATUS….I was wrong – it truly is a game changer, they did a fabulous job.
If you DO NOT have a Stamp Postioning tool…NO WORRIES – you can still make this card with the simple grids from the Grid Paper as the spacing between each candle is 1/2″ (I moved over 2 little squares). Now if you do not have the Grid Paper …..you need to hit the button below and get it – truly a MUST HAVE for this addiction we have and it will be the best $11.00 you will spend.

I knew that I wanted to have 9 candles across (for the 90th plus I like odd numbers with a stamped image) so I just took a piece of white paper and stamped a candle in the middle of my paper….and then kept moving 2 to the right…..and then 2 the left of the center candle!
After I stamped the basic candle image in Lemon Lime Twist I was able to use the 2nd plate of the Stamparatus to either do the polka dots or the stripes on the candles! I used Bermuda Bay and Pool Party. Lastly, I flipped on of the plates and stamped the flame in Crushed Curry.

After I did all of the Stampin’ fun…..I eye-balled the sentiment (whew…that was brave) and finished the focal part of the front. I trimmed that down to 3″ X 4 1/2″ and then matted it a smidge larger in Rich Razzleberry! The 2 other rectangle behind at the exact same size but I ran them through Mr. Big with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder. Texture always brings a classic interest!
I admit I forget about Embossing Folders and heck – they are right beside Mr. Big…..but when I remember, I am super happy as that extra dimension and effect it gives is perfect.
Here is a peek of the inside of the card…..I forget about doing this for you….but I thought that it was the perfect accent for this card and trust me….when you pop back on Wednesday you will see how I took it a step further for my sweet friends special celebration for her Dad and family! Can you guess?????

One last peek before I go today. I was just super happy with the fun & festive colors and I guess….the total feel of the card! I do hope that you can see that there are many, many ways that we can accomplish a great end result with using totally different products,
The BEST TIP I can give you is….PRACTICE – this is something that we all know that we need to do to “get it” but I do hope that you allow it to sink in. We are all at different levels and that is what is great….any of us can accomplish anything with practice and a positive mindset.

Sorry for this super LONG post but I do hope that it finds you well this Monday! Even though I am super happy that the time has changed…..that silly hour can make a difference……I keep thinking – it’s only an hour!!!!
Below you will see the products listed for this project and I hope to see you on Hump Day so I an unveil the remainder of FUN for Ramsey’s Birthday Celebration for her Dad!

by Susan Itell | Mar 10, 2018 | Thinking of you, Watercoloring |

Happy Weekend to you! Today I have for you a super sweet card that went through stages of OOPS while I was making it (and I will share with you the oops) but in the end turned out to be one sweet card!
When I am typing up my posts and if John is home….he often will ask to see the card that I made. When I showed him this card he smiled and said, “Your Mom would have loved this card” and YEP, he is right as it would have been right up her alley!
I haven’t watercolored lately so today I wanted to share some fun from the Friendships Sweetest Thoughts Stamp Set.When I saw this stamp set in the Occasions Catalog I knew this was coming to Randall Lane for 3 main reasons…

- I adore the way the artist sketched the stamp images, lines like this make it a cinch to color in all mediums….being watercoloring like I am doing today, using Alcohol Marker/Blends, Colored Pencils or even just our Stampin’ Write Markers….
- The price – $19.00 is a very good and fair price to invest in
- The Sentiments/font – I am strange….I like either super clean & simple fonts….or ones that “just catch my eye” and this one does that. You could easily use these sentiments with other floral stamps you have and also with a heart.
For the above reasons, this one was “coming home”! I encourage you to “think about” guidelines that are important to you before you just take a leap and buy. Let’s face it as we all do it – we buy things and simply do not use them.
Here is another little tip-bit for you to think about. Stampin’ Up! will be offering a new catalog in June. I know that seems like a way away…but reality is – it will be here before you know it! Actually in just 28 days (who’s counting…I am excited)
I will have the new catalog in my hands. With that said, this is the time of the year that I challenge myself to use up current DSP as we all know it – when new paper comes out….we will just “have to have it”….that’s why Product Shares are the best!
I chose my color palette today after I picked the DSP I was going to use. I know that it is hard to see but the Berry Burst color is actually a piece from the Naturally Eclectic DSP Pack and I covered the whole front panel of the White A-2 card. I like to do that when I am using watercolor paper as that paper is not as bright of a white.

The DSP paper is one of those that have a gradient look and feel to it and honestly – I have a hard time using them and I am a clean and crisp gal but this is a PERFECT way to use it as the subtleness of the coloring of the DSP lends a perfect backdrop to my focal image! This is the time of the year that I really try to use up current paper as when the new ones come out….they all get cut to 6″ X 6″ squares until I use them up!

When you watercolor make sure that you are using an ink that will not bleed when you color with the aqua painter. I used the Archival Black Ink to stamp the focal image! I was so excited to color (as it has been a while since I have used the aqua painter) that I did not stamp my sentiment…..that is where the BIG OOPS! happened!
I colored away and had fun and then when I stamped the sentiment…..YIKES – it did not stamp well and there was also a blob of black as I rocked the stamp! You see….It happens to me too! PLAN B – stamp the sentiment on a scrap of watercolor paper and then pop it up as I did!
Things like this used to get me super upset and frustrated but the reality of it is…IT IS JUST PAPER and I like to think that mistakes are a learning factor of life that happen to all of us to bring awareness. It was super easy to cover up my mistake and no one would ever know!

It is so easy to just pull your ink pads out, give them a good squeeze to get the ink on the lids and then go to town with the Aqua Painter. I always like to make sure that I have a folded up piece of a paper towel right by me as I work so I can quickly dab the excess off of the end of the Aqua Painter. Works like a charm every time!
You can see in my coloring that I just kept it super simple…that always seems to make me the happiest when I am creating but I do invite you to look at colors that you have…and sometimes layer them. WHAT DO I MEAN? Well..the area where the green is – I used Pear Pizazz and the Old Olive over top.
For the flowers – I first used Powder Pink and then added some Berry Burst to the inside of the flowers. For the “ground area” – I used Sahara Sand 1st…then went over it with some wisps of Crumb Cake and then the finale was to take my black pen and make some squiggles.
Always try to think of the simple little touches (like my trio of dots) to add your own special touch to your projects. Speaking of extra touches – can you see the centers of the flowers on both the card and the envelope? I add some white Nuvo Drops. I adore the wee little bit of the raised effect it gives.
You can see in that the Nuvo Drops come in a ca-zillion colors and there is no need to go crazy…I say that I use the clear, white and black the most but please make sure that you let them dry completely. I usually add them and then go back the next morning.

Envelope time….because the DSP that I used on the card was so “plain jane” I wanted to do something a bit different. A quick stamp 3 x’s did the trick but the accent of the White Nuvo Drops was the icing on the cake!
I think in the below picture you will see the height/dimension the drops give. Once they are dry (remember, super important) they will not flatten down or be sharp. I know that many of you are thinking if they will fall off in the mail….I have not had any to do that!
WHEW…there you go…..let’s move on!

On Thursday’s post….I threw out a fun puzzle/challenge for some Blog Candy as to how would I pick from the items that I had listed at the end of the blog post….that would end up at $124.50 for the Ultimate Bundle if I were picking for a starter kit.
Well….I am proud to say that dear Georgette won!!!!
There was one little hiccup in her math/choice…..as it is the Thick White Paper…not the Regular White. I think that she had meant to type the thick paper as the regular weight paper would have put her over the $125 target mark!
I had the AMAZING pleasure to meet Georgette last summer when she was in Maryland. She is from Ohio and reached out to me if we could meet. Let me tell you…..we never came up for air and we trurly had the time of our lives….and she is ONE TALENTED person!
WHY would I choose the Thick??? Easy, no-brainer….the thick creates a wonderful sturdy card…..(I actually sometimes think – how in the world did we use the regular weight before) Please do not get me wrong…the regular weight is a must have as well for the insides of cards and die-cutting & coloring…but if I had a choice of one…it would be the thick! Also – I would have picked the neutrals as one of my 4 cardstock packs and that would have had 2 sheets of the regular weight in it!
I know that this post is super long but quickly….I made my choices to get (4) packs of the potentially 5 options as with paper….you can ALWAYS have a great foundation. The other items….no brainer – the basics to card making!
The reason that I did not pick the stamp set is…..YOU CAN PICK 2 FREE ONES when you get the ultimate bundle! I had someone last night to be a smart and savvy stamper…..getting the ultimate bundle and I cannot wait to hear what (2) FREEBIE STAMPS she picked!
It really is that is…no strings attached….PERIOD….plus YOU will be able to see the new catalog when I do….in 28 days plus you can PRE-ORDER the new goodies from the new catalog starting in May…all at a 20% discount…..truly a win-win!
I will do another fun “Ultimate Bundle” game next week with more blog candy…it is super fun to think of the things we can throw in the to get to $125!
Enjoy the day….I hope that I inspired you to color and WOOT-WOOT to Georgette…..thanks for spending some time with me!

Good Morning….oops….Good Afternoon!
(It happened again as I am with my Dad but he is doing great!)
I have a fun and colorful card of inspiration for you today….PLUS a chance to win BLOG CANDY!! You can tell by the colors that I am using that I am sooooo ready for Spring! I invite you to look at colors and just have FUN with combining them together.
One thing that I hope you can see right off the bat is that this card is all about the basics again! You know me…..that works for me and I never get tired of pointing that out to you, To be honest….I hadn’t put away the square framelits away from Tuesday as well as the Tutti-Fruit paper and I thought – challenge yourself to make something that is right in front of you!
When I say the basics….look at this….
- Whisper White Card Stock – yep….gotta have it in both Thick and Regular Weight.
- Trimmer – yep – need this too!…gotta have this for ease of making perfect cuts in all sizes and you can score as well!
- Big Shot – yep – of course!…true an investment….but one that you will buy once but use over and over! (I call mine “Mr. Big”)
- Square Framelits – yep-a basic!..another one time investment that you will use for your crafting lifetime!

- Sentiment Dies – yep again plus this is free, this is one thing that I am a HUGE LOVER of…..I just adore sentiment dies and my fingers are crossed that we keep coming out with more and more of them! The great thing about this one….you will get it FREE as it is a choice in the SAB Freebies!

- Sentiment Stamp Set – yep – I do love my sentiments!, when you are choosing stamps, go for the sentiments as you can always tuck a sentiment in here and there that are classic and timeless….just look at how many useful one are in this stamp set, Sunshine Wishes!

I am just a huge believer if you have the basics you can go from there and add as needed. I know that we all get super excited with buying more and more stamps….but I truly think that as you build your crafting collection you need to have the basic tools/supplies….and all of the ones that I listed above are ones that I would recommend as a must have!
Let’s have a little fun and how about some BLOG CANDY
What is the combination of basics that I have listed below that would get you to $124.50 (the maximum amount of product that you could get is $125) that you could choose as your “ultimate bundle” and just get it all for $99.00 (and it would ship for FREE)
On top of the savings…you would be able to pick any 2 stamp sets of your choice…YEP – ANY 2…and I always think it is super fun to hear what people pick….some go for the most $$$$$….some go for the newer ones….it’s completely your choice!
The 2 FREE STAMP OFFER is just good until March 31st……so each week until then….you will have 4 opportunities to guess what items from the list below (at the end of the post) would I pick that would add up to $124.50 for my starter kit is I was a newbie!
Each week until then I will be offering a different Blog Candy FREEBIE….this week it is the Tutti-Fruiti Notecard & Envelopes….and if we have multiple winners…I will honor it to the first 3 that guess it correctly! Have fun and see if we think the same! I will list the winner (s) on Saturdays post.
I think that you can see from this card that there are simple shapes (squares) and a sentiment. I stacked up several of the sentiment word and I do think that this adds a fun impact. Also adding dimensionals add depth and interest to this simple card.

I used some color inspiration from the Tutti-Fruiti 6X6 DSP….and I actually covered the entire front panel of an A-2 card and then I used the extra scrap to give the envelope some love.
There are 2 other additions that I used that are not Stampin’ Up! Products but ones that I consider great ones to have on hand….(actually I always have 2 white pens as I would be lost without it) and these fun and sassy blings….from Honey Bee.

I hope that this super clean card will inspire you to think about using minimal products…..lots of FUN color…..to create a card that would make anyone feel super special! This is truly a less is best example and one that would be easy to make up in the masses.
I hope that you have fun playing the “puzzle/challenge” to see in the below product line up….what I would pick to add up to $124.50! I will give you a hint…..the Big Shot is not one of the items item… ha-ha, well at least not this time 🙂 ……
If you wish, leave your guess in the comments and up to 3 will win the Tutti Fruiti Notecards & Envelopes! Have a great afternoon and remember, there is absolutely nothing wrong with be being simple in your style – I think that this is one sharp and fun card!

Morning!!! 🙂 …I think I should say, Good Afternoon!
Yep, it is Tuesday and yesterday did not happen but I know the delay will surely make you smile and also show you that minimal products can make a HUGE IMPACT.…as this IS my kinda card that I adore to create!
I actually created this card to be one of the offering of my monthly card kits but unfortunately with the “life” happenings…I need to hit the “pause button” on my kits ……so this is a great taste of the offerings that I do!
In November when I was at Salt Lake City for the On Stage Stampin’ Up! event…..I saw a card on display and I knew that I needed to snap a picture of it and CASE it. How stinkin’ cute and clean is this beauty? I invite you to think about this….it is all about the basics! (trimmer, big shot, nesting dies, white paper….punches)
For my Monthly Kits….I was going to offer ideas showcasing the Fruit Basket Bundle. Yep…it’s a keeper as it is a Photopolymer Stamp Set….plus the “bundled portion” is 4 punches and we know what that means….easy peasy as using a punch is super easy 🙂 …

One of the things that I adore about this card is the amount of “white space” that it has…as my Mom always said….you just can’t go wrong with white….always clean and classic …..and ALWAYS in style!
I made the squares with the Layering Squares Collection of Framelits….(a must have basic) for your stash. True….it is tricky with lining up the squares but that is what a handy ruler is for plus your own eyes! Having basic shapes like this make perfect layering a cinch….I adore the white on white effect of the squares….but you could also easily do a color for one of the squares!
A card design like this is always on trend and one that you can use OVER and OVER again…(a formula)! The best way to master this is to get the center row where you want it….and then you can eye-ball the rest! Just look at the simplicity of this – a blue ribbon winner…

The punches with this bundle make this a fast one to whip together and then the stamping is also a breeze as you can see through the stamps because of it being a Photopolymer Stamp. The beauty of this particular stamp/punch set it that it is very forgiving…..WHAT??????
Seriously, after you stamp the image the punch is smaller than the stamped image so it is a breeze to line up and punch – no worrying about getting is “just right” – it is just wonderful when things like this happen!
For me, this would be a card that you could make up in the masses (again, I was going to use this design for a kit) as I know….I know – there is a bunch of cutting of the squares….but think of it this way – it is a GREAT WAY to use up scraps and it is also something that you could work on to cut a bunch of….put them in baggies …..and then pull them out as needed!
I always have a “key” to work from…after you figure out the spacing….make sure you write it down (the measurements) or better yet, make a template and BAM – you are good to go!

I also encourage you to use a Stamp Postioner. I used the Stamparatus and it is a dream tool. I know that if you were not the smart/lucky stamper to have preordered it…you will have to wait until the new catalog comes out in June. (I’m sorry…as I warned you…..) It is SOOOOOOO worth the wait and we know…..June will be here before we know it!
It is a wonderful tool and one that Stampin’ Up! should be super proud of. As I have blogged many times before, I have many other stamp positioners but this one….BLUE RIBBON – why? …I adore the (2) plate system. I could go ahead and have it all ready to stamp the sentiment on the front….and have the other plate ready to rumble to stamp an inside sentiment! (Actually with the (2) plate system, you could line up up to (4) different stamps as you can easily remove a plate and flip it around)

How about the POP of color with the envelope? It is from the Tutti-Fruiti DSP 6 X 6 pack and I am sure many of you are thinking…..why didn’t you use the strawberry print paper?
Here me out….(I do have an answer for you)…
- I think with the classic feel of this card, that the strawberry print was a bit whimsical for the POP. I adore the boldness of the paper that I chose….does this make sense? I would love to get feedback – please feel free to leave a comment!
- The other reason was….I adore the flip side of the strawberry paper…the classic Night of Navy polka dots is in my alley of a fun, clean & simple print!
This is a sweet paper pack and I know when you see all of the bright colors and different shapes….it looks super busy but when you see them in person and allow yourself to think of how you could best use it for your style…you will see it is a great addition to our paper collection.

In closing, you can easily see that a fun and classic card CAN be created with a minimal amount of product. I invite you to cut up your scraps and get them organized on baggies so you are more likely to use shapes …
I also bet that many of you have punches in shapes in a variety of sizes…..see what you have and how you can use them. You just simply cannot go wrong with nesting collections of basic shapes (circles, squares, hearts etc….) They WILL BE a go-to for years and years!

There you go….a clean and simple card that is SUPER duplicatable so I say….go to it! This stamp set will be one that you will use over and over as it is a basic…and the sentiments…. – super fun and the font is a keeper as well. Remember, these are key questions that I ask myself when I decide if I am going to invest in a stamp and the other thing….I only pick stamps/bundles for my kits that I believe in…..
Now to my weekend….do you remember I talked about the WIND on the East Coast? Well…..let me tell you – we were smart ladies and did not leave home until 11 a.m. as the wind did get better. We did what we should have done….checked the advisories…..checked the main highways for accidents etc…..plus we had 8 husbands looking after us to make sure that it was safe to leave…..
We left at 11 – made a stop for a fun lunch and guess what…..we were about 1hr. 15 minutes from the Philadelphia area and BAM…..we hit SNOW…yep…SNOW that came from no where and the PA Turnpike was one hot mess….we used out navigation systems for different routes….only to have roads with fallen trees on them….closed roads because of accidents….just one thing after another.

We ended up getting to the hotel at 7:30 Friday night…..missed our Museum ticket/tour….but all thankful to be safe! We stayed in the hotel and talked into the wee hours of Saturday morning like we were on a slumber party….all 8 of us! The next day…..POOF – still windy but the temperatures rose and everything melted!
We went to the Garden Show on Saturday night and it was FABULOUS – it was the opening night and the theme was the 70’s – music was GREAT and the Village People preformed (yep…now that is dating ourselves) and there were (2) of the originals from 4 decades! They were a hoot and the last song…..yep, YMCA – I wish that you would have seen all of the amazing costumes!
For my Dad….we went to the Doctors yesterday and on Thursday they will be doing a procedure to get him ready for hopefully the bigger surgery. I hope to see you back here tomorrow…..if not – it will be Thursday as I will be sitting waiting for many hours!
I hope that this post inspired you and I do love this bundle…so fresh and fun…..have a GREAT DAY and many thanks for popping into my little blog of “me”! Below the paw print, you will see the supplies I used!
