Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for June. This month we are excited to show off new Stampin' Up! products from the just released 2015 – 2016 annual catalog. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie, number 17 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
There is so much to love with this new catalog so I tried to put as much in the card that I could….(my FUN order isn't to be here until Friday so I am still working with a limited amount)

I am a true blue clean and simple gal – I love a very straight forward project and I am head over heels with the Background Designer Series Stacks – LOVE THEM…the prints are so fun and fresh!
Today I used selections from the Brights collection and the 1" square punch. So easy to turn the daffodil paper to an angle to get the effect of horizontal and vertical stripes with the square punch!

I think working and playing with paper is key in keeping cards/projects affordable plus it gives you sooooo many different ways to show your creativity!
It simple does not get any easier than this – POP of paper….adhere and done!

The hostess stamp sets are great! This one, Happy Birthday, Everyone has not only a great Image as shown here…but it also comes with a super variety of sentiments to "tag along" It really is not as hard as you think to earn rewards for a hostess set!

If you follow my blog (and I hope you do/will), than you know I adore my dashes and dots….the white gel pen is an all time favorite of mine and I also adore working with Bakers twine. It is not only sooooo darn affordable, it can create a wow in an instant!

Well…thoughts???? Would this perky Birthday Card make you happy! If you have time, please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!
There is lots of HOPPING to do…so please have fun….be a sponge and take it all in – there is so much to see and I realize that it takes a while for us to "figure out" the new catalog…I am thankful that we have a HOP like this to help!

The next stop is Debra Simonis at Deb's Stampin' Grounds, number 19 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!

Well….I think that yesterday's card was fun…and I know that there are not many changes for today but I hope that you can see that making subtle changes and also changing the orientation of the card makes a huge difference.
When I first started with card making, I always just made cards in the regular horizontal position like yesterdays card! WHY??? I really do not know, it was probably just the way that I learned and truthfully I think I was just comfortable with it!
Let's see what today's card is about…I simply changes it to a vertical A-2 card and then added the Rich Razzleberry as a mat and presto – a different look.

I hope that you can see that making a super quick and super simple change will give you a different look. I invite you to play with paper. Paper is a very fast and easy way to change the feel of your work. (Remember, when you have a large mat that is going to be covered up…punch it out to save paper)

Basically the card is the same….same dots around the edge (I love my dots) and the same with the flowers – one is mounted flat, the other "double" dimensionals. I think using the mat of color gives instant depth.

This is a super simple card but a card layout that you will use over and over – basic shapes…great stamps…a winner every time.
Envelope love in 2 ways – the back flap embossed with the fun polka dots and the front with the stamps that I already had out…so why not!?!?

Please click here to see yesterdays post to see the difference between the (2) cards. I personally think that you would not go wrong with either one. I think it is fun changing the orientation of the cards and please have fun with using all sorts of DSP and colors of paper!
Remember, the retiring list is out and there are many stamp sets that many of you love so you better snatch them up now and also the accessory retiring list is M E L T I N G ….these are while supplies last!
I hope that you have enjoyed this weekend fun of cards…which one do you like??? Do you tend to do more vertical or horizontal cards??? Feel free to leave a comment or send me an email!
Until tomorrow!

Here you go my friends, it is the day that I share with you a simple card and then tomorrow please pop back and you can see the same card…just "stepped up" a bit! You just cannot get anymore basic than this sweet card.
This is what I call a formula card and a layout that you can use over and over – simple change up the stamps and color schemes and wowzers – you have a new card and your secret is safe with me.

Today's card is a regular A-2 card in Crushed Curry and then the white is just a smidge smaller. The super fun DSP is from the Flower Pot Designer Series Paper.
The polka dots are not only fun, they are classic and timeless.

The (2) stamp sets I used are Sassy Salutations and Flower Shop and YIPPEE – they are both staying in the new catalog….WOOT-WOOT.
Remember we have a punch that POPS out these flowers in a snap! I am soooo darn excited to see what new stamps and punches SU is going to come out with…

Can you see that I kept one of the flowers flat and then on the other one, I "doubled" up a stampin' dimensional in the center? This works every time to create a fun depth.
For the centers of the flowers, I used up scraps of Crushed Curry and the 1/2" punch. Darn, those punches sure do come in handy!

The envelope was a double whammy today! I used crushed curry, the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Big Shot to create a simple, clean and fun back flap.
On the front I used the stamps (as they are already inked up so why not???) as it is the perfect finishing touch.

Now can't you see that this card is timeless and wow, how much fun it would be with different colors! This is another one of those cards to make up a bunch and keep them on hand, "just in case"!!!
Do you ever make up a bunch of cards and give as a gift? This would be one of them to keep up your sleeve. I am excited for you to pop back tomorrow to see what changes I have made.
Please feel free to email me if I can be of help, enjoy your Saturday and I deeply appreciate you popping in and supporting my Stampin' Up! fun. It is my goal to make you feel a sense of accomplishment and encourage you to continue to reach, stretch and try to make this whole card making rewarding!
Until tomorrow!

Monday..Monday and today is a very SUPER special day as today's is my dear John's 60th Birthday! What perfect timing to be able to celebrate right after tax season. The best part is that the (3) peeps came home for the weekend and it was a total surprise – truly the best gift one could have! (Please feel free to skip the next 4 paragraphs but I just wanted to share)
Peep #1 left his home in North Carolina around 8 p.m. on Thursday night with his adorable new puppy he rescued, Leo and at midnight I had a text from him that he was getting too tired so he pulled over and stayed at a hotel (smart choice). He has a phone meeting at 9 a.m. on Friday so he woke up super early and arrived home before 8:30 and scared John to death!
Peep #2 left her college at 2 p.m. on Friday and arrived home around 8 p.m. and she came bopping through the door and said – "Hi Dad" – John was stunned and the best thing was, his eyes filled up with tears of joy as we had just seen Hannah.
Peep #3 left Boston at 4 p.m. on Friday and the other 2 tried to keep John up watching movies (I was long gone in bed) and at 12:45 a.m. – in through the back door Will came in and once again scared John to death as they were watching an intense movie and he never in a million years thought that Will could come home.

Needless to say it was very, very special for John and WOW was he surprised and the best thing is…we did absolutely nothing other than being together here at the house…Hannah and I played with the horses…the guys worked in getting the garden ready….we took the boat out for a great time together…cooked together and I even talked them into play Scrabble with me – a perfect weekend! Yesterday was hard to see them go back but it was just fabulous and oh so special to both John and I!
O.k. – sorry for the personal scoop but I must say, that's what I adore about blogging…I feel like I get to share with you a bit of who I am…let's get to the card!

Today's Monday challenge is to make a masculine Birthday Card! We all seem to struggle with masculine cards so how about it? Hopefully you can find some time today or tomorrow (9 p.m. Eastern) to make a masculine Birthday Card and email it to me and I will randomly pick the winner and announce it on Wednesday and you will win a white get pen and this card!
I have blogged many times about this bundle…and you can see that today's card is another example of how versatile it is. Remember, in the Occasion Catalog it is a bundle (which saves you an instant 15%) but when the new catalog comes out, it might not be in a bundle so I would not wait – it's a keeper!
I am the very 1st to realize that it is a super expensive set but I will say that the mileage you get with the stamps and these amazing diecut sentiments…WOW!

I am a huge fan of Jennifer McQuire and she posted this video on using hearts in a circle! Today's card is created from her inspiration. I used the circle framelits as my "template" and truly did not spend much time at all…The over all card is a 5" card in Vanilla and this piece is 1/4" smaller (4 3/4")

Because time was against me and because I have the stamp set in the photopolymer, I took the plunge and eye balled it as shown below.

I know it is not perfect but it is from my heart, I stamped in between the 4 stamped "birthday" again . I simply bent ever so slightly the stamp to make a subtle arch.
One product that I think is overlooked in the catalog and something that I think is very useful is the very vanilla coaster board. I used it for my Easter Berry Baskets and I also think it is great to use it with these sentiments.
Today – I doubled up on them as I really wanted the sentiment to be "front and center" for my card! I used the good old "green glue" to adhere!

I hope that you can find some time to make a masculine Birthday Card. This was not only fun, but it really was fast and I think that you could have fun adding to it, but I am super happy with just the way it is!

Remember, please email me your answers to the Blog Candy Challenge I gave to you on Friday! I am giving away (2) $25.00 shopping sprees and I cannot wait myself to see the retiring list and also go thru to see who are the winners!
Today is also the last day to take advantage of the weekly deals! There are some keepers this week! Thanks for popping by and I hope that your day is as special as mine…John is a wonderful husband and Dad and he is taking the day off to enjoy his special day!
Until tomorrow…it will be super exciting as the LIST WILL BE UNVEILED!!!! Woot-woot!

Let's have fun again seeing a stepped up version from yesterday's card but I must admit….I am saying YIKES – I hope that you like this as it is not the most glorious step up but if you had it in your hands….you would be smiling from ear to ear!
Before we get to the card today….I need to let you all know a secret…it's official –
I AM AN ADULT!
Are you saying WHAT?
Well…today is Hannah's 21st birthday...my red caboose is 21 so it is official…I am entering that phase of disbelief that everyone is "officially an adult" but I can say honestly, I am sooooo proud of all of my peeps! Age is one thing that never bothers me one bit…
Let's get to the card today and go over the slight differences but believe me, when you order the clear envelopes and send someone a card in them….you will quickly become the most talked about person as it is very special to get in the mail!

To me I am amazed at how they can be mailed, below in the photo you will see some tips but truly, this is so much fun. I have found that if I use stampin' dimensionals, it does go through fine with a single stamp but if you have embellishments like pearls, buttons etc…I would add extra postage.

Let's get to the picture of seeing them side by side. The biggest difference is that I changes the orientation of the card. I wanted you to see the beauty and fun with mailing a card in a clear envelope! (of course you could mail the card from yesterday as it is the same size)
Wouldn't you be smiling if you received this and saw that adorable cake looking at you when you opened your mailbox? Even though I do not have a fun liner for your envelope today, trust me – these clear envelopes will make you be the best card sender…EVER!

I also added the punched out circles…so easy and wowzers, so festive! I hope that these bring an instant smile to your face….see below my tips!

I know that when I received a card in a clear envelope I felt sooooo special…and we are all soooo special – so I say – order these gems! Trust me on this one, you will be the shining star!
I loved all of the comments yesterday and I will be that "turtle" and I am going to stick my neck out and attempt a video for you using the aqua painters for you this week. ( no judgments – I'll do it from my heart)
To me in many ways the aqua painters are very similar to me as heat embossing is….an instant WOW that will make you feel proud. It really is a great technique to do and I do hope that I can encourage you to try it!

I thank for you popping by today and I thank you for your on going support. This is the final days for Sale-a-bration so please make sure that you that you check your "basics" and things that you need to order and do it before the 31st so you can get a freebie!
You know what else today is? It would have been my Mom's 83 Birthday…how special is it that Hannah and my Mom share the same special day…we used to love to celebrate together…
The 3 of us have the same middle name…"Louise" – my Dad always said we are is (3) Louise's….and we loved just the 3 of us to do something special together. I know that in spirit my wonderful Mom is so proud of Hannah so Happy Birthday to 2 very special ladies!
You know what tomorrow is… I have a fun personal challenge for you!

Wowzers, it's the weekend already and that means today is a Simple Saturday Card for you and please pop back tomorrow for Step it up Sunday where you can see the same (basically) card and then tomorrow I will "tweak" it a bit!
I do not think that there has ever been a hostess stamp that I have used more than this set and I adore the name, Time to Celebrate. (This will be one that once it retires, I will still keep it as the stamps and sentiments are so much fun.) If I were you, I would email me and let's make a plan for you to earn this! – It's a keeper!

Probably the #1 reason I love this stamp set is because so easy and fun to color without having to do a lot of thinking! Let's get to some fun pictures and scoop for today's card!

Today's card is in Pink Pirouette in a vertical fold and the 2 rectangles are the same size, 3 1/2" X 3" in Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush. Just a quick off set does wonders in a jif but the real pop is the white dashes with the gel pen and the POP with the stampin' dimensionals.

Using the Aqua Painters is both fun and easy….just practice and practice and you will learn that the are fun. So many of you are intimidated by them – they really are a great tool and wow, so affordable for all that they can do, just squeeze your ink pad and go to town. NO RULES….just do it and have fun!

Last but you know me…I would never not have a fun and special envelope…this was a breeze as I pulled out the All Abloom Paper Stack and PRESTO – magic happened with the Envelope Liner Framelit!
Well…thoughts……now can't you see how easy this card comes together in a jif! You could easily change up colors and POOF – a new and different card – this is one of those "keepers"

Please feel free to email me or leave a comments….LET'S TALK ABOUT COMMENTS…you all made me smile so much with yesterdays comments – loved them! I am going to do another "Spring Cleaning Tips" for you next Friday!
You all know the scoop… the products I used today are scrolling below….feel free to shop away or also if I were you….HIT THAT CLEARANCE CORNER – there are some real keepers!
See you all tomorrow!
